Shoulder piece is the whispers Pauldron and the head piece looks a lot like the vigil headband.

would not surprise me if its used to make the underwater spear legendary

from what ive noticed the drop rates were lowered and they added ascended recipes for breathers thus kinda diluting the drop chance even more.

bladed armor is purchasable after you get the itzel language mastery :P but each box is 500 airship parts i think

ive checked near enough every vendor in dragons stand all they sell are the usual salvage kits and a second tab where you can get the machetes for the pods i was thinking of running alts into the story but the issue is surly the chests will be locked for the class so ranger can only pick medium ele light and guard heavy. i dont know whats happens after you kill the mouth other than the rewards.

most likely a question alot of people are asking in the forums about how to get this armor set ingame, i know afew ways (i think) to get this set. Im posting this topic to ask if anyone else knows any other way other than the ways im about to post on how to aquire the chests.

1. the ‘rare’ noxious pods that you can find around dragons stand that require a machete to open.

2. dragons stand map bonus from doing events

3. the mouth of mordremoth(not my favorite event atm due to people not fully understanding it and what to do)

4. apparently you get a chest from your personal story

still using my warhorn with a howler reskin. didnt like northwind i find it alittle to bright on the eyes but thats just my opinion.

i tried hard to stick to my ranger even did some hero points to unlock more of the druid traits but…its looking like tempest will be my main for awhile longer. till they give ranger/druid afew more tweeks its farewell bud its been a roller coaster of a year.

There isn’t a problem with the sword. Working as intended. Take the step to master this weapon as is. Whether there is or isn’t a change to the way this works you will be better for it.

My keyboard won’t, though. Is it really too much to ask to be able to use a weapon without mashing the 1 key constantly?

Fellows like you need to stop resisting quality of life changes just because you think you’re a better player for being able to compensate for a glaring design flaw in how the game is coded. This problem has been persistent for three years because of it.

this has been in gw2 since i can remember and its meant to be a thing. until you are dead you can command your pet. i dont see any issue with it plus having no access to commanding your pet just leaves you with a static AI till you can use lick wounds for it to help res you. it helps since you can use the f3 key to call back your pet to you so when lick wounds is off cd saves time having your pet run to you and possibly dragging a boss onto your head.

sounds like you dont like getting feared by the wolfs f2 when you’re trying to stomp if its a problem pop a stab skill and there problem solved

i stay clear of LFGs that mention zerker meta ap+ and gearcheck…. i prefer not to run with people who would most likely moan at you for making just the smallest mistake and we all make mistakes now and then.

mounts arent needed in gw2. one reason is obvious and thats the waypoint system. maps in gw2 arent like one in tera or WoW where a mount is practically needed to get around the map. gw2 maps are seperated into medium size instances which take about 4/5 mins to run to one side or the other.

you do know that items with selected stats like legendaries dont show the current stats they are using right? it only shows sigils

only bosses i say are worth it are teq and karka. TT is only worth it if you get into the right map otherwise its a waste of time. i only touch the other bosses for daily now.

after they changed we heal as one it unequipped on my ranger so i had to equip it again. this could be the problem. like others have said try adding some hero points and unlock a new heal ability might unlock it again. if not drop a ticket to support and see if they can fix it for you.

hi guys been watching this forum for awhile but didnt have the guts to post anything till now. i recently got hold of the light of dwayna recipe which im going to use on my ele.
the only problem im having is charged cores and damask. i would prefer cores over damask due to the fact damask is very expensive atm and i wouldnt feel happy knowing someone bought me a bolt worth 18g. i will try to gift in return after my backpiece is made. thanks :S

thanks to someones kind donation of cores im currently sitting on 5 cores(transmuting them tonight and 1 lodestone from fractals) which means altogether i need 7 more charged cores. and again thanks to the kind person who donated them i’ll be sure to drop something nice to you during halloween

look at it this way.

guard is support/semi tank (depends on build)
warrior is upfront dps aka melee
ranger is pet control and dps/ support (spirits healing spring pet condi clean etc)

guard is good at taking hits cc’ing bosses and generally keeping their team alive in dungeons and basic pve content. you have access (till hot) scepter staff hammer shield 1 handed sword mace greatsword focus and torch.

warriors like i mentioned are kinda frontline dps but can also do a good job at support if you run phalanx/strength. they have access to greatsword axe 1 handed sword longbow rifle shield warhorn and hammer(i know nothing of warrior since i hardly play the class so feel free to add anything)

rangers are well ok currently i guess..(ranger main) they are a dps but can also give good support abilities in the terms of their spirits, pets, traits and healing spring. they have access to longbow shortbow dagger axe 1 handed sword torch warhorn and greatsword.

i didnt want to go into much detail but if you want me to i can and im sure everyone else can give you a basic guide on what each class is like.

fractal 50 drops the tonic other than that not really anything else the drops rate is near enough the same

my pug life story.. oh where to begin.

yesterday i decided to pug into a level 19 fractal (possibly my 4th time pugging solo) it went rather well finished in under 40 mins no real problems. it gave me hope and might change my mind on joining LFG groups. i was wrong checking the fractal LFG for a 29, i found one. they were on their 3rd fractal i thought oh boy just my luck!. so i joined said hi and warped in. hammer fractal no worries its fine the ad did read and i quote ‘fractal lvl 29 3rd exp’ at the 2 seal rotation so i run up the beams etc to find to my fear the first seal had the chanter spawns fun. so i pop speed run thought and drop a static field (skill 5) to stun them and run to them stacking the other seal. i then noticed both seals were untouched. so i pulled the chanters run back pick up hammer get a stack hit seal run back. drop hammer. mesmer picks it up runs straight to the seal and starts spamming skill 1.. i tell him to come back he drops hammer necro picks it up gets a stack runs to seal i just hit and hits it runs back..thief then grabs hammer runs to seal spams skill 1 dies and relogs. so i then typed that me and the guard are the only ones to use hammer (to save mine and the guards sanity) complete seals np after that.
the boss went fine kill chanters then started the boss. boss drops hammer. i go to pick it up but im too slow necro picks up hammer gets a stack runs to seal before we can even attack the other chanters necro hits seal. everyone gets stunned after stuns finishes both mesmer and thief die me and the guard killed the chanters but then had to ress both the thief and mesmer while necro ‘tries’ to keep boss off us. 2nd hammer drop from the boss guard picks up hammer gets a stack and drops the hammer before anyone knew we killed all the chanters (my bad for not seeing sooner) so we had to wait for the spawn to get a stack then kill off the adds after the hit. after that i made sure i had the hammer after every drop. proceeded with rest of the fractal got jade finished it with me and guard due to necro switching to his ranger who had no AR and thief and mesmer dying all the time. ‘fun’

instead of waiting for night cycles dungeons like AC are classed as night so if you want to check armor glows just run into AC

close to halloween so why not grenths hood and i know its more for the old wintersday fight between dwayna and grenth but cmon i really want the hood ;/

it just changed my build out to water attunement LH, switch ice for LH with glyph of storms and signet of fire. as much as icebow was fun to use it was pretty broken on enemies with huge hitboxes.

i didn’t run drakes till recently probs why, but was quite a surprise having my HS blasted by it

it never accord to me 1 year later that the drakes tail swipe attack is also classed as a blast finisher? i only just noticed this 3 days ago after changing my ranger build, i cant be the only one to not notice this right?

its either gonna be a nice glass of whiskey or downing my sorrows with a bottle of vodka. :P

but on topic though i had a charr guard. but i hated him so a made a female norn instead. never regretted it

like alot of people are saying if you really want the legendary you will get it, been playing gw2 for about a year and finished my 5th and last (for now). end of the day you dont need to grind for it you can do other bits and bobs. the only grinding bits are the t6 and the dungeon gift. they are just very expensive

*2 try not to cry
*3 cry while sleeping
*4 play ranger.

Allow me to shed some light onto the issues and the lack of pride for us ranger players.

ranger has been a subject to alot of hate and flaws since release of this game 3 years ago. more and more people hate rangers, ive gone into dungeons with people via lfg and get kicked just because of the pure fact im a ranger. this will make some people say oh why dont you just get a guild etc.. i have. the bad rangers the ones who use lb while in melee or the ones who use PBS on champs (alot of the time) when the champ isnt either attacking them or doing something to make PBS stop the champ from doing something like healing or attacking give us good/decent ranger such a bad name to the point where the good ones get shunned and kicked from dungeons/fractals. i just think we complain because we are sick of being subpar with nothing to make use different other than a pet whose Ai might i add is pretty bad (should be getting a new one in HOT). dps ele and thief do it better rangers dont bring alot into parties other than a healing spring(if it wants to work) a prec buff which is okay but you need to be pretty close to get the benefit. if druid is amazing rangers will have faith again but till the release of it and a beta test its all smoke on the water for us rangers.

feel free to moan at me for saying this but this is just my opinion and others opinions on rangers. also you’re free to expand on any of my ramblings/points

Hi my names NOIP but im mostly known for my ranger name Alvorian (or Alvo for short).

i’m a 19 year old english semi hard-core player who is looking for a guild on the FSP side of gw2.(its just so i don’t have to move servers etc and miss out on doing some WvW with buddies)

Im mainly a PvE player but i do tend to hop into PvP now and then.

i have a fair amount of experience in dungeons and fractals (not gonna try to blow my own trumpet).

things i’m looking for in a guild

a friendly talkative bunch of people (im a shy person so if you have TS i’ll most likely not talk for awhile)

a active guild (im sure no one likes a semi dead/quiet guild )

things i don’t want in a guild

Elitists (yes i know we all hate them)

a guild only for english people. (diversity is good )

first forum post in general about guilds (since i got invited to a guild when first started playing gw2 via a friend)

If any additional information is needed feel free to whisper me,(don’t be alarmed if i don’t answer straight away i do what any good soul would do and AFK in LA)

Any other day i’d find this funny, but this week i can’t help but shed a tear knowing this is completely true.

im happy to see i wasnt the only one thinking of cele on ranger. since the hints of druid looking like a support elite spec for rangers makes me want to switch but i was worried i’d get hammered by the zerker only meta supporters. switching is alot easier now aswell since they made it possible to change ascended gear at the forge. the major issue about cele is you drop quite abit of offensive stats for abit of everything (nothing wrong with that since you get more defense in return). just if you plan on joining some dungeons most people (for some odd reason) like you to link your armor etc and if its not say zerker or something that gives some sort of high power or prec stats usually involves with you getting kicked. so my opinion is wait till we know more about HOT you never know they might change ranger abit.
