This will affect PvP a lot, as in a full maxed FoV asuras will be barely seen, so animations will be even harder to read.
What do you think ?
OP you should have focused on the benefits of the POV stuff that will make PvP better.
Well not entirely true, guild wars 2 pvp is all about animations, an increased FoV will mean smaller characters thus less readable animations, we will see how this will play out.
Can you please add this in HoT, it would make coordination in soloQ and duoQ easier, and if you worry about spam just make the sound volume adjustable.

what interests me is more the FoV stuff than the FPS view, with more FoV you’ll be able to see more of the battle field, and the going to do a sneaky decap will be harder, i’m really interested how this will play out
And how about people who wont be able to have a guildhall because they play solo ? they wont be able to play stronghold ?
Player vs Lagg is not fun.
lagg is killing me more than people in pvp.

Saying that arena (2v2 and 3v3) requiers more skill is false, Arena mostly tests you mechanical skills, while Objective based modes test Mechanical and Mental skills.
Now that we have the Arena game mode, I have to say that warriors and Eles are dominating the arena, i know that this game is not balanced for the Arena game mode, but srsly you have to do something about this, this game mode is just unplayable right now.
Sincerly, Future Me just making a point.
Don’t forget that WvW guys don’t GvG that much, they GVG one or 2 nights (45min – 1h) in the whole week, you really think they will create a game mode that people will play 2-3 times a week ?
or every guild can get lot of teams, so larger guilds will have 3 or 4 teams, and they will share the wins and the losses of the guild they represent.
I think skill groups would be so much better than a ladderboard.
My question is simple, was stronghold made with PvP or WvW in mind, cause if it was made with PvP in mind, PvP people will dislike all the NPC stuff, if it was made with WvW in mind, WvW people will dislike not being able to use their “PvE” gear.
I like the idea of this game mode, what I dislike is the presence of NPCs, that’s why i see Khylo as the best map in this game, there is a trebuchet who must be manned with a player, and there are no NPCs to deal with only real people.
The other thing i like about pvp in guild wars 2, is that games don’t go over 15min, it’s not really the same thing with Mobas and RTS games.
I hope we will have a good and fun game mode, a lot of players were asking for “GvG” so let’s see how this will turn up ^^

Yeah, and then they can add the Keys to the BLTC so you can buy them and unlock those locks so you can see who your oppenent is. this way ArenaNet can make money from pvp.
well at some point the meta for all classes will be celestial amulet. at least it will be balanced then.
I think the problem is the lack of counter play on opponent’s part. Why not change IP so that it procs on weapon swap, functioning like an additional weapon swap sigil for engineers. The skill fact would be like this: “the next attack after swapping weapons in combat inflicts burning (4 seconds base duration)”. And obviously make an icon for this like you have for doom and leeching. No more RNG and at least some form of counter so I can see it coming.

Anet can you please make Aspect Arena permanent, it’s so much funnier than sanctum sprint, I would like to be able to still play it even after the event is gone.
I think Anet finaly found the right formula for gaining rewards, after the WvW tournament token, now we have festival tokens, you get them and you buy stuff you like, this is way better than all the RNG stuff that was in the game since day 1.
I like this way better ^^

Well you have to admit last year queen jubilee was over the top, it completely ruined the game economy.
The more rewarding events get the less ingame gold has value.

Do we need to put all our PvP skins in the pvp wardrob before the patch goes live or can we leave them on our characters ?
I just want to know what will happen when a theif with the Hidden Killer trait meets an Elementalist with the new Stone heart – You cannot be critically hit while attuned to earth trait. will things go BOOM on the servers ? is this why you said that the patch will werk the face of Tyria forever ?
The question is, let’s say i have 3 clones up, when i shatter my clones the little pink dots that indicates how many clones i have do not disappear until they reach their target or die, at this moment if i dodge will i proc new clones or not, because if i do not proc clones that’s a big nerf to shatter builds :/ (the only viable spec for tPvP btw).

Will armorsmiths be able to craft their ascended armor faster than the other 2 professions ? as for now people can stack deldrimore steel ingot for that,
because as from description the xunlai ingot will be fore jewellcrafting (if we trust the materials needed to craft it are platinuim silver and gold ore)

I think it was about time they nerf guardian a bit, and this is an indirect nerf, not a huge nerf but a nerf nevertheless. it sucks for ranger and warrior tho.
it’s an invocation not a spell that attack directly, it’s like elementalists ultimate, rangers spirits, necros minions, engi turrets … etc

if they put unranked Q they have to remove hot-join, and i think it’s better that way, everything is better than hot-join
I’m not saying this game is in a successful road to being an e-sport, because even when you know the game and play it, it is hard to keep track on what’s going on, the game is really a pain in the kitten to watch, and e-sports are all about watching games, if you don’t have people watching you have no sport. you can see that in guild wars 2 sometimes shout casters don’t even know what the hell is going on, and that’s not their fault (btw they are doing really good explaining everything) it’s the game that is too messy & the let’s AoE all the things play style is doing no good.
Okay so I misunderstood. I should probably brush up on my ele profession so that I become more fluid with my understanding of sPvP and e-sports generation.

We can say that the game is perfectly balanced right now why ? all teams are playing the same comp (NA PaX Qualifiers) and if everyone plays the same comp their fight is balanced.

What amazed me is that shout casters don’t have anything to speak of, because all that kills you is conditions, let’s face it yelling “ohhhhhhh he died because of all the bleeding on him” is not really an extraordinary show of skill or amazing play.

As the title says it would be really cool for SoloQ to add a sound when someone pings the map, because in the heat of battle not everyone is looking at the map.

IMHO, all what this game need is Global Cooldowns, Diminishing Returns and less 100% to apply “name something” for 4 sec cooldown 10 sec. Also Auto-Attacks should never be the main dps source (and that’s why warrior is struggling imo, no super ranged auto-pewpew that either hit like a truck or apply 4 conditions) if you take a dps meter you’ll see that auto-attacks do much more damage than a 45 sec cooldown skill like in 3 sec.

If there is one thing explaining why condition builds are better than power is that in the current state of the game you can mitigate direct damage with Boons (Protection) and Conditions (Weakness) but Condition builds cannot be mitigated with boons nor conditions (don’t say regen does that, all what regen can out heal is 1 or 2 stacks of bleed)
It would be nice to see some new boon that acts like protection but counters conditions (something like condition duration is reduced by X%) and a condition that could act like weakness but counters condibuilds.
And give those to professions with the least condi-removal capabilities (Warriors, theifs, Mesmers, Engineers …)
So what do the community think about that ?

I have a better idea, just put all the kits on the tool belt skills (where you can select 4 kits on your toolbelt) and put cooldown on them, and give engineer new utility skills for the missing kits now on the utility, then Reaper you will come crying about how OP the engineer is

I think they should just remove the entire class, my job is done here.
Yeah just remove the evade and make the skill do 14k damage that would be a nice fix
I think they should change it to “Defend points” that would push people to actually play the game and fight on the points.
Nice now they will nerf Mesmer after this, as it happened after Zoose Ele guilde xD

Since last patch we are facing huge lag on battlegrounds and tournaments, it’s unplayable skills take 5 seconds to activate sometimes and it’s really annoying is there a fix scheduled for that ?
