I’d love to see a “peaceful Orr”.. kind of like the difference between Adult and Child Link in OoT… Could have the same chains where some Asura experiment went wrong and BOOM evil Orr is trying to take over.. talk about room for expansion on both Living Story and Personal Story, not to mention plenty of new events to work on.
Yeah it would be nice if we could have something similar to fractals, except that it’s not a dungeon but a whole map of an alternate reality that we can revisit.
So we could actually see how Orr was before it got flooded, with all the temples and high structures.

Character locking is also coming at the same time.
Solo Arena, map randomization and the leaver penalty are all coming at the same time.
The currency wallet will not have the 250 stack limit. Currencies in the wallet will behave in the same manner that gold and karma do currently.
So, I’m not going to spoil anything but I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you guys that according to game lore, there was never a Canthan district. If you’ve done your research, you’ll know that the great collapse was formally an arts district.
I pass by there every so often, and I had taken notice that there seemed to be some new spoken dialogue between the citizens in the area. Things heard in the deeps, etc. I had made a mention of it but no one really thought much of it at the time. Guess this confirms there is more to it than was expected. (I do appreciate Anet takes the time to add in these small details over time. Sure, you might have to be at the right place at the right time, or have to interact with something you didn’t notice before. However, it really does give life to the world and keeps areas from growing stale.)
I think we need to remember guys that the choice a guild makes and the reasons they transfer to a particular destination are many and varied, and a guild never really knows if they are truly making the right decision or not. Sometimes you have to use the information you have at the time and go with your gut. There are many things behind the scenes that very few of us outsiders really know or understand. I’ll admit, I was also scratching my head when I heard the news about WARD/ACO last week, but quickly realized that there were probably reasonably well thought out reasons behind the choice, and some things may come to light in the future that may at least soften our/your disagreements with it.
I certainly understand the feelings expressed by some JQ players, but the fact still remains that none of us are in a position to judge. It does still sting though, especially when a situation that was already difficult only becomes more difficult. Even then, I personally choose to wish departing players/guilds well and look forward to the chance to stomp them (or get stomped by them) on the field.

Holy mother of all that is good and holy! Shut up! You guys are all insane, by Einstein’s definition. Nobody has said anything new in 8 pages (that’s 400 posts), and yet it keeps going. How is that possible?!?!?!?!?!? Who cares about whose coverage in each time slot is superior. Play the game and share your battle stories, let’s put some real content in this thread!
You must be new here. Welcome to the 2v1, PvD, You’re stacked→Nuh uh, zoom hacker, </3 thread. AKA tier 1 thread.

Personally, no I’m not enjoying myself. The last 4 pages have been 95% “coverage this”, “coverage that”, with a “you need ACs to win but you still lose” thrown in now and then. I don’t understand how even that kind of discussion is any fun for them given that it’s the same conversations week after week.
I’m curious why so few people in T1 have their server name in their signature. Sometimes the conversation and server bashing is a little difficult to follow for an outsider.

We knew ascended armor was coming since November. It’s your fault for deciding to equip all your alts with exotics.

Harsh? Asc trinkets are a 3-5% overall boost to your stats. Unless you are hell-bent on always having the best items, you don’t have to get these.
Exotics will still be viable as they always were.
Crafting needed something like this to be worth-while again. No one crafts for any reason other than to level now, it’s pointless otherwise. Now you can make money and help guildies by being a 500 crafter.
My fun laughs at your server pride.
Yeah let me just point something out…
The ones that have enough achievement points to get the rewards already worked for their points for almost a year. It is only fair that new players go and work for it, just like everyone else.
Astrid Strongheart, Norn Ranger.
“I wish juvenile wolves were bigger”
I’ve been playing the game casually for a year now (well a year in august) and almost have 6.5k achievements and will have 3 pieces of the armor (i’m going for Radiant because it’s shiny), i fail to see how it’ll take you “a few years” to get there, especially if you are a hard core player, i know one of my friends has like 9k or something ridiculous like that.
Not every piece or gear should be stupid easy to obtain, it makes it not as meaningful, i mean cmon, look at CoF gear, EVERYONE has that gear, it went from being “That really cool armor!” to “That Armor that proves you know how to zerg”
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna
There are plenty of cool looking armor sets that new players can choose.I think its selfish to ask for something you can’t get immediatly.I think its a great reward for people who played this game longer and players who are dedicated to the game.
TL;DR-You are not entitled to it
That is and continues to be our stance on macros.
So according to the link it IS allowed.
“Does this program allow someone to play faster, better, longer, or more accurately than someone who doesn’t use it?” – No.
“Does this program allow someone to ‘play’ when he/she is not at the computer?” – No
“Does this program allow the user to gain undeserved rewards?” – No.
Guild Wars 2 players are permitted to use macros as long as the macros are programmed with a 1 key for 1 function protocol. – It does as it would only spam the “F” key I believe….
Underwater Operations – [WET]
I would otherwise like Evon more … but I don’t think I can support someone who sells RNG lottery weapon skins for gems.
So … yeah … Kiel for council.
Main: Caeimhe – Sylvari Ranger
Alts: Charr Guardian, Asura Elementalist, Human Thief, Norn Necromancer
Support Evon, because, you know, the most stinking rich guy in all of Tyria, who already has a ton of influence, should absolutely also hold a council position.
Because what could possibly go wrong? When has that ever been a recipe for disaster?
:)
Kiel on the other hand – What does she have to offer that could be of benefit to the public? A moral compass, strong work ethics… nobody needs that in a position of power and responsibility.
:)
PS: I support Kiel, obviously.

So… Ronah… you and gravity have met I see.
I had this same problem, and eventually found that I had to actually hit someone with the the blind skill for it to count it and complete the achievement.
Anything you do still counts towards the achievements, however you won’t get a chest for that race.
Think of it as a warm up period before your actual race. In reality it is just filling up arenas, otherwise you’d be sitting at the starting line for 3-4 minutes waiting for enough players to join to have a full race. Either way you will be waiting the same amount of time, this way they let you work on achievements, practice your skills and warm up instead of just standing there.
100+ views and no comment, so it seems very few, if any (forum users), have it unlocked. I’ll provide an opinion, but I haven’t unlocked it myself.
While the stealth removal is nice, it’s not the reason I’d use it. Mass poison on zergs, especially ram users on gates, is what I’d get it for. Reducing the healing effectiveness seems pretty powerful when enemies are out healing AC (or other) damage on the ram users.
But, that said, it’s too expensive to invest in right now as I feel 75 points invested in other skill lines would benefit you more.

Oh, I don’t really use the TP as a money maker, aside from using it to sell loot at a higher price than I’d get at the vendor for it. But observing how people make decisions to buy and sell and understanding the psychology behind it all is quite fascinating.
I never thought I’d say this, but watching the market move and trying to predict trends and acting on it is actually quite fun. XD
Money making is an addiction
Well, are Superior Runes of Divinity P2W then? It’s incredibly expensive, and provides an all-around stat boost comparable to this food buff.
You don’t buy Runes from the gem store do you? No. So thus, they are not P2W. P2W means you are paying real money to gain an advantage over other players that don’t pay real money.
Cash -> Gems -> Gold -> Runes
A bit more round-about but still same effect
Edit – although by that same argument Gold -> Gems -> Coffers -> Food.
Dear god, everyone can p2w! All us broke people are doomed! Doomed I tell you! DOOMED!

We’ve said it a few times before, but I want to just re-iterate we’ve heard folks feedback on this and will be doing a much larger mix of permanent, recurring (content that can occur again in the future), and more world impacting releases as it relates to living world in the second half of the year.
So you think recurring content is permanent? Typical ANet jargon.
Recurring is recurring.
Permanent is permanent.
People want permanent content as in content that’s added that will exist year round. Not this “permanent, recurring” content that only comes every blue moon. That is not permanent no matter how many “living world” teams you have.
English 101, a list is comma delimited. Colin was making a list of things we will see in the future:
-Permanent content
-Recurring content
-More world impacting releases
Edit – recurring content is still technically permanent content, as it recurs on a set schedule. It is ‘in the game year round’ but only accessible during its schedule availability period. Only once it is completely removed from the game, no longer to return, would it no longer be ‘permanent content.’

We’ve said it a few times before, but I want to just re-iterate we’ve heard folks feedback on this and will be doing a much larger mix of permanent, recurring (content that can occur again in the future), and more world impacting releases as it relates to living world in the second half of the year. There will still absolutely be some amount of temporary, in particular story-driven moments to help drive the narrative forward. You’ll also see some of the content previously noted as “temporary” return permanently to the game in the 2nd half of the year.
Three additional notes ->
- As we recently announced, we’re up to four living world teams now, which means they will have a much longer development cycle later this year to build more polished content, and content that can be more impactful.
- The Living World teams are only a small chunk of the total developers at ArenaNet, we’ll be going into details on what many of those other teams will be doing in a blog later this month.
- We also have teams working on much longer term projects, which we will discuss when they are closer to arrival.
We’ve said all of this before, but I think it’s good to just put that message out more frequently so everyone understands where we’re going. Thanks very much for all the feedback folks, as always we continue to listen to your feedback and course correct as we try new things in the live MMO space.
