Under Macros, the following sentence seems to say that NO, a macro is forbidden in PvP……..

“This means that if you program a macro, it must require one keystroke per action. You may not program a single key to perform multiple functions.”

in the Hall of Memories (spec’ing out a build) where you could refresh your skills with one button…and of course I’m not suggesting it be done within the time confines of a battle. It would just streamline trouble shooting so much. Everyone could get 3 or 4 times the practice in, instead of waiting for certain skills to reset.

the game has gone out of its way to make it clear that any changes made during the Demo are not saved. I just was wondering if this included Transmutation Charges.

im out and can not find any vendor who sells them. I’ve been to every WP in Tangled Depths. Does this guy come and go ? I can’t even open my home instance chak acid treasure node.

also, are there any third party PC gurus who can jointly access my PC to possibly diagnose my mouse issues ? I love it when someone who is very expert can get on my PC and see my situation up close and personal. I used to be fairly savvy in these matters until the entire state of the art whizzed past me at the speed of light.

I first noticed about a week ago that my mouse would freeze in EotM . I’m using Windows 10 and the 64 Bit Game Client. I hear audio alerts first which first signal that my mouse is about to “freeze” and that after several more little blipping sounds the mouse is virtually useless and thus the game as well. I am currently researching on the Web for others that may have this problem and it looks like I’m not alone. Maybe its a game issue ? I use a Naga Hex mouse and really like it and don’t want to toss it.
I’ve done all the usual things. Switched USB ports, updated drivers etc. all to no avail. The game is virtually unplayable and I may have to give up playing unless I can get it to stop this. Anybody have any suggestions ?

ok I’m a bit confused now. I had five originally (when I asked this question) . Inculpatus said you can buy 13 and along with the freebie that brings you up to 14. After Inculpatus answered my question, I was set to purchase 8 more (8+5 = 14) but could only purchase a set of 5 and two more (7). After the 7th the offer disappeared. So now I only have 13. I won’t lose sleep but there’s a disconnect here.

I get that Aryilana about the expedience outfits provide. Some of us like just spending hours designing our looks with dyes and different styles and what not. I even own the permanent Hair Stylist.

GW2 makes great looking outfits but the fact that they’re pre-made makes me not want to buy them. Having them pre-made removes all creativity from dressing your character.
If the BL Trading Post had more individual items like shirts, shoes, slacks, headpieces etc. I think you’d get a lot more people interested in buying them and creating their own unique look. I discussed it with my guild mates and we all agree. By the way did I mention that I think ArenaNet is doing a genius job of creating a great game !

I’m in Divinity’s Reach and want to go to the Ley Line Confluence Way Point. It is not visible to me from where I am. I wish all way points , regardless of elevation, were visible on the map so I can make a non stop flight from point A to point B. It is quibbling I know but I’m at the point where I am stabbing at the map with my cursor hoping to hit the sweet spot of the WP I want. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Peace be with all

I have 100% of the experience in Exalted Gathering but not enough (8) Mastery points to fulfill it. I want to move on and fill out another progress bar with XP for another part of the mastery system but I don’t want to lose what I have already. If I choose to start another XP bar without first obtaining Exalted Gathering, will I lose that XP ?

I just figured out how to get this. The Crystalline Ore Merchant in Dragon Stand (HoT) sells the Vigilant series (Laranthir). You just need a ton of crystalline ore

I just leveled up my leatherworker so I can now craft medium ascended gear. I would like to craft my Thief’s armor with Vigilant Stats but am not sure how to proceed. I’ve been searching all over (the new HoT maps in particular) but as yet can not find it. Please help ?

stations …..PLEASE ? Would it be that expensive for Anet to install more repair stations ? Also, is there any point in having a way point if it is perpetually contested ? I left World of Warcraft due to encumbered movement. It would be such a nice change of pace to be able to quick jet to any action using the nearest way point. Keep (or code) the contested way points for special applications.

You get a Mastery Point…..also, I noticed the Q and E also give flanking moves.

also, speaking of gliding, are the w, a, s and v (stealth gliding) the ONLY keys to be used when gliding ? I just got a Mastery Point in Tangled Depths for staying aloft long enough to access a cloudy node in the central arena. The area is the large confluence (Ley Line Confluence Way Point area) and you can stay aloft indefinitely as long as you have ley line gliding. I’m trying to go up one of those little chimney holes in that area

yeah Tex, I suspected that all along. Dresden, I know what you are talking about as well. I’m thinking this particular set of updrafts may have been nerfed since HoT began. I distinctly remember standing on the lip of this little chimney. I’m searching for other ways to get there just to make sure that is not the way I got there originally.

Do some updrafts disappear ? Alternatively, do they vary in intensity ever ? I could have sworn I used updrafts to take me from the ground level (western end of the water grotto in Tangled Depths) all the way up to the very lip of that chimney thing. Also, if I’m not mistaken, I think I have flown right through an updraft with no effect at all.

I realize that it was probably my imagination, but during an event just now (Octovine , East Quadrant) I noticed that the guy with “Soul River” wings got a higher lift than me on seemingly every effort. Would gliding physics ever become a competitive endeavor in Heart of Thorns ? I realize that this is precariously close to being an ethical issue. Thanks for the cool game !

If I do Heart of Thorns story line solo, I have no problems. I get occasional Mastery Points and the end of the story mission crossed blades icon with bonuses. I am having issues with getting credit while I do the story line with other players. If the other player begins the mission, and I happen to do a story line out of sequence I get no credit. I have also not received credit on at least one occasion for doing the story line IN SEQUENCE but not having started the mission. Is there somewhere where I can read about how this works ?

I feel the need to ammend my comments. The game is not to be faulted in any way. My ISP came out on Thanksgiving Day to install a new modem. This absolutely fixed my problem. I now also have the 64 bit client to boot ! :-)

Map indications of updrafts would be nice. A more elegant way of detailing height and elevation might be also useful. Currently the system shows elevation strata to some degree but almost at the expense of visibility, that is, some way points if located several levels below (or above) your location almost become invisible. Maybe a numerical listing of levels ?

I just recently I have started having incessant disconnectivity problems. I’m using Windows 10 on a 64 bit (8 GB RAM) PC with an AMD A8 5600K APU with Radeon HD Graphics.
Do you think downloading the 64 Bit Client will help ?

Would it be a good idea to install crafting stations in the PvP lobby so as to give people waiting in the queue something to do ? It would be a $ource of revenue for Anet.

I’ve taken the requisite steps to procure my Water of Rhand but the mechanism appears to be bugged. Is this just something I’m going to have to wait and retry every day or is there a suitable alternative ?

I guess in the limit as each profession becomes increasingly more difficult, the result is just PvP ?

This may be better served on a different Forum (PvP ?) but I use the sparring section a LOT. I love that you can put your character up against any other profession (except Ranger?). I have come to quite easily beat all of the professions but was wondering if a moderate “tweak” to make it more difficult might be useful ? Easy, Medium and AI Hard ?

Is this going to be something that those of us who have Tomes can do or will there be a restriction like time gating ? I would really like to know because in the meantime I would like to get another class going (Mesmer and Necromancer) while I wait for the Revenant and HoT to come to fruition.

How much trouble would it be to make it where everybody in the game had the ability to walk around playing his (or her) own personal music ? You could write code to make it where you could turn your own “radio” off or someone else’s radio “off” if you didn’t like their song. Also when two people came close together playing the same song, it could synchronize constructively (wave form). Copyright nightmare ?

I guess I am asking will I be able to purchase the ascended items needed to make the bioluminescent armor, since I have all the other stuff ….all 9 components (you need 10), and the badges and gold to purchase the ascended stuff?

will I be able to get the LUM armor without doing the achievements ?

RBG value of a dye ? Someone in the game said through “Account” and I don’t know what that means. I ask because I was certain I had darkest (Abyss) dye in the game until Shadow Abyss was promoted and my inner BS detector alarm sounded and said…."did they just lighten the original Abyss to make Shadow Abyss appear darker ?

trying to log in kept asking me if I “forgot my password?”. I entered it directly and still came up with the same question. I was able to log on here and changed my password just now. Is the game down? In the meantime I am just going to reboot.

how do browswer hijacks work ? can you get infected just by visiting a page or do you have to download ? It would seem , considering my history, that just by visiting the page you can get infected grrrrrr….

I was going to use CCleaner. Is that enough or is adwcleaner as good or better ? Its like right now, my PC is working great and I don’t want to start fixing junk that aint broke. My history with self repair (Windows) is spotty at best.

Just to be sure, I went into Guild Wars 2 and presto !….I was able to access the Trading Post !

Healix, I fixed it ! I went into each disabled browser, then into General and changed the address from what was in there (http://www.msn.com/?pc=MSE1) to the default (http://g.msn.com//HPDSK13/1). I then went to Connections, same box tab over to the right a bit, and checked “automatically detect settings” and unchecked the Use Proxy Server….

Healix, thank you so much for that lucid troubleshooting routine. I did all of that. For some reason, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome insist on using the PROXY setting checked and are therefore unusable. Firefox is the only browser (the one I’m able to talk to you with) which doesn’t use it. Right now I feel like I am a nano hair closer to fixing this problem.
