The game is f2p. If there was a sub then this sort of thing wouldnt be as bad, but then “omg I have to pay each month lol noty”.
I really love this idea, and I hope it gets a lot of posts. In anticipation of this, I shall reserve the #1 spot.
I only played a little bit of Warhammer, but the RvR and PvP was sooooo much fun.
Warrior
Save Yourselves! – Elite shout. 60 second recharge, instant activation.
Allies in earshot (1200) gain 800 toughness for 10 seconds. Does not stack, the same shout would reset duration.
Guardian
Signet of the Ancestors – Elite signet. 40 second recharge, 1 second activation.
Passive – Apply 1 second of chill every time you inflict blind.
Active – Gain 4 stacks of might (15 seconds) every time you gain fury. Lasts 10 seconds.
Ranger
Signet of Melandru – Elite Signet. 30 second recharge, instant activation.
Passive – Your other signet passives are increased by 50%.
Active – Breaks stun, cures a condition, and gives all allies in earshot (1200) 4 seconds of stability.
Frozen Soil – Elite trap. 25 second recharge, 1/2 second activation, 180 trap radius.
Up to 5 enemies become encased by ice. Effected enemies cannot be ressurected, but can still be healed. Lasts 5 seconds, applies 1 second of chill every second. Frost field.
Engineer
Reflective Armor – Elite Gadget. 40 second recharge, instant activation.
Reflect conditions back to their source over the next 8 seconds.
Thief
Shadow Form – Elite deception. 20 second cooldown, 1/2 second activation.
Enemy utility skills and profession mechanics cannot target you for the next 8 seconds. Gain 4 seconds of protection when Shadow Form ends.
Signet of Critical Defenses – Elite signet. 30 second cooldown, 1/2 second activation.
Passive: You gain aegis when you interrupt a foe.
Active: For the next 10 seconds, critical hits provide 1 second of protection. 1 second ICD.
Mesmer
Mantra of Destruction – Elite mantra. 15 second cooldown, 2 3/4 second activation.
Target foe and up to 5 nearby foes take 850 damage (0.3). Foes with protection take double damage. 3 seconds cooldown between casts.
Field of Transference – Elite manipulation. 60 second cooldown, 2 second activation.
Boons in target area (300 radius) are transferred to allies each second. Lasts 5 seconds. Chaos field.
Elementalist
Signet of Life – Elite signet. 20 second recharge, instant activation.
Passive – Your other signet passives are increased by 50%.
Active – You become overwhelmed with the font of life, increasing your healing power and revive speed by 100% for the next 6 seconds.
Arcane Barrier – Elite arcane. 30 second cooldown, instant activation.
Your party takes half damage from all AoE and ranged attacks for the next 3 seconds. Effects siege.
Necromancer
Well of Denial – Elite well. 40 second cooldown, 1/4 second activation.
Heals allies 60 (0.02) and transfer 1 condition from them each second. Lasts 4 seconds. 300 radius. Breaks stun and provides 1 second of stability. Dark field.
Corrupt Enchantment – Elite corruption. 15 second cooldown, 1 second activation.
Convert 1 random boon in the target area (240 radius) into 1 random condition. 900 range.

Pvp takes out the g in gw.
uh no, both druid and scrapper will be fine if you play the meta build and dodge the big hits. scrapper in particular hard counters condi war. purge gyro will practically counter the entire build.
Resistance is very weak if not useless.

Its basically this. Mass cd reductions! Heres the breakdown:
1 Life Blast – Halve casting time and damage. Little to no aftercast.
2 Dark Path – The biggest problem core necro has is mobility. Changing this skill can fix that kinda. Instant teleport aoe 8 sec cd 600 range, chill reduced to 2 sec.
3 Doom – 12 sec cd 1/2 sec fear, 1 sec fear under 600 units.
4 Life Transfer – 25 sec cd, apply 2 stacks of stability for 6 sec.
5 Tainted Shackles – 25 sec cd. Precasting this can still land the last hit if you get within range of an enemy before the skill finishes.
So the new life blast would be hitting a 2k armor opponent for just under 1.5k, no might, pvp marauder amulet used.
Thats ridiculous. Gap is way to big, but w/e.
pitting premades against soloers kills games. ive seen it before in a game called global agenda. its also kinda common sense. you need to empower everyone. not just one demographic.
Depends on what you are up against. Any hard counter you face will naturally be more difficult.

There is no way you have 2400 healing power. 2293 is the max I have reached on guardian, and thats with the signet and mace trait.
Anyways this is not good news. Us healers gotta stick together out there. Tough it out soldier, remain vigilant, and continue keeping their ungrateful kitten alive.
one of the bigger downsides is how monstrously slow adren buildup is with hammer. having slow anims is one thing, but combined with not doing those anims very much and the weapon is dead.
Its an extremely bad idea.
saw this coming. premades have always ruined non competetive matches for any game. anet seems intent on trying to remake the whole system and not looking into history.
Maybe some vanity items like tonics for minor rewards that can be used while sitting around in the heart of the mists. Maybe some other random things in pve like those quaggan color changer tonics that no one that pvp-only has ever heard about.
I remember with the old system that along with bags, there were a lot of mystic forge things for all the pvp skins. Maybe some useful mystic forge stuffs, like some crystals, mystic coins, elonian wine, with maybe an eldritch scroll at the end?
Trying to change a game to one that is a lot older is most likely a bad idea.

meh. I sported the 4 starter slots with size 15 bags on my toons until the other day. it really depends on how much gear you need vs what you want to have possible. the possible stuff is discard able.
if you get bigger bags, you will just fill those up after a while and want more space. its all on you.

Give us your top reason. Mine is:
1. pvp is the biggest borefest in the world to watch
believe it or not but I think the anet bashing comes from a good place. I know plenty of people (myself included) that really want the game to succeed and get frustered when there aren’t any recent updates/unaddressed problems.

Reason: wehhhh qq.
Real reason: Since chill now damages from reaper and can be stacked to quite a long duration, plus the upcoming buffs to corruptions, I think condimancer will be way over the top. There is already plenty of cripple around anyways, metinks. Also it doesnt make sense to have 2 conditions competing for the same effect, or one basically canceling the other out
Suggestion: Chill no longer effects movement speed.

I know this thread is old, but starting to look at rev as a possible healer. Are they still viable?
they never were and wont be in wvw/pvp unless ventari/jalis/salvation undergoes some major changes.

Reward stacking servers thus creating a bigger gap in coverage.

i would prefer anything to wings. theyre atrocious attention grabbers that serve no purpose. at least a cape would keep you warm!
