I think you’re better off just learning to play on the PC. Playing this on a controller sounds like a total nightmare. I’m sure you’re missing the controller feel, but trust us, you won’t miss it once you get the hang of the keyboard.
I’m not opposed to stunbreaks providing a .5 second cc immunity.
These sets definitely need a redo. The armor sets look great, but for people who dont spend all of their waking hours farming AP, they are impossible to obtain.
I suggest they re-introduce the armor pieces. To go for one full set, you would receive 1 piece every 2k AP. The other set would be every 3k. That way its at least possible for some people and still fairly exclusive.

The changes are not wanted by anyone who takes pvp seriously. Casuals will be happy, yay for them. People that spent a lot of time on this will get the middle finger. This is not okay.
I’d quite like to see PvP amulets implemented into WvW. Damage in WvW is just way too high so maybe this will reduce it somewhat. It would also allow new players to get into WvW as soon as they prefer without the fear of stat disadvantages other than those gained from food buffs, sigils and rune selection.
imo i think a pvp amulet system for wvw would be great, however reducing the stats is not.
anyway i think its too late for this because a lot of people grinded for their gear solely to use it for wvw. how would we recompensate all of these players? it would be impossible to do without a buff to hackers, i.e. account hack and salvage everything kinda deal.
i really dont like this. i want to get 200 gems, not 400.
the older system as better, i liked being able to see which direction the prices were going. why did they even redo it? it was fine.

I think after the 4 sec attune recharge is up it should automatically swap back to uh air/air for example with no recharge. as it is now its kind of a hindrance to not be able to access all of your skills or more importantly the skill you need at any given time.

Some one in our guild dropped a guild banquet and keg in an enemy garri a week ago. We proceeded to get “drunk” from interacting with the keg several times. The fact that it was knocking us down we thought was kinda funny.
Shortly afterwards we found our enemy. Charged straight at em. All of our skills were missing and everyone in ts was frothing at the mouth. Shortly afterwards we realized it was because of the “drunk” affect. Not so funny.

nerf arc divider range and get rid of some condis on skull grinder, namely the cripple. maybe a 30%ish nerf to adrenal health, but I would do that after the fist nerf just to see how it settles.
also I think the endure pain auto proc should have a longer cd like other professions and their cds.
It’s hard to calculate the difference damage with and without a cover condition.
But by itself, I doubt that the scepter auto attack and Grasping Dead can average 2k/10sec more with Lingering Curse, especially when you’re using other skills as well.
Stand alone no, but combined with hemophobia, 20 in spite, 2 krait 2 centaur 2 lyssa it destroys dhuumfire in damage. My scepter auto nearly doubles in bleeding damage. Sure its hard to tell with cleanses and whatnot, but thats the math.

I think everyones freaking out about how people are playing the new content (big surprise) thus making the maps empty, and that the new maps arent as suited for zerging as the old ones are. Dont forget that GvG arenas are probably taking away people that would otherwise be zerging.

Why bad players prefer condi bunkers: because “fire and forget” builds/skills play the game for you, so you can feel great while not actually playing.
This is so true, because DoT requires much less active offense and much more active defense. Its easy to sit in some tanky spec and let conditions do the work for you, because most dps players dont actually do a lot of damage over time. Instead they rely on burst, which means your defense is low, so its paramount to blow everything you got and hope you down the enemy. Where as DoT is such bs because of how unfair it is.
+1 to more types of armors and weapons, as well as gw1 items. there is not alot of diversity in the fashion department which is strange considering how many people love cosmetics in mmos.

longbow/staff druid with quick draw is the best all ranged option
short cd skills makes the game faster paced which is good but it becomes a problem when they become too effective. agreed there are too many very effective passives.
courtyard – implement rounds, when your team wipes you restart. roster can be in custom arenas shuffled around each restart, but not in unranked/ranked. can spectate teammates when dead. first to (?) wins.
stronghold – instead of running supply, which imo ruins the game mode, you can summon 1 archer and 2 bombers on a 1min timer. both gain more hp and armor vs players. since supply is gone and the middle is sorta empty, add a mortar thing that spawns every couple of minutes that does low damage but has some other effect.
my idea for the mortar is it dazes for 3sec, heals npcs for 1k, and creates a 5sec lightning field that does 500 non critable damage.

No. These game modes are entirely different, and all three of them should be balanced separately.
most people still haven’t figured out how good call targeting is or are coordinated to use it so adding more would give a bigger advantage than they already have to people who understand it.
So experienced players should be punished for being experienced? Like blasting water fields, clearing conditions, and syncing cooldowns+skills?
It felt horrible to let all the depth of the first GW go. I miss being able to open my character panel and being able to choose from literally hundreds of skills. I miss being able to play one of several pvp modes, or hardcore pve raids. The second GW is a huge departure from its predecessor in many ways.
The only thing thats kept me going is the combat.

Here was the big one, MATCH MAKING. People voted for solo/duo que because they thought it would make match making better. If we are honest it has been a little better. But guess what there are still major flaws in the system. It wouldnt be such a big deal except we ARE IN SEASON 5.
there was originally a solo q and team q, the best possible scenario for pvp, but it was implemented poorly. people complained about it, and instead of fixing it (force solo q to accept ONLY solo players – no duo q or match syncers, and team q to accept ONLY whole 5 man premades) we have this. we have this because people complained about long q’s, and instead of fixing things contributing to long q’s (above mentioned, op/up skills/traits and passives, massive bunker potential) we got a watered down version of the only way to make pvp possible.
further, glicko 2 is not suited for complex battle simulations (mmorpgs, csgo seems to be doing fine) because there are too many variables, such as the other team buying (virtual currency at fault here) a player on yours to forfeit, classes and builds, proper point rotations for each class/build, disconnects and rq’s, and aforementioned poor class balance, which was mainly introduced with the massive power creep of hot.
I think if you want to convince others (including myself) that chill is a problem, you need to demonstrate that it is. Just saying it stacks to “quite a long duration” isn’t compelling. How long is it exactly? How does it compare with cripple from other profs? What does a chill-max build sacrifice to stack it that long? Are there no viable counters?
As it stands now, it just sounds as if a few players haven’t figured out how to play against the mechanic.
My post is in response to the preview of the upcoming balance patch. The corruption buff imo will push chill over the edge. Here is a list of the current table of boon corruptions. Swiftness is the most available boon in the game, every class has ample access to it. The table says the swiftness conversion is 10s of cripple, and I’m pretty sure that corruption takes into consideration the oldest boon first. So that will most likely always be converted. To reemphasize my two points, there is no need to have two conditions competing for the same effect. When facing a reaper, an already strong class, closing on them will be even more impossible for melee orientated classes (warrior already has this problem, scrapper) or melee orientated burst classes (mesmer, dagger ele builds).
tl;dr
I realize chill is supposed to be a strong, shutdown condition, but imo it will prove to overwhelm melee due to corruption buffs in this upcoming patch.
I understand where youre coming from, but making something all inclusive completely undermines its value. for a games competitive scene that spells disaster. take any fps for example, or even chess. the rules are simple, the quest to the top is not. if the top is reachable to anyone, then no one will reach for it because its so easy and thus has no value.
dont tell them anet. DONT TELL THEM.
You could wait for their retal to wear off. You know, actively check what boons theyre running before you start throwing skills at them.

gotta learn to dodge the longbow 4 knockback. I suggest getting on a ranger and using the skill a couple of times to get familiar with the animation. after that learn the pet animations. if you got those 2 things down then you can beat rangers.

ive said it a million times. population isn’t whats broken, its that smaller more organized groups don’t have the tools they need to take down bigger ones (not counting siege).

and it’s not like the damage from chill is free. It requires taking a trait which means not taking either of the other two. Actually I feel that the trait that allows chill to deal damage is the worst of the 3 …
Joking aside, I do think chills movement impairing effect is asinine when paired against cripple and overpowered on necro combined with upcoming changes.
