I came here looking for a solution to mute that mini… I can understand players who like these sounds, I for one would be a sucker for a skritt mini saying “ooo shiny!” from time to time ^^ … but that toxic hybrid really kills all fun I have while playing.
When in Mistlock Sanctuary I can’t seem to be able to escape the sound once I’ve crossed path with a player using that mini. I’ve often changed instances, or just left the MS to avoid that sound. It’s a pity, I love the Mistlock Sanctuary…
Now that we have an option to mute items like music instruments and noisy weapons we can maybe hope for a fix of this problem. I mean, many players have been asking for a mute option since noisy minis and backpacks appeared…

Hi everybody,
I’m aware of what happened yesterday, I was playing in WvW when I got kicked out of the game. I hoped to start playing early today, but I can’t start with any character…
The game launches without any apparent problem, I can select a character, but then I have a long loading screen and bam!, error message…
Everything else works fine so… It this a consequence of yesterday’s complete shutdown?

I’m experiencing a slightly annoying problem with the Mistlock Sanctuary… The place is beautiful and I could see myself gliding around in circles just for the sheer pleasure of the view…
Unfortunately I find that way too many people are piled up in the same map… The result is, as you can guess, a heavy drop in FPS… I’m experiencing a 9 FPS map right now
I have a very good PC, and fiber with my IP so I don’t think the problem comes from me.

Wouldn’t be possible to have less people on the same instance of that map? The point of buying that kind of access is for the place to be useful and enjoyable…

Apparently Anet does not want people to say they want a working game since they’ve paid for it.
Saying how much the game have been buggy since HoT release must be taboo…
Saying I can’t play WvW, PVE or PvP is forbidden.
Saying I miss the nights I spent on the game without having to search for an “anti-dc” party, without having to worry about being able to come back to the same map and avoid missing the end of the big meta event I’ve been playing for 30mn is useless feedback.
Saying I miss a game that simply works is answered by a warning.
Anet say they accept negative feedback… But removing a post stating the obvious fact that they sold us a product that is not working shows how much the situation is embarrassing.
Like it or not, Anet, you are not delivering the product you advertised, despite the fact you had many months and beta feedback to avoid the disaster we’ve been experiencing these past few days.
I mean, I’ve been trying for 5 hours to do my daily in WvW… I have a 15 to 30 sec delay whenever I try to use a skill, and that is with the single character I’ve been able to bring in WvW… I have 13 others, unplayable since yesterday evening…
You may not like what I have to say Anet, but I trusted you and preordered the expansion.
I would have preferred to wait for a few more weeks, and have a working game.

- failing to log in with most characters
- being able to log in with 1 character, brought back at the map entry despite previous location
- failing immediately when trying to go in WvW
- being able to log again, but failing again as soon as trying to change WvW map
- having the omniscient “router or firewall problem” error screen

Yes… Not being able to play AT ALL is quite minor…

What about the Proofs of Heroics that were spent above the 250 marker? Is there a refund to use them on another character?

I BOUGHT the expansion to play the elite builds in WVW… not in PVE.
I want what I PAID for: the possibility to play what was advertised.
So enough of the silent treatment. Anet is just not delivering what we bought.

Yes, I was so eager to discover the new maps with a new way of playing… Now I just feel like leaving GW2… So many months of anticipation, and so little consideration for WvW players

I won’t linger any more on the fact that having to play an incredible number of hours in WvW to unlock the Elite is by far the most frustrating thing I’ve ever done in GW2…
But now, finding that the Heroics Notary has been disabled, what the hell is going on?

It’s already really frustrating to see players running as Druids, Dragon Hunters, Daredevils in WvW… I don’t have 12 hours a day to play GW2 like these must have, to open the Elite that quickly… But now that I wish to use the few Proofs of Heroics I’ve been able to gather, playing after work, the merchant doesn’t even work?

What are you trying to do Anet? Break a new world record for players disappointment?
6300 hours of game… I was really expecting to explore new areas like a Druid, not a regular ranger… But now the taste of that expansion is bitter…

Still, a better GPU shouldn’t hurt… The same i5 did a fine job until now…

I’ve just bought a new geForce 960 because my geForce 560Ti was becoming a bit light for recent games…
My CPU is a Core i5 2500K overclocked at 4GHz, my PC runs Windows 7 with 8gb rams…

I have much better results than before with ALL games except GW2… in which performances dropped… I have lower FPS than before… I just don’t understand. Even turning down settings to the same level I had with my previous GPU, I have lower FPS… I’m now around 15/25 fps… I’d been playing the past 3 years between 40 and 60fps with my previous GPU… Having drops only in really crowded situations (like big zergs fights in WvW)…
I updated my GPU driver… Should I rollback to the previous one? How is it possible that a better GPU gives inferior results?

I’ve been unable to finish a match since my game restarted for the update… I tried to reconnect more than a dozen times, with a lot of this “connection problem” crap… Each and every match I begun ended with a crash…
Could you seriously learn to run updates that actually work? This is getting old… 3 years, each and every update brings more problems than solutions…

I’ve been having the same problem since this afternoon… I can’t finish a pvp game. I play 5 to 10mn and my PC freezes/crashes… I’ve played PVE et WvW without such problems…

Yes, the "play as you like " argument Anet was using at the beginning of GW2 has suffered a lot. Now you can’t shake the feeling that some activities are made mandatory to build the character you want… More diversity, more options for every kind of players would be nice.

considering how easy and common they are compared to other ascended pieces, i think it’s perfectly reasonable.

I don’t agree. I have a good number of rings stashed in my bank, but I have played more than 5800 hours, and mostly in WvW (where I got most of them via WvW ranks). Also I had almost the same number of ascended armor pieces in my bank (10) when the update came. I looted a little more rings, not a big difference. But again, I played a lot. Changing attributes should be accessible for casual players as well, like it is for weapons and armors. If you have few hours to play, it’s all the nicer to be able to adjust your stuff when you loot something big.

You’re probably right, but I can’t shake the feeling that ascended salvaging will be another way to crank up the craft process… Another step after the multiple account bound components used for ascended craft. This may be welcome by players who spend a lot of time on the game, but it shouldn’t be the only option. I don’t think every player will embark on the “legendary journey”. It would be nice to have a choice: modify or salvage. As long as we don’t loot ascended trinkets more often, the two options could coexist without any problem.

I know, I’m not the first to bring the subject up, but the more I think about it, the more I’m convinced it would be a good option.
I spend a fair amount of time on GW2. Probably more than the average, and definitely less than some überplayers ^^… I crafted ascended weapons, ascended armors… And we all know it’s quite time/gold consuming.
Being able to change the attributes of ascended weapons & pieces of armor I obtained via loot, WvW or PvP level ups was a very, very, VERY welcome improvement.
Now I don’t understand why the same possibility for jewelry was not implemented.
OK, Jewelry craft doesn’t go up to ascended, but the current system to change attributes on a weapon/piece of armor only requires the exo inscription/insignia.

I see many reasons why it would be a nice improvement:
- I have about a dozen ascended rings obtained via WvW level ups in my bank, rings I’m reluctant to use because they don’t match the attributes I’d like for my chars. It would be great to be able to change them like I did for all the pieces of armor I obtained the same way.
- Laurels have become a little harder to come by if you don’t play on a daily basis. Being able to change attributes would be great for players who can’t spend a lot of time on GW2; if you can’t afford buying trinkets, at least you can modify the ones you might loot.
- It wouldn’t hurt the game economy. You’d still need to be able to obtain ascended trinkets to modify them.
- The Jeweler craft would feel a bit more useful…

I’m stuck in the personal story, vigil, the “Evacuation” episode…
I’ve read people have been stuck the same way: you defend the quaggan village, but for some reason enemies stop coming and you remain stuck.
I couldn’t find any solution… I’ve tried 3 times, each time stuck at the same point… I’ve searched for hidden mobs, but found nothing.
I’ve done this episode before, with another character, and I can’t remember any problem at all.
Am I supposed to give up on this character?

Here’s a screenshot I took this afternoon while playing in EOTM…
We were trying to defend our keep (blue) and we had the “pleasure” to see the green zerg use a zoom unlocker…
They built ACs outside the keep, and shoot inside. On the screen you can see the entire AC target circle is inside the walls.
They used these ACs to clean every defense weapon, targeting precisely even those one couldn’t see from outside. And no, they didn’t just shoot where you can see by looking above the door.

I thought we were rid of these kinds of cheats… I’ve been away for a few months, and while anticipating the next WvW season, I see big servers use these cheap tricks…
Why do we still have to deal with cheaters like this?

Since the last update I’ve been unable to play more than 45mn straight without losing connection to server.
This has been really spectacular last night, while trying to play WvW: I lost connection 7 times in an hour.
I just stopped playing… it’s getting ridiculous.
I have a very good internet connection, fiber, and GW2 is the ONE and ONLY game I have connection problems with…
I’m closing to 4200 hours playing GW2, I have 14 level 80 char, all fully stuffed… I’m Silver Colonel in WvW, which is getting quite correct…
I LOVE this game, but I’m getting fed up by all this “connection lost” problems.
Each new update brings its package of “new” problems (most of the time “old” problems just coming back).

Guys, it’s been 2 years… Don’t you think we should be able to expect a steady game by now?

Is it normal, or due to the last update, to see mesmers’ phantasms that were first targeted at the door of a keep (in WvW) passing through the door to attack players trying to defend inside?
You can now see several clones or phantasms rush toward you when you try to defend a door with an arrow cart or a treb, instead of attacking the door they were cast on.
Don’t you think this gives an unfair edge? I tried to defend a door and found myself buried in half a dozen phantasmal berzerkers. I was inside the keep, nowhere where the mesmers could have targeted me. They targeted the door, and the phantasms came at me.

I’ve been having similar problems with scepter and conjured weapons. I don’t recall being down though, just that, for an unknown reason, my attacks stops doing damage. To resume doing damage I have to switch from the conjured weapon to my regular weapon, or attune to another element when I’m already attacking with my scepter.

So… I guess I won’t have any answer to this…

I upgraded my GW2 edition last week and received the personal golem banker. I first used it during last week end (Saturday or Sunday, I’m not sure).
When I logged in just after the update, I had the surprise to see that my golem had already expired.
It’s only been 3 or 4 days at most. Could the reset of the monthly achievements have messed with the time count within the game?
Could you please fix this so that I can use this service for the intended duration?

I keep receiving ingame whispers that are spam for a website (I don’t know if I can post the name here) selling gold and GW2 items. I receive these about 4 or 5 times a week.
You can see the message in the screenshot below… if this screenshot is a problem, please moderate it. I’m not trying to advertize this site, on the contrary.
Each time I block the username, and send a report for spamming and selling gold.
It’s been going on for months, and I keep receiving these…
I never bought anything outside the game, and only used Gem cards bought from official retailers.
Is there a way to be more efficient against this constant spamming?
Does Arena have a real policy against this?

I’ve had the same problem several times now, so I decided to post here.
First, I’m familiar with the use of Mist Form, its duration, etc, etc… So I tested several times to make sure.
I found that when I use Mist Form in Southsun Cove, crazed karkas are still able to knock me down on the floor while the skill is active.
Granted, English is not my mother tongue, but “invulnerable vaporous mist” leaves few risks of translation errors
So, are these karkas so angry they can kick a cloud’s butt? Or is there a slight problem with the skill?

This is really a nasty joke… You can buy the ascended recipes, just to realize you have to drop the exotic recipe to be able able to craft the ascended? How many exos shall I have to recycle to have the chance to find the recipe I need?
Not all players are fond of lotteries, you know…

Just opened one, found an XP booster, 3 mystery tonics and a Box o’fun… Really? Is that it? Chest keys are an increasingly rare drop, and if I buy keys at the gem store I expect more than this!
Each chest I opened for the past 6 weeks contained a Box o’fun… Am I the only one to find this item totally useless?
Just think back 8 or 10 months ago… when you opened a BL chest you always found several useful boosters… so what happened?

Soft wood is not easy to farm… and with the ascended recipes it’s become plain ridiculous: it’s just easier to gather lots of hard or elder wood logs than soft wood… Most of the time you gather 3 logs from a sapling, so you can’t even make a single plank out of it -_-
More than 25 trees to craft 20 planks? Come on, you have to change this…
Just have a look at the prices in the BL Market and all is said, only ori and ancient wood are more expensive.
While you’re at it… since we now have to stack hundreds and hundreds of craft materials, can we FINALLY see any possibility to extend the collections capacity?

A little question for Abaddon players: what kind of sore losers build 6 siege engines in front of the opponent’s spawn at 6.30 AM on Sunday, just to do some cheap spawn kill?
Are you that afraid to fight us? I had much more positive memories of your fighting skills from previous matchups!

With the recent updates we have more and more crafting recipes that use a lot of materials. Just thinking about piles of Bloodstone Dust, and the fact that you need a hundred of these to craft a brick, makes me wonder why the collections are still limited to a 250 holding capacity.

Could Anet consider updating collections capacity? 250 is really, really too small. I found it was OK when I was leveling my first character… now that I have to pile up ectos, ore, ingots, logs, etc… it seems 250 is a bit of a joke.

My character suddenly turned green!
You can see on the screen I took, I use Wine Breeze and Midnight Violet dye. I never changed anything, and suddenly my cute little Necro is all dressed in green… I tried applying the dyes again, and the preview is OK… but as soon as I hit the button to validate the changes, it’s back to green.
Does anyone has the same problem?

Same here… I was about to buy several axes, sickles and mining picks from the Gem store (since the sale is ending soon) and I can’t do that either -_-
What the heck is going on Anet? This has been a real pain for the past 3 weeks now: getting errors, getting disconnected from server in WvW, in PVE, right in the middle of events…
GW2 has been a great game to play, but I’m starting to think about other games… I’m tired of these problems that seem to pile up update after update. Adding content is great, but not if you have to sacrifice to game stability for it….

Being able to sell the support reminders from the previous episode of the Living Story, after the end of the elections, was a good surprise… but many players missed that opportunity because they had destroyed the items (thinking they would become useless).

It would be great have a use for the Gauntlet entrance tickets we have left after the Jubilee. Sell them for cash? Use them to buy items? I looted LOTS of these, as most of us must have looted.

Does anybody know if we can expect something like this?

I get disconnected from server at least 4/5 times each day now… It’s really great when you’re right in the middle of the living story event, defending a map against Scarlet minions… You get disconnected, and come back on an overflow where the event doesn’t take place -_- …

I think making this account based would be the most logical solution. This way you could keep your WvW rank with each character…

Could Anet consider making WvW skills account based and not character based? The more I play WvW, the less I understand why these have to be tied to each character …
I have a WvW level 193 mesmer (with 3 maxed up WvW skills), but I also have 4 others full exo/asc characters I like to play… Whenever I use one of these I feel I’m less efficient, since my commander or my team expect me to have the same WvW skills…
If I add the levels of all my characters, I’m around 260 WvW levels… Since Anet keeps on adding new WvW skills, I really don’t understand the need to force us to stick to one character only…
People who like to play only one character wouldn’t be bothered by any change, but people who like occasional changes in gameplay could try other classes without feeling they “miss” WvW XP for their main character…

I’ve been pondering my word since the beginning of this matchup, but after another bow before a DL player… after seeing him fllee then come back with 5 of his friends… I have to say none of the DL players I challenged for a fair fight fought alone… each time you see at least 4 or 5 allies coming to crush you. Why accept to duel if you don’t intend to fight honorably? Is that what “coward” or “sore loser” means?

Now that we’re getting passed the weekend should be much more even points-wise as well.

Don’t feel sorry for us, Arbor brought this on itself with 2 or 3 guilds who think they are the best and keep on pushing other active WvW guilds to leave…
I still wish I could find DL players for a more even fight, or some duel, but you can’t always get what you want, right?

OK, I know, I’ll be able to redeem another one… but I was waiting for this skin and I made the mistake to open the chest with an alt I’m currently leveling.
Now the skin is soulbound to a character who cannot even use this type of weapon.
There isn’t any message warning you that the skin is going to be soulbound, and it’s curious because achievements are account linked, not character linked.

Even if I decide to go pvp, these will remain useless: soulbound to a character who can’t use any of them. All the pvp items I got are soulbound to my guardian, absolutely none of them can be used by this class… Not very clever by Anet

First, don’t get me wrong, I Find the idea of achievements rewards really nice.
But today I opened my chest and got 4 pvp exos: 2 longbows, a gun and a speargun.
All of these are soulbound to the character I used to open the chest: a gardian I’m leveling right now…
None of these can be used by a gardian
What am I supposed to do with these?
