So in a ranked match I was just in it was a pretty close score. We were losing at the start but were making a comeback. A large fight ensued over the canon mechanic. Our entire team and entire enemy team were fought for the cap, which went on for quite some time, with some mesmer/ranger rotations on both teams trying to decap/cap during the big brawl at the canon.

Enemy team eventually won the fight, and our whole team got wiped on the point. But since the fight when so long, and SECOND canon buff was loaded up in the background. Is there not some kind of internal cooldown on this mechanic or something?

So what happened was, they got the first bell. Then immediately got a 2nd bell, as most the team were on respawn cooldown across the map. It pretty much ended any chance for our team to make a comeback. The score ended up something like 500 – 440. So, a balanced matchup besides this mechanic which gave one team too much advantage from winning that one fight. At least with tranq, beasts, and such you can make a comeback.

Just showing it can be done I did it about a year ago.

I am experiencing an image problem when playing GW2 in full screen mode. Is this a known bug? I need to know, because if it’s my monitor I need to send it for warranty.

I took 3 photos.

I’m kittened off because the developers made some of the achievements and events on this map to REQUIRE other players. I don’t have a problem with this generally, but when nearly ALL of them are undermined by this stupid farm.

Players complained about HoT’s having challenges that required a group of players. Well congratulations, you’ve now designed a map where nobody will help you. Because it’s more rewarding to stand around afk all day.

The farmers on lake doric are compromising this maps population and are making it more difficult for others to play through the map.

For example, most of the maps population is full of just farmers at this one spot and it’s leaving the map empty in other areas, such as the high sage on the mountain. Nobody ever goes up the mountain and the farmers are always making jokes in map chat about “its a waste of time going up the mountain, you can make gold easier by farming down the bottom”. So there is nobody on the map to complete the events/complete achievements and everything else.

Please do something about the exploiters on LAKE DORIC TODAY!

It’s better. It’s a nice enough compromise between the old Khylo and the new one (aesthetically, anyway).

The are too large, specifically Raven’s Spirit. I don’t have this glider but from seeing other players use them they cover up too much of the screen. If you are gliding anywhere near one of these prepare for it to cover your entire screen and your character!

so we got placed on a team with 3 rangers. But enemy team gets 2 guardians and 2 mesmers. I’m sorry, but couldn’t the match maker give us one of the mesmers? or one of those dragonhunters (lol). Or what about swap a ranger for an ele?

the pathetic joke matchmaking continues. One of our rangers sits on treb half match shooting at air and chalk up another loss for me! (to bronze i go today)

how can I make a difference in this game?

My downward spiral continues towards the dark depths of silver 1. I am past the point of no return.

desertion was from random dc and couldn’t get back in.

Just got on a team with 3 thieves, instant fail once again. I can’t do it this season.. morale to continue is completely diminished. The game isn’t enjoyable in this state. In my 2+ years of PVP in this game, this is hands down the worst it’s ever been.

Bik has had enough, and teaches dragonhunter a lesson at same time. pure gold xD

No, the matches are bad. That’s the problem. I am one team member out of five, I can’t do all the lifting myself.

If you’re really losing nearly every match then you’re the only thing in common. Anything below 50% and you should start looking at yourself as the cause. 40% might be bad luck, 10% means you are the cause.

It’s at least 40%. And I’ve played enough PVP to know these are just bad. (almost 3500 matches)

Shouldn’t this skill have reduced recharge on rage skills? Seems like a rather weak trait in it’s current form and no real incentive to take it over Smash Brawler.

For easier organization and storage, could we have the ability to name our bank tabs? Thanks!

Same here in Australia. Used to average about 320 ping, now I’m lucky to get 400. And lately has been jumping up to 3000 or more.

In PVP so we can tell, say, a regular guardian from a dragonhunter. Or a druid from a ranger?

Before HoT my ping would get an average 290-320. After HoT hit, it went up to an average of 350. And with the most recent patches it’s 380-400. What’s going on?

I just wanted to thank the developers for the awesome new map (I just finished my first game on it). I think this was long overdue and conquest really needed a new map to freshen things up a bit. I’m crossing my fingers that this is a sign of things to come, and we’ll get even more variety

I played GW2 since release.. but after HoT left a really bad taste in my mouth I haven’t played for nearly a year.. and I really doubt I’d buy another expansion after regretting my previous purchase.

All things end. It’s inevitable.

While GW2 was in windowed mode i was browsing a website and didnt hear the drumroll. Now I got locked out for 2 hour dishonored true story.

rock paper scissors is more balanced than this. conditions flying everywhere, invisible damage flying around, broken targeting.. the list goes on. every fight is just a zerg of damage and effects and see whos comes out alive on the other side, usually whoever has the most aoe damage. don’t know why i log in anymore.

Despite my numerous complaints overall I feel satisfied with the expansion. The keyword I’d use to describe it would be “fun” overall. I’m enjoying the new Druid class, just wish there was some more content like new spvp maps to freshen up the game mode.

Wanted to just drop this here, because honestly im tired of bugging out/dropping out all the time on these new maps. they are an exercise in frustration in every way. all that guild wars 2 manages to do these days is kitten me off and remind me why i don’t log in anymore.

make better maps next time, tyvm.

I’m playing on plains of ashford and still have my amber rating hovering over my head, this hardly feels appropriate for this portion of the game.

farming game isn’t fun. guild wars 2 is not fun anymore its got even more stale with this especially the pvp. the new pve maps are just as grindy but at least the maps are NEW.

who wants to start at the bottom of this new ranking system, and have to play the SAME maps we’ve been playing for years. talk about recycling content.. -.-

doesnt change the fact it actively encourages you to play the same maps over again which i have zero interest or motivation to do. now, if they had released a dozen new conquest maps to freshen up the gameplay, i might have been on board. but this, just feels like a cheap way to avoid creating new content in this game.

does it need to be said that it divides players. im not competitive by nature and but this just makes me not want to log in anymore. I’ve played 2700 pvp matches total on my record, yet im down the bottom. and you expect me to want to play the same maps ive been playing over and over again for 3 years, to grind my way up the tiers? what a way to make all that time i played feel like a waste.

no thank you there are other games i can play with new content. bye..

like new maps or gamemodes, we get a new ranking system so we can grind the same maps we’ve been playing the last 3 years.

I also think its much better than much of the single player RPG’s. For instance, I was a big elder scrolls fan before skyrim came out.. then it did. after a few months i was done, but when gw2 came around i found my new favorite RPG for the next couple years and I’m glad it was able to fill the gaping hole skyrim left behind. GW2 is a great MMO as well as an RPG in my eyes.

I just wanted to say, upon reflecting on my gaming the past few years, that Guild Wars 2 sits above and beyond all else, and for the years to come.

because anet thought it would be too much for us to have more variety of maps. So they gave us a new gamemode stronghold and took out deathmatch, so we’re back to the small variety we had before. GW2 is play their way, not our way.

I got tired of the cheese builds that take advantage of the terribly broken targeting in this game.

Playing a warrior, im fighting a ranger 1vs1 on point. I have him targeted, no problems. My hits are hitting him, no problems. no complaints. Then a minion necro shows up. The rest of the fight, is a fight to keep the target on the ranger.

I’m hitting tab, or left clicking him to retarget him up to to 10 times before i finally go down because the game keeps auto targeting these minions that get in the way of my attacks. How is this allowed to be a viable strategy for victory in this game? This goes beyond meta, it’s a straight up exploit.

tl;dr; too much anti-targeting in this game

I’m sorry for complaining, I don’t like to. My feelings are mixed I guess. I think the story is fantastic, the exalted are really awesome. The new mob designs are spectacular and a big cut above the ones we have in the base game. The music – phenomenal. I find myself humming the themes from time to time. Something about HoT does keep drawing me back in, and I’m not going to give up so easily on this game that I’ve loved the past 3+ years.

In the end, I want to get through this challenging content and look back and feel that it was worth it. I respect Anet as a developer, they have so much talent and put out some of the best work in this genre. Again, I’m sorry for complaining, and venting like this in public. But I felt I needed to say something about my frustrations with the expansion so far..
