Thief is a great class. I wouldn’t bother reading the forums about balance, very few people understand the game to great depth and will moan over the smallest of changes.
If you like the idea of thief, go for it!

The day people learn the counter to necro is through active mitigation and control, not through condi cleanse…..
My guard beats them without running 20 in valour. My s/f ele beats them with one condi removed every 10 seconds. That should say it all really <3

I can’t say I’ve seen the same, I’ve always found that necro is a very easy focus during small fights and it’s only team fights that it’s possible to peel correctly and allow them to kite.
Personally I wouldn’t rate necromancer very highly, I think it takes a very good player to be effective, which simply isn’t true for a lot of classes at this point in time.

I 100% agree with the lock before signing up, personally I believe it should be build and class locked.
It provides a far better meta if people have to guess and build for possible setups. Rather than just switching to hard counters.

Personally I solo/duo/trio queue in team queue. I place in the top 200 regularly, with my overall win rate being around 55%. Nothing is shown by this. The fact that people in this game have upwards of 80% win ratios shows how flawed and inactive team arena actually is.
As I said, I do not believe anyone who thinks this system has any reflection on player ability should be taken seriously.

As soon as someone mentions leaderboard ranking or win/loss ratio, personally I disregard their opinion as to me it shows that they themselves have very little understanding.
Things like the class you play, how frequently you’ve been in a team and as others have mentioned how often you play – as playing less is actually beneficial to your leaderboard rank.

There are so many things wrong with the above statement.
1. It is a fire field that in addition burns, deals high direct damage and is also twice the size of most capture points.
2. If you honestly fire your projectile – which only has to make contact with the ground to take effect – through your enemy, then shame on you.
3. To be upset that such a potent skill has counters be this one near impossible to achieve if the warrior is competent, shows the true lack of risk vs reward involved in playing a warrior.

It’s an OK skill, I think it’d be outright useless if it was changed though. It’s quite easy to deal with when comparing to other elites.

Just because someone is new, doesn’t mean they should be effective at high-levels, just because a team is lacking power based cleave. This is the whole point in having a working MMR system, so less skilled players are matched with those of equal skill.
If you want something easy to run, look toward classes that are easy to start off on, such as Warrior or Guardian.

Basically, certain classes have too much of everything, these being for the most part eles, warriors and thieves? That’s what I got from quickly skim reading this.

It would actually be very easy to include people from the top ranks, if the top ranks were only players who played actively and did not jump people back up to their ranks prior to any decay.
The system is so badly flawed, I honestly don’t understand how you can come up with such a system.

While they’re at it they could also stop the match window from appearing instantly after you click ‘Wait’ and instead ask you at set intervals – e.g. 2 minutes, 1 minute and then 10 seconds.

I don’t think any damaging skill should be instant or unavoidable. Dodging needs to be toned down on classes like S/D to provide actual counter play.

Lich is really strong, but I think it’s about the only reason there is for Necromancers to run power builds. Personally I like it and find it fun to kill a lich, especially as they’re locked out of their heal and utilities.

Arenanet cares about the imbalance it will bring. Furthermore a of players will care about he imbalance it will bring and you know why? Because contrary to what players on the forum think, the 10 or 20 people that post here do not represent the 100 people that PvP.
History has shown that a lot of people do not know what they want and the imbalance will not be accept just because it comes with a new mode. The complains will switch from moar new modes to how ARenanet broke their game or how Arenanet did not balance 2v2/3v3 or whatever reason players can dream up to complain about something. The point being nobody not even yourself will be happy about a terrible 2v2/3v3 imbalance map and as usual the ones asking for it will conveniently forget that they were the ones spent the last 2 years whining and claiming not to care about the imbalance it a new game mode will create.
Despite you undeniable reasoning for every claim you made. More variety means alternative play styles who may not find theirs in conquest.

Honestly, I have no problem with endure enabling someone to maintain a capture, especially as to maintain true immunity they must use both endure and berserker which ensures certain death afterwards provided against a some what coordinated team.
I do still hold the belief that berserker stance simply lasts too long, even if it were given a shorter cooldown and reduced in duration.

The current problem with conditions is that certain classes are apply to maintain huge up time on a wide variety of conditions making it next to impossible to deal with, none of which require skill or timing, often single button presses.
I feel certain conditions should be easy to apply and therefore easy to remove, however condition specs can then apply conditions such as burning and torment to punish those who are lacking cooldowns or support.

I’d like to see if the community is really where commitment lies within ArenaNet. Understandably this needs to be done quickly, so other things need to be pushed forward as well, so that we as players can maintain the same momentum as those at ArenaNet.

I would like a MMR system similar to dota. It scales with how active the player base is and prevent users from getting too far from those with lower MMR.
As they stand the leaderboards are something which simply causes frustration. Personally I don’t think this game should have a rated solo queue at all, only team queue.

Bunker relies heavily on your team understanding rotations. It’s safe to say that the majority of players will not know how to do this.
The best carries are those with high mobility and the ability to win fights.
The ultimate carry is a good thief.

A simple MMR system, which updates at the end of the match, showing you, your team and your enemy’s MMR and then your increase/decrease would do wonders for this game.
