Haven’t played gw2 much since last year and bought greatsaw and ghastly right before i left. I learned my lesson from runescape about party hats and knew they would increase in price

I don’t understand how some people don’t have 100+ gold if they have been playing since beta. I have 2000g right now and have equipped 5 characters with exotics. Game has been out for over a year if you saved 2g a week you will have 100g in savings now

I would fully expect either all the rewards to be basically the same for people or perhaps a very slight increase to those who finished in higher spots.

Imagine this, suppose Anet decided to give an ascended to the winner, how exactly does it make the rest of the servers/players feel who have absolutely no chance in winning?

Spoken like a true pve er. These rewards where for pve players more then wvw players. If your so censure with reward you realty should rethink playing wvw or any type of pvp game these type of games are more about build in reward of wining a week or beating a group or a person.

First of all I play wvw on Blackgate everyday
It applies for both pve and pvp and hell even for real life. I play much more wvw that pve and simply being ok with every piece of hapless crap they put out is disrespectful to yourself. If you’re a company that wants to be the best you have to put effort and quality in everything you do. I wasn’t expecting an ascended weapon, but at least like a skin for something. They spent hundreds of hours designing skins for their gem store and countless hours finding voice actors for the personal story, but decided to redistribute already created content for an aspect for their game .There are many games that reward pvp very well

I am rewarded enough every day from stomping zergs and making nerds rage quit. If that is not reward enough for you then maybe wvw isn’t for you. We all saw what the rewards were from the wvw rank up chest did you really expect anything different. I truly hope the people complaining about the rewards are not real wvw players and are the achievement hunters that came to wvw to make sure they got the rewards.

In that case why didn’t they just give everyone the reward. They instead hyped up the season and said rewards at the end of the season and disrespected the players that play everyday. Even a person that cares about their playerbase would spend a little more time in considering the rewards of hard work pve or pvp

when the season ends and I get the chest for my server what happens if I don’t get the key by the then. I returned to gw2 like a few days ago and am trying to do these achievements like a madman. But if i don’t get the key by december 6th is it game over for me?

I’ve recently began playing again after a few months break to be pleasantly surprised by the current price of Halloween skins. I rage quit on building a legendary around halloween so I bought up skins (own about 10-15 of each) Just in the week I’ve been playing Ive noticed huge fluctuations in the prices. Are they due to make a return this year? I’m not sure if I should be holding onto them still or converting some into gold in the coming weeks? Any advice on the issue would be much appreciated.

I think your best bet is to go with 1/2 hammer warriors and 1/2 staff necros and maybe a few confusion mesmers. This setup is nearly unstoppable.

Well that requires the warriors to get up close with no support boon spammers helping them. Say 10 staff gc eles all use #5 fire skill on the group on the ram all at the same time. I think it will destroy whoever is down there

Is it a good idea? Maybe 15-20 guys(Preferably Thieves, Eles, Mesmers, Necros)Ranged people all with gc spec busting zergs

I was also there, as was my guild at that time. There was like 20k difference between first and third midway through the week. To this day that is still one of my favourite match ups. Never die are an amazing guild. Jq are in for a treat once the newly stacked bg gets back into t1

To be honest, I don’t care about Tier 1. I think I speak for Kaineng when I say that nobody in the server does want to go to Tier 1. We are happy in Tier 2 and the fighting is a lot more competitive here. We like fighting Blackgate and TC. Soon to be our new rival, Fort Aspenwood as well.

Kaineng is a beautiful place and a lot of the guilds here communicate with each other and are very friendly. All the WvW transfer guilds (CO/RUN/TL/KO/RISE/etc.) work well with the native players & guilds on the server. If anything we’ve tried building server unity with upcoming server VoIP which just got set up a few days ago and building a community server forums (www.kainengserver.com). The server had neither before T1-3 guilds transferred into Kaineng about 1.5 months ago.

We’ve been on the server for almost 2 months now. So, I think most people would agree we’ve fought for Kaineng and have the right to call it our home as well. It’s beautiful because nobody on Kaineng wants to leave it and everyone who has moved here has grown fond of it. Thanks for the good questions, happy to answer them.

In reference to Isaac.6041 – We don’t believe we should buy any guilds. If a guild would like to look for another home and transfer they should raise the funds to do so themselves. There is a certain lack of respect for servers that “buy” other guilds. Sure there are many, many rumors out their that other servers are doing it. So let them if it is true. We choose to be different.

T2 is alot more fun than t1 imo less about coverage

The price of gems has been confirmed to be completely controlled by ArenaNet, who confirmed it, ArenaNet, in a previous post in this forum. I don’t know if the number of people purchasing gems has anything to do with it.

It depends on the supply of each. But still, I believe it’s not gonna go up for a few months.
It’s your choice to hold it and try to sell later, or sell now and reinvest assuming your loss. If you don’t need that money badly and have bank space, let it sit there.

Ok this is serious advice, I would hold onto it just for the chance of getting your money back I don’t believe in panic dumping it because it purely guarantees loss. I’ve had this happen to me before and just wait abit if it gets to a good amount like 6s dump it. Don’t make such hasty decisions next time

Hi all, got the game for Christmas and am completely new to guild wars. Must say I am loving the game so far except for one thing.

I find myself character hoping ALOT, I simply cannot find a profession that really excites me yet.

So far I have tried every profession and quickly change because there is something I don’t like about them. I want to level and focus on WvW (hense why I posted in this section).

But anyway on point, what I am really asking is if anyone can advise me on a class that would closest match these criteria?

- Condition damage based.
- Can take a bit of damage and not just get one shotted by everything.
- Ranged class.
- Not have alot of AoE that I would need to activate then aim at the ground (more bounce attacks or cone based attacks would be fantastic).
- Not have pets.

So far the professions that appealed to me most have been:

Ranger, Engineer, Necromancer, Thief and Mesmer

I prefer the ranger most of all because of the shortbow but I really hate the pets that I need to use.

Engineer would so far be my perfect class with the dual pistols but the whole thing where I need to throw elixirs at the ground to buff things etc is just not for me. That bored the hell out of me doing that.

I am still leaning towards the engineer at this point but I want to know if anyone out there can help me. Is there a build for an engineer that doesn’t need to throw all those elixirs around?

Ok so just a few guilds recently transferred to jq from sbi ecause sbis main oceanic guild war machine left the servers we all but black gate know what Happened there we were getting stomped at night in us . And seeing jq was lacking American time people it was decided . We just enjoy the now that he servers reset and guilds can’t hop things will even out SMOKEE the ballistas in the corn field were just a glimpse of what we do . We enjoy fighting HB guild alot thought our max number is usually 15 I love seeing what you guys are bringing to the table . Please don’t drop tiers cause we would miss you keep up the good fight

T2 is more fun imo less worrying about the score

We have all been on the receiving end of an overwhelming force. We have all been “camped” at our spawns one time or another. We have all felt bored, because the matchup was going too well in our favor or completely against us. We have all suffered, at one time or another, from long queues. The WvW ranking system is not broken. The servers with the most skilled and dedicated players will move their way up the ladder while others will suffer defeat (this is by no means a boastful statement).

Throughout the history of GW2, so far, many guilds have changed servers for one reason or another creating an uneven playing field. SoR has fought tooth and nail to achieve its goal of reaching Tier 1. SoR has spent more time in any single position than any other server, at least in the past eighteen weeks of recorded rankings: http://mos.millenium.org/matchups/evolution/na. SoR spent eleven weeks in 5th place where eight of those weeks were spent trying to overtake BG. BG however, was able to finally push to T1, because they had much stronger Oceanic coverage. Our dedicated NAs acquired us the needed points to secure 5th and not fall below that position during our time against BG, until their Oceanic forces made a final push and their NAs defended with everything they had to allow them to ascend into T1.

SoR realized an opportunity was before us to secure a spot in T1, and we have amassed our forces to take claim to our rightful position in the top 3. I am very satisfied with the improvement of our guilds, and I enjoy fighting along side the old Rallians as well as the new. My initial reaction to some of the newer guilds was less than positive to say the least, but I am pleased to say that many of them have proved my initial concerns wrong.

There will be hard times to come for SoR and TC. As SoR moves up, we will be faced with two worthy opponents, which will most likely be SoS and JQ. As SoR leaves T2, TC will have one new and one old opponent.

To both TC and SBI, don’t give up the fight. Each new fight brings needed experience for perfecting our skills in WvW. Like I said before, I am excited to see PINK improving. They are slowly moving from a force that I used to mock to a more formidable force. You all have put up some good fights so far, but don’t let SoR’s point lead get in the way of your goals. Never give up, but keep on fighting.
