Yeah, I have a problem with HoT. I bought the game, applied the code to my account and when I log in, it tells me to buy the expansion to access the new zones or elite spec.

Considering I bought it in the first place through the launcher, and my account shows that it is HoT enabled online, I don’t see why in game it’s telling me to buy it again.

That looks like the ascended armor you get from Tequatl. Is that the one from him? If so, then you can’t change the stats on them. Just the stats on armor you’ve personally made.

Expansion looks like fun. Will bring a bunch of new stuff.

Having access to the gear horns on my male charr engie would be pretty boss.

We have explosive incendiary rounds that can be fired from a minigun now along with functioning railgun technology. Is this even a serious question? If guys with swords and bows can take down a dragon, you can bet cash money on a modern military turning it to complete dust.

Uhm….no. I like my charr warrior the way he is. While I agree there should be more choices for them in character creation, I don’t want your perceived notion of “awesome” forced onto my toon. One of the reasons I got the game was because of the charr. My only gripe was that their footprints were backwards for three years, but that’s fixed now. I admit I would have my charrdian stand upright if given the option, just to have some variety. My warrior stays the same though.

It could have absolutely no effects like it did back when I first made it 3 years ago. :p

Yeah exactly! Then people will want to explore the dungeon and see if the rare spawned. Or they could make use for those empty rooms, or side areas that aren’t part of the main dungeon run that contains the rare spawn boss. All kinds of stuff they could do without having to create new assets to do it.

GW2 is more CPU intensive then it is GPU intensive. The majority of your lag is attributed to CPU bottle necking, so getting that replaced will show vast improvements. GTX 970 is a bit over kill for this game, but Im sure you play other stuff too.

I think dungeons having their own tracks would be nice. Getting to the end of said track gives like an exclusive back piece skin or something that is associated with the dungeon aesthetic.

Also, if GW2 took something that WoW does with dungeons by having random rare enemies show up that have a chance of dropping a particular collection item or something would also be nice.

Yeah I was bummed about that too when I finally used the rifle on my engie alt. I love it otherwise though.

I also don’t rage about minutia like a loading screen. I got it for the convenience of having everything in one spot and porting my alts to it for fast leveling.

While I like the flag backpiece a lot, I wish there was a bit more option with the flag. Would it be possible to release race specific flags? Like if a charr in the blood legion were to put it on, it would show the blood legion flag. Or just give us a backpiece that has options of flags we can put on it, or even different flag designs. That way we don’t have one color choice and guild emblem stamped on it. Can even be the same design, we just got different flags.

You think that’s bad? My horns disappear when I put on some helms.

If they add mounts, it needs to be like the magic carpet or the broom stick. No combat what so ever. There is no reason to allow such a feature in a game. Aesthetic travel via mount is fine IMO, as I see nothing wrong with someone exploring the environment on a mount that they get off of once they enter combat (as mentioned earlier, just like the gem store “mounts” now).

I made over 500g in Silverwastes making Orichalcum insignias for 7g a pop alone.

Are you kidding? With Silverwastes you have to ask how we have so many rares to salvage? I made like 2 stacks of Ectoplasms trying to get my portal stone. Turning that button off for rares at least would be AMAZING! X_X

How is what I suggested, a designated area for dueling, a game breaking feature that suddenly turns the game into Aion?

The reward track was just a thought. But the idea of the arena being a designated dueling zone would be nice though.

I don’t mind outfits to be honest. I just wished they balanced it out with armor skins as well. Like one outfit, and follow it up with a skins too. I have to admit, I like them on my alts while I’m leveling them. Not gonna lie.

Players currently have no way of dueling one another in game at the moment, unless it’s in a private arena and you choose to not do objectives. While this is all good and well, we want a bit more fun with our dueling combatants. A nice even playing field with no terrain to hide behind. A true test of one’s skill in combat!

Bring your grudge to the Black Citadel arena! Challenge your rival to a duel to first down, or a duel to the death! Combatants can challenge one another within in the arena, and be picked in the order they sign up. All players waiting in queue can view the combat from the stands where they have options to change the camera much like in SPVP. Players who don’t wish to fight, can spectate from the stands as well and cheer on their favorite duelist! There is no prizes here duelist, only glorious combat! Choosing your enemy is simple, you already know his weaknesses. Do you have what it takes to be the true champion of the arena?

The Wild Gambit is where players can queue up for random duels across the megaserver. Entering them on one side of the arena, while an announcer begins the duel so all players can load in. This can have a PVP track of it’s own and even it’s own leaderboards to showcase the best duelists in Tyria! Tossing in some unique skins for a track just for this random duel mode would entice people enough to keep it populated as a game mode. Would be a fun place for players to try out different builds as entering the arena as a combatant let’s players setup their builds, except in this mode it’s fully customized gear just for this mode. Instead of just choosing a weapon and trinket, players will have access to the full setup of gear. They will be modified for this game mode specifically, however the versatility of having all slots available for gear will open up many more builds, thus increasing the entertainment value of the crowd. We don’t want to see the same builds over and over. We want some variety in our arena!

These arenas don’t have to be restricted to just the black citadel, I just chose that one because it’s just a lore established arena already in game that could have a lot of potential. You can even have instanced versions of it where players can have PvE encounters with waves of monsters, similar to a horde mode. Each increasing wave getting more difficult, and players are granted certain game changing boons or conditions depending on if they can hold objectives from the hordes. Kind of similar to the event you could do in Blazeridge Steppes and you choose the kinds of monsters you want to kill. Like this mode can award titles and what not along with achievements. Just stuff that’s specific to that mode.

It’s not much, but having even little things like this in game for players to clunk around in while waiting for world bosses to pop or guildies to get ready for missions in an hour would go a long way. Players always want to duel one another. Give them a fun place to do it in! Not everyone wants team combat ALL the time!

Don’t forget zerker builds lose about 22% crit damage from Discipline, as well as free Toughness that made us be able not to be 1shot by Thieves. I think Zerker builds will be weaker, especially on Warrior when shoutbow alternative is so strong.

Stats on gear going to be buffed, also spvp amulets. Ofc we wont be able to make “hybrids” builds like in wvw but at least we will have defined roles.

Shoutbow with banner trait gonna become broken as .. yet even easier to play.

Oh they’re rolling the lost stats into the amulet? I never heard them say that, but that’s good if it’s true.

Well, yes and no.. Your base stats are being raised to a flat 1000 in the update. I dunno the exact numbers on the gear stat boosts, but gear is going to play a much bigger role now than before.

Guardians are less forgiving than warrior as they naturally have the lowest HP pool out of the two heavies. Guardians have to finish just about every fight they get caught in by themselves, as most classes can stick to them pretty well. Warriors can engage and disengage at their leisure, especially if you are running a GS.

I’m currently running a longbow on my warrior because of the utility it provides. I rarely use it for what it’s meant for, which is supposed to be a ranged weapon. I do like the ideas posted here so far. If rifle had a bit more utility, I could see myself using it more. :\

If they had randomized events that happened there, that would be neat. Like one time it’s the event described above, and another it’s the consortium hunter guy, and you can just expand on that. Have them rotate randomly, and then suddenly the area is more fun because it’s random what happens there, but regardless of which kinds of events occur, it leads into a meta event that summons the Karka queen. That way she will have several different spawn points and people can move around the map and do stuff as they like. People don’t mind the events, it’s the SAME events over and over that gets boring. If there was some way for them to do event rotations in zones, that’d be great!

Well, I’d think so. But then we’re already used to the schedule now…people would probably rage at that. D;

Yeah I got another account for daily rewards mostly, and more storage. Now I use it as a cash cow.

I have two guardians because it was so easy getting world completion with them. Perma swiftness is nice. Also, at the time….changing builds was a huge pain, so I made them with two separate builds. One was for fractals and the other was for WvW.

After I came back from my long break, they made all my ascended stuff account bound. So…now I have two guardians, neither of which I can delete because they have all my crafting recipes. /sigh
