Like many ppl on reddit mentioned, I can confirm now myself:
If you unlock the autoloot mastery and activate it, the client constantly crashes.
I like how fast the game goes from one phase to another having the player constantly to adapt.
But at the same time i hate it, because most people don’t keep up with it and get stuck in some things throwing the game.
For me the problem of this gamemode is that random teams will never ever (at least without build templates) have the right setup for this or coordination.
The chance of them having the right amount of players for each objective (some need offensive stats, some defensive) is low and on top of that they can not communicate well and therefore not coordinate.
This gamemode will be mainly for premade teams and not for random partys without voicechat.

The amount of things to do simultaneously breaks the 5 man cap but I would say 6-8 people would be better than 10.
The Queue works now, it’s just very slow! (Like 30 min)
Over a hour by now, it even stopped showing the actual time…

That’s not true. People had issues since the beginning of the beta.
I don’t want to argue with you about when people started having queue problems.
Even without the problems it seems not enough players are there for good queue times (I thought maybe the beta changes that). This sucks, but I can’t help it, just wanted to mention this, because I think anet want’s to know why people are leaving. For me it’s the queue times.
I get that but if you know most people can’t queue, why complain about queue time? It’s irrelevant.
Because it was already that bad when people had no issues. Also it’s the reason I quit this game each time.

I noticed like you may could see in my original post on the top of this page. But back then there where still too long queue times …
I thought we was supposed to have a Stronghold open beta and not PvP Queue Stress Test today.

I agree with OP, I like it having some money out of my mind.
Also it’s just dumb i have to use my guild bank for this and in total right now 5 guild banks for items because my normal bank is full.
I use multiple money depositions because I keep track of my trading income in that way.
It’s way cheaper to use banks instead of (new accounts and) new characters that’s even more stupid.
300 Slot guild bank costs ~110g, if you buy characterslots with gems and so on, it costs way more for the same storage and accounts cost real money. The bad thing is now my main account has no space for guilds anymore and i have to start using a second account for more guild banks.
Also guild banks are bad to handle since you cant quickly move in and out items – you have to manually klick and draw each one out. I HATE THIS SYSTEM. It’s just bad design for people who are dealing with a huge amount of items.

Beta impression:
Glider:
- fun
- but lag or ping issues will make this unplayable, because of the delay that the glider already has default – people with bad connections won’t make some of the flights to hard to reach locations
Mushrooms:
- interesting
Masteries in general:
- UI is not good looking; needs implementation in Hero Panel. If you activate it it takes half of the screen away and is just bad to handle.
- The first two available ones only needed 1 level up to unlock after you spent your mastery points on them. Hopefully the later ones will take more
Revenant:
- Class seems very “slow”, but this may be only caused by the two tanky stances
- Hammer 3 feels not right, the animation sometimes fails. I would rather like it to be a port instead of a range dps . To keep distance to your enemys and make up for some interesting playstyles
- The available traitlines dont seem to have really good traits compared to other classes
Stability:
- No crashes, no frame issues
- some lag around the half time of the beta
General:
- Some of the new things seem not fully finished, like the flamethrower; the handling is sometimes wired and pulls you in one direction
- Found new mushrooms which drop new items

you may don’t show who wrote which one, but i think it would be nice if we could see what its all about.
My questions:
- do the 50% dmg reduction buff stack, so if you have 2 heroes you get 100%?
- can you stealth the lord when he is down, so he will stop attacking?
Not sure if this was was intended or not but:
- winning gives only after 10 times a reward (and with daily 1x each day after 5 wins)
- loosing does not give any rewards
- automatic swapping to the loosing team does not give you the win which it does in normal pvp
- 5v3 or 5v4 are too long without balancing, causing the game to be onesided for way too long
-> everything of the above causes ppl to ragequit and make the game even more one sided
All those points above make dragon bash unrewarding and not much fun, because every time you loose a game, you feel like you wasted your time (game is fun and stuff, but there are hundrets of other things that make as much fun and give better loot) and most times lost games are caused by one team having less people than the other one.
How I think it should work:
- every game/win a little reward like 1silver and 1little lucky envelope
- looses should give every second time track to the 10 wins achievement, so you don’t feel like wasting time
- automated teamswap should work the same as in pvp
- 4v5 and 3v5 should get fixed: game doesn’t start with one team having less people than the other team, teamswap should start way sooner and the counter should be shorter (5 sec or so), 20 – 30 sec 3/4v5 make the team with less ppl a guaranteed loose.
Any thoughts?
The things like bosses and lords and stuff are called “secondary mechanic”, it’s not the primary thing you should focus on. This is conquest after all.
That said, there are situations where it is a good idea going for them, securing wins and making clutch plays.
Chieftain and Svanir have low armor and health, they can killed very fast by raw dps. If your own teamcomp relies on 2 dps classes (say thief and mesmer) and has 3 bunkers (cele or whatever) and the enemy team has only bunkers, it can be a good idea to kill the own boss in a few secons at the start because your bunkers can outlast this time the dps guys are missing in the teamfight and the low stealability of the enemy team.
But when the enemy team has also dps classes it’s better to focus on the teamfights and try to get an early advantage through mapcontrol and capture points.
At this point bosses are only for comebacks and for your team after you wiped the enemy team and you are sure the bosses can be killed fast and not be stolen, also you must communicate with your team, there is no point in killing a boss but then loosing a point and 2 teammates and start snowballing. Plays like that can loose you the game.
In short: Watch the map, be aware of what the enemy team can do and what your team can do. It highly depends on team comps and situations and understanding of what everyone is able to do (how fast someone is, how much dps someone has and so on) when and if you go for these kinds of secondary objectives.
Again: this is conquest, so focus on the capture points and go for the other things if you have time and the pressure freedom.

Sometimes you need the first (team-)fight to develop a good strategy against the enemy team and by the point you have one, you easily can be behind 100 points or more, but then come back fast.
Not saying you don’t have a point, but I don’t think a comebackfeature is needed. Most times waiting for your teammates to spawn and regrouping is enough to get a next chance.
Situations where a comebackfeature would change the outcome of a game would be rare I think.
Since matchmaking gets better and better but just doesn’t come to the right spot, I wondered why.
Then I realized: It’s because of the low playerbase we currently have.
No matchmaking in this world can compensate a low playerbase where not enough players of each skillgroup queue at the same time to get even matches.
So you may wonder how to fix this:
Make PVP free to play and let the rest of the game buy to play
PvP Accounts would have only PvP Characters (for the people who didn’t play GW1: that are characters bound to PvP, so you can’t leave to pve or wvw) and can be upgraded to PvE Accounts at any later time.
This would bring a huge mass into PvP and help to fix the currently low playerbase.
Whats your thought on it, would it help or not?
Pro:
- higher playerbase
- faster queues
- more even matches
- competition
- ESPORTZ?
- people get interested in the game and buy it?
Cons:
- Missing some kind of money gain for ANet
- Probably a lot of trolls
- Developer resources to implement

Sry but I played too much GW1, all my chars are Human, I hate all other races.
If there would be the possibility, I would go to war with all other races.
I would like Gaily to ask the devs if there may will be the ability to change the race of your character.
If it will NOT come with this expansion please tell me, so I can already delete my character with the “wrong” race (it has 100% world completion that’s why I am waiting for this feature since a year now).
If it will well then I am happy ^^ (for ppl questioning why I have a 100% char with a race I don’t like: It was one of my first characters and now I hate it)

Also professions are less work for the guys designing the armor (this seems to be
a time consuming work since we don’t get new armor that often).
It requires 5 races * 2 genders = 10
A race would require: 8 professions * 2 genders = 16
And it would have a much larger impact on the way you play Pve, PvP, WvW than a race which would only add to the story and cosmetic.
I think a profession would add more to the game than a race.
Recently looked up old concept art for the canceled GW1 Utopia Campaign after playing the living story.

This idea should give both sides a better feeling.
Elitists would not be able to get trolled and non elitist people wouldn’t get kicked from this kind of groups anymore because of bad gear (you can SEE if someone doesn’t use zerker gear or stuff with a little of experience) because they can’t join (and see) them.
If you have bad gear and you join a group that wants only people with good gear, then you give them a worse experience on purpose – if you have bad gear the run will not be that fast as a matter of fact.
For me its a bit longer: You DC, you restart entire client (because it won’t you reconnect), you authorize login, you login, you start loading back, takes sometimes a bit more than just 30 seconds.
It’s certainly possible that some number of people wouldn’t be able to make some limit, but you also have to balance it against the impact it has on your team’s chances of succeeding.
The longer the grace period, the more potential damage to the teams odds of winning.
There is a specific kind of dc that only puts you back to loginscreen and you can instantly join in again, it happens a lot to me – could you somehow differ between this kind of dc and some other form of disconnecting and make the game instantly reconnect by itself and then give no penalty?
This would at least fix a lot of issues I and people I know have, maybe this one is easy to implement until you have a fix/idea/… for total dc’s which cause you to restart your client/pc/router/whatever…

The thing with assassin amulet is that you trade the health from berserker for the additional dmg. The meta that we currently have with the bunker, bruiser, cough* crapp cough* sustain over time hybrid dmg just is the total counter to this amulet.
Wait until we have a full zerker dps meta, maybe it will play out then.
But as we know the patch scedual you can wait half a year or longer for this to happen
When you push far:
- your team has enough sustain for the midfight (bunker guard, bunker ele, whatever)
- the guy at close has also enough survivability to last long enough for reinforcement
- you are capable of winning 1v1s, or not dying 1v1,2,3 → if you get low you disengage
When you don’t push far:
- your team is full glass, they will get destroyed in mid and on close, so it is useless to push or even win far, because you will get snowballed
- all other cases that aren’t included in the ones i mentioned so far

We are now targeting a 2 minute queue time average, with an 8 minute maximum. Queue times will vary around those numbers based on population, but please let me know if you are stuck in the queue for longer than 8 minutes.
Please let me know if you notice any changes in quality (good or bad).

But I don’t think the population is so low at this time, because I got fast matches before and after that queue.
at that time? I think there where a lot of ppl queueing, at least in EU, 3 pm shouldn’t be that bad time to queue xD. But maybe you are right, let’s see what justin thinks of it when he is back from free days
