This raw data represents pages 1-4 only. I plan on continuing but this is time consuming so I’m breaking until laterish. I wanted to get this post up so no one will try and do the same thing which would equal a lot of wasted time for one of us. I will improve on the details. I combined some categories that were replicative or very nearly so. I omitted vague/ absurd/ text walls/ lists that went over 5 things. I plan on listing the categories in descending order (biggest to smallest), and grouping opposites below eachother (gliding/ no gliding). I started adding quotes halfway through page 4, for suggestions that were too lengthy to add to the list or ideas that expanded on existing suggestions in a detailed and thoughtful way.

Its really simple.
If you join a game, you have an option to play or spectate.
You dont have a choice of what team you will be on, you dont have a choice to join a team if you enter spectate. You cannot rejoin a server until the match is over.
Something more radical: autobalance 4v5’s so that the losing side has more people.

Recently there was a poll on gw2wvw.net about the stability nerf a while back. A lot of people said they would come back if there was a complete reversion of that nerf. Regardless of your personal opinion of the site, its clear that there are a lot of people who think that stability is a big cause of wvws current status. I agree, and would like to propose some buffs to profession wide group stability that I think would be beneficial.

Warrior
Make eternal champions stunbreak effects apply to party. Possibly make dolyak sig apply stab to party as well.
Guardian
Reduce the cooldown on hallowed ground and increase stacks given.
Revenant
Increase the radius of inspiring reinforcement and increase stacks given.
Ranger
Possibly make sig of the wild apply stab to party as well. Maybe invigorating bond can give group stab as well.
Thief
Switch shadow protectors and cloaked in shadows place. Rework shadow protector to give stab to allies when blinding a foe.
Engineer
Increase throw elixirs radius. Make perfectly weighted apply stab to party as well.
Necro
Give foot in the graves stab to nearby allies as well, increase stacks.
Ele
Increase the radius, duration, and stacks of rock solid.
Mesmer
Increase the radius, duration, and stacks of mantra of concentration.

I think by now its clear that for at least stability, balance should be separated for each game mode. Its too crucial of a boon to balance in such vastly differing game modes.

Updated some ideas for group stab.
A possible balancing act for smaller fights could be that applying stability to yourself gives you less stacks then it would if applied to an ally. Seems kinda janky at first but it could work.

More Counter Stealth Play

currently there is only 2 way to detect stealth:
- stealth trap: expensive, clunky, resource wasting and with no guaranteed result in other word utterly useless
- arrow cart skill 4: well i never actually manage to stealth out a thief (or that i know of) since you cant bring arrow cart around and in siege condition most thief dies to bleed anyway

in gw2 its to easy to abuse stealth mechanic, especially with thief (mesmer can abuse stealth but i find it as a mild annoyance compared to the thief)
they say they would nerf the perma stealth mechanic (dont dont consider moving 100% stealth to 90% stealth a nerf)
people never mention any problem with stealth because most people play warrior or guard and cant hardy notice when they are hit by backstab and their attack cleave so if the thief still linger around it can be easily hit by the auto attack.

what i suggest:
- adding a revealed state each time after you use a stealth skill (2-4 second) that way you cant spam stealth and get way with it
- especially for thief make the heal (hide in shadow) only remove one condition. this is way to annoying since they can easily stealth+heal+regen+remove condition+recover initiative while hiding and the opponent only can madly aoe
- a simple way to counter stealth in combat just add a trail of glowing foot mark when stealthed in combat this way we can know where are they going

If you bothered to pay any attention at all you would realize that there is a revealed state already in effect. Adding a glowing footmark would defeat the purpose of stealth. Please start using your brain before someone else does it for you.

To the argument against a full defense team cheese moding everything without a timer: so what? Its going to take them an incredibly longer time, and I cant imagine anyone doing it that way would be having much fun. In which way would it impact people on a large scale? Do you think it would replace the zerk meta in its “zerk or kick” mentality? Do you really think there would be enough players willing to take that much more time in a raid for that to happen?

Improve the Rangers Mechanics

It would be nice if pet skills activated immediately. The next best thing would be if pet skills did not go on full kittening cooldown when I try to activate their skills immediately after I switch to them in combat.

Why this has not been implemented from the start makes no sense, and is a huge factor to why I avoid ranger in PvP. I’m sure others feel the same and demand to have this simple and core mechanic fixed. If only they would speak up in threads like this.

my biggest concerns are
a] a lot more lag
b] anet keeps the movement speed bonus and makes taking stuff from bigger servers impossible
c] anet keeps the mount jump and takes forever to fix glitches / exploits
d] clutter. not a big deal to some but its really annoying to me when I turn a corner and see a ton of enemies with tons of siege, only to see that’s its server x and theyre not a threat. also prolonged engagements with tons of clutter gets tiring quickly. its already pretty bad with so many enemies. yeah in case you were wondering at the end of a zerg fight I’m gasping for air. its a condition called cluttoritis.

This noob class is getting worse by the day and it has got to stop.

All they do is run up, drops wells, jump in DS, that procs chill of death which takes 1/4 of my total hp away, and then I cant recover.

Its no fair, no skill spam, zerg with aoe then run away cuz I die easy.

The wells cover the whole point, I cant step out for a second, or dodge on point, its no use. Cant use cc cuz they have stability.

Slowing them down before they reach point is too hard with all the condi transfer. Too hard to sync with a team member to help. Its reached critical mass for me.

Pls nerf this class so I dont have to get better.

Why do people stop playing GW2?

I had high hopes for WvW, and that has been pretty crushed. If its not player vs door, its getting run over by a 50 man zerg, or when youre running to catch up with your teammates some 5 man vulture team will pick you off, immobilize stacking, orbs/ sigil stacks, siege monkeys, no real way to tank or heal (missing the holy trinity)…
The PvE content is an absolute joke. Everything is super easy because the AI is non existant.
PvP I dont really have an interest in anymore. It was fun for a while but it lost its appeal when I started to get into WvW. Anet wants the game to be an eSport so badly I feel other aspects of the game arent getting much attention.
The biggest problem I have is the trait system and number of skills. Anyone who has played GW1 knows what I’m talking about. The trait system is one dimensional and shallow, being able to go deep into skill trees and creating new builds is the main appeal I have for mmos. The number of skills available to each profession is a joke.

i feel your pain @ yb. way back when i was on borlis pass up against wagon brand and yaks bunker, it was impossible to find anyone to fight. i would run around for 30 minutes and see little siege monkeys pop their head up from a siege heavy tower.
reminiscing about this made me laugh in pain irl.

on a more serious note, why would servers populations “get” better? do you have any suggestions or fixes for this? weren’t linkings introduced to improve pop in the first place lol? do you have queues on all 4 maps? maybe switching to an un-queued map is better then no queue at all aka ghost town.
