Ok I try and test Skill3 with dummy golem and get answer for now.
If to close or very close to target skill3 will roll out of control.
Must use in range130 will perfect roll and hit not far or close from target.

1. What is a good weapon set to use? When I reach 7 I plan to have a x/warhorn on me to speed things along but what would you recommend as a good main weapon to start with? I do plan on learning all the weapons along the way but I know there are usually some weapons that are far more effective leveling with than others can be.

Ans:Nothing good or bad in every situation ranger class must know yourself first then know enemy sometime SB/LB very good to killing stuff but when you fight monster can reflex it real hurt,Then try to use anythig and know how to cook enemy with it.
Ok how start weapon I prefer shotbow or longbow.

About mainweapon…
"Shotbow"is overall going weapon can do shot/mid/long fight.
(crap it nerf range to 900 but can still useful)
“Longbow” is stage of range weapon this weapon can teach you how to stay position about you and your pet and enemy.(On PvE)
X/warhorn is good runing and swap 1Hsword or Axe as main hand for do both melee and semi range useful on combo with pet.
1Hsword skill 1 give might to your pet / Axe3 combo pet to add weakness to enemy.

Ans:Hmmm…My style said start with…
Wilderness Survival or Nature Magic is good.
Not kill past but self takecare very good.

Ans: My exp never use rune/sigile untill LV70+ and start use/looking when80
on PvE our pet is bestfriend.I just patch up random rune/sigil from salvage.

Ans:Our pet can combot with weapon it realy long story if you need to know deep.
Dam…our forum pet master is flood alway I can’t dig this time…
Cat : VERY High dmg Very die easy.
Bird : high dmg die easy can swiffness and multi hit x3.
Dog : best friend smart handsome tough have some Dmg and can interrup.
Lizard : Tough can AoE blast have DMG can fight land and water cambat.
Moa : Buff turret not use much about 1year ago…Passive mode and push buff.
Pig : you know it not look like danger but pig can AoE knockdown and dig dirty toy to use.Tough and high HP.
Spider : Tough low DMG but have a lot of condition and immobite.
Devourer : Super tough and can add condition can knockback.
Ground range combat and water type range combat.Can use as sandbag.
(Player can stand behind this pet and let range bullet struck on Devo.)
Bear : year…beer it just a bear if you no idea what I pick pet to use…beer is good…
Shark : High dmg High vit but wet noodle.
Armor Fish : Sandbag low DMG.
Jellyfish : Jelly fortress DMG is good can regen can eat a lot of DMG.

5. I believe I’d like to run gs/sb in the end. Since my toon isn’t an asura that’ll be one less daze I would get in the technobabble build I’ve seen. What other good guides are out there? I’ve seen vid of a ranger using gs, s/wh that looked promising also, is this still viable? I plan on sticking with one ranged one melee in pve and most likely wvw.

Ans : this is very talkable but can’t answer in shot.
Weapon set is killing type some set good with melee some set good with range
Some set goot to anti stealth some set is good to melt regen.
It’s up to Set and traits. to bad we not have “oh kitten button to reset fight” or
“1push safe da kitten escape.”

0/30/30/10/0 or 10/30/30/0/0 Trap type on zerg.Not powerful on itself but good to interrup emeny moveing around by spike trap and poison trap is hard to notice when start zerg kiss zerg combat.1stack of poison is make whole healing zerg get to soft to kill.

0/0/25/30/15 Beast master well…it’s not it just Nature voice+Shout set for fast moving zerg.
Good for team if you can grand them regen/swiffness when see your face.
And another good thing if you put sick’em you will look like UAV to spot stealth class for whole zerg you can catch a class to get Revealed 4s is easy to make them death befor it make trouble/anoyying.

0/0/30/10/30 Regen typebase and not get hope high your pet die in3sec when zerg looking at it.

I use Axe/x main hane Axe is good random jumping on random enemy head and good to condition DMG.Sometime shotbow.

Healing Forget HaO and TrollU already…I use Healing Spring.

If you not care your ranger and not happy with it go on delete it.
And go to play what make your feeling happy.

Interesting “mighty swap”
-pet and you got might 3stack 15sec right?
-If use Traits 15 on Beastmastery. swap pet every14sec.
-Have rune + Might duration(+ 40% it + about5-6sec)
-Our 3might = 15sec + 5sec = 20sec and we can swap every 14sec.
-We can got perma-might every time on pet swap in combat?
(I guess in WWW 1time swap is enough for end combat just you or me must dead.)
-But you can jump of tower wall to gain combat mode and swap forever -*-

Exsample if target have condition A when get skill4 they got another B codition.

Skill5 Still burn and firefield.

-AoE burn/dmg and add more DMG on enemy have condition.
-Clean condition self/friend?who apply fire on wound?
-Swap condition to boon?

After post some report some another new bot smart than old one.

-They buy 2nd hand ID to play bot.
(From selling ID who quit this game./Cheap/have good gear/achivement.)
-Join some guild is BIG and famous and have mass player online.

It that day friest craft Exo-set I use Rampage type because poison.sac T6 is cheap and "Rampage"name feeling awesome nothing more or less.
BTW nowday that rampage gear set still useful for me.
I mix accs ring/earring/neck with knight and carrion If u need HP to soak condition tik get some HP/Vit accs.If you need more DEF looking for tough type.
Looking accs is choice what your style play you need?

This rampage gear I can use Longbow like condition weapon lol.

Very good self takecare and regen not make you die easy just careful about do not have poison on your status overall high survival type build can do DMG all time by condition.

I and my friend and my buddy and a lot of random friend play random char/class.
Am good combo with them you must wait and see what style they play and how am I good for them just pick a nice combo with it.

My main ranger and play very good with Mes/war/ga/Engi/Elm/Rang/Thief/Necro.
I know how to make enemy suffer most…and combo it very effective just watch and learn.(Or play that class to know good.)

Play class what you LIKE first then time will teach you how to do it work combo with your wife class.

Ranger/Ranger is…hahaha same like shadow we can doubble team x4 to 1victim.

I love muddy terrain and use often.
If you are survival type muddy terrain is realy distrub and anoyying skill on right time.
It can cut zerg half(Head and tail) 2sec immobilize on pop and cripple who pass useful on wise situation.
Or you need catch someone just pop in front of way who pass and let them run in to it.

Too bad for this skill is no has combo field.

Markman : use Vlll : when see a lot of enemy / X : one by one / Vll : when go with friend.

Pet : Use dog it over going tank interrup not die easy.
Can go with other if suit you.

Ps.Nothing best from traits build must fix for your lifestyle after you try already.

Same as Dog I try 2dog with passive mode Both dog can jump to knockdow enemy when command attack on 1st strike both.

-Dog A attack knockdown enemy.
-Swap Dog B.
-Command Dog B attack he start knockdown enemy.

I have problem with thief perma stealth/blink/warp attack 10k in 1hit but you can handle S/D thief stalth/warp situation with cool head at time vs thief 6.50 those thief reset fight3time and he think you are dead meat at8.55 but no you can handle that risk situation how can you clam like that? and 9.25 I think he down but stealth help him reset fight again dam…you fight awesome Xsorus.

At LV1-20 you will learn about thing how to use and go slowly.
(This LV will choose your love weapon use most.)
Next 21-40 you will change map and learn how to control/collect pet.
After that it your adventure.Go wherever you please.

About ranger try all traits learn how effect they have.
Go and findout your new pet.
Sometime your love weapon not effective with some type of monster
don’t stubborn try another weapon.

Pet is your best friend in your adventure try F1 F3 or passive mode control by yourself sometime.

Every build is good idea for ranger BUT that build traits make ranger stand on what status or position for make best effect.

IMO

30/30/10/0/0 this pew pew type you can play sniper/suppression/trap/distrup or what ever give your ranger stand still and give a shot to enemy very good power+cri can make enemy down fast but you will get kill easy too because no jave HP/Def but when enemy panic and not fight you back you can kill everything on your sight.
But if enemy fight you it up to you to fight harder fight back or fallback to safe position?

20/30/20/0/0 tactic/CC/Trap/cri/ Survival type you can play distrup/trap/archer/survival/jack of all trade good when hit enemy from side/back overall going with any handle weapon long/mid/shot 2H offhand 1H LB SB it up to you.

About healing status try use it and try to not use it and stay on battlefield if feel not hard time to live with it can drop healing status to another or if feel not comfort you can have some.

Bark skin/Empathic bond is good both sometime I use bark skin sometime use E.bond it up on situation I use bark skin on aggrasive mode pet and E.bond use on passive mode pet.

Because I know this time can’t avoid dmg barkskin can hold my life a lot for another CD heal or make me/my pet kill harder when HP drop 25%.(Pet alive help a lot.)
And E.bond can save my life from have AoE buffet trans condi to pet and look pet HP swap him and let my pet alive longer I can concentrate on fight with my buddy pet.

Your spec is very tough or tank trap evade ranger type.

I can talk about WWW.

Your build is good can going to takecare yourself or stay in blob of zerg AoE and can still alive.

SotW help you a lot on runnig going on mission.
If you need to bloody thristy killing somebody can trade SotW to another trap.
(Swap to 3rd trap when you need to hold place choke point and swap back when go another place.And can swap to signet of the hunt when you runnig around place to place.)

-Looking your build and spec is rabit set can make you alive long enough on rain of AoE.
-1500condi is Very high and Very good condiDMG.
-3000Def is tank type not die in1-2shot but stay low profile if enemy can focus you on field you will melt fast by Heavy-condition or Heavy1hit Killer because you no have a lot of healing source can pop offen.
-No good on condi remove if your pet die make them passive and control by yourself is better.
-Low raw DMG must lure enemy on trap or use condi from weapon make them suffer.
-Fire trap is best friend lowCD more DMG can kite enemy on them can burn them alive.
-Spike trap is CC can cut/split enemy to struck forward or backward can make more useful if you can place them on right time.
-Melee weapon on your sup-weapon is good for kill something that have reflex and 1Hsword can use to escape tool / 2evade skill can help you when time come/combo with trap etc…But if put Longbow as sub is good too but you can’t fight in close range.
-SB overall useful but today range900 combo careful with your trap will make anything smooth.
-Low HP yes if you got enemy focus you are already death…

My think about longbow…

Skill1 Long shot just add5% dmg more adjust flying arrow/speed more far MORE dmg.
Add some valu on hit.
On salvo mode ingnore distant dmg faster attack every next shot.

Skill2 Salvo Stance – Root yourself6sec.Gain protection8sec.Cut all skill1 3 4 5to 1/4CD +200range when stance online.Cancle stance when move or end of time.

Skill3 Hunting shot alway love it. Just adjust bug struck air wall.
Salvo mode give cripple on target.

Skill4 Violent shot.More close more DMG.More close knockback if victim too far just daze or knockdown.
Salvo mode if shot moving/condition target gain more DMG.

Skill5 Barrage same effect but can walk.
Salvo mode Ignore number can hit everyone in AoE.

OR

Just same as we have adjust DMG better from we lost DMG from pet.

Skill1 same above

Skill2 Rapid Fire – Fast channel for every next shot.Add every+1%dmg on next atk on same victim.

Skill3 same above

Skill4 same above.

Skill5 Ingnore number on AoE ring is good reason for long bow but…well if do that
A lot of AoE will fix all of class then just WALK when active skill is ok for it.

Taran Redleaf.7912 – I use LB with shapenter stone combo with traits and sigil I can make stack a lot of bleeding on victim 110DMG per tic to death by LB
But agree with you LB not suit for condition.

I like pull on skill4 axe very useful for me on WWW.

(EXif FoE have5sec of burning and1sec tic300dmg FoE will not suffer for burn and take pure dmg from 5sec instant you got1500dmg.If FoE not have burning no DMG.)
