I thought Id got the HB mes but it was someone else though with where HB was stacking the top port must have been a chain. In the end HB ported back up and ran to flank the SoR pugs at the door because they were not on coms and did not read map.

Icoa doesn’t hack. They’d be removed from the guild if they did.

I would love to post and agree with the OP. The downed state is stupid mechanic. Especially when you factor in the complete stupidity that is cloth wearers taking less damage than Leather wearers.

My thief is useless once I’m downed, might as well just be dead and skip the long drawn out “kitten emote” that is the kill animation. It gets old. It’s not epic. My enemy didn’t actually accomplish anything. 3489 players hit me at once. That’s why I died.

Alternatively, they can give theives a knockdown (in which the other player is now defenseless for 3 seconds and cannot get up, and I can then unload 20K dmg. Most thieves play with 14-15K health.

In case anyone at Anet isn’t aware doing 19K dmg to someone that is rooted with a health pool of 14-15 means they’re extra dead. It’s not an oversight. it was done on purpose.

That right there, is called balance kids. Overpowered as hell, but balanced. Let’s get to it. Chop Chop. F2P means it’s a privilege to have anyone play your game. Not the other way around.

Anyone running this? I’ve seen videos of people with the UI in teh center monitor, when I do it, it’s spanned across each monitor in the bezel. very annoying.

If i drop to “windowed fullscreen” it works right but the FPS drop to 24 or so.

Also, when I press map, it’s severly skewed, and I can’t reach the button with my mouse, I to use the M key to get out the full screen map.

Anet? Are you going to give the rich people the abilty to move their UI around.

Windows 8 has everything Windows 7 has. The start menu changes, and there is NOTHING stopping you from looking at the old start menu. Download “startisback” and you’re good to go.

I’m on Gates of Madness and it’s fairly empty all day , everyday. 1-3 people in any questing zone I’m in (i’ve leveled 5 toons to 25+ since launch)

I don’t do WvW since it’s the biggest joke since the moonlanding..

Myself, I’m waiting for the server merges to pick the server I will quit on. At least then I’ll have one last opportunity to see this balance of classes, PvE dungeosn and the gear improve to continue to tank.

Increase thief dmg by 10%
Fix the Mezmer clone dmg exploit so they will return to being a useless class all together in both PvP and PvE.

I’ installed the System Builder version, full version of Windows 64bit on a clean platter hard drive to test. So far no issues.

Avoid the 310.33 beta drivers like the plague though they’re terrible. Stick the with 306s that are certified for now..not that any of you actually know what I’m talking about lol..

WvW is worse than a full time job , not to mention it takes 2 hours to get back into any action after your .0003 second fight is over and only one way point to use.

Alternatlively they could add more waypoints for 10 gold per trip, that sounds about as reasonable as a new trendy Apple Product right kids?

Bottom line, Mounts are needed more than Anet realizes, will drop the ball after most of the player base has dropped the game anyway…

so yeah maybe it doesn’t matter, no money to pay the programmers to make a mount for a total 1000 subscri…..players.

Medium armor is hideous and requires an update. Especially for females. I have to transmute everything to avoid puking and uninstalling the game.

ArenaNet found nearly EVERY SINGLE option to SUCK the fun out of Guild Wars 2. I honestly think they did it on purpose. “Well, no one is paying a monthly fee, so gives a CAT!?, let them suffer and cry.!”

Actually that’s exactly why companies don’t show population. “even though it’s not” is only a copout. Bottom line is this.

Only about 200-300 per server, pop is dropping everyday.

I you use your eyeballs you’ll see the absence of players.

FYI – the large amount of NPCs that are available to chat with aren’t counted as population as they didn’t purchase a copy of GW2, they’re technically employees of ANet.

If everyone knew the exact numbers, everyone would be screaming (like I have been) for a server merge to have a multiplayer MMO.

There isn’t really. No one speaks in this game anyway. It’s the strangest MMO I’ve ever played in my 34 years.

It’s like everyone has Antisocial Personality Disorder, so don’t feel bad people just aren’t sociable in this game. They could remove the chat box all together and it wouldn’t change a thing

• Buy gems from ArenaNet and convert them into gold;
• Buy gold from gold sellers;
• Gamble at the Mystic Forge, or;

If you’re silly enough to think that you’re going to get rich by studious participation in events, diligent gathering, and busy crafting, well, go for it, I guess. Right now, though, the bots have owned this game in its entirety, and those willing to buy gold from bots get a much better rate than buying it from ArenaNet.

Besides the fact that classes are 6 months away from being balanced properly, No. It’s not the new label.

It’s the only way it can be done. I have about 60 hours in the game and have amassed 1G 30 silver.

Gold is relatively cheap to buy. I have not purchased any because the game isn’t good enough to warrant the investment. However, games like WoW and Tera were and the invest was warranted. Then you were able to play the game with good / best gear as intended without having to work 80 hrs a week, then come home and work another 30 on a game with no reward.

However, the amount of currency that is rewarded in GW2 is beyond laughable, there is NO way to earn 100g reasonably. Notice I said reasonably.

Buying gold is how these people got their money. Period.

Actually the best part is the basic alpha/beta feature known as targeting finally works properly. Better late than never. Now let’s see if they can fix some grammatical errors and not screw up the other fixes.

En Masse / Tera Online made a huge mistake banning legit players for FARMING, that’s right FARMING mobs for gold.

“You’re farming illegally and your patterns are identical to a gold seller” is the basic reply you get when you account gets banned. It’s all over their forums or it was until they realized they’re complete f3ucking morons.

The problem with all MMOs is the economy. They make it like the real world economy, except, regardless of experience, you don’t get a raise or promotion to make more money. Unless you exploit. If you don’t you’re stuck with the drudge of being broke and barely able to complete what you want in a timely and reasonable manner.

Currently, purchasing gold is a great idea, just not from ANet or the TP.

The Secret World. There is a genius idea. ZERO BOTTING, SPAM ETC. Why? Currency is useless for the most part.

You get everything you from just playing the game. Novel idea right? Sure is, which is why it’s currently the best MMO on the market.

ANet purchased their Metacritic score like many other MMO companies do. (Same with BBB ratings too. look out consumers!) Funcom played fair and got smacked. Doesn’t surprise me. Look at all the companies that get the marketing hype, spend millions and they never, ever deliver. Except for Gears of War 3, sadly that’s a console game that makes most MMOs look like “Hello Kitty Island” in terms of game play, fun factor , and marketing.

Remember what I said about exploiting above? Yep, if you don’t, you’ll never get ahead.

Metracritic scores get your typical iPhone fangirls to jump ship and follow the new FotM (Flavor of the month) because the other lemmings are doing it.

I could release “toejam and earl” again from Sega Genesis, buy a metacritic rating of 80+ and I would be a millionaire, regardless of how terrible of a game it was. You all would soak it up.

There are few intelligent people left on the planet. We don’t fall for the garbage that is handed to us and then take it face value.

1.) Launch with 12 million new servers for the appearance of grand and epic scale (think Wal-Mart, or Sams Club, Costco for your West Coasters)

2.) Watch the community buzz about a flourishing MMO

3.) Call Bioware and EA 6 months later and realize you should have listened to the random posters that pleaded ’DON’T LAUNCH WITH 1000 SERVERS YOU’LL KILL THE GAME."

4.) Go free2play 6 months later. Oh.. oops.. well merge what’s left of the community so people can at least group once in while, maybe twice a week.

5.)Shut it down.

I know, everyone is excited for a new game, I don’t want GW2 to fail, but as a business man, with something few individuals have, it’s always so clear to me.
