You didn’t say what build you use. However, if you take LB zerker ranger which counters turret engi you shouldn’t have problem dealing with them. Best thing you can do is to find some turret engi and ask him to do 1v1 with you for a while.

If you fight any 2 classes at a time you are gonna die pretty fast, not just rangers.

These arenas could only be added as a casual pvp mode, since balancing classes for 2 different pvp modes and pve is impossible(as seen in WOW). So they could be more of a disappointment compared to what people expect.

Ranked queue is atm worse for soloqers than teamq before. It would work if soloers were only matched with and against soloers and premades of 2,3,5 people faced each other.

Good idea in my opinion would be to limit might stacks from 1 source(selfbuffing) to 10 or whatever the reasonable number would be.

The sad part is that its true for the most part. A casual solo Q player will never come close to top rank like in the previous system.

From what I understand, these maps will still be available in unranked arena. So if you like to play any of them just queue up for unranked.

well the matchmaking is back to fast but kittened games so

During offpeak hours ranked arenas now look like hotjoin. No one is capping decapping, people take side buffs in temple, everyone rushes to big fight on mid point etc.

I will too rather wait 5 minutes for a match, if it doesn’t put me in group with pve people.

For some reason there is a huge surge of pve players in rated arenas. So if you want to have a good time or just care about your win ratio I would advise to take a break from pvp and let things settle.

My point is, no matter what i did yesterday some games were impossible to win due to (no) skill of my teammates. After the adjustment the quality of my teammates improved.

The matchmaking is a lot better now. I have played 6 games so far, all of them able to carry to victory. Right decision.

It was stated that MMR will stay for ranked matches. Yet experienced people with 2k matches are getting teamed up and against rabbit ranks in ranked arenas.

OK I just read the page referenced by the Dev. It states that rank IS part of the algorithm on an experimental basis.

^this. How come dragon ranks with high MMR from team arenas are being put with PVE people who are not even rank 30.

If you play just for leaderboards I feel sorry for you.

If you don’t want to lose your position you made with team and still want to play solo just join unranked queue. That’s one of the reason they are making it.

Currently only D/D ele is a must have, rest of the team is up to each player and their synergy within the team.

From 1v1 POV
- med guard, blind, aegis and heal spamming is just crazy, even pve ppl can play it effectively
- celestial ele with might stacking

Probably be ezier to delete the map because its too hard for most people to learn/adapt. So they suggest things like above.

It’s already too hard for most people doing just regular conquest mode. Adding glass/jumpad makes their brain melt.

PvP condition build, very high bleed stacks

It sure is viable for roaming when i play that build, but then again I’m pvp player and most of wvwers are free kills for me. If it doesn’t work for you, you should switch to tanky builds when roaming.

Take signet mastery instead of malicious training, replace bird with wolf and take runes of the traveler. Signet of renewal will be 90% of time better option than protect me.

If a thief is countering your zerker ranger, you must be doing something wrong.

This skill got pretty good with the patch, so people will start qqing over it. How long do you guys guess till it gets nerfed?

Has anyone notice HUGE increase in mob’s damage in these map? I went to pull 2 soldiers + 2 casters like before the patch only to find out that my river drake was instagibbed and I barely got away.

Either that, or get good.

Unfortunately making one or few classes overpowered and few not viable for a period of time and then swap their positions is the way this game is balanced.

thanks to higher rewards the teamq isnt as dead as it was before, even though there are mostly soloers in it.

Spirit ranger, bunker guardian, hambow warrior – all very very easy to play.

Having offensive class helps to get out of low percentile, so playing shatter is your best option. Also you could try to command your teammates. Be aware of enemy players positions for free decaps. I have been in 7% after reset and made it to top 25 soloq with a berserker ranger. So its definitely possible to get out of MMR hell.

Tpvp is dead, especially team tournaments where there are maybe 5 active ‘serious’ teams and they dont play with each other much. It’s normal in EU that during primetime your PUG top 500 meets premade top 50 in team queue. There are probably more people playing hotjoin daily than the amount of players in tournaments in one month.

3.5k+ hours is just sick. You know its almost playing 5 months nonstop ><.

Anyway 4.8k deaths during 1790 hours.

If more people will use it then more people will come qq here and maybe we will get fix sooner.

Now just stop playing soloq and wait for rewards when they decide to reset leaderboards

I’m afraid it won’t be possible due to terrific coding used for this game. Some devs mentioned earlier it would be too difficult.

If the skills actually worked when you press them(like in other games) it would be good. But Anet has the most crappy companion AI in gaming history so you would end up more frustrated than you are now.
