I want to give the actual item to another alt of mine, not just the skin. The stats for both are identical, the kicker is you can only use 1 at a time, so I always have 1 sitting in my inventory, hoping that they’ll make them account instead of soul bound.

Could you make the event back items account bound? I have the Karka shell back on one alt, which is the same alt that has the Book for the Mad King. Both are soul bound, and since I can only use one at a time, one’s always sitting unused in my inventory.

That’s a QoL I’d like to see.

I completed the Rata Sum Tixx run a little bit ago, and spent a moment deciding which item, glue or stuffing, I wanted. In that time the leader of my party made it to the chest, clicked, and then quit, just as I was about to reach the chest.

At least myself, and possibly other party members lost out. Is there some reason we get booted out when the leader leaves? If someone stays in the zone and slows a party down, they can be booted from the party. I don’t a reason for the auto boot, or at least give us a little bit of time. So far this has only happened to me once, but I could see it easily happening again.

If you would like to buy me all the parts, I’ll gladly put one together.

Having just chanced across this… I think it would make sense for Asura to be marsupials, or at least marsupial like. That way, they don’t have to worry about pushing that gigantic noggin through a birth canal.

UPDATE: I swapped out Superior Rune of the Undead for the Major Rune of Mercy, and they “Dye Remover” error went away. It appears that in this case, it is the Major Rune of Mercy that is bugged.

Animals are made out of meat, which my sylvari thinks is delicious. Bacon is why he was brought forth from The Dream and lack of appreciation of bacon is why the Nightmare Court must be destroyed at all costs.

My thoughts:
So… the Consortium invades the home of a race of undersea horrors, the karka, causing unknown damage.

The karka then retaliate by attacking what they perceive to be the source of the attack on them, Lion’s Arch.

Lion’s Arch then retaliates by deforesting a section of the island, destroying the karkas’ egg nests, the actual eggs, we slaughtering them indiscriminately, and the whole thing ends with us killing the most ancient member of their race.

And we’re the good guys?

When you complete a zone, have the lettering change. Instead of having “Iron Marches” (for example) in gold letters with a black border, change the letters to all black, or blue, or something so that you can tell which zones you’ve completed at a glance.

My necro is my primary alt, and as I was finishing up a zone, my flesh golem, who I’ve taken to calling Forrest Gump, stood there scratching his belly while a band of 5 separatists took turns beating on me. Forrest has also been kind enough to aggro mobs while I’m trying to do a view, so that the view gets locked out, and he’s also brought friends to visit while I’m trying to harvest or mine. He was nice enough to ruin some Orichalcum for me.

Having fought a number of PvP battles in City of Heroes/Villains where you can choose to turn off opposite faction chat, it is fun. For every jerk who started in with the “kitten you kittening kitters!” talk, you had 20 people with “Well fought!”, “We’ll get you next time!”, “Hey so and so, let’s dual, who wants to be our seconds and keep people from interfering?”

I miss that sort of shared camaraderie, even if it was with my enemy. This seems to be yet another case of “there might be a jerk, so we better not include it”.

I like the ideas here.

Why let the Norn have all the fun with their keg games? Here’s a few ideas I have for other games:

Asura; we already know that they like to watch golems fight, so why not let us fight our golems in the golem arena? One possible approach is to build a golem with different parts, and then send it off to fight, either directly controlled, or possibly with programmed moves like Robo Rally

Charr; I’m picturing either flat out rugby, or something like lacrosse, but with grenade launchers.

Humans;… nothing pops to mind, but I’m sure someone has ideas.

Sylvari: a racing game, either team or single, across platforms, where you can trip, shove, etc. your opponents.

I have the same thing with my set of Briar Leggings. I had a set, merged them with my new, better armor, and moved my Major Rune of Mercy over.

After living with this bug a few weeks, and hitting 400 in tailoring, I made myself a pair of Knight’s Exalted Leggings, and bought another pair of Briar Leggings. Merged them, and was able to color them just fine.

Then I broke down my old Briar Leggings of Carrior of Mercy (I think that’s what they were) and moved the Major Rune to my new Leggings. BAM! Instead of the lower left being selectable, I get “Dye Remover”.

I’ve reported this twice as well.

I did, and then my flesh golem ran off, aggroed a mob, and 2/3rds of my Ori was junk. Either let us set our pets aggressions levels, which I’d love as my flesh golem will stand there and watch me take a pounding, or run off while to start a fight while I’m trying to travel, or ditch this bug.

They lack the ability to reproduce but not the ability to have sex. It’s been confirmed, as far as I’m aware, that they do indeed have bits that work.

Can’t remember where this is, it’s in human area, but there’s a sylvari working at a winery, and he’s drunk. Talking to him with my sylvari he says something about me being a female sylvari, and when I correct him, he says" …I can’t tell my pistils from my stamens". Which are the reproductive parts of plants. So yeah, sylvari have bits.

I have to say I totally agree. For the first 20 levels, I felt like a member of an alien race, and culture. The further I got into the story though, the further I felt like I was moving into “human in a funny outfit” territory. I stopped feeling like a sylvari, and more like “generic hero #2”. Being introduced to Trahearne, long after I met him, having the sylvari I helped rescue from Orr when she had her mishap with the magic mirror not remember me saving her life, and other instances like that really break the immersion.

It took me about 2-3 hours to finally get to the end, if you quit that’s just your fault. After you make it once it’s incredibly easy to do it again.

I’ll tell you what, you and I will have a car race, with the following conditions: I get to paint your windows black. If you wreck, well then, that’s your fault.

If my camera goes wonky, and I can’t see the path up the tower, I don’t see how that’s my fault; I didn’t design the camera for this game. Like many things in life, there’s rarely a simple, single answer to the issues people are having.

Really getting tired of all the “it was easy for me, what’s your problem” attitude among the player base. What’s easy for one person isn’t necessarily so for another.

Don’t feel bad about making some frustrated with the tower. People will always be frustrated with something! I think many people loved the tower. I for one, loved the tower. That said, it was too hard for me, and I did give up eventually. I think you did a great job with the design of it. Cheers

Agreed. My issue was with the camera. No matter where I put it, how far I was zoomed in or out, it went wonky on me. I’d get to the first pause point, and when the new steps would spawn, off my camera would go zoomed into my left shoulder and by the time I’d zoom out, there was the green goo.

I’m at 9/10 activities, and I don’t know which one is missing, thought I did them all :/

I don’t expect it to be easy, I also don’t expect that a jumping puzzle will shove my camera view into my right shoulder at the same point every time I try to do it. For the curious, it’s right after you spend several seconds on the flat gear waiting for the next section to spawn. Once it spawns, my camera goes up my kittening kitten shoulder and all I can see is my own hollow self.

So no, for me, not a fun event. There’s other things to do, so I’ll do them.

Agreed; my guild is smaller (about 12 of us) but the limit of 5 still means we’re split up on our guild team up days.

City of Heroes has the league; this is a group of up to 6 full teams that have their own chat channel like a party does, and all members appear on the map. Being able to league up our guild would be great.

The story is fine, I can live with Trahearne being cast the Great Leader and all while I go out and do the dirty work.

But like the OP, I’m sylvari. I know Trahearne already. I helped save the ditzy young sylvari from the mirror. I did lots of things, that frankly don’t seem to matter, because the people I did them with don’t remember them.

It’s hard to feel heroic when the person that I saved from being devoured by Risen Spiders doesn’t remember me.

I have but one thing to say to that, good sir.

I chose Byblys, because Byblis was already taken. I picked it because is sounded similar to byblos which is Greek for papyrus (I thought it appropriate for a scholar class) and byblis is a variety of carnivorous plant, which I thought appropriate for a necromancer.

As has been pointed out, Shield of the Moon is about a heterosexual pair. I don’t remember which NPC says this, he’s in one of the 15-25 zones (I think) and is involved in wine making, but mostly wine drinking… and he called my male Sylvari female. When I corrected him, he said something to the effect of “I’m so drunk, I can’t tell my pistols from my stamens”. So yeah, as per the lore, Sylvari have sexual organs.

That said… at no point have I encountered a story where my male Sylvari is told to go rescue his boyfriend. As far as I am aware, my Sylvari’s orientation is up to me. Does he encounter homosexual Sylvari? Well yeah, he considers Caithe a friend. Does he care about that her beloved is female? No, he cares more about the fact that she’s fallen to Nightmare and is a bad person.

I don’t see my character being “forced” into any relationships against his, or as his player, my will. Homosexuals exist, in game and IRL, and either way I don’t really care. My characters orientation is my choice, and just because an NPC or another player made a different choice for their character, has no impact on me.

TL;DR version: unless the devs are saying <female character> your are now the new girlfriend of Caithe/<male character> you are now the boyfriend of the Green Knight, what’s the big deal? You aren’t being forced into anything.

The norn woman near the way point who says “Take heed!… blah blah blah” makes me want to throw something at her. It appears that every PC or NPC that walks by her triggers this, and she’s near a very busy waypoint. How about moving her farther off, or giving us the ability to turn off non-cutscene NPC dialog, because if I never “Take heed!” of her again, I’ll be a happy camper.

It took me 4 tries, but I managed to beat him. In the last one, he’d go invulnerable, but only for a few moment. Keep trying, and hopefully you’ll succeed.

This bug really sucks.
