So just wait a day or two and you’ll get all the info for the first elite specialization.

Next week another.

6 hours of farming. In all of my maps I have only seen 1 person link it in mapchat. Considering how people would link it like crazy if they got it, I have to assume that literally only 1 person out of the thousands that I have seen today has gotten one in their time with me.

I however… am not blessed by RNGeesus. And never have been.

What about a change to the Leg Specialist trait. As it is at the moment it is very lackluster. If youre fighting anything with a pet or summon (hell even a rock dog) your leg specialist usually ends up hitting them instead of the actual person.

Is it possible to change Leg Specialist into a internal CD per target. So, hammer shock has 5, could all 5 of them get affected by hammer shock instead of just 1 out of the 5 that you hit. This would actually enable me to chase down rangers instead of their pets. This nerf for it to be on kitten internal cd has crippled leg specialist forever because we can no longer immobilize more than 1 target with our multi target cripples.

Yes its bugged on certain servers at the moment. In this thread I explained how you can get out of it and still continue with your Norn. Till then keep sending tickets.

Servers that I have confirmed that work; Piken Square, Ring of Fire, Desolation (you will have to guest to one of these)

The Great Hunt is bugged

DontJudgeMe.3958

Yes so this seems to be bugged indeed. This concerns people creating new Norn characters.

If you create a norn character you simply have to temporarily guest to a different server to continue (Seafarer’s Rest seems to be bugged too) Apparenly, according to Natejagger, Desolation server is fine and I personally have tried Ring of Fire.

This is how you guest for those that don’t know:
You go to character select and press the “World Selection” button.
A window will appear with server names, pick a server that does work (Desolation or Ring of Fire) and afterwords press the “Guest” button.
The window will not disappear but don’t worry, just double click on your character and you will be in a working map.

If anyone encounters maps that you’re stuck, please guide the new people through the Guesting process, it helps a lot. We don’t want to ruin their first day of GW2!

Change to Berserker Stance

in Warrior

Posted by: DontJudgeMe.3958

DontJudgeMe.3958

“Currently, we have skills that provide a similar effect, such as the warrior’s Berserker Stance (condition immunity with no counterplay). " – Revenant deep dive announcement.

So from this line we can assume that our current Berserker Stance will change into the new Resistance boon (Much like Balance Stance, it’s a stance that applies a boon: stability). Meaning conditions can still be applied to us during Berserker Stance except they simply won’t have any effect on us for as long as the Resistance boon lasts.

What do you guys think of this? I for one am not sure yet how satisfied I should be about this. I like how Berserker Stance is used to anticipate condi bombs and then apply pressure by being able to ignore all of the condies. Changing it into a boon would change the way it is used because of the ability that other classes (usually condi builds) have of stripping/converting our boons into conditions. So our own ‘anti-condi’ boon could be converted into conditions on us. For list of skills/traits/sigils that effect boonstripping see here

I am aware that they mean to create counterplay for Berserker Stance, but unless they keep the cooldowns and durations in mind I am not sure how useful it will be after the change. This will indeed create counter play, but the counter play is easily accessible to classes that a boon like ‘Resistance’ will have to counter. IF it will be on a 60 second cooldown and for a short duration of 8 seconds then I don’t see the real use of it since condi builds have access to boon strip/conversion on a more regular basis (mesmer has a strip boon on their auto attack 3rd chain, not saying that it always hits but its there). What about medi guardians that keeps applying burning and blindness, no way to cancel out their blindness application because our boon would get stripped immediately.
I am curious how they’ll change Berserker Stance and hopefully in a good way.

What are your thoughts on this and have you guys picked up any “new tech” ideas that will be applicable for us Warriors apart from the new boons/condies (pretty sure either Warrior or the Warrior specialization will get Taunt… a tanky warrior specialization focused on being the target and retaliation maybe)?

Could really use “Revealed” status like Ranger’s Sick ’em skill.

Very New to game Warrior questions...

in Warrior

DontJudgeMe.3958

I’ll just repeat what Sagramor said mostly.

1. In GW2 (as stated before) you don’t rely on stats to dodge for you. You are in charge of dodging and managing your endurance. Same goes for blocking, other MMO’s simply… Would you rather win a fight because you perfectly used your block at the exact timing when it was needed, or would you rather lose a fight because the RNG% for blocking failed on you?

2. As stated above. Sure you can get rid of bleeding, but the sword applies bleeding on almost every auto attack (every 3rd applies a cripple). Condition (these are things like bleed, poison, confusion etc etc) build on warriors have become slowly more popular in the WvW roaming scene and a mix of it in PvP as well (longbow applying bleeds and burn).

3. PvE (at the moment, the upcoming expansion can change this) is simply a place where doing the most damage you can is the best build, most damage simply comes from a good rotation (at the moment GS + Axe/Mace).
However in sPvP? People say GS is bad, don’t use GS, when I enter a match and another warrior says “GS? Really?” I ask him after the x’th amount of time after I killed him “Leave the dark side, come back to the way Warrior is meant to be played. Stand with me brother, for together we shall cleanse the disease called Longbow warriors.”
In WvW? Thieves hate me, mesmers flame me, engineers get confused by me, rangers detest me, guardians sheek shelter from me, necromancers fear me, elementalists mistform back into their tower from me. This is what a warrior is when played the way you want to play him with the weapons you want to play him.

What is your set up may I ask? I hate cookie cutter builds, and find it ruins the diversity of game play. However I also don’t want to be a lame duck either just feeding the enemy kills while I wallow around.

I really like Sword / Shield as it “Feels” like a Warrior, just wish the shield attacks were on a lowered CD, or the Shield gave a better armor bonus ( damage mitigation).

It seems Guardians can do everything a Warrior can but better and survive longer while buffing, healing, protecting? Maybe i am wrong….

I’ll keep leveling and see how it goes!

My setup changes. Warriors are masters of weaponry, so I treat my class like that. My warrior doesn’t want to play 1 weapon setup. In my inventory I have a mace shield sword sword warhorn warhorn longbow rifle GS hammer hammer axe + 3 different armor sets. Depending on simply how I wish to play I switch out the weapons. Today I might want to go GS+Hammer, tomorrow I might want to go super troll and go Mace/Shield + Hammer, or what if I just want to go super duper troll and go sword/shield + Rifle.
Whichever weapons you pick as a warrior, you should always pick the appropriate traits and utilities for them too (sacrifice a utility for Signet of Might when you go rifle for example, to have the unblockable skill effect).
GW2 is not meant to be played with only 1 setup, thats why we have the versatile traits, versatile utilities, versatile armor and weapons. Some setups completely counter a certain setup no matter how good you are, so you have to slightly adjust your setup to ensure you can stay on top depending on the kind of enemy you’re facing.
I feel that if you stick to 1 setup you are keeping the fun of all the other weapons from you. Just pick the weapons you love or which simply feel right for you, and then simply practise them until you make them work.

vs Mesmer: Warrior Perspective?

in Warrior

Posted by: DontJudgeMe.3958

DontJudgeMe.3958

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you’re about to face a Mesmer?
Look for mantra’s. Look for weaponset (scepter? staff? greatsword?) if in WvW (What food is the mesmer running? Condi? Power?) This all already tells me what kind of battle I’m about to get myself into.

How do you feel about your odds of winning?
Very good, unless I get caught off guard by a condi spec when I expect a burst spec.

Strategies and tactics?
Condi? Brawler’s recovery + Reflect projectiles to just show the mesmer how silly he is. Power? Go for stances, dont overlap the usage of your stances at the same time, its useless (dont endure pain and berserker stance, you just waste damage mitigation).

Which type of Warrior build do you feel best fights Mesmer?
Depends completely on the way you play. Mace+shield + hammer to troll condi mesmers back, Mace+shield+GS to finish him off faster. GS+Hammer for anything else and just pay close attention and don’t over extend.

What Warrior skills (weapon or utility) are most important to have in this fight?
Signet of Stamina + Berserkerstance when dealing with condi. Anything else its really about the dodge skill. Got to time the incoming burst (is a GS mesmer very close to you and he steps forward or his #4 animation starts? Begin the dodge because you’re about to get clone bursted for example) Beside that I’d say endure pain (when you run out of endurance this can quickly save you from getting 50% of your hp bar at least being stripped away from you).

How do you feel about Mesmer in general?
Hate them. All they do is run away and let their clones fight their battles. I am a Norn kitten it. Fight me like a real man!

DontJudgeMe.3958

Didn’t knew stances had cast times (they don’t). Aside from that, yeah we didn’t get anything fancy, about time someone fixed our rush. Sure we need plenty more fixes and sure the other classes seem to get fancier stuff, but in the end I’ll still win most of my duels thanks to this tiny fix of the rush and the burst damage increase (they only state 10%, so… 20% since it does double damage when the target is below 50% health? I’ll take that as a double win then.)

Overall they really mostly have adjusted some animation speeds of casting animations (for attacks that have tells on them anyway or have a delayed activation etc etc).

It’s a small change and if they keep putting out more of these that would really help all the classes out (as long as they nerf stuff too because buffing everything isn’t the way to go ofc)

Anyway, doubt this will impact gameplay much they are all just shaves in my opinion. But I’ll let you know after I test it out myself.

Don’t think we can simply give you advice based off of this. It all depends how you want to play yourself. I’d suggest to first get exotic armor (dungeon tokens/low cost) and try some different setups yourself. Also try the gw2 build editor and try to create a similar setup your used to in sPvP and used that as a building foundation.

[WvW] Advice on Hammer/Dual mace build

in Warrior

Posted by: DontJudgeMe.3958

DontJudgeMe.3958

Well, first of all, your armor is too high, you could lose some toughness and invest more into power/vit/ferocity. Try to max out your armor at around 3k, that should be more than enough (means you can spend about 300 stats in something else)
If you run 6/0/6/0/2, you have access to cleansing ire, so the healing skill Mending isn’t worth it, you might as well go for healing signet/healing surge.
Lastly, having 3 in discpline really makes a warrior, a warrior. Reducing weaponswap to 5 seconds is very useful to keep rotating skills from different weaponsets. If you would change a traitline i’d try 6/0/5/0/3, staying mostly the same but with the added weaponswap cooldown reduction.

So, the 1600 tokens + a laurel for a brilliant, in concept, tonic.

Early announcement of the tonic:
“Infinite Watchknight Tonic
Once you complete the Clockwork Chaos meta achievement, you’ll receive a tonic that allows you to transform into a Watchknight at any time.”

However, it can’t be used in a place where it can be a lot of fun: WvW.
The cooldown on reusing it is 30 minutes while the active lasts only 5 minutes (which overrules the ‘any time’ part in the announcement).

Is there any way we could petition for the cooldown to at least last as long as the duration or the other way around?

The “Potion of Ascalonian Mage” lasts 30 minutes and is usable in WvW. Why can’t this tonic be used like that as well?

It would make an awesome game a lot more awesome.

As a side note:
Endless Quaggan Tonics works in WvW (no cooldown on reuse). You can change into a fighting Kodan in Edge of the Mists. Ascalonian Mage potion works in WvW. Asura’s are still smaller than Watchknights, Humans are just as skinny as Watchknights. You don’t get stat benefits, you use your own gear while in Watchknight transformation.
Why would we not be allowed to use it? It’s not like I want to use it all the time, but wouldn’t it be fun to have a combat transformation raid in WvW? All kinds of people as silly characters from the game?

I never said I had trouble with it. I just said that it happens alot (kiting).

You still can’t compare the heals alone, you didn’t read it correctly. A warrior does not have all the options for the different kinds of boons/conditions like the ele has. It’s not my fault that you won’t use them in your setup or whatever, but the fact is. An ele has the potential to get more/different boons/conditions than a warrior. These help out no matter how you look at it.
Sure the extra hp/armor helps, but we’re a heavy class. You want more armor? Don’t play a light class. Because you are a light class you get the abilities/boons/conditions to mitigate damage if you time kitten right.
Toughness does not work for conditions.
I’m not talking about only pvp when I said something about your elemental weapons. Dungeons, Icebow, Fiery GS, hella OP. Don’t get me wrong, I love ele’s who know how/when to use them… But it makes bosses so much easier, you can burn them down in so much less time with these.
Fields and AOE/Ranged damage do matter. Because while the warrior is still trying to close the gap between the person who is kiting (and the kiter should be using chills by now which increases skill cooldowns) the kiter will be still dealing damage to the warrior because he is trying to reach his target. That is why we have stability sure, but chill, cripple aren’t negated by that. Yes we have traits that reduce the duration, but for that duration we are still a big target for anyone to hit. Which is fine, otherwise it would be too easy.
Every weapon of an ele has apart from the standard 1~5 skills another 3 elements attached to it. Your skills (without traits) have much more potential than our (if you count both weaponsets) 10 max skills. So ofcourse our traits will have additional effects while yours should have less. What, you want to tell me that apart from having 10 more abilities you want them to do even more stuff for you as well? Now that sounds unfair to me, right?
Mistform might have a long cooldown, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a great skill if used correctly. (warrior stances are kinda long too, not that long, but it’s still a skill with a long cooldown on it and these stances have to be combined to get the same effect, we would need Endure pain (no damage) + Balance stance (stability) + Berserker stance(no conditions) Because if you look at it, nothing can be done to an ele in mistform, so don’t complain with your 1 skill having 15 seconds more cooldown than our stances) And this is a perfect example why you shouldn’t compare skills that look alike. You have 1 skill that does what 3 of our skills do combined?

Happy Holidays and try again mister ele

I’ll take the bait. (I play an elementalist main so you understand where these come from)

  • Healing signet 400 HP/Sec, Signet of restoration 200 HP per case (with after cast, most spells can’t even be cast 1 per second).
  • All of your 20% reduction skills come with a bonus (i.e. like 20% reduction on rifle/harpoon with pierce while rangers require a master trait that only gives pierce).
  • on the topic of crackshot, Eles 20% reduction to water magic cool down was moved to master because of balance (Devs think skill reductions are master level), Crackshot is adept…
  • mobility on Greatsword, 4 words: “Ride the lightning nerf” (Eles were nerfed into the ground because of our ability to disengage, we’ll see what happens with warrior mobility).
  • over 1000 additional “Free attribute points” (8000 HP = 800 vitality and armor 300 armor = 300 toughness) while maintaining comparable (or better) DPS, better control, and great mobility.

should I continue?

You probably should because I’ll break this down for you.

You can’t compare a sustain for 2 different classes. Ele’s have access to a variety of boons which the warriors doesnt. Including 33% damage reduction. You’ve got mistform. It’s silly to compare your sustain with ours because you got to consider every other skill an ele has and compare them with ours as well and then figure out what could even it out. So this statement is removed from the table instantly. (I wont even begin about the amount of fields and barriers you have)

Greatsword increased power and cooldown reduction are still in different traitlines. I don’t remember when I saw someone using a rifle, that’s just silly. If you have so many different options to choose from, and they get a skill reduction as well, you could be spamming skills by placing your head on the keyboard. A warrior has a set amount of options available so the cooldown debate is completely different as well, you’ve got nothing to compare here unless we would receive new ‘actions’ if we pressed F1/F2 etc.

Last time I checked Ride the Lightning wasn’t affected by cripple. If you cripple a warrior his mobility on all greatsword skills is suddenly reduced to nothing but a small walk. Compared these 2 things is again, pointless and wrong since they have different mechanics attached to them.

We got more hp, so what? You got protection, misform, RTL, all those fields, you even got elemental weapons that looks more awesome than our weapons most of the time, have you seen the damage on fiery gs nr 4 skill? It’s ridiculous. You can’t simply state “Oh you have more hp and armor, we deserve that too.” No you don’t, your class has a whole different way of mitigating damage while the Warrior ends up being the sucker who has to absorb all the damage, chase people… because let’s face it, everyone tries to kite us, and then we have to somehow catch them and beat them up while they still have all the damage mitigation when we finally reach them.

So yes, please continue with your suggestions. As long as you simply compare skills that ‘look’ the same, you’ll always be wrong.
Have you ever fought against an Ele as a warrior? You guys play like cowards. You plant down AOE damage and keep on using ranged skills while we’re trying to chase you down with our melee wooden sticks. Keep that in mind when you try to think of your next comments about how anything that the ele has is close to a warrior, because it’s not.

please fix RUSH. again

What about signets… If you use a skill: Example a banner. If you use a banner which has a long cooldown and then switch any of your other skills to a signet, that signet will have the same cooldown as the just used banner even though you didn’t use it at all. (not confirmed with signet of rage)

What about our channeled skills breaking randomly? Example: You switch to a GS, you press nr 2, animation starts, animation does something weird, channel cancelled, hundred blades is on cooldown, no damage done.

What about the -5 seconds cooldown for weaponswap not being affected for entering/leaving water?

As a Warrior I have seen dozens of Warriors who make me feel ashamed of them playing this class of mine. If you look at other classes, they got so many options compared to the warrior that saying that Warrior is an easy class to play is just invalid.
If you get beat up by a person who just rolled a warrior and is playing it in his first week, it’s not because Warrior is easy… It’s because you’re bad.
If something is easy to L2P, it is also easy to predict. An experienced player will know how to react to a warrior. And wtf is easy to learn anyway? All classes have the same amount of available buttons. If you’re telling me that you still can’t memorize what your class can do after a week, then I’m just going to pull out my GS stand still, press my number 2 and wait till you walk in it… Because apparently, you will.

I just find it amusing how people tend to complain about other classes instead of looking at what they can do to change their own build and come out on top. I’ve only played on my warrior since launch. It’s the only character that is 80 on my account and I don’t plan on changing anytime soon.
I’ve sticked with almost the same setup since launch with small iterations on it complimenting the changes. I’ve never went to any other profession section complaining about ‘your X is OP.’ instead I just adjusted my playstyle.
In WvW the most interesting fights are vs other warriors/guardians. These are usually the only classes that actually stay and keep on fighting even if they are on the losing side. Unlike pretty much any other class that tries to escape after certain threshold of hp has been reached. Are they bots? if (healthPercentage < 30) { Run(); } ?
But all in all, this was just done for my own pleasure and ‘smirk’ satisfaction.

PS. Sorry about forgetting the Elementalist, I will add them.

Elementalist section about how OP your elemental weapons are. Have you seen the damage output in dungeons? Fiery GS OP, huehue? Mistform on downed in WvW enters you through tower/keep/castle portals. You got all those fancy fields and effects and particles going on. We got a fire field…. 1… It’s on a bow.
Ranger section…… for having a longer range? No wait… that’s not right…. They can use a shortbow! Yeah that’s it. I want one too. I want to go : ‘Pew, pew, pew.’ Or have a Pet. Let me name some animal kitten it!

If you don’t play a Warrior, stay out plz? You’re wasting our profession space which we want to use for laughs and giggles how we still win from the other classes while not playing like a coward.

Norn Warrior all the way. Be wary, your worst enemies are your cramp spaces where your camera kittens up everything, jumping puzzles can get very annoying.

I found the norn story entertaining. Bunch of drunkards trying to organize stuff is always a hoot.

You guys misunderstood.

This thread isn’t about nerfs or buffs. It’s about our mechanics that don’t work as they should be working. It’s not about builds or gear or whatever.

Simply put: What annoys you on your daily basis as you play your warrior?

So my examples were Fast Hands going on cooldown even though it shouldn’t. Leg Specialist being activated on targets without you having control over the target you are immobilizing. (Consider 1h sword skills can hit multiple targets, most of the times a pet ends up being immobilized instead of the person I am trying to immobilize).

Leg Specialist to change from a 5 second cooldown into a 5 second cooldown on the target.

Example: If you’re fighting a mesmer and you use the greatsword 4, bladetrail, and hit a clone, the clone will get immobilized while the mesmer will only be crippled`for a moment.

How it should be: The cooldown would count per target, if a mesmer and its clone would get hit by bladetrail both of them should be immobilized. When the greatsword flies back again, the cooldown on each target would not immobilize them, instead only the cripple will get activated.

the Fast Hands, 15 points in discpline passive, trait to be fixed.
Trait description: “Weapon-swapping recharges faster.”

Examples:
If a player enters/leaves water in combat, the weapon switch cooldown is activated and the player has to wait 5 seconds before he can switch weapons.
If a player picks up/puts down a banner or any other siege/object in combat, the weapon switch cooldown is activated and the player again can’t switch weapons for 5 seconds.

Without the trait:
If a player enters/leaves water in combat, the weapon switch cooldown is NOT activated and the player can switch weapons immediately without waiting for a cooldown.
If a player picks up/puts down a banner or any other siege/object while being in combat, the weapon switch cooldown is not activated and the player can switch weapons immediately.

What is bugging/annoying you since day 1 and what are you waiting for?

You can stick with what you already know, just switch out the war horn for a shield (to mitigate damage once you’ve dealt your damage in your squishy form – let your skills come back off cool-down and go back in)
This way you keep the mobility of the sword, you can switch the shield to war horn while you are roaming and use the 4 for movement speed and go back to shield immediately in case you spot an enemy.
For roaming I prefer the great sword over a hammer for it’s mobility, but it’s also important to play with what feels right for yourself.
You’ll have to ditch the shouts as well if you want to go dmg dealer, so retrait accordingly.

Seems like, as said before, you got unlucky with the blade trail and encountered a bug. It shouldn’t hit 3 times. That might have to do something with the timing between his blade trail and whirlwind attack. (he whirlwinds over you as the blade comes back to him and somehow you got hit a 3rd time)
After it you got hit by momentous strike, which is probably damage from a dodge as he uses the dodge to close the gap between you and him.
After that you take the full 100b in the face.
While the downed necro is still attacking you with his weak attacks.

Hope I got the scenario a bit right from the battle log

Lesson: Dodge away from 100b’s.

I played with a friend for a while who was D/D as well.

You’re basically there to take the beating and interrupt them. Hammer for the interrupts and some aoe damage and i’d pick a sword/shield to be able to quickly jump to your thief buddy if hes in trouble and shield to interrupt anything that is going on near him at that moment.

FGJ is great for thieves and OMM as well, you pretty much want to do anything to increase his damage. So use your OMM on the target he is trying to kill instead of your own target.

While running and no targets in sight: Change hammer to gs (mobility) and shield to warhorn (speedboost for both of you). GS is also great for catching people offguard because you can cross so much land in a little time (GS 3- 5 – Sword 2 and eventually shield bash to stun them and set him up for your thief buddy)

As a third skill you might want Stomp, to ensure you can protect your buddy.

Elite, Signet of rage (for the stats of course and to be able to keep up with those fast thieves) of course.

Healing/Sustain: Healing signet for the sustained heal and if you get those shouts in your build, you might as well get the shout masteries which will heal your thief buddy as well.

Those are my 2 cents.

Yet another WVW build advice thread.

Can’t do anything else but agree on the Endure pain. I would also lose the trait for Defy Pain. The cooldown is too long, spiked armor gets triggered more often and you can often lol at people when they still keep attacking you while you have retaliation.

I ran healing signet before it’s buff. With warrior’s healthpool it’s a good sustain skill. It takes a while to delete all that hp, and while they are trying to whittle us down, we are slowly regenerating it back. With enough toughness I often regen faster in a 1v2 (with dodging/blocking the incoming burst skills ofc, dont stand afk!) than they can deal damage to me.

And about replacing endure pain… I guess I would suggest Shake It Off. You will keep the 3rd stunbreaker and instead you will also get a condition remove (since you seem to lacking that in your current build).

Those are my 3 cents.

Plenty of us also start a party by shouting in map chat and inviting anyone (from any class) and still doing the entire dungeon in a pretty quick pace.

Don’t go hating on most of us when it’s just a small group of us!

cba to retype it all. Suggested a build in a thread right above yours. It’s a small difference but this build makes you a great roamer as well, can easily solo most objectives and fight off any class (so far)

In the future, try to check the forum before you ask a question, a similar thread might be going on. (or in this case, alot of them)

WvW build..

Berserker stats on the sword/shield, just like the gs (Power, Prec, Crit dmg) …. Because we need damage from somewhere and weapons give a high amount of stats. (they can be easily farmed in the CoF dungeon if you don’t want to bother buying them)

The sigil on the weapon is your choice, but I use a combination of Fire and Crit%.
1h Sword = Fire, Shield = Crit %, GS = Fire.

We get some crit from our own buffs which is enough to trigger the fire sigil in most cases (20% fire sigil is enough, 30% is pretty expensive) This adds an unexpected burst to our attacks.

But as always. Copy pasting a build does not make it your own build. ALways try to see what feels comfortable for yourself and adjust it.

For instance, many people lately pick the mace over sword, I still go with the sword for mobility and high slow capabilities.

My preference is the immortal warrior.

Gear: P-v/t or V-t/p, Berserker weapon
Rune: Either Melandru or Soldier, your pick. (I switch them depending on situation)
Traits: 0/0/25/30/15
Weapons: Sword/Shield – GS
Skills: Healingsignet, FGJ, SIO, OMM, Signet of rage

Had great succes before the healing signet buff, now… I feel immortal.
The weapon choice because of the high mobility. With these weapons you can chase anyone down or escape out of any situation (block helps significantly with this).

Traits: Dogged March, Shield Mastery / Leg specialist, Lung Capacity, Vigorous shouts / Signet mastery

I tried many different builds but I always end up coming back to this. The sustain on myself + sustain damage I deal can outlast pretty much anyone as far as I have fought.

Great for teamplay and roaming. Can kill camps (focus scouts first) and you can sustain your team (shouts and buffs)

I’ve seen a lot of builds like mine, but not quite the same. I guess the success is in the small details.

Warrior Downed State 3 Sucks

DontJudgeMe.3958

Yes, for PvP/WvW our downed state sucks, but that’s simply because in a PvP/WvW scenario everyone should have the same downed skills.
Some downed states are obviously better than others, unless the downed skills will be the same for each class in PvP/WvW I don’t see anyone not complaining about them.

Can ANY Warrior build do this???

I can safely say that I am a sturdy warrior on my server. I can safely say that you wont see fights like these as a warrior. Well, I don’t count fights against upleveled players. Any class can go 1v5 vs them if properly geared that’s not exciting. Unless you get snared, rooted, knockbacked until forever.

But what I can tell you is, us warriors can take down those raid bosses even though we can not fight as they fight. I have had fights vs 2 d/d ele’s like that. I had random upleveled players following me. Whenever I FINALLY got 1 of the ele’s down, one of the upleveled players died and got the enemy back up. But once they are alone it’s a fight of a couple of minutes with the elementalist raid boss, but so far Warriors prefail. I love hunting thiefs and ele’s in WvW. I don’t like mesmers tho. Too confusing.

The trait skill that snares on cripple effects is amazing for situations like that. Your sword can immobilize them twice if hit on its way out and back and a rifle has a cripple so thats another immobilize. A longbow has a cripple so thats another immobilize.

That is basically my go to when they start running. Throw sword, if that misses get closed > use 3/5 to get close > switch to rifle > use 2 > pew pew a bit > throw bolas > switch to sword > 3 into range > 100b …. not like this combo works 100% of the time… But it gives an idea on how you can use your skills to stay in range and keep doing damage.
