So I quit GW2 about 6 – 8 months ago I believe it was, pretty much bored with the “more of the same” over and over state of the game. Since my friends decided to play again I decide to make a casual come back to the game for a while, now the important this is: Hows the warrior doing these days? I only WvW, already did my good share of dungeons and fractals back in the day, I quit around the time they made condition warrior an spvp beast, so would be nice if people gave some advice on whats is most popular right now WvW wise.

Also heard they added a new tear of gear past exotic, guess I can hunt for that in a while so any advice as of what changes fell upon the class?

The thing about healing signet is that it has no cast time meaning it will never be interrupted and you don’t waste time running around with your hands in the air.

And when used “which is a garbage heal” you loose the passive for 15 secs if spec. Wheee such an op trade off!!!"

Why is everyone so inclined to talk about the mace, is like every time something changes and people start winning with it, the kitten thing must be nerfed asap. The mace isn’t anything special, there are things out there far far far worse…a 3 second stun which can be countered in an absurd variety of way isn’t one of them.

Necros healing is lower because they are able to create “extra” bars of health. Even with the lowest healing in the game atm they can outlast most regeneration classes, also their large array of conditions gives them the ability to chunk down enemy health quite quick even when the first wave is removed not to mention they have access to poison something warriors don’t. I wouldn’t really touch signet of healing as same as troll’s unguent before the whole healing can be capped down via poison and burst damage will bring both down to their knees, specially healing signet as using it’s active heal leaves us with no passive every 15 sec if spec for faster signer recharge.

Eng. on the other hand via plain utilities and knock downs they can stand there forever, not only thanks to healing but thanks to their exaggerated amount of CC.

So in the end even if the math proves one thing, real time game play proves another. Signet of healing sustain us fairly well with higher heal than rangers and guardians who are in the same roaster, yet rangers have build in dodges and utilities with build in dodges as well as protection via dodging, guardians got access to Aegis via passive cool down, active cool downs and more importantly a large array of blinds and protection, both things the warrior lack. So again reducing warrior’s healing cannot be done without giving the warrior something to compensate for this.

Animation is lame easy to predict and the range isn’t anything special, can be reduced via armor runes and food. Negated by stability and stun breaks. Can simply kite the warrior and lol at him all along.

There Skull Crack is just another skill, now stop turning these forums into what they were in the days after release: “NERF HB/MAKE IT DUH GS BURST ABULITY/ kitten WARRIOR OP”

Just deal with it, is a skill like any other is meant to be useful not useless and more importantly is not something everyone is using or has no counters.

Whirling Axe sucks in PvE.

Please raise its damage in PvE.

It already has the same coefficient as a 3 bar Eviscerate. Which has the same damage as Final Thrust when the foe has <50% hp.

As for your “no one uses it in PvE” argument: I am running Sword/Axe and I think it’s awesome. Fills my adrenaline bar in 3 seconds flat.

Based on this guys other posts he doesn’t know what a coefficient is, and even if he did he can’t seem to follow the math in other threads even when it’s provided.

-Evi does that damage in one shot which takes 0.75sec
-Axe chain also does highter damage
- Its not even useful to filling up adrenaline, trait for either sharpening axes or furious, or take both and watch adrenaline jumping like crazy.
-Axe offhand offers nothing, its a trash. If they remove it from warrior i won’t ever notice any difference, that offhand wep doesnt exits to me and to many others out here.

Just because you may not like something that does not change the math behind it. It’s like guardians when you point out that sword aa has better damage than zealouts defense. They don’t get it, but that’s just how it is.

Show me a video where u killing mobs faster with whirling axe than axe chain. Zealouts at least has utility attached to it – blocking incoming projectiles. What utility whirling have behind damage? And don’t say its adrenaline filling, i actually explained it. Nobody that is serious using axe offhand, if i see actually someone that does i votekick him (in most cases their archievement points are below 3k anyway)

Is a combo move with fields, in WvW and well planned teams this could be really, really abuse-able.

If anyone here plays guilty gears, Warriors are the Sol Badguy of GW2 now.

anyway, Warriors have gotten better and better every patch, but other classes have gotten nerfed hard. Rangers and Guardians have no reason to complain, they are also on the side of smiles. Mesmers are becoming COMPLETELY worthless in both WVW and PVP. I see this Daec fellow (Sorry forgot your entire name) bashing thieves and such and saying we/they need to learn how to play. Let me explain something to you.

Thief class has been nerfed extremely bad. We have exactly two ways to play. Dagger/Pistol with constant stealth and back stabs, or sword/dagger with evades and much less damage. Warriors regen so much now that we cant use our pistol or shortbow against you, its literally a waste of time if we go the sword/dagger build. So now we go back to dagger/pistol which is effective against most every class, but now we all have to run it and a lot of us dont want too. Stealth isnt as amazing as you think it is. We get maybe 3 seconds of stealth unless we use shadow refuge, and using a Dagger/Pistol build we have low hp and low armor. Using Shadow Refuge we’re trapped for about 3 seconds in a circle and we almost always get hit, and a lot of the times die in their and you dont even know it. Any Hammer or Stunlock warrior with patience can completely own us. How do we beat a warrior? With sword/pistol and constant blinds. Thats our real way out, but it sucks against almost every other class so walking around with it is a kitten . You can say whatever you want it doesnt really matter because you seem to know better than everyone else, but before coming at thieves go play one vs a decent warrior now and see how horrible it is. Better yet, pick up Mesmer and fight a warrior. Its a good laugh

You REALLY need to L2P… you sound like you got too used to Back stabbing your way to the top…

Thiefs got nerfed constantly cause they were unstoppable killing machines, none of their weapons compared to d/d and short bow for mobility. In fact nothing in the game compared to that kitten. Oh well Pistol whip did for a while but it got quickly nerfed, in case you weren’t around when that happened, thiefs could shadow step behind you/ quicken > spam pistol whip and stack like 4 into the same animation then stomp you before you could even press a key. That was Op. Then came the back stabs for 17+k that was op. Mesmers being technically immortal and destroying every class via confusion + other conditions was op.

Warriors are both hard and simple all at once, we don’t have any advanced tricks, this is the very reason why playing a warrior is so hard, even landing a shield bash is a feat of might. Sure warriors can hit hard, sure we can sustain decently but is nothing any other class can’t do. Rangers long bow got buff along their pets now they are fun as hell to play and fight against, necros became abominations and every other class was somewhere around these levels so the only thing preventing you from winning fights is yourself.

So L2P before you force Anet into kitten nerfing mode to please the bad players who want to pvp only when a face roll class is available.

Roaming: apothecary dual swords/long bow is pure sex!
Joining with the zerg: A combination of zerk gear with p/p/t and p/t/CD is quite great.
Clerics build with hammer/mace shield is another alternative adding healing shouts or regen banners.

At this moment, an Apothecary/Settler warrior with S/S and LB is much scarier than the ones chaining stun. The Healing Signet required a chance, but a full healing power build makes the passive regeneration insane, not to mention boosting other sources of healing (e.g. shout and/or regeneration boon). That, combined with a high toughness, condition damage and plenty of condition cleansing, makes for a very unpleasant enemy that has way too much healing over time with a good amount of bleed, burning, torment and way too much immobilization.

Engineers are far scarier with their knock downs decent damage conditions and those kitten turrets. they out heal any regen warrior easily and got enough cc and condition cleansing to bunker a point for as long as they please.

Necros got far more insane conditions and very high sustain via their truck loads of additional life bars, hell even minions have become a good choice it seems.

Healing signet dual dagger thief with condition bunker build is scarier than a dual sword warrior so the warrior just stands along a lot of other builds that technically do the same.

As for mace build goes I still don’t see the big deal about it, fought some better geared warriors with this build using my regular axe shield Lb build and simply by kiting and stun breaking my way around I got pretty easy victories over em.

This thread reminds of the old days when the game was brand new and every single thread in the warrior’s section was “Nerf 100b”! Atm warriors are where they should be, they don’t need a nerf and they don’t exactly need a buff, if anything the only thing warriors need is a bit of love in the vitality traits.

Healing signet passive healing is good if you wear any healing power heavy gear thus sacrificing critical damage and critical chance along with higher hp and the rest. Our burst heal is great if we have full adrenaline. Same as adrenal regen. But now that burst serve their purpose in other words: “Hammers Aoe stun with medium damage, axe heavy damage, GS mid damage with buff, mace stuns, sword is heavy condition applier so on” warriors no longer stack 3 bards and stay put getting +X% damage and crit rate all the way with no real versatility or viability in any way around anything besides CoFp1.

A thief is far more mobile and though they cannot damage while in stealth “Duh” this gives them openings for escaping and opening whenever they want also the regeneration while in stealth is great, their elite poison is a great cc for openings and can be combined with runes for additional effects. All their elites are good and help them adapt to different situations. Warriors are still stuck with signed of rage which is now more useful as a passive in terms of adrenaline generation. But still if you loosing badly to a warrior you must be really bad.

I personally been playing around the hot join with a dual sword build on healing condition damage toughness build. Personally I find it really entertaining to play and the more I play around with it the more I like it. WvW wise I go axe/shield long bow and it fits my needs perfectly. I own a bunch of 80’s I have no problems killing warriors as any of them just as I have no problem killing anyone as my warrior anymore besides of course the very skilled thiefs “sword dagger specially” and the random insanely good mesmer rest is fair game for both sides imo.

Let be honest here, this build is good but not something you can’t counter. It got a good tool kit but also many weaknesses is all in a L2P and adapt scenario right now. Unlike mesmers who can get full control over a fight or thiefs who can simply run away in stealth if things go bad for em, warrior still need to commit to the fight from start to end, we got no real unpredictable moves or ways to hide our next attack, so if you see a mace warrior dodge his stun, stun break it or stabilize after the stun, GS is a joke in terms of how predictable it is, I carry it in WvW only to do a HB inside the enemy zerg after walking through a stealth field, spvp wise…fought many GS warriors these days “I use a dual sword condition build” they never even got me close to 90% hp…

So to close it up, people fight some bad players, see something work then come to the forums throwing numbers and asking for nerfs when in fact the warrior is right where it should be and where many classes should be.

I was using a similar build in spvp, only 0/30/20/0/20, using endure pain and signet of stamina along the dolyak, build was a beast in spvp, will try this variation to see how it goes but over all I must admit after the changes to the heals warriors sustain via regeneration went really high and sexy.

It really depends on what aspect of the game you are looking at. Guardians bring hella support via staff, symbols and their elite support tome. Elementalist bring good support via water skills and the ability to give other classes healing blast finishers.

Warriors bring good support via banners even if they don’t spec for regeneration banners and shouts. The only problem with these are their area of effect. For example if you drop some banners in WvW as the zerg moves your banners become obsolete also since they have long cool downs and they barely serve you in a team fight well, you be finding yourself in quite the bad situation with em when you’re alone. Same goes for this build in spvp, sure you can give a massive unique buff to your team but once they move away from it your glorious buff is done for.

In dungeon however one warrior dropping the precision banner makes a huge difference as it is, for high crit damage with mid crit chance build this banner can give up to 30 - 40% more dps just from the crits. But yeah warrior support is very very situation based.

A good thieve can win 1 v 1 most of the time, even 5 v 1 if the 5 in the scenario are bad as kitten but 20 v 2? You must be either afk, kittened or both at once for that to happen. Their burst is absurd yes but anything that touches them kills them. Now with the changes to blind I must admit the class became a little too strong in the dueling department since not everyone is in pair with the skill lvl needed to beat other players of similar skill who play the thief class however, the right way to do this is not by nerfing them to the ground, all their need is less stealth, far less stealth with a little bit more sustain while not in stealth.

In every other mmo stealth is to be used wisely not spammed for an easy win like in this game.

Firstly one the suggestion is plain stupid.

Secondly Anet is not to blame for these lame match ups, most servers have about the same population, the difference lies withing how many actually care about WvW. If your server is "Full but 90% of the people are there doing you know useless kitten like CoF 1 or farming orr for legendary kitten your server will continue to loose and thus those few who stand and fight will quit.

Personally I would remove WvW from the PvE side of the game. Remove the exp/gold/karma rewards and replace em with pure badges rewards. Then remove the kitten laurel/gold cost from gear and make the gear purchasable through badges alone. Since you can get pretty much any kind of stat gear through the vendors people should be able to gear themselves properly for WvW with ascended gear and wvw infusions rather than having to pick either AR resist or WvW infusions.

If this was done, people would stop bringing their alts for exp trains since let’s face it this game got the worse lvling experience of all mmos out there, before crafting allowed you to bypass this but since is nerf you might as well join the train or stop making alts at all. This would make none WvW oriented people stay the f. away from WvW like they do with Spvp and thus the servers population would balance a bit. Face it up-lvled train riders might be easy kills but they can still suck aoe damage out of the aoe cap, they can carry supplies and build siege and they can man siege thus making the loosing team who might as well be far stronger skill/lvl wise loose due to numbers.

Tested this after patch and before patch, no you don’t have a pet to keep up with your damage, you don’t have the massive evades, you don’t have trolls. So no warriors can’t sustain through regen, if at all.

How about they do the same they did with the savage achivement “the one that keeps getting completed about you use like 1k I think it was?”

Keep the main chives as they are for the titles. Give 5 AP every time you kill 1 – 2k enemies/ use 500 supplies in siege, 500 supplies in repairs?

Give new AP achievements for refreshing siege that been unman for more than 30 mins? There is a lot going on in WvW. Yet the devs seems to only think of the PvE community and even then they’re not doing a very bright job at that lol.

Seriously ranks mean nothing. I got 4 characters who are over rank 50, I joined the WvW on my guardian who is now rank 18, does that make me a seasoned player or a newbie to WvW? No.

So why show ranks to all players? They mean nothing and will at their best make a huge green blob when you run around. Not to mention you can join in the prime times to run around with a zerg spamming long range skills and capping PvD towers and keeps and get super high ranks like many of my guild mates do.

10 months after release and this is STILL the #1 WvW issue, yet absolutely nothing has been done about it. gee I wonder why people are leaving this game in droves? this game had such potential but again its lead by Devs who don’t give a rats crap about their player base. instead of putting in tiered population caps on boarderlands they keep spending their time on fluff events. the game has no endgame PvP or PvE content at all, I guess its my fault I keep coming back thinking they are listening only to realize once again that im deluding myself, so disappointing. oh well, once all the MMOs on the horizon launch this game will DIE the quick death it deserves.

The programmers and art team did a great job. Amazing graphics and smoothest launch with few bugs relative to other mmorpgs.

The current Dev team is just driving a game with a great potential into the ground.

Takes a special level of kitten iness to achieve that.

This game had the most potential out of any game out there, yet they’re slowly destroying it in such a shameless way it makes me wonder if the kitten developer team is just kittened or hopes to continue stealing money from their costumer’s pockets the Activision “Call of Duty” way.

Guardian - The OP

Guardians are not OP, they are a balanced well design class. Their skill trees are arranged correctly thus giving you the right secondary buff to match the primary one. Also you can property build defensively or offensively and success while bringing good support and damage to the table.

A good thief can fight in even ground with a guardian and win. But you rarely see good thiefs in the hot join spvp. In fact the thiefs I seen as off late still believe spamming heart seeker works.

In WvW I done 1 v 7 with a WARRIOR which teaches you how bad people can be. Yet I seen people who can easily take me down 1 v 1 cause they outplay me regardless of the class I’m playing at the time.

In the hot join a proper build/play guardian is a serious joke and face roll over anything. Now in a serious TPvp scenario you are in equal grounds with any none warrior player. So technically even if this might be your actual opinion and not some troll thread, no guardians aren’t OP.

Both tones are incredibly useful in WvW, use the dps one, spam one on their zerg from the back lines and you be getting kills like no tomorrow while assisting your team with some heavy aoe damage that is spamable, is like having a warrior’s long bow 3 that doesn’t have a cool down, sure it deals a bit less damage but again is spamable. The support one allows you to keep your group alive while doing siege, along other buffs.

RF is incredibly useful in one v one fights along with runes of Lyssa I think it was you can turn it into a massive steroid.

Now warriors on the other hand…

Banner: HUGE Cool down, what good is a free res if you can barely use it, also the buff it grants can be obtained in so many other ways that is not exactly useful in any way.

SoR: Some basic buffs for an elite…wow…thief can steal em necros can turn em into conditions, yala, yala, yala.

And got forgives that juggernaut crap…seriously that was ANet’s troll signature skill when they designed the warrior.

Hahaha yes this is probably the way they want to change the balance, they will make a skill for the ranger that will sumon a random warrior to the field, then a screen will pop in the warriors screen that will say " rangerxxxx wants you to be his pet do you accept the request? y/n "

They dont even going to take warriors on the number of players anymore because we are now pets.

So we finally get pets that can dodge? kitten yeah! And I’ll trait to stack might and give you protection, and we can go wipe the smug looks off of some guardian faces. I like it!

After reading this something interesting pop in my head: “If my warrior was the pet of a BM ranger his survivalbility problems and his heal problems and even my stat distribution problems would be solved for good.”

highest mobility in the game, virtually immune to snares thanks to melandru/lemongrass and dogged march. multiple sources of decent length stability, 2-3 immunities…. gee I wonder how were supposed to survive… whatever shall we do.

You are stating a specific rune set and a specific set of food that is available to EVERY CLASS, and citing it as one of our survivability mechanics. That is hilarious.

Not only that but we should not have to be forced into a rune set and a food set to be able to Play the kitten game. Your statement is appallingly ignorant on many levels.

your arguement is absurd, if anyone is pigeonholed here its guardians, they have one or two builds and all the others are gimmicks or solo specs at best. warriors have multple effective melee builds and multiple effective range builds.

the man asked for survivabilty, and then some people whine they shouldnt spec for survivability in order to survive…. oi.

We have many builds? Lol sure a lot of useless builds we do have, we spec for survival…we survive less than any other class and still can’t deal any damage or real CC or utility. We spec for damage, we die before we can actually damage anything. Warrior require an absurd amount of skill just to make them partially work, thus making skilled players think warriors aren’t that bad….then you hoop into ANY other class and you are like WTF Why was I wasting my time with that garbage class?!

Tested your build, so far so good, other than pure condition necros the build seems to deal well with everything as long as I’m not outnumber. Even then I can at least last a few moments to deal some damage for my group and sort of hold the point I’m defending at the time.

If you notice the other team is running a Condi heavy build, switch out Endure Pain for Berserkers Stance and you should be able to hand Necros their hats.

Good advice, will try that out.

They don’t have enough ppl -or the allocated ones are incompetent- to do class testing/balancing. PVE makes them money so why bother with balancing issues so they direct their devs

They apparently rely on the gamers to do the testing and even then take little of any of their suggestions.

They are also apparently not that competent at their job e.g.inability to tackle orb hacks, inability to tackle farmers, inability to fix the simplest of things such as defy pain bugged duration etc.

Just one person working on each class for a week is able to do what they haven’t been able to for a full year.

They should make significant changes and hey..if they become OP..just nerf them back. It is way better than leaving a broken class and having players give up and leave the game.

A week, I could sit in the toilet with a piece of paper and do a better job than this garbage we’re getting patch after patch. Both for class balance and pve as well.

Lyonell, I’m not the only one who disagrees with the poor sustain. lol

I’m done, you guys complain, and that’s it. “I got hit, I should have better sustain” or “My zerker build have poor regen, our sustain sucks” Is what I always see nowadays. Please take time to learn how to use a warrior and you guys will be fine later

Your problem again lies within the fact that you think everyone is a zerker warrior who bull rush goes frenzy and HB his target hoping he can get a kill before he dies. Again you are wrong.

I been testing builds around in spvp all day, did clerics, switched weapons and traits around and found nothing viable. Healing power doesn’t scale well enough on warriors like it does on rangers for example. This is because rangers got far more sources of regen and ticks healing. Thus if I have 4 regens ticking +35 because of high healing power. thats a total of 140 additional health per tick. If you add that to trolls which heals around 1.7k per tick on a healing power build you get about 1.9k per tick on a low cool down that keeps you alive due to massive evades and access to protection. Not to mention high armor.

On a warrior a fully cleric geared and healing oriented gems bla bla bla bla gets healing signet ticks around let’s be generous and say 300…our regeneration trait gives us another 400 every 3 seconds. that’s 700 every 3 seconds and 300 “actually a lot less” every second. Now I use MY ALL MIGHTY BURST HEAL. And heal for 3.7k…without poison but my healing signet passive is gone. There is no protection to reduce incoming damage and no aegis to deflect it.

Again to get those unrealistically high numbers above you sacrificed all your damage, chance to crit and most of your utilities and possible builds. Now you sustain yourself less than any other class, bring less to the table than all other classes and still can’t kill anything. Congrats you got a broken useless class!

Healing meditations added to the insane survivalbility of the guardian give you the ability to stay on target, remove conditions, turn em into boons, support your allies and so on it goes, same goes with shout build. The spiritual weapons are the only not so well thought or kinda useless utility I see in the guardian.

Healing shouts add very little sustain and sacrifice your utility slots. Even with soldier’s shouts removing conditions don’t add for enough sustain. Again you need 30 points in the vit tree which for a warrior is worthless in every way. More hp adds nothing since we can’t heal it back or keep it from going down the toilet due to no protection or aegis or any real source of damage reduction.

Again sacrificing utilities to get crit. Yeah…this shows how broken the class is.

Well I can log my ranger and show you. WvW wise nothing can kill him, spvp wise his sustain is insane enough if property played and his damage is good enough even after the pet’s nerf.

@Skelemiere: Clearly you’re either trolling or you really have no idea what you’re talking about. Let’s put it this way, every other warrior are facing the problems, yet you aren’t. I fought a bunch of warriors today in spvp… None proven close to a challenge. If you aren’t encountering all these problems then share your build, show a video or something.

lol warriors have sustain if you specc for it, if you want the build, I will give it to you once the skill calculator is updated.

Where is the trait that improved my damage reduction and healing?

Maybe use cleansing ire. Oh maybe use berserkers stance along with it. How about banners? They give nice regeneration and good team support.. (and other benefits). Why don’t you also use cleric trinkets and dwayna jewels. Hmm

I will tell you why your logic fails.

Cleansing ire requires me to use my burst skills. Burst skills are useless, so I have to use a useless skill to cure conditions while classes like guardians got truck loaded with condition removal AND they can usually turn them to boons. Mmm…Yeah we are so up there with other classes.

How about banners? 30 points in the vit tree to gain regeneration… I have to sacrifice an utility slot for a buff that will stop affecting me and my partners once I move away and can be taken away by any troll in WvW hum hum hum hum… yeah I see it, I FEEL IT!

I done the clerics trinkets and full cleric gear , result, sure I could sustain myself like what 20% longer? My damage however? Laughable. Under 570 per hit, hard hitting skills wouldn’t even reach the 2k mark. Thanks to this I got no precision so no crits and since no zerker or knights gear I got no critical damage to back me up anyways.

Now let compare us to any other class:

Rangers can sustain through Troll and massive in weapon evades. Prot when dodging which they can do constantly if spec correctly. And since most of their damage comes from their pets they get away with the lack in personal damage.

Necros: The patch made them gods, leave them alone.

Mesmers: Clones, stealth invisibility, a class with strong class mechanics that can turn any match to their favor.

Guardians: Their trait trees are made in such a perfect way they can sustain in any type of gear, they can support and deal decent damage regardless of how kittened the person using it, is. That’s not mentioning their hp is up pair with their healing and sustaining said hp with aegis and protection isn’t a problem. They also got access to blinds so that’s even more damage denial.

Thief: Stealth…nuff said, they do all we can do but they do it correctly.

Engineers: Never touched one, but fought many…bunker engi. is just stupid, so much cc, so much damage mitigation and invulnerability.

Elementalist: No further explanation needed here.

When my dual shot crits “bot hit combined do about 1.9k damage.” With the range increase this makes the auto attack good enough and the long bow a really good weapon over all. The only change I would make is making the kitten AoE’s fly faster to their target point.

Before patch it was somewhere around 4. It felt like all it needed was some sustain and some fixing in the stay on target department along with some traits being completely removed and changed to something useful “I’m looking at you revive crap get kitten traits”

After this anticipated patch, I feel insulted at it’s best. So -10 out of 10.

Truth being told the true problem in WvW lies within the game design itself.

-Winning World Vs World requires people to be willing to play WvWvW or servers to stabilize their population by adding new players to their numbers.

^ This won’t happen cause those who love wvw are the only one doing it, over all wvw turn more boring every week as match ups either get kittened up or stay in capsules that will rarely change where Server A will always win and server B and C will fight for second place OR server B will fight A while outnumbered while server C is not present at all.

Problem 1 lies within the fact that this game fails at attracting and keeping it’s population. Way too many players come online once a day to do their daily and then log out. The game itself offers no progression other than showing off a legendary item which might be enough for some but for many isn’t worth the kittened grind.

Problem 2 lies within the fact that the updates applied to the game are pve oriented, horrible while at that but pve oriented mostly. One new siege mastery doesn’t cut it, specially since you can’t reset your skills to obtain em.

Problem 3 lies within design, any game in the history of gaming will make 1 point buy 1 skill not 25 points then 50 then 75 for something like 1 more supply. Also the way points are obtained are determined mainly by luck and server standing, if you play while your server is pvding kitten you rank up like a mad man, if you play through strong field fights chances are you won’t get kitten cause everyone is dying so much they now give 0 Wexp.

Problem 4 lies within rewards, WvW offer no real rewards. Badges? C’mon I can craft that kitten gear cheaper and with far less effort than by grinding badges. Oh also for about the same cost. Or I can go do dungeons get the same gear with better skins…Ascended gear? Faster through fractals and daily farming alone. You spend 1 hour and over 50 silver in repairs taking Storm Mist castle. Your reward? 7.x silver 700 wexp and a huge debt as people will come back to reclaim it asap. You loose a lot and gain nothing. On this point also comes the Zerg, why is everyone in a zerg? Cause in other to do anything you must. You can take and defend a tower with 5 people BUT if I do that I’m loosing the 1.90 silver I would get from capping that other tower and since defending only rewards if you kill the enemy or repair “EVERY 3 MINS” you loose more than you gain by say letting them take it then retaking it or simply rolling with a zerg.

Next problem be server lag: You finally got into a good fight, time to spam 1 hope you live and tag enough kitten to get some loot bags baby. No skills required, no tactics other than arrow carts and balistas baby.

Next problem lies within tactics: Everyone will do the same thing. Put some balistas in a circle around lords room, bunch of arrow carts in the walls, while the other team aoes over and over and over again. You will see the same siege repeating itself to no end.

Class balance: They seem to be trying to fix this by making it worse each patch. So I decide to roam, I’m say a warrior oh look my hp suddenly went down 45% aww a thief just downed before I could even touch him…how cute…OH look an elementalist…aww he saw I was too much for him and ran away! Oh look a guardian better whack him and get whack for a loooong time with no real winner so both will go on our own ways. There is no real reason to fight 1 v 1 cause the outcome of the fight unless one side is horrible or lagging is already decided.

Again server lag, can’t really play wvw without skill lag and serious server lag thus leading to an overall unsatisfying experience.

GvG: Guilds have no reason to play together. Been said enough no reason to add more into this.

Commander for gold: Yup, got to Borlis lion’s arch or any map, you will see like 20 commanders. None of them ever touched wvw they just got commander for the lol after a truck load of citadel of flames farming. Then go WvW I say 2 to 4 of our commanders are worth something, the rest, kids who had enough cash to buy it and just want to show it off. Yes A net I understand you love money sinks, I understand it reduces gold for gems and increase gems for gold but seriously. This was the stupidest idea I ever seen.
