please make it so we can change the colors!!! I know, I know, you are thinking “it will never be perfect enough for you guys isn’t it!?!?” well… no, but being able to change color of weapons , at least the skins sets, would make it well worth the buy.
I think the artist really outdid him/herself with Dwayna’s Set, it is the first weapon set that I like after several batches of disappointments (do not get me started with Balth’s set) but not being able to color weapons is already a punch in the kidneys, it is one of the few features I miss from the original GW1, I mean, I love that we can color every part of an armor in GW2, but it is a shame that coloring weapons was a feature left out of the deal, and I think developers should really think about this.
in case there has already been posted a good explanation as of why it was decided to add a feature to fully color armor, but not the weapons, I apologize, would love a link to such explanation though.
PS
how come there is not a Harpoon nor Spear in the Dwayna’s Set?

darn it! … ok those are reasonable points in favor of the outfit system, but still!!! can anet just break down the outfit into 6 pieces? (helmet, gauntlets, pants, boots, coat, shoulders) and still preserve the qualities that make outfit an advantage?
so, u guys advocating for outfits , what would you say are the benefits of “outfit” as oppose to “skins”?.
[&DBQAAAA=] yes that balthazar’s regalia
First: THX you so much!!!! I knew you would do it eventually, love you all!!!.
Second: WTH!!?? an outfit!?? really Anet? really??? cmon you know nobody would hesitate to buy it if you make it a skin >:( but nooooo.
http://dulfy.net/2015/03/31/gw2-upcoming-items-from-march-31-patch/
Well it’s always nice to have a quick laughter ones a while thank you for that <3
First of all the war 3rd weapon set would provide ALOT of extra utilities nukes and sustain totally unbalancing the warrior making him an indistructable war god.
For the rest of the post, party support needs to have very delicate amount of party support. for example call to the arms, 16 sec cd 13 sec vigor+6 sec weakness and a blast finisher is already pretty OP considering the fact that you’re giving this buff to 4 more allies. I agree to the fact that increasing team support can enlighten the game, however Anet clearly desires not to do so, since the release their main goal was to let 5year olds being able to play the game (lvling system etc) also they’re reducing the impact of might further decreasing the amount of teamwork in this game. don’t get your high hopes up m8, because this is not gonna happen XD
-yeah have to agree with your post, some good points, but is ok, I just felt this needed to be out there. but still, its a shame though, why would one dumb down an mmorpg for a young audience that might be more comfortable playing marvel vs capcon or Mortal Kombat? but is all good Im still addicted to GW2, so Im gonna be playing this game for a while, probably will take regular rest from it by switching to DA:inquisition.
Neat idea, but sounds like a balancing nightmare.
Pretty much the first thought I had. Followed by how annoying it would be to have my skills keep changing on me during combat. Imagine in large scale fights how this mechanic would create chaos? Then where’s the priority coming from?
-yes it would be a nightmare to balance, and yes it would be chaotic, at first, eventually ppl get the hang of it just like with exploration dungeons and fractals.

ok try to have some patience here with me for i dont play much as thief , but need him as an example, u guys know the thief can go stealth right? when he does that his primary weapon skills change to “stealth version” right? what if every other class in the game could do that? their primary skills change to an stealth version when going stealth?
now, no, im not saying every other class should be added their own stealth skill , im saying , that a thief could actually improve or enhance the functionality of other classes in their own unique way if the other class had stealth version of their primary (and secondary! why not?), and actually make fights more interesting and even encourage players to coordinate moves and make some actual planning beyond just “hey let stack here!!!” or “hey use shadow refuge so we can run all the way to Vallog!!!”
I opened this propossal using the thief stealth skills as an example, but it doesn have to end there, I play a war as my main, and I think it could be interesting if I could use the warhorn’s skills to actually improve allies contribution to a fight, right now the only reason to use warhorn is for the quick breathing trait and thats it, what if call to arms instead of granting vigor to allies and weakening to enemies (woohooo… >~>), granted instead quickness to my allies? what if charge mad eit so that my allies can perform a knockdown move on a enemy with their next attack?
and the elementalist, what if his conjure magic actually made it so targeted allies can inflict a condition with their attacks like "for 10 sec all your attacks deal burn, or freeze, or electricity and earth dmg or whatever? hhmm? it would actually make team work more meaningful over your classic “stack here!!” move just saying.
again I do not want the gameplay to devolve into what GW1 was, going solo was pretty much unthinkable unless you were a monk If I remember correctly, but I want team work to have a science to it, I hate it when a guardians shows up and just overdoses everyone with might, I hate it when im at a critical point in a jumping puzzle and somebody nearby just gives me swiftness.
I simply wish having a member of any class in a team brought something to the table no other class could match, other than boon’s overdose, just imagine having those weapons u never use in your inventory could actually have a purpose when combined with the skills of other classes, just saying.
PS
a little off topic but I also think it needs to be out there, the war should have a third weapons set, why? because he is a warrior kitten it!! a master of arms!!
PPS
sry about the textwall, it looked like three paragraph when I imagined it in my head.
PPPS
I didnt type “kitten” …!?
(edited by Gaag.6538)
personally I would love to see the tengu as a playable race, vulture looking toon FTW!!! and also asian inspired armor and weapons. for the purpose of actually adding to the gameplay I would prefer new skills for existing weapons or adding more functionality to existing skills.
unobtainable!? aaauugh…ok at least we know, thxs u all for your help though
I wonder if there were any complaints about gw1.
If only there were fan sites we could go to to see threads starting from the beginning of players complaints and concerns of changes to the game, or grind, or balance, or solo play….
there were numerous. but they were mostly regarding skill balance.
I wouldn’t say mostly. There are those complaining about the grind, about the lore, about expansions, about anet breaking promises.
Maybe it didn’t seem as apparent because gw1 itself didn’t have a centralized forum, as gw2 does. So for gw1, complaints probably seemed lessened because they were all spread out. Now, they have a central area.
-ppl in GW1 B@tch&d just as much as in the GW2 forums, though it mostly happened on mapchat to my recollection.
To be honest with the announcement of GW2 I was excited to see a sequel of the original.
I thought they would improve a lot on what GW1 didn’t do very well, as well as adding some new interesting mechanics into the game.Sadly, I can’t call this game a ‘’Guild Wars 2’‘.
I don’t feel like I am playing in the same universe.
I don’t feel like I am on adventuring through a world full of legends and prophecies.
What the kitten happened to the PvP?
It’s a game full of techs and mechs, zergfests and players can just teleport/shadowstep/leap all over the place…Since release I have been ’’waiting’’ for things to be added and I just feel like it’s not going to happen. Ever.
Been really craving for a sequel, I have been playing GW1 still for a while now but with the lack of support from Arenanet and the low population it’s just not the same as it used to be.
I hope one day we’ll get a proper sequel but I should just stop fooling myself I guess.
For those who keep saying ‘’but in the lore Guild Wars is…’‘, for real?
The name should also bring it’s game. Was GW1 that bad to drastically change everything?
Hell no, it was something incredibly unique.
If I really wanted to play a different type of game than GW1 I would have been playing something else already.I want to play a sequel of the original, not something completely different.
-what exactly r u waiting for after a year? at this point you should know whether you like the game or not , clinging to nostalgia doesnt go anywhere, never mind that everything u said here just doesnt match the reality.
GW1 is outdated and GW2 risked doing the same thing right at the start by trying to stay close to the original by trying to use the outdated gameplay mechanics to “keep the feeling” of GW1 .
yes thats part of the problem not the whole " eh cond dmg is f@#$%up" the problem is anet tried to keep the old ideas from GW1 and exported them to GW2 for fear that GW2 would be way too unrecognizable to the fans (thats my crazy theory though :P or I might have read somewhere else and dont remember :C) the original plan was to keep GW1 growing and evolving, but the engine got old and couldnt keep up with the new ideas, GW2 did that and went beyond, anet still exploring the possibilities that Im sure.
GW2 is what it is, love it or hate it, but make a choice and live with it.
(edited by Gaag.6538)
such feature would encourage players to be at their worst.
it wouldn’t be long before a group of clowns decided to challenge each other to see who can get the more “blocks” from others. something similar to that used to happen at gamespot and youtube and gametrailers (before they made some adjustment) there where some users who tried to see how many “down votes” they could get by making very mean, offensive, thoughtless comments.
so no, you woundt get my vote for such feature.
indeed they should, over-designed skins no longer cut it, but “what kind of weapons?” you would ask, well indeed I think this game need new weapons, and I just stumble upon this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistol_sword
PISTOL SWORDS!!!! bad@sses used to built them in 16th C. to cut opponents and shoot them, shoot opponents and then cut them, or both at the same time!!!! , GW2 tech is more advance than ours was at that time, how come we dont see stuff like that? in GW2 we have tech and magic, thats like the best of both worlds and yet we have like regular rifles and regular swords that only “look magic”? just think about it.
it doesnt have to be just pistol sword, let your imagination fly, like spear-rifle hybrids, hammer-rocket launchers…something (just brainstorming here) Im just thinking something like that I would actually call an “ascended weapon” not just the regular weapons with what? like? 5% stat improvement or something? thats what ascended weapons are as of now right? whatever!!!
just think about
most definitely not a any of the charr cultural weapon
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/e/ef/Adamant_Guard_Spear.jpg
nope

nope
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/d/d9/Steam_Spear.jpg
and nope
I thought it could be a legionnaire which is a very charr looking set
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/d/da/Legionnaire_Spear.jpg
but no…
Im inclined to believe that Forgal’s spear is an example of a unique design, although it does look charr inspired.
pay attention at Forgal at min 8:45 , the spear’s head can be seen clearly enough as he stand still for a couple of seconds.
I just noticed his spear as a cool skin, the tip is like a blowtorch , whats the name? can I buy it? craft it? can some here tell?
ok the only achievement left for me to beat are “dodgy crowd” and “dont tread on me” , my question is: is it possible to enable the challenge mote to reset the event once I have lost my qualification for those challenges? it is just too annoying having to wait till getting killed to leave the instance and come back and endure again all the dialog and cutscenes, it is a rather challenging pair of achiv.
this was not a problem at Glint’s lair in the previous chapter of the living story, what happened?
I would love to sheat and unsheat weapons… if weapons had actual sheats…
Most events scale for up to 10 players.Group events and large scale events such as the finale for meta events will scale much higher. For example, The Shatterer scales up to 100 players. Events can detect that players have not performed any actions relating to the event within a period of time and will scale down the event accordingly.
- so in other words, all those dead players lying there are not scaling up the event? (after what? 45 sec? 15? since they went from downed to dead?) but in fact they would be scaling down the event instead? cool, we have to tell everybody cause im tired of typing:
“If dead pls WP you pieces of (followed by an unsavory choice of words) you r making the fight harder for the rest of us!!!”
well at least we know now. thxs Infernia
is there a way to buy or craft these helmets belonging to the Champ keep Lord and the Siegemaster from WvW? if not… why? T~T
Sir Chan de Stroy, my attempt at a (circa 3rd crusade) Knight Hospitaller…he got lost on the way to Jerusalem, and ended up in the wrong Ascalon…
I just wish we had a decent bucket helm to play with…ascended was the best of a bad bunch.
- still, a very impressive looking knight sir.
when will the juvenile marsh drake model match his pic? or when will the pic match the model? hmm? which one is actually the right one? are the developers aware of this discrepancy? will it ever be addressed?.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Juvenile_Marsh_Drake
I dont know how often this has been discussed but …. how about back pieces that are capes!? different styles? and colors? I just think my phalanx armor would look bad@ss with a cape rather than a book or a quiver , the banners are an step in the right direction but still dont hit the mark.
so yeah, back pieces in the form of cape would be neat, also some version with the option to add our guild’s emblem to it.
- Warriors main focus was their adrenaline and Anet nerfed it.
- meh its fine, take some time to get used to it but nothing class-breaking.
- It took 2 years for Anet to bring out perminate content for gw2.
- yes, its isnt about the size of the content , it is about the size of the game as a whole, so yes it will take time before we see any new content.
- They do not focus on what the community says 1/2 of the time.
- 1/2? thats too much, what does the “community” knows about developing and maintaining mmorpg of the scope of GW2?
- Yes Anet nerfed zerker gear a while ago, but was that realy needed?
- only time will tell, it is a process, maybe their next change will work better the important thing is that they learn something from the process has they go, I do have to agree the zerker gear did need a desperate change.
- Anet continues to Impliment things like the NPE that don’t improve the game, they make it worse!
- dont know what NPE is.
- Look at what they did to the gem exchange, does it seem like they are fixing it? no.
- ok that one does genuinely bothers me, the new TP isnt bad but some things make me miss the old one, the old TP just needed some tweaks like if I just wanted to see specific item’s cathegory, like “only warrior gear” instead of everybody’s gear.
- They never listened to the community about a expansion pack that would probably bring people back to the game and get them hooked.
- “expansion pack”? the old team behind GW1 released entire campaigns (3 of them) massive new continents with new areas to explore new enemies and story line, there was actually one expansion which was some sort tie-in for the GW2, it was alright but not great. personally I would easily dish 60 bucks for a new campaign rather than 35-45 for a lousy expansion
- The mega servers actually decreased the games population, doing so drove alot of people out.
- thats not what I ve seen, I dont think you understand how the megaserver deal works. the only instance in which traditional servers are practical is for PVP and WVW, not for PVE, like why? so PVE players get megaserver , think about it. well thats how I see it after it was explained to me hope Im getting it right..
(edited by Gaag.6538)
what if anet decided to get rid of that annoying cooldown? how bad would that be? would it make bleeding viable? would it make things worst? have anet tried that already?
60% Chance on Critical: Inflict Bleeding (5 Seconds)
(Cooldown: 2 Seconds)
— In-game description
armor sets skins (not outfit!!!) themed after the six god of tyria, not unlike the avatars from GW1, also classic GW1 golems

The chaos axe was the only chaos weapon in the first game, literally it was a glowing blob in the shape of an axe that you could dye,
-yeah it was awesome
I would say yes, eventually, save your gems in the mean while
it is a matter of taste , but I kinda agree with Sabatine, most weapon sets already look scandalous (like really scandalous) as they are, anet might as well go all the way with them, different visual and sound effects when the weapons are being used, or idle, and what not.
it is actually a very viable idea if u think about it…as long as anet doesnt go overboard…again…
[quote=4298271;Guhracie.3419:]
if they really want more money, they should make the gem->gold exchange higher so ppl can buy gems with real money and get a real profit.
and if the really want to cash in, make a different kind of gems that you buy with real money so the gold->gem exchange can’t be exploited that way.i will never ever exchange my gems, gems i bought with hard earned money, for a lousy amount of gold.
if it’s 100 gems for 100 gold then i see something good in it (still not much but better), for now 100 gems gives me a pathetic 9-ish gold.
-first, every new feature added to the store is for the most part an answer to somebody out there who found a way to exploit the system. Im sure we wont see another change to the gemstore till that happens again.
-second, I dont think it is logic to buy gems to exchange them for gold, if u want gold play the game to earn it, if u want something from the gem store, buy gems, either with gold earned in-game or real money earned …in-life.
so nobody things the original idea from GW1 was fine the way it was?
there is like , no detail, u can tell its an axe for the shape (duh) and thats it, nothing else needed, the GW2 chaos weapons set is overdoing it imo, and dont get me started with the glowing animation.
(edited by Gaag.6538)
all I want to point out is that , chaos weapons are an step in the right direction, personally I want to see more stuff from GW1 brought into GW2, and the chaos weapons set make me feel hopeful.
that being said, I think this is one of those rare occasions where “less” is “more”. most of the chaos weapons look like a bottle of cold water reflecting light, and that effect seems rather out of place. the original chaos weapon (it was just the axe) literally looked like a freaking lightsaber…but axe version…lightaxe …lighthatchet.
anywho , the GW1’s version looked rather slick yet subtle , but it looked great when in action, like no other weapon in the game, that was part of it appeal. the GW2’s iteration just looks like yet another very overdone shinny thing.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Chaos_Axe
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chaos_Axe_Skin
I have to admit it is a worrisome trend, that some weapons are not translating quite well when being ported from GW1, like the mammoth axe doesnt look as cool as it used to for some reason.
I just hope dev can use this information when bringing back more stuff from GW1 into GW2, and Im pretty sure Im not the only who would like to see more items making a come back.
(edited by Gaag.6538)
only if it come with the flames
offer and demand, its worth what ppl are willing to pay.
just want to point out that the Shadow Assassin outfit is absolutely awesome looking and… its a total shame that it isnt a set of skins like the primeval armor skin or the phalanx skin, otherwise I would’ve bought it.
am I the only one here who is more inclined to buy a set of armor skins rather than an outfit?
PS
you guys at anet should totally make armor sets (skins not outfits) themed after each of the six, or seven? u know the idea alone sounds cool enough and profitable enough to dedicate the time and the effort , I most certainly would buy if I were to find one of those sets at the gem store.
it isnt a bug, thats how it works, yup , made the same mistake myself, all there is left to do is learn from it, or save it for another character in the future, if u do that u will be glad u did it and wont be a waste.
on a side note, after while my storage was full of ascended rings I had to create characters just so not to wasted them and still I had to merch a bunch of them.
I would love to see more backpieces, personally I wanted the elegant guild back banner , so I can properly rep my guild
, but that piece (and savage version) is rather shy, nobody will see it unless they are positioned at my 4’ or 8’ o’clock.
I wish those guildback banners were more like the one carried by medieval japanese soldiers, like in their backs
(edited by Gaag.6538)
I agree with this thread, and it has to be karma, if they make ingredients attainable by dishing copper/silver/gold (which one can buy with real money) it would be just another form of P2W that will allow players to just buy their way to 500 cooking mastery.
maybe, gonna tel u something, I just made a necro about 2 weeks ago, am lvl 59 so far and Im loving it, I wish I had try necro class after my war, and before my thief and my engie, and my ranger, and my ele specially my ele ,hated ele class not my style at all.
I do recommend to watch youtube video about necro builds, necros can be challenging to play since they work very different than other classes, and it is easy not to take chance of their inherited advantages.
look for videos from a guy named “I am one and I am legion” he seems to have put some real work on that class, its worth a look.
im building my necro around this, in spite of the date the build appears to be solid still, according to comments.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG5fqtiP2x0
there are more videos with interesting results.
yeah can somebody confirm if it has been fixed? didnt see anything in the December’s update’s notes, or maybe Im not that good at finding stuff.
I was going to post this over on Guru but I figured I might as well address a larger audience even though I know most of the responses are probably going to be stupid as result. Nonetheless, here’s the issue:
Necros are crap in PvE.
There is an effective role for every other class in this game except for the necro. That doesn’t really help the necro’s desirability since there is basically nothing they can do any other class can’t do better:
1) Bad DPS. That’s both burst and sustained. Daggers + minions output okay DPS (slightly higher than warriors) on a single target but the conditions for reaching that damage are much more difficult to meet and due to minion AI and unsustainable cooldowns on summons (as opposed to mesmers who can just resummon phantasms quickly) there’s no way to necros to operate as an effective minion AI class. Well burst DPS is average at best and compared to other classes with much higher burst potential (thieves, guardians, warriors, eles) wells are nothing special especially given the severe sustained DPS loss after the initial burst.
2) Bad survivability. Despite having high health and the extra Death Shroud life pool, necros get screwed in a lot of “one shot kill” fights because they lack vigor or other defensive cooldowns. Necros are pretty much always the first down on a slow Alpha kill because they’re the only class that can’t avoid the spike burst more than three times in a row and Death Shroud isn’t enough to absorb all that damage. On top of that, being tanky doesn’t even help the group because you can’t hold aggro in this game.
3) Poor offensive support. Despite having a bunch of skills that allow the necro to buff itself (i.e. Blood is Power) the necro lacks ways to buff up other players. That means that all you’re doing is mitigating your own bad DPS at best, compared to the ranger and warrior. who also have relatively bad DPS but make up for it by boosting the rest of the team’s DPS significantly via area buffs like spirits, banners, and might/fury.
4) Poor defensive/utility support. Guardians, thieves and mesmers have, by default, tons of reflects, condition removal, block, blinds, stability, etc. to buff other party members, while engineers and elementalists pump out raw healing numbers like nothing, even on a full DPS spec. These aren’t always necessary (sometimes they are) but they certainly don’t hurt. By comparison, the necro has? A blind on long CD (readily accessible by many other classes), another long-CD one-shot AOE condition removal. A small, long-CD AOE heal? Is that it? I don’t even know.
And no, before anyone brings it up, Epidemic isn’t a useful skill in the PvE meta. Spreading a few conditions around to multiple targets doesn’t help when other classes can put all the conditions you want on all the targets by default and can do so much more reliably without relying on another player’s conditions.
So let’s talk gimmicks that can give this class a role that doesn’t make me automatically go “dude just take a mesmer/thief/engineer for that” when i hear it.
tl;dr I’m pretty sure this class is bad, prove me wrong.
first, everybody have a wall text of complain on one class or the other, yours is special because?
second, u down right sound like you havent played the necro class at all, prove me wrong.
third, so u dont like the necromancer! sooo??? who said one is supposed to like every class? who said u r supposed to have a good reason? I dont like mesmer, never liked them, not even in GW1, they look effeminate and I dont role like that, dont care how useful some ppl say they r , dont care even if the class was broken and somebody sends me an email with the perfect solution to fix them and make them useful and perfect I wouldnt do it, because I dont like mesmers !!! I also hate the guardian because he is a like a successor to the monk and I hate monks!!! in GW1 they always rage quite and on top of that they were necessary and scarce I remember waiting for hours for a monk to show up, I love the fact that anet pulled such effort to ditch the traditional trinity, I dont miss monks.
a lot of ppl (not many though) kick @ss with the necro, shame on u if u r one of those jerks that kick necros (and thief) out of the party because u think the class suck.
at Citadel of Flames explorable Path 1, right after rescuing the engineer, one need to cross a hallway while dodging boulders of fire that keep swinging from left to right. the boulders are invisible to me!!! and other players too, I just cant see them thus not able to contribute to this portion of the dungeon. I do see their health bars but only one or two of them, for the most part I just dont see the boulder coming at me and killing me.
I knew this would happen, some back pieces are so awesome and ppl want to be able to have more than one…but cmon why so many?? do u want one for each day of the week? buy storage that what ppl do when they have too much clothes they like, they keep it in a large closet.
what if pistol range is adjusted to 1200 instead?
Wasn’t sure whether to put this in General or here…
It’s been my experience so far that the LFG tool is deeply flawed. Players repeatedly join groups without reading the description as to what the group’s looking for and wait until entering an instance before asking basic questions like which path we’re doing and so on. To compound on matters, the description script (which we’ve already established no one really bothers to read anyway) appears to be tied into the chat system and you can easily end up being suppressed just for trying to update it.
This kind of thing is endemic and it’d be painful enough without the abysmal “group merge” feature. I am curious as to what the thought was behind introducing this function? I would trust ArenaNet would appreciate my intelligence enough so that if I wanted to bring another group into my own PUG, I could just send them a /tell and ask. I really cannot see any purpose behind the group merge feature and I feel it is contributing in a major way to the drastic drop in group quality.
The tool feels very rushed and poorly thought out to say the least. If the group merge functionality could be turned off for now it’d raise the quality-of-life in-game at the moment by a factor of around nine billion.
- players join group “without reading the description” …. how is that the fault of the LFG tool? thats the players fault! it is ok, eventually ppl will catch up with it.
oh and that other thing u said “drop in group quality”??? yeah that comes with the pug so suck it up, but its only a problem when more than 2 ppl dont know what to do at a given stage of a dungeon or whatever, eventually those players learn and catch up just fiiiine!, but obviously not thxs to ppl like you though who expect every random player to be a well seasoned veteran .
shame on u shimmerless Im pretty sure u didnt start this game knowing what to do and where to go without some guidance from more experienced players even if they were just a couple of hours ahead of you .
so many interesting ideas, I do agree it get really annoying. I do mostly PvE , yeah I love GW2 world and its dungeons and enjoy doing world event and fighting dragons alongside hundreds of players , but way often guild members invite me to go WvW, it is a pain having to switch traits for that purpose alone, I dont even expend that much time in WvW, but still I would like some sort of mechanic to make it easier/faster.
just some ideas:
-maybe make it so that the trainer remembers, the last 2-3 builds I used before, and asks me to choose one.
-or maybe that every time I go into WvW my traits automatically switch back to what I had the last time I was in WvW.
-in the old GW1 the easiest thing was to change build, there was a panel with a library of build one could have, some shared from other players other made by one self, it included traits/stats and skills, it was so taken for granted and i miss it.
For all the insults being thrown at us “whiners”, you have failed to provide any evidence at a proper counter to this build, or provide any justification why a single build can provide superior DPS, sustain, mobility, CC and immunity to conditions AT THE SAME TIME.
The argument I keep hearing is ‘lulz you suck nub thief, use stun breakers". Well, that’s awesome and all except for the fact that my stun breaker is on a 60 sec cooldown while the stun comes every 7.5 sec, excluding the shield bash and the bulls rush, which both can be followed by a 100b.
Some of you are more open minded at least and admit lemongrass soup and/or healing sig are broken. But its the same as agreeing with my claim, u are just trying to sugarcoat it
I also keep seeing the “L 2 Dodge” argument. Well that’s nice and all except for the fact that skull crack is a poorly telegraphed special attack, has a very short activation and difficult to tell from a normal attack, and that’s assuming the warrior is not an asuran…
Here’s a few counters: stay at range, blind, steal the warrior spin, drop a smoke field of any kind and spin to win on it to not only damage but to reapply blind consistently. L2P, use daze shot if you sense skull crack coming, dodge….I don’t play thief and I know all this.
I was never talking from a thief’s perspective, How would a ranger or D/D ele deal with it? oh right, still stay at range and try to CC an un-CCable build, gotcha.
Stop trying to come up with excuses, you know the build is OP. And at this point no one has commented on why a single build has high DPS, high sustain, high mobility, CC immunity, condition immunity and 50% stun uptime potential AT THE SAME TIME
-why dont u guys start a thread asking for the right players to provide counters against this war build? it would be far more constructive than arguing whether the build is OP or not (this thread wasnt going anywhere useful Hunter should have know better than this) or questioning the wisdom of th developers who…well …lets face it, they know the game better than anybody who actually plays the game , doesnt matter how many hours u have invested in this game the only thing u can actually contribute to the developers in terms of gameplay is just a point of view, like walking by the nazca lines all u going to see is a lousy dusty brickroad. the developers would have the eagle view in this case and they get to see what the whole thing is about.
if the developers see that your whining has any actual merits, they will certainly do something about it, if that.
