Why are you wasting everyone’s time and energy coming into the thief forum getting passive aggressive about a thief deciding to play DP with staff? Either take this to the spvp forums or queue with a full group.
I just wanted to note that since taking out the lag event in the middle I actually like the desert map except for the giant pointless random cliffs north of fire keep on the upper part. Also add something like a legendary dino in the center for fun.
This is the question i want awnsered by a dev. Given the state of thiefs in spvp and all the changes made to the game since then ie elite specs and trait rework why cant i have a 3 sec reveal. Can we just try it for one season and see. If it doesnt work just switch it back.
Sadly I don’t have pics but I still have questions. Why is this wall still glitching between wood and stone after patchnotes say it has been fixed? Why are shield generators blocking siege placement? Also why Dragon banner?
I liked my build before HoT better, but that was before they nerfed condi clear, removed the precision to vitality trait, jumbled the rest of the traits into terrible places and finally removed guard stacks from wvw. After that pile of nerfs daredevil became the better option the second HoT hit stores. With all the new reveals dumped on top of the nerfs to baseline endurance, the added mobility of daredevil tops anything on base class now. But like I said, if I could choose between my build today and my build 8 months ago, my old build would win hands down.
So much this. I hope things get better in 2016. No actions since the June 23rd patch last year have I felt this game going in the right direction. Plus the lack of developer communication is infuriating.
I believe it is because of the same salt that the other 8 professions refuse to admit we need a buff to complete overhaul. In there eyes it’s our turn smh. Stealth can be completely shut down by other professions even after all these years of nerfs. Some of which wasn’t our fault to begin with like server side culling.
Posting to note the spell animation changes are still terrible. The thing is how it was before the patch was part of the art style of the whole game. It’s what set it apart from other mmo’s making it unique. To just throw it away and not listen the the player’s on a minor thing that doesn’t even affect balance is just ridiculous. No one asked for this. The time and energy spent on this could had been put to many other more important things like balance and fixing actual bugs.
There are so many possible outfits/gear it would be nice to change the look of the elite skill. Calling in bandits or maybe order of whispers members could add a lot of style to the game. Something other then dark sneakthief gear. You could use the same system like for heroes summon in stronghold.
There is no reason for reveal to be 4 sec anymore in spvp anymore with these change. Buff shadows embrace, let me have cloaked in shadows with Shadow’s Rejuvenation together again. Make my stealth worth it to have if people are going to reveal me for long periods of time.
There is one serious bug with Death blossom. It make you float in the air. If you get immobilize in the air you are stuck and unable to press any skill like this.
People are tired of fighting the same severs for 5 months. People were looking for changes and then the golem event happend. But sadly its the opposite of what people wanted. It was hell. So WvW is going to be dead untill we get a turnament with actual good rewards to fight for. And one new map is not going to change that with a expansion. If Anet wont take the game seriously why should the people that have been playing it for the past 2+ years?
Do you have it set to a hotkey? Unless the target decides to evades you shouldn’t be missing them. We already have a lot of shadowstep skills you could use after using #5 I don’t think it CnD needs it.
Tried some unranked Spvp. Got QQ for stomping someone in a group fight. Like im really supposed to let you get away with 5% health. win/lose who cares it’s unranked. So I stopped playing. Worst week ever.
Played some tf2 for the first time in years. lmao at soldiers with parachutes. I never would had thought of that.
Posting for support. We need a true outline for the future of WvW as a game mode and we need it now. We have been playing to long and put to much time in to keep being ignored.
2. Critical Strike changes to practice tolerance was a big change as a wvw player. Disliked at first but i adapted by replacing most of my Berserk gear with more Valkyrie gear.
6. Using dagger storm traited. Still feels the same as before the patch as a double edge sword without using a trait to heal yourself while using it. Also using it as a little bonus condition removal to go with shadows embrace changes. Not sure if will replace thieves guild for me in the long run.
Bonus: I am enjoying the the shadow arts line. It’s fun stealthing and healing allies better without always relying on shadow refuge on my utility bar all the time. I have not tried Spvp or condition builds yet.
Cloaked in shadow is a worthy GM trait if you play zerk DD, try playing without it, you really cant. I feel that most of this whine is coming from thieves who do not play zerk DD and haven’t realised how important it actually is.
Oh we realize how important it is… So much so that we also realize that forcing us to choose between it and another even more essential trait for D/D builds isn’t fair, since the weapon set was already struggling to stand out.
And let’s be real… You’re saying it’s totally fine where it is? Seriously sit down and ask yourself if the D/D build you use would be even remotely as effective as it currently is without the sustain from Shadow’s Rejuvenation, especially when compared to other sets that DO have SR because they (unlike D/D) don’t need CiS.
Ive played zerk DD since release, and have never needed to go 6 into SA for shadow rejuv, it is a crutch, most people know that, so nothing to ask myself, I can play without it very easily, blinding a 9k evi is far more important than sitting in stealth letting your hp regen, fact is if you spending to much time in stealth as a DD you are doing it wrong anyway…
Can you really say that without having shadow refuge on your bar as a crutch?
Are upgrades to camps, towers and keeps being handled the same as they are now? Does the center laser event replace the breakout event? Will guilds still be able to claim building And give buffs. Is bloodlust gone for good and if so is there some other buff to score while stomping. Is there any underwater areas for combat. Jumping puzzles anywhere

Playing today there was no lag. Unless Anet changed something scanning and getting rid of malware seemed to fix the problem. Used spybot search and destroy.
Been experiencing lag for weeks while playing this game. I think I’m losing packets of data while playing. Been this way since one of you patches or maintenance. Tried turning off firewalls (Nortan)while playing no effect. It is painful to play this game. Fine when the game launched. Used pingplotter it says I have 100% packet loss connecting to your servers. I need answers on what to do. I don’t think your next patch to fix culling will have any effect on my problem. I am about to give up on this game.

How in the hell are you supposed to be able to do the Eternal battleground jumping puzzle when your stuck in combat in the pit area after you kill a guy? You can’t make one of the jumps and you can’t even warp out or anything because your stuck in freakin combat! Slowing your running and jumping. It might have to deal with the recent thief changes not dropping agro with steath.
What am I suppose to do arenanet? Why is there a separate running speeds in combat and out of combat? Why not just have a standard speed and be done with it.
Ever since the maintenance on the 13th I have been having very noticeable lag spikes Mostly in WvW. During medium to large size battle I get lag spikes for 2-6sec making playing horrible. I play on Yaks Bend on the east coast. ISP Comcast.
