In raids you have limited time to beat boss, like 8min then he enrange and you will fail. So to success you need go for maximum damage (unless you play as healer, but again even as healer celestial wouldn’t be optimal) and for maximum damage you can’t play with celestial.
You best know what you play most. Using celestial outside of WvW is not optimal, even in WvW only for roaming and small fights. You can use celestial for casual running in open pve maps, but for anything else like fractals/dungeons/raids you shouldn’t use it.
You can go with Magi stats if you want for more healing, but no need to take Zaphyr’s Boon and Tempest Defense in air line. With Rev there will be 100% uptime of fury and for now in raid you will never be stunned or stun bosses. So Air should be 3-2-2
If we talking about pve, it is probably now possible to have around same dps with fresh air staff as normal fire staff. But you will use use LH too.

Elementalist even now before patch is dropping out of meta. In this week ESL pro league, of 70 players there was only 2 elementalist, and that 2 was in 2 bottom teams that lost all matches in pro league.
Or just give guild options to create their own map. For example portal from guild hall to new empty map that can only entered from that guild hall. They can even charge that portal 5-10 gold each time so people don’t exploit it on some way but still can use it when needed.

Are there any plans to change FRACTAL DAILIES?
FYI currently people only run swamps and molten duos to get their dailies done (56-67-77 or something like that) and there is absolutely no incentive to run anything else. I have only done lvl 100 Mai Trin once – and there is absolutely no point to run it again.
If those changes go through and the rewards are appropriate, this issue should fix itself as other scales will be more fun to play and are going to give more rewards than the 56-60-67 dailies we’re doing currently. If people just want their daily rewards, they’re still going to do those of course, but people will continue to run the easiest scales until you lock them into certain ones.
You get reward only from daily, but there is only one daily for 50+, do 3 fractals lvl50+, so you can do 51,52,53 and you will get same reward as doing 98,99,100

We were told that server status will be based on WvW population, is that working at all? There was been only one change on server status in few months since this change, and then nothing for months.
I don’t believe that Kodash as 8th ranked server have more people in WvW than Desolation that is first. But still Kodash is full and Desolation very high.
So why is Kodash locked for new people, and highest ranked servers are not?
So on what kind of data is decided what is server status, and how often that will be changed, for now there were only one change in months and then nothing.
In NA is little better, because all 4 highest ranked server are locked, but in EU only SFR is locked even if is not highest ranked server anymore and probably don’t have highest WvW population too. Then is Kodash as 7/8th ranked server locked. No logic at all.
You’re question was already answered. The opener determines the progress. Progress is saved individually.
It does however beg the question:
If a new guys starts the raid at wing with some friends 3 and beats the boss with a group, can he now also opt to start on wing 2, even though he’s never finished wing 1 or even played 2?
You will not need to finnish wing 1 to go in wing 2. It will just ask you on start what wing you want, like in dungeons ask you do you want go story mode or explorable.
The Druid is not going to replace Bunker Guardians. I explained it already in another thread, don’t really feel like double posting it. Long story short ~
- Druid has no party protections
- Druid has no big AoE CCs to stop stomps, secure stomps, defend itself in 2v1
- Druid has little to no STABILITY has no party STABILITY to secure/stop stomps
- Druid has no AoE party condi cleanse
- All of it’s healing is in Staff animations, which is easily interrupted, especially on a class that is going to have no peel, little to no stealth, little to no stability, LITTLE TO NO CONDI CLEANSE.

It won’t be able to stand on a point without being focused down 2v1 very easily.
Condition cleanse on Druid:
Glyph Alignment (celestial): Instead of applying conditions, heal allies and removes conditions from them very quickly (aoe 20s CD)
Seed of Life: Plant a seed on the ground, when it bursts it heals allies and cleanse conditions (aoe, remove 2 condition with 1s CD)
Traits:
Verdant Etching – Reduce recharge of your glyphs by 20% and every time you activate a glyph you plant a Seed of Life (so any glyph that you cast will remove 2 condition, aoe)
Druidic Clarity – Becoming a celestial avatar removes ALL conditions from you.
Grace of the Land – When you enter Celestial Avatar form, incoming condition damage is reduced by 33% for you and your allies.
That is a lot condition removal.
About big AOE CC:
Glyph of Equality: Daze, does a mass AoE interrupt within 300 radius
Glyph of the Tides: AoE knockback of 360 radius
Glyph of the Tides(in celestial): AoE pull, draw nearby enemies to you
Primal Echoes: daze enemies around you when you swap to staff

Soothing Power: It say it increase effectiveness of soothing mist for 200%, it only increase for 100%.
You don’t need stay in water, it tick for 9 sec even if you leave water. So when you need heal you go in water, get Soothing mist and other heals and leave water, after 9 sec if you still need heal you can enter water again so you refresh your Soothing mist again. With arcana attunment recharge will be 8.5 sec, so you can always refresh it if needed.

No, when you spend then that is it. Same as now with skill points, when you unlock some skill you can’t remove it anymore.
With celestial Soothing mist now tick 117 per sec. So with Soothing power that will be 351 per sec or 3510 heal if you leave water immediately. It is not bad, but is it worth to choose over Cleansing water, especially when there will be probably more condi builds after patch.

you got rolled in the first teamfight and zerged the rest of the match into outnumbered fights without ever regrouping. in addition, whoever was home needed help your team didnt give. whoever went far lost, and so should have done something besides starting far.

Focus on what you find fun, you should unlock skills/traits that you need and then get your gear by either crafting, buying from TP, buy with karma from temple. Getting exotic gear is not hard, it would be better to first get armor that you need and then go for skins and look that you like.

But arcane energy give around 40% endurance when use arcane power, so only once when you activate it.
fsg 4 dmg suck, not worth using for anything than running in wvw. Tornado not worth for anything.
Arcane energy and arcane power give 6 sec of vigor when you use skill, you can use it 5 times so with each crit, but it won’t renew your vigor, so if you use 5 fast attack you will get only 6 sec of vigor, if you attack then wait 6 sec, then attack again you will get vigor again if you have arcane power buff
There was never priority of any field, you blast field that was put first on ground.
It is now 4 months since new bug was introduced for Tequatl, every time if you dps more then 25% in burn phase he will bugged out, you will skip one laser defense phase, Tequatl will be invisible rest of fight, you can still aoe dps him but can’t target him, or remove stacks with cannons, timer will bugged soon too and stop. And when you kill him you will get one lest chest, depend in which phase he bugged.
Bug is easy reproduced, it happens every time when you dps more than 25% in burn phase, before he move. Any news about fix for this bug, it can be really annoying?
That is not god idea, often I wanna teleport on specific spot that is not always max distance.
Don’t know what option you use for targeting ground spells, but if you put for example “Fast with Range Indicator” you can hold your mouse/keyboard button and see if you are in range, when circle is green you instant port just with release your button, if it is out of range you will see red circle.

Lot’s people complain about some maps in soloQ, mostly Skyhammer. What we need is what some other games like sc2 have, option to choose one map that we don’t want play on. So before you join soloQ you can choose one map that will not be included in your games. That way everyone can be happy, for example, I can block Skyhammer in soloQ and all engis still can have thier fun there.

Staff build with lava is still best dps build in game, and most simple to use (some will say most boring). Most time you use just two skills fire 1 and 2, and blasts when of CD.
Yes, you will provide less might then S/D with LH, but on other side you have fire field 100% up, and if some of your party member sometimes blast in that fire field that should be more then enough with yours blasts.
With next patch all ascended armor will be account bound, so you can have only 3 sets and share them with all characters.
I still don’t know what will make staff ele OP in patch? 20% more healing to allies, everyone can put sigil that do same as that grandmaster trait, don’t forget that everyone except ele and engi geting big buff in sigils that will work now without shared CD and all classes can have 4 except ele and engi.
Stone heart can prevent some crit, but you still take normal dmg and condition, ele with low armor and low hp can’t just take dmg and stand in earth.
I don’t see it useful in any situation. Even in 1v1, you won’t blind every 5 sec, you can’t in fight apply burn exactly every 5 sec, you don’t have timer, so you must estimate when 5 sec pass, sometimes after 5 sec you will be in wrong attunment, or you will need to dodge, or heal, maybe you will be rooted, stuned, kb, out of range…. In average fight it will be good if you put blind every 7-8 seconds. It is just to much investment for that one blind.
Let look for example at Blinding Flash which traited have 8 sec CD and it is less investment then Blinding Ashes for probably same result.
So new traits are :
Fire: Blinding Ashes: Blind foes for 5 seconds when you burn them – cooldown 5s
Air: Lightning Rod – interrupting an enemy causes them to be stuck by a damaging lightning bolt that leaves them weakened (5s)
Earth: Stone heart – You cannot be critically hit while attuned to earth
Water: Aquatic Benevolence- your healing to other allies (not self) is increased by 25%
Arcane – Elemental Contingency- Gain a boon when you are stuck, based on your current attunement, coodown; 10 seconds. Fire: 3.5s of retaliation; air: 5 seconds of fury; Earth: 2.5s of protection; Water: 3 seconds of vigor
With new changes to sigils I have feeling that devs didn’t look what that change will be to elementalist compared with other professions. With new changes every other class will have 4 sigils to use, except ele and engi, because weapon swap. Until now that didn’t matter because sigils shared same cooldown but with new patch that will change and difference between having 2 sigil or 4 will be much bigger. Especially with that sigils will be buffed too, for example new sigil of purity – 60% chance to remove condition on hit, CD 10sec, that is basically removing condition every 10 sec. Someone will say we can use use sigil that proc on weapons swap when we change attunements but that sigils have internal CD of 10 sec so there no is advance from changing attunements then to swap weapons.
Second part is change to stack sigils, now we can use stack sigils like bloodlust to stack 250 power and then change to weapon with different sigil. They removing that, so you must have weapon with that sigil equipped all time or you will lose buff. But again it will hit elementalist (and engi) hardest, other classes still can use stack sigil and then just swap weapon, it is not so big problem to have one stack sigil in your second weapon when you have 4 sigils, and 2 always active, but when you can have only 2 sigils you will sacrifice lot if choose to have one of those two just for keep stack buff.

PVP get PVE version of trait/skill
To attempt to clear up some confusion: all outgoing heals from the elementalist will be increased by 25% for all receiving allies. Your outgoing regeneration is increased, your healing skills, your evasive arcana, your water blast finishers, etc. The trait will be offering an option to directly support your allies in this fashion.
This is not a pulse or aura like Battle Presence that increases everyone’s healing power, this trait directly affects the elementalist’s healing effectiveness based on their current healing ability.
I hope this helps clarify a bit.
It is little better that is 25% more healing, not just healing power. Still think it wouldn’t be to strong that 25% include elementalist too, not just your allies. But maybe other changes are so good so with that we would be OP
