I hadn’t considered that. But I would prefer that over what we currently have. If someone wants to block me for not being good enough, I probably wouldn’t want to be grouped with them anyway.
Since there is no way to actually report players who go AFK, intentionally tank matches, disconnect, flame, wish cancer, or any other long list of issues players have with other players, can you make one simple fix?
Add functionality to the “block” option the prevents blocked players from being partied with the “blocker”. This way, the community will eventually weed these toxic jerks out of the game.
Think about it…. if every player in the match blocks them, they limit the number of players this person could get potentially grouped with in the future. This could be a simple solution to many of your problems.
I wish that if you blocked someone it would prevent you from ever getting queued with them.
So at the very least Shadow Bohemoth is broken. You CAN NOT crit him and he takes 20 minutes for a full map to kill. Brilliant job guys. Doubling the HP was a bandaid for a much larger problem. Adding in small Crits was a good idea. Its just NOT working on a few of the world bosses. Logging off. Fix your kitten.

Maybe the rest of their team went to home and they realized they were fighting a losing battle. It is extremely aggravating to be grouped with four players who have no clue.

1. Ranger needs the most help BY FAR.
2. Engineer needs help, but not as much as Ranger
3. Necro – needs a slight toning down. Not as important as 1 or 2.

Players will also gravitate towards these kinds of simple mindless loot opportunities when they are in the game.
Unfortunately, this leaves many other engaging group events in the world untouched and other zones desolate.
While I applaud the players resilience for staying with such a dull manifestation of the game, I feel Anet should take an approach akin to paternalism* and remove the Queens zerg, in order to force change and diversity.
This may upset some players, who feel they should be able to play how they want to play, but sometimes the world demands an authority or organization to guide us gently towards perfection.

Just because YOUR liberal ideology compels you to force your play-style on others, does not mean that the Queensdale gig is a bad thing. For those of us who have been here since launch and do not WANT to level through all of those crappy mindless events for the 8th time, this is a relaxing, albeit slow alternative that you can pop in to and out of with ease. The game needs things like this, and less people who would see things ruined for others because they do not personally see the value in them.
And the notion that YOUR advice is “fatherly” is laughable. Please do not ever try to impress your warped ideology me or my children.

I completed the Storymode and put one of the +1 agony resistance infusions on top of one that I previously made that was +5. The warning must not have been very clear because I was under the impression they would stack. THEY DO NOT. My expensive +5 that was forged was deleted and replaced with a POS +1. Any way to undo this?
Please make WvW ranks account wide. I was stupid enough to get the majority of my ranks on my ranger (utterly useless in WvW). I know it is selfish, but I hate feeling like I wasted all that time on a class that the devs obviously think is balanced and doesn’t need any love.
I feel as if i have been let down. My ranger has been my main since beta. I have spent a lot of time and gold developing and tweaking my beloved ranger. Leading up to this patch I was quietly optimistic that I would be able to compete in WvW. Sadly, I was let down. There is absolutely nothing the ranger excels at in WvW over another class. With that being said…. My ranger, with all of the time wasted on all possible ascended pieces and a legendary will be sitting idle while I smash the crap out of other rangers on my ridiculously OP warrior.

Why nerf a good thing? You want the dungeon harder? Run with an all ranger or necro group. BAM! Harder. Don’t hate on the people who run it they way they found to be the most efficient. It’s not their fault you don’t play their way. Why should they have to play your way?
Just sharing an experience I had. I have 3 level 80 toons, 2 of them are at FOTM scale 39+. I’ve also earned the Dungeon Master title and do daily random dungeon runs mostly with my guild but sometimes with a pug party. I’d like to think I’m not an elitist MOST of the time and in all my daily runs I’ve only ever initiated a kick once and it was not due to gear issues or “noob” behavior but simply because the player went afk at a crucial time (at the arm seals in a 30+ fractal) without any logical explanation.
So today I went with my fairly new but fully zerk-geared mesmer to my first COF p1 speed run with a pug group. I’ve done COF p1 countless times before, most of them with my guildmates. And yesterday I joined a “casual” speed farming pug group with my mesmer (had 1 ele and later 1 guard, not full zerk) that did well (did 1 run in an average of 15min). But the group I joined today was one of those elitist groups that wanted 4 zerk warriors and 1 zerk mesmer and demanded that we ping our gears. We finished 1 run in about 10min. I THOUGHT I did everything right including blink-porting them through the boulders (on my first try). Then after the run I got kicked. I asked two of them why. Only one of them was kind enough to reply and tell me what I should have done. He said I “didn’t pull the slave driver into the wall and didn’t time-warp fast enough”. Also I cast feedback late at the turrets (apparently they didn’t notice I cast Phantasmal warden before casting feedback). Other than that I did everything right, he said.
I am astonished at the level of elitism in the GW2 community now. And especially because from what I was told I only made minor errors that I could have easily changed. I’ve tolerated much worse mistakes from other players without raging or kicking. Wouldn’t it have been easier to tell me what I did wrong than risk getting a less experienced mesmer on the next run? Or is it really just easier to initiate a kick?
I run P1 with a warrior and a mesmer. The hardest job in a speed run falls on a good mesmer. Without one the run takes 10 min like you said. That is just terrible.
The point im trying to get across is not that im qq’ing. I’m trying to bring a point to the dev’s what needs to be fixed.
I would argue that the shatters (which have been nerfed a few times already) are not the problem at all.
This is a matter of the dungeon and the goal of the party. For instance… if you are build defensively in a CoF speed run… you are doing nothing but hurting the party. Great! You can stay alive forever but you are in no way helping to clear faster.

I’m torn…
On one side, I know that there will always be content that will be farmed for gold and I am really happy that one of the best ways to do this right now is through a dungeon instead of mindlessly killing mobs over and over in open world.
However, it is disappointing that this heavily favors people that have a mesmer or warrior at level 80. If this was something that was viable with other classes as well, it really wouldn’t be an issue to me, but right now there are two main problems that prevent that from happening:
1) Warrior dps is so far beyond what any other class can do, it’s no wonder that many people won’t join a group for something like CoF unless it’s a 4 warrior 1 mesmer group. I’ve heard the argument of melee getting higher dps since it’s riskier to be in melee than in ranged, but melee for many other classes still isn’t close to warriors (rangers may be one of the best examples of this issue).
2) Dungeons right now, as a whole, generally encourage glass cannon builds since damage is often avoidable through dodges and unavoidable damage is so low that there’s not much reason to ever bring a person running a full support build.
1) Warrior DPS is AoE. Thief DPS is higher, but only on single targets as their AoE stuff isn’t as strong. In CoF where you have several key fights with pile o’ trash, AoE is more important that raw DPS.
That said, my ranger has better AoE DPS than greatsword warriors which is why I speed run CoF using a sword/axe shout warrior who has enough boon duration bonuses that she can be standing around and still maintain 11-14 stacks of might, permafury, and permaswiftness. She also sticks 6 stacks of might on everyone around her. When she starts fighting, 20+ stacks of might aren’t out of the question, and since might buffs both direct and condition damage, and condition damage ignores armor, and sword autoattack stacks bleed…
Ya. No rangers get to the kind of AoE DPS she has once she gets going.
I’m also thinking of using her rune setup on my guardian to see what kind of ubertank it turns her into
I just laugh out loud for real. I play a ranger as my main and there is absolutely ZERO possible way for a ranger to even come close to the numbers a warrior can put up. Heck, they cant even come close to the numbers my mesmer puts up. Which is why I have a mesmer and warrior to run CoF 1….
Nope…maw is defiantly increased. dragon timer site went through roughly 3 cycles while i sat there before it popped. The first one i was ok with because it was fresh patch…
Someone please explain how INCREASING the respawn of an event DECREASES the amount of players present as was the “intention”.
So I get why they nerfed rare drop rates from world bosses, but why increase event timers on some bosses? This IS NOT going to reduce the amount of people that show up to them. Very very counter-productive.
Its NOT guaranteed… but has a high chance. Getting there is a pain in the butt.

Agreed… maybe if that is your home server it kicks a guester for your spot? That would cause frustration to though.
How about we just do away with guesting all together.
I can not do ANY of these events on my own server. Why should people be able to guest here and do them if I can’t on my own server? I DO like the new event rewards and the fact that you can only do once per day per toon, however SOMETHING needs to be done about this guesting BS.
How about you just dont let people guest to very high pop servers
The are a select few who may complain that the new rewards are too much. I think they are appropriate. This helps the casual player significantly and helps to even the field with the hardcore farmers.
I may even be able to afford a legendary one of these days!
I can’t upgrade my ascended amulet with offensive slot too. I will not add a new offensive infusion (+5AR, +5 precision) until a dev comment this.
Does any one have insight in to this? If I get an amulet with an offensive slot can i get an AR/Prec infusion and put it in?
I got a chest. It had a Green Sapphire Crystal or some crap like that.
Did this on 28 tonight… did not seem too different besides more red circles.

Anet did a great job of ensuring you do not HAVE to grind (fractals excluded). The only reason you would HAVE to grind is if you WANT a skin. So there is technically no grindfest unless you WANT to LOOK different.
For all these people complaining about how legendaries are so easy to get, and that anyone with some extra cash can just magically make one… YOU obviously are ignorant of the actual cost. I understand that there are some for sale. Who cares though? It took someone A LOT of time to make that. If they dont like the stats and want to sell it they should have that right.
1. Large amounts of skill points (can’t be bought)
2. Large amount of karma for shards if you dont want to grind fractals (can’t be bought)
3. Multiple crafting disciplines (can’t technically be bought)
4. Large amount of WvW tokens (can’t be bought)
5. Exploration token (can’t be bought)
6. 500 dungeon tokens (can’t be bought)
The rest CAN be purchased, but each of the above requires significant dedication in time. Basically, the designers came up with a way that allows you to get a SKIN that proves you have “mastered” most aspects of the game (excluding tpvp). I agree with this 100%.
First I have seen of this one. However, there is also one in Bordlands SW camp as well.
There were multiple players intentionally exploiting that story step be restarting it over and over to farm the enemies. Because it’s a seperate instance, it’s also a lot less likely to get reported, since no one can see it. Only the respawning enemies are now worthless, there’s still a lot of stuff that can be killed for loot/xp.

Why the stealth nerf on personal story xp/loot? I did retribution today on my alt and 98% of the mobs drop nothing and give no xp. That sucks!

If you pull the boss in to the side room you do not have to deal with the adds the whole time. For the most part the adds do not all follow you in there. The down side to this is you have a much smaller area to deal with his AOE. When he goes invulnerable and you need to smash the seal, you do your best to take down one and get out of there. It sounds easier than it is…and it is slow… but doable

By nature a spirit is not living anyway. Why would they give us a spirit that only has a % chance to even benefit us, and then turn around and make it so it can be killed like its some little white bunny? Spirits are not living beings… they should last their duration.
