I just crafted my ascended armor, it has one defensive slot. How do I get offensive slot in armor and accessory? They both have only defensive… >.<

Hi, I am starting to play engi with 6/6/0/0/2 build with pistol/shield for dungeons and rifle for PvE. Always with full zerker (exotic) gear with Eagle runes.
I need some suggestion for pistol/shield sigils, I was thinking to put Sigil of Battle on shield, and what about pistol?
And on rifle I’m running Bloodlust and Force sigils (I think these are ok? >.< )

This is how I see/think housing should be:
Everything should start from a task. According to your race, this task will take place in a specific map of Shiverpeaks, Ascalon, Kryta, Maguuma and it could consist in being sent to kill a Son of Svanir/Nightmare Court/Inquest/Flame Legion Leader with all his/her ads around. It should be a level 80 only task, only soloable in an instanced area. So that whole housing could turn into a possible end-game content, to give players at 80 something to do.
Once you defeat the enemies you are left with some ruined place and the terrain around it. There you will be given the chance to re-build the building, choosing among a few samples…but choosing/buying the house won’t give the house itself, it will give a sort of recipe. Let’s say xxx amount x wood, xxx amount y wood, xxx amount ore, (could as well add a stone ore for the matter), only once you gathered/bought all of the mats you will finally have your house, that will always be in the instanced place but that will now allow people in a party with you to come inside to roleplay/watch/whatever.
With it, it should definitely be added some more crafting abilities, let’s say one to create furnitures and one to create home-objects. The house can be featured, expanded, as the player pleases but everything will take an amount of materials not simple gold, like “buy wall 50s”, more like “to build wall: 250 elder wood planks”. Some daily event could as well be added to the instance home, where some enemy comes to try to kill you, where someone in difficulties comes to seek for help against someone/something and it could also be added a merchant, selling unique items that can only be bought there.
Something like this, in my thoughts, that could keep some interest in the players for at least some time, not something that everyone can get after 20 minutes from release and be done and bored with it within the next two hours..

Considering everything is Megaserver except WvW, my only suggestion is this: for your own good, if you will decide to ever go for map completion, pick the server that is the strongest in WvW if you want to have a hope to achieve that, in decent amount of time and less stress.

Make the profession you like and just take the shield. It is bad for every profession, so just use it in PvE when you are on your own and no one can annoy/insult you (So, not in dungeons).

Asura sized Charr, talking female Sylvari lines whether you make them male or female, wearing Norn cultural and whose leader and father is Logan.

Or let us put them into MF to give back some absoultely randomized item that could be something good, more junk etc.

The only (useless) item in this game that can be achieved by showing some (very little) skill on gem store? You got to be joking.

I think it would be great to have all this implemented for I completely agree the whole customization lacks way too much, even with new faces and hairstyles added fairly often, since as soon as a new cool hairstyle/face is added, normally most of the players immediately pick those ones and it becomes a new clones war. A few accessories would definitely be a win in this matter, and completely agree about make up too. I’m sick how you can either choose the face features or make-up or if having a scar, it’s ridiculous.

Risk/Effort/Time/Reward wise, EotM is above everything else. Tons of: XP, Karma, raw money, champion boxes, wvw ranks, and in both mine and my sister’s experience an higher chance to drop Ascended boxes and trinket compared to any PvE (except FotM). Worse risk is to wipe and have to pay nothing to repair your armor, then farm all over the map again. You need just to spam 1 for real. In the time I make 1k Badges of Honor (Which can provide me full armor sets (zerkers) for barely any money compared to what I would need to pay to buy them from TP, and weapons) I am lucky if I get 400 tokens scattered among different dungeons which won’t even allow me to have the required armor piece immediately, because I end up with like 120 from TA, 120 from HotW etc, with random different stats.
I am expecting a nerf to strike EotM so hard, farm till you can!

I absolutely second this! We had “Do not disturb” status in Gw1, I really don’t see why we can’t have it back. What if I am doing something and I don’t want anyone to annoy me with requests to join here and there, but still want to be able to see what’s going on in my guild?

AP is the dumbest possible way to measure anyone’s skills. And it’s getting so kitten that you see people claiming to exclude others on lower aps, where you see stuff like “2500k+ only!!!!” “3521k only!!!!” lol…seriously…
AP means for the most that player has been grinding, Wvw-pvp-living story-daily-monthly. WTB someone to explain me how someone who killed 1000 skales and got 1000 kills with a harpoon gun is to be preferred to someone who runs only dungeons all the time, thus has lower achievement points.
But seriously, after being asked my FotM lvl as a requirement for Arah, I suppose I saw everything.

Did a TA run with a friend, said everyone welcome, it was not meant to be a speedrun but more of a teaching run. Dude joins and keeps calling people noobs. I personally send a kick request.
My sis joined a team asking for 80s zerkers only, joins with her zerker warrior (lvl 80), gets kicked right away for having just 2k achis (which are because she bought a separated account from mine just lately. We used to play together on mine) despite there was no mentioning for min achievements.
Morale of the story, never expect people to read, don’t expect people to stick to what they request and expect scum of every kind. And most of all! When you join a gearcheck team always claim the dude(s) who made the lfg tag their own armors as well because very likely they themselves do not match what they request and this is one thing that kittenes me off beyond belief.

Would probably still stay as the main and best, even when nerfed to the ground, until they realize the solution is to make other builds viable by reworking mobs’ AI.

The only ones I report because they 100%x100000000 exploits are those (99% of times a thief) who go “Teach AC p1 solo, thief/mesm/ele only you will earn xxxxxxxgoldsxrun!!!” and it would really be sweet if ANet took care of them, honestly.

I have male human, I won’t convert him but I can only agree on the fact females look way better on every point. They have better hair choices, way better designed body while males’ look like total plastic.. -.-

This. If people are to be punished for wanting a run to go smooth, claiming only people with meta builds and confirmed best stats currently available to join, then whoever joins a team with said specific requests, without matching those requests, should be double-punished for such lack of brain.

I can’t be on twenty four hours a day and I don’t belong to, or want to be forced to join, a large guild that can invoke the world bosses. Also, smaller guilds still struggle with the insane costs for most of these unlocks – we’re already forced to join larger guilds just to play some of the game’s content and access the rewards.

So, I guess I can summarise it with two questions:
1) When will smaller guilds be able to do… anything?
2) Why do I always get the short straw with every update?

This is what I wonder as well, but apparently in this game big guilds are their solution for everything. Pugs are bad? Join a big guild! Events fail? Join a big guild! Need help with a SP, don’t you dare ask in map! Join a big guild!
There is no place for smaller guilds, no balance to make them as useful as uber huge ones (Which by the record, also prevents smaller ones to recruit and try to grow. As long as “400+, 150+ online at any time” will be around recruting, I don’t see what a small guild with 15-20 members with max 2 online at every time can do to be more appealing than those.)

Yes but how ’’legendary’’ is a weapon as soon as everyone has it… I mean not only will Sunrise/Twilight skins become more common but also the skins of all the other legendaries, as people with sunrise and twilight can get 2-3 for those for nothing pretty much.

WAIT! When did legendaries actually become legendary? I must have lost this bit because as far as I know, more than the useless, tedious grind or throwing up your credit card, you just need a couple of hours of mindless WvW zerging to get it done.
Anyhow, the very fact these weapons can be sold and purchased make your whole thread rather useless really…
Plus, I believe those who actually get Eternity don’t do it just because they like both Sunrise and Twilight, but because they want to show up they got more than that. Otherwise they’d get just Sunrise really.

It is a cool theory…but it’s also just the same one theory brought up in different forums whenever a patch+sale on char slots are on. I suggest you don’t get your hopes too high.

Skipping is not wrong, it’s obviously meant as a part of the dungeon itself, if you take for exaple places where mobs endlessly re-spawn (Arah p1 oozes) And if I have to say it all, (Proven also by how many complains and how people hate these, for not being able to do them) they are probably the only and most challenging content one is to learn in this game. (Untill one learns them by heart having to run same paths for almost 2 years, and they become easy as well)

[TbR] The Black Raven Court is a newly formed (a wee bit gothic themed), fresh, very new-players-friendly guild just born in Gandara Server (EU).
Its leaders are exrtremely experienced players who have been playing since the early access to the game (Beta Weekends) and who have a big will to share their experience and knowledge with new players, teach them about any side of the game, including professions, dungeons, map exploration…
Another goal our guild has is to welcome all those players who enjoys a more Roleplaying approach to the game. (It’s what we love!)

The objectives of our guild in brief, in the short term:
- Create an appealing, friendly, polite, helpful community, with who grow together;
- Unlock all of the guild missions in the most effective and quick way possible to allow our members to enjoy even this side of the game and to help collecting some easy shinies;
- Make sure new players will find a peaceful and friendly environment where to gather all of the information they will need to master the game and enjoy it fully;
- Give Roleplayers like us the chance to meet other roleplayers and create amusing new stories together.
The objectives of our guild in the long term:
- Become an affirmed big guild, expanding more towards WvW and PvP sides of the game;
- Make more friends;
- Obtain the respect of the whole server.

Even if newly created, our guild has a rather neat/particular organization: (Since we love RP, our ranks reflect this passion of ours) Our Leader and creator of the guild is the Countess; new players as they will join will be classified as “Villagers” for the first three days. Why? Because after the three “trials” days, they will be called to make a choice: become official members of the guild, being upgrated to the rank of “Courtiers”, or they will simply be allowed to leave, if they didn’t like their staying (Didn’t like the environment, didn’t find us to be helpful enough, or simply didn’t like us). Our officiers are our “Knights”, in spirit and behaviour, only the most honorable members can hope for such a position. Another particular rank we have is “External ally”. It is given to a few allies from other guilds that may come to visit from time to time. They will not be classified as real members of the guild, thus they are not meant to represent, but neither they will benefit nor be allowed to take part in our inner events. There will be a maximum of 5. (New ranks may be added as the time goes by.)
Our rules might sound strict, but they are to make sure that everyone will enjoy their staying in the guild and to keep a clean, appealing, friendly environment:
- Respect above all; No kind of hate speech will be tollerated in our guild chat (Insta kick if offending a specific religion, culture etc…You got the point)

Ahahahah you dude don’t run dungeons with pugs often and mostly not at night! Like 3/4 times I get people leaving team even when I state I am going to guest a server where it’s open, think if they’d even guest your server or any other server to help you do the event! Maybe if you got 4 friends to do this stuff with, otherwise, please don’t talk nonsense, it offends yourself.

What I’d say is that these events should stop triggering at night. Where it’s not this much of a bother to guest a server to enter the dungeon, at that time you’ll find NO server where the dungeon is open.
Everyone who has to run dungeons at 2-3 am (Like me in some periods) knows what I am talking about.
It’s even a miracle to fill a team, and you have to see everyone leave because it’s impossible to enter and there is not enough people in the whole map to succeed them.

I think it will only make people less kittened off whenever a wipe might occur, since they won’t have to pay anymore their gold for others’ incompetence. Loss of time and mobs resetting is annoying enough in a dungeon to create uber elitism, I am seeing this as a way to calm it down even if extremely little.

The only complaint I have about that is that these events are an uber pain when you have to do some heart too close (Like in Kessex hills sometimes) and with a low lvl char, for they are way too unbalanced for the level they are supposed to be.

They know perfectly of this issue and over one year ago a dev that no longer works with them said it was being worked on…but we all are pretty much losing hope that this will be fixed any time soon…

Personally, I was against dyes being account bound before today. Since I read the news I was excited. I still remain excited and can’t wait for the update now, I am truly eager for it to come!
I don’t know about the others, but my guessing is that, initially they are all hyped and excited, then they start to see others’ worries and it’s like they absorb them as their own, resulting in the change of attitude towards the thing in object…
