Yellow/orange and lighter greens generally work well together. Something like white and another light color like a pale purple works well too. Different combinations of browns can be pretty interesting as well.

Red is dead.. That simple. I blow up duels all the time. There are 1v1 pvp lobby they can go to.

WvW is NOT where you go to duel. If myself or any of my guild see you, we run you over.. That simple..

That said, we do not go digging into the nooks and crannies of the borderlands looking for you.. So if you pick a corner off the beaten path, go for it.

LESS stats.. Warhammer Online had tons of stats and players just think high numbers equal how well you played.

You can dump a ton of dPS out into a bunker toon and it means nothing if you did not move him off point and wasted your time doing squat.. Less stats are always better in games like this.. The more players will never do anything but stare at a spreadsheet

And tell you what.. when I blink and that kitten ranger can not rapid fire my kitten , I am sure happy.. As others said, only matter with MI and not that big a deal OP….

PvE is really easy in this game. That said, it is easier with a ranger. folks go to the easiest path..

you run burn or medi guard.. marauder amulet … you do not need a video.. medi is simple and works well

IF you get the map, just log out.. My team will do this all the time and the hope is ANet can grasp how much hate this map has..

Does not matter if we can win easy, the concept of the deathmatch is NOT something the pvp community wants.. And for the folks that say they do, you are wrong.. There is a reason this is removed from ranked pvp.. It is horrible and needs to be replaced.

Traveler then.. gives you speed and will work with pretty much any pve builds you want.

PvP matches. We will go link dead about 3/4 of the time when the match is about half way over.. Only getting this in PvP.. Happens when grouped or solo in both ranked and hotjoin games..

I can not wait for the d/d nerf that is coming.. And Anet will be very, very heavy handed as is their norm..

WE screamed against Stronghold when it was tested last time. Why put this lousy PvE map in our pvp? Honestly, your player base already said NO and you just ignore them, waste your time and resources and give us a map that clearly we do not want.

Sorry but I am semi casual so do not play a ton. I was using the one ability to cure conditions on heal (15 sec refresh).. Worked ok.

But after today, what is the best way to at least have some condition clearing? Would it be running the mantra? I just liked the old way where I could couple a heal with the clear, but I admit being a little overwhelmed with the changes.

I play some PvP also so I know having some condition clearing will be important.

Overall I just do not want ANY pve in my pvp. I am ok with different maps, but in the end if I have to fight npc’s I have zero interest.

There are 300+ hearts and a whole other game mode for that. Give me players to fight.. Heck add more siege or whatever but make it about PvP, and throw ALL the pve out the window.

New wilderness survival will handle conditions pretty nicely, with newly buffed Troll Ungeant, entangle, and lightning reflexes. Healing Spring is not the only option against condition anymore.

Expansion, at best, is months away. So you are really not offering the OP anything viable for him now. And you are assuming nothing changes in the beta, which we know won’t happen.

I love this game. but this is very op’ed.. I understand, stress test, beta and all that. That said, we should provide feedback.

The timers are too short.. Blast finisher, lifesteal fields etc etc. Just way too op’ed of a class. Anet has to know this and there will be nerfs Which is a bad term being beta but if let us play and tone it down, we scream nerf..

Few folks in map keep saying how we have not seen what other classes get, but IF they match it , then everyone is op’ed.. Just silly..

I know, this was in EOTM but I run her in WvW a bunch also. Very zerg friendly. AOE unload is just tons of bags. Good crit chance, amazing healing and fun. which is all that matters to me.

Press it once, stop. Repeat. When the situation is right, go for the full attack chain.

It’s not a broken weapon it’s just difficult to use. Thief sword isn’t much different. Have you ever tried teleporting with that thing? It looks a lot easier than it is.

Spoken like a true PvP guy who doesn’t have mobs’ attacks hitting him for 7k+ damage.

The sword needs to work so dodge and serpent strike/stalker strike can be activated mid animation.

pve is only 1/3 of the game.. sword works fine in 2/3. There is no need to change sword. PvE is so easy, you can use any weapon and do fine.

spiders.. for WvW they mostly stay out of aoe range, hit pretty hard and have great abilities.

Sword for wvw is great. however you need to read up and see all the wonderful tips/tricks about it that is posted the boards.

If you are going to roam, GS won’t help out outside of disengaging. Any half way decent roamer won’t let maul hit.. Which is why you use GS

The warhorn is quite weak in a 1v1, borderline useless. Consider any of the other offhands, which are all outstanding.

Also your con that sword autoattack lacks mobility is not true at all. Lack of dodge, possibly, definitely not lack of mobility since 2 of the 3 skills are leaps.

Ehh not really sold about that. Cond build, sure you use torch no question. Power though, axe 4 can be really nice. 5 is just niche and not that great.. WH is better then axe in many of those spots..

I am a big fan of sw/wh for my melee swap (LB for rest). I am taking for general wvw since pve you can play anything.

I run runes of the pack also. Open with WH4, swap to LB2. .big damage. Hold WH 5 for blast in heal. Swiftness is up 95% of the time (5 sec that is is down)..

Plus sword is fast, solid dps. not flashy big hits like GS2, but I like it. Also the leap on sword 2 can be handy.

All this is in the meta zerk build for ranger..

Whips.. Make them dual wield with heavy CC .. fast, lighter damage, lots of cc stuff on them.. Snares, pulls etc ….

I run SB with axe/torch. Rune runes of the undead, sigil of earth and bursting. cond food and potent crystal.

2/6/6 for traits. I run mostly wvw but works just fine in pve. For pve can move WH in for torch for some speed. also WH4 will give you a ton of crit procs for your bleeds.

Oh yeah, all rabid gear.

I have over 3k armor, about 17k health and 1.7k in condition damage. 60% condition duration.

Zero issues with this build. Run spider and wolf for pets.

Is that I could care less about this living story and stuff. No cares, no worried and really do not get what the deal is about it.

That said, folks don’t care about my pvp and wvw viewpoint.. Well and good. Happy to see people enjoying. Happy that I did not log into seeing all the pve stuff forced onto me..

I LOVE how eotm has been the last month (been literally all three sides). Tons of wvw action. big lack of ktrains. GG, roamers, big zergs etc. I could LESS for anyone that wants to level out there. You got 300+ hearts for that..

I love defending FR keep for example. Tons of bags. The folks that whine about the ktrain, you can move along.

this is wvw zone. folks are treating it like it now, and it welcome

as a guard just gear up for cond cleaning.. plus use the right runes/food. Stuff won’t stick. couple that with watching when you are loading with confusion.. you will be fine

Hmm last week 3 devs run with Dgins in EOTM. All 3 were able to be hit, die, be rezzed etc. They were in my zerg and nothing funny went on there.

Your pics show conditions on him in first one. AFter that just standing around watching. nothing to show him porting zergs in, etc..

umm yeah please man. you want your auto attack to not have any positional needs AND add torment?

It is fine to say you want to tweak a weapon, but at least be realistic about it.

Why in the world run p/p for ranged condition build?? That is just nuts. You can do p/d and actually USE conditions.. P/P is unload build which nets you nothing with cond build

OP do not follow this advice.

you can run d/d and p/d with conditions and do just fine in all but zerg pve/wvw
