It’ll be fine….
“I collecting Black Lion Chests to sell on the Trading Post to buy my Tier 3 cultural armor.”
Maybe they should…
Make an Exotic <thing> a build component of an Ascended <thing>.
Make an Ascended <thing> a build component of an Legendary <thing>.
That way dungeon running for Exotics is very valid.
FYI
Ascended is below Legendary.
Exotic —> Ascended —> Legendary
Ah re-read the article.
“Players will be able to acquire Ascended Rings in the Fractals of the Mists dungeon, and Ascended items worn on the back can be acquired through special Mystic Forge recipes.”
Its just Rings and Back items at the moment. So running vanilla dungeons for gear is still valid.
I think that’s a great observation.
I have been running dungeons trying to afford a nice set(s) of 80 exotics. Some dungeons are fun while others are just annoying. I would not be surprised if it affects the vanilla dungeons attendance.
Although atm we know very little of “ascended gear” so lets hope ANET is doing things right.

Thanks for the answers!
Is it possible to hide/disable/turn off the map completion medal icon by you name?
Is there a way to turn it off or are you stuck with that target me first icon by your name?
100% map completion icon show on enemy players?
YES! Additionally I am eagerly anticipating unannounced upcoming world events, festivals, the new content, etc.
Great Game!
I watched every single one of them at least once, sometimes even more.
Although I do wish the floating vista icon would go away when viewing them.
The dye time-line…
Truly a sad story….
“Should Guild Wars 2 have less waypoints?”
No.
but they also need an UNDERFLOW server system.
Wow that is a fantastic idea!
Toss that over in the suggestions when you get a chance.
The Krait are horrible.
I am hearing allot of issues about the difficulty of the dungeons. All players are not created equal in the terms of skill. Additionally not all players find easy/hard fights fun.
Why not just add a way to change the difficulty?
After voting for the path just vote on how difficult the path will be. Obviously the rewards should scale with the difficulty.
This allows the community to experience the content at a pace they enjoy. It also allows PUGS a better chance. Not every one has an extra 4 friends that that sync well together.
GW2 is meant to be fun for all, even PUGS.
I am also in the “WP cost to much” boat.
If I make the effort to go to and stand DIRECTLY under a Waypoint then the asura should’ve been smart enough to make it so I can pop anywhere else at free or reduced charge…
This is a fantastic idea!
Please allow us to purchase a Universal Multitool Pack (Engineer starting backpack) from a merchant.
I recently made and Engineer and selected the Panscopic Monocle during the creation. Many levels later I am wondering if I will ever be able to get my hands on something like the Universal Multi-Tool.
Does anyone know how to acquire a backpack?
I personally feel the air attunement on the staff is lacking a little in the impact it has. I consider myself an Air dominant elementalist and very much enjoy running with daggers, scepters and the focus. I even rotate though the elements but I spend most of my time in Air.
The problem comes when I am wielding the staff and pop on Air. I feel a bit sad as it feels most of [staff-air] powers are very dependent on the situation or maybe the just don’t meld well. I may cast one power and then switch attunements with the feeling of why did I even pop into air in the first place.
Maybe I am just spoiled by the dagger and scepter.
What do you all think? Does anyone else feel the air attunement on the staff is lacking a little something?
To use an example I ran a SE (Storymode) recently and for the first time. One fight stood out to me so much there I had to laugh at the absurdity. In the Kudu boss encounter my team and I were again forced away from each other because of AOE bouncing between us, and other AOE effects targeted on individuals hurting anyone near them. After a few wipes I decided like some of my other teammates to just stop trying to help one another completely, just tank what aggro you get, heal yourself, and dps when you can in between those… Encounter success!
IMO That is the very definition of team work. You saw the problem of the AOE, figured out a solution and implemented a strategy as a team to be successful. At least that’s how a read your example.
How about a transmutation stone that allows transmutation across profession and cultural gear?
If the Guardian can pull out a book and read mid combat then a Mesmer could defiantly whip out a harp.
Yes that’s right! A single key press just so I can dance.
Everyday I’m Shufflin….
Overall it just feels that the income ratio and travel costs when your around level 25 vs the income ratio and travel costs around 60 is off.
At least for me at level 56 the ratio of coin’s earned and travel costs just seem very off comparing my play style back to when I was in the 20’s.
It’s just frustrating when you start weighing the cost of travel when a friend pops on over in Snowden Drifts and you just ran to Sparkfly Fen.
Frustrating != Fun
I agree with the OP about WP costs.
Which is why when playing with friends I use lower level alt and have them follow me around!
…toggle mouselook option….
This please! My hand will thank you for the lack of cramping.
I am walking now too.
Personally I do hope this is an oversight and it gets corrected.
Maybe the Kodan racial elite skill is to turn into a Norn!
Personally I have hope for Tengu and Hylek.
…weapon swap when “out of combat” …
I would also like to see this. For the Engineer as well. Please.
I just threw this in the suggestion thread… just in case.
Give the elementalist/engineer weapon swap when “out of combat”.
Popping up my hero screen between fights (“out of combat”) to re-equip for long/short combat get a little irksome. Have a simple button to push when “out of combat” would be much appreciated.
Sorry if this was already suggested.
Having 40 skills to rotate though would be very powerful and it would need to be balanced. I would assume the best way to balance 40 skills would be to reduce its effectiveness. Thus elementalist would have to rotate though 40 skills to be competitive vs. the 20 they get to do now. Personally I don’t want to rotate though 20 more skills.
I saw somewhere else a suggestion of giving the Elementalist weapon swap when “out of combat” which I 100% agree with. Many many times I disengage combat just to pop open my inventory to swap. Would be nice to do with a single button push.
A Whip!
Because the Nightmare court can use them. Just not fair.
Titles? How do I get titles?
When you are looking…
Thanks for the info!
You are correct the invisible bag keeps them handy. But when you zone/die you still need to pop them out again manually.
Yes, thanks for all the hard work.
Titles? How do I get titles?
+1
I would love this
Thanks, I will double check that.
I am only level 53 but I have been spending some time recently helping out lower level friends. Doing so I have noticed a decent loss of funds. I am finding that hanging out an area does not justify the cost of my play style.
I have started running everywhere and I am allot more defensive to reduce my chances of being defeated. Armor repairs and waypoints are so expensive when down leveled & playing in an earlier zone.
Other than playing naked and dropping all my funds in the bank does anyone have any suggestions or opinions?
Do burning, bleeding, vulnerability, etc… work on structures?
Basically I want to know when I am trying to knock down a dredge turret or graveling burrow should I pile on conditions or just go straight up damage?
