Maps have queues?
I agree with you, there is a slight uptick in activity on ET which is encouraging. Still a large mismatch with ET and DR vs the monster server of the week, but at least there seems to be more options than roaming solo
I noticed about a 10 fps drop, which is understandable with the blowing grass and stuff. Some people may have to back down their settings a bit, but I like the new look.
But to have to put up with this sort of behavior from Kain is just pointless and the server is just showing us right now that they lack positive leadership.
Players tend to act rudely when they are frustrated with their game play, and will take advantage of an opportunity to take it out on others, no matter how cheap the opportunity… ugly human nature. It’s a reflection of them, not you, so don’t take it personally.
I’ll consider moving to IoJ as long as you promise to show this much enthusiasm, with this creative and passionate use of caps, while on map chat.
Well considering that siege range relates to your field vision, I’m wondering if someone would have an advantage using an Ultrawide 21:9 monitor with 3440-1440 resolution
This is WvW on ET… and this is on our BL
I used to flip Keeps with my Mesmer prior to the build changing patch… not sure if it will be easier now that I switched from PU Condi to Condi Shatter… I have not tried since the patch. More damage now, but less evasion.
It was a WvW drop.
Doesn’t matter about the Charr versions, you really can’t tell the difference in their gender unless you catch them coming out of the water before their fur dries.
Not any more, they already stopped the Mesmer stealth stacking
As of when? I didn’t play last night, but Mesmer stealth was definitely stacking on Sunday, and there haven’t been any patches since then.
Ah, good to know I might have been mistaken… for some reason when I tried last night in WvW, it didn’t seem to be stacking. I’ll have to pull it back out tonight and confirm.
Been to T8 lately Lunacy? Didn’t think so
It’s also now worth pointing out Mesmer stealth is unique. What do I mean by this? All other forms of stealth as far as I know stack duration. You can have 4 guards blast a smoke field and get 12s of stealth. Get 4 mesmers to use mass invis and you will only get 5s as it doesn’t stack, thus making you stagger stealth. It also bugs out the stealth effect which is annoying.
Related to this note, PU stealth stacking is incredibly strong now. Able to stack around a minute of stealth at a time

My problem is not anything they did to the PU build, but what they did to all the other classes. The whole play style for PU Condi was to stick your condis and use your evade skills to live long enough for the condis to do their thing. But with all the extra damage the other classes are now producing, it is now very difficult to live long enough for the condis to do their thing.
For the bottom tiers: you are your own worst enemies. You let the big bully tiers come down and gut you over and over and NONE of you ever learn. Fool you once shame on them, fool you twice….you are just being stupid (and since this is at least the 7 or 8th time that I have personally witnessed…… <face palm>
If people decide to leave with the Guild that recruited them, they are not being “stupid”, it’s just that they found a group they enjoy playing with, and that is more important to them than the name of the server they log into. Actually sounds more sensible than stupid, to me at least.
kitten ET, I only play there anymore during the time period that a remaining group of folks I like to run with plays there.
The whole server loyalty BS sermon is BS. Don’t let it ruin your gaming experience

Can’t agree with Mesmers OP… I guess it depends on the build, but as a PU Condi it has become very tough to survive the increased damage to allow our Condis enough time to do their thing. Sounds like we may be forced to embrace the Shatter build which is too bad, I like having options.
Using PU Condi, there is an Ele build that my Condis will not stick to… that is pretty much the only profession/build that I can not beat.
There was approx a 60-70 man blob in t8 last reset.
True, there is life on ET during EST Primetime, but other than that, it can be pretty dead. Soloing Camps, Towers and Keeps can get old, so now I pretty much only play ET in the few hour primetime window, which provides me more time to find other activities to get involved in outside of GW2 = the game is losing it’s hook.
I have always been against the idea of forcing people to switch servers, but the T8 servers, especially ET, can get so dead that offering free transfers not only seems like the right thing to do, but may also save ANET from losing players out of frustration.
I was more responding to the OP saying the higher tier servers should get free transfers from the bottom dead tier servers. Or do you mean that the bottom servers should be forced to transfer up?
No, nobody should be forced to adapt to the playing styles of others, options are good in gaming. On the flip side, nobody should be forced to play on a "dead’ server if they can’t afford, or unwilling, to pay for a transfer. So let the T8 servers remain, some like to play in a non zerging environment, but offer a transfer to those looking for mo people to play with. It only helps the game maintain players if they are happy with the experience.

Hurry and get to T8, nobody gets overrun in T8… if you see a lopsided score, it’s only because nobody was home on the other BLs.
Never thought of Rangers being “Fearsome”. I find them the easiest to take down.
It works for me, I enjoy the 5-12 size group during ET Primetime, where the success or failure of a fight really does come down to my play. You can havoc a bl with this size group, without getting immedirolled by a zerg.
If you are on the very bottom, such as ET, you need to forget about ppt, and enjoy the individual fights… we have our own lil games we play, like siege a Tower, knowing that they will need to really work at taking the walls down, taking out your ACs, then overpowering you… I don’t know if it is fun or frustrating for our opponents having to put this much work into a Tower, but we have a blast. It doesn’t make much ppt sense to play this way, but if you are playing for ppt, you are on the wrong server.
There are the non-prime times though where it is very quiet… I do enjoy solo roaming as well, and will solo Towers and take down Keep walls by myself, hoping for some help to show up to assist in the taking. Sometimes I find help, but I have walked away from Keeps with both walls down… this can be frustrating. I have come very close to soloing a keep, but not yet… a goal you can really only work on in T8.
This is the style I learned to play… I recently took a couple weeks to check out a couple higher servers, and found myself bored of the zerging. Player relationships seemed more guild based rather than server based on these higher servers, but I may not have given them enough time to witness much of it. I searched for a dedicated Havoc groups, and found none. I eventually went back to ET where the fights are challenging, and the outcome really does depend on my play.

I rarely lose to Thieves… I have been playing PU, and while many call it “cheese”, I call it “fighting cheese with cheese”
Owow clicking your utilities and excessive backpeddling. Try moving your heal and utilities to X C V B.
Thanks, I like the idea of moving utils there, will take getting used to.
What’s wrong with backpeddling? It can be useful when dropping clones, and dodging forward.

However, going PU also means I won’t be able to flip a camp on my own fast enough before someone responds and by then my HP is already at half and I will be fighting both the NPCs and the responders unless it’s a zerg falling on me and then I will either be able to evade them or just die.
Good point… move to T6-T8 if you want to roam solo, then you can solo Towers
Nonsence, power PU is same dmg as any other power spec, mean u gonna sit on around 2.3-2.5k power and above 200% crit dmg.U might been missinformed about PU,which is one trait, not build.
As for t6-8,u dont solo towers in here, ppl zerg just the same, and u get overrun by big groups all the time, groups which will chase you for several minutes.
Someone forgot to send me that memo, because I solo Towers all the time. I run PU Condi, not Power… And one of the benefits of running PU is that you do not get run over, or chased for several minutes by big groups, you just leave the scene if it gets too hot.
It eats mesmers for breakfast
and necromancers for lunchNo seriously though, mesmer is a utility bot, even for roaming it is not that great and it will lose to every thief there is due to thief having massive advantages over mesmers in the first place from how the professions were designed.
Please don’t bring your Ranger to a Roaming Server, T6-T8, because I hate watching people rage quit. Those utility bot Mesmers almost always beats a Ranger, as well as Thieves, where I play.

T6-T8 allows some bonus roaming opportunities, like soloing Towers, and taking Keeps with a buddy, or soloing Keeps if you are that OP (I’m not… yet).
I love being in T8. During Primetime, when I play most often, the tempo is good for a small havoc group, and a single guild can really make a difference. Not too much blobbing, and you get to know the other players.
The down side though is that you can encounter this if you decide to play early morning EST;
On a good note, Maguuma and BP finally drop down to where they can compete again, and of of course ET got what they wanted, some fights… and even though ET will have a rough time competing PPT, you will not hear us complain.
EDIT: Just want to say, congratulations to ET. Keep moving up, I certainly don’t want to deal with your coverage anytime soon :p
Thanks Mizu… I’m hoping that none of the servers fully die. I think/hope eventually any server on the bottom will attract those looking for a challenge and wanting to make a difference. It’s the best explanation I have for our recent transfers.
Some clips from this last reset
Thanks Rimmy, I’ll agree with you, Sat night was a blast. Cheers to Ebay, I love your attitude
We may look like we are dead last, but we are not dead
I’m also happy to see Kaineng get the numbers, even if it means we (ET) are getting beat by them.
The free transfers seem to be working as ET has seen several new people, but obviously not as many as some other servers.
Yep Rimmy, that was a fun fight for Bay, your numbers, tactics and persistence was impressive. What was it, 3 hours worth? and we were trying to hold Hills at the same time. We were scrambling.
As someone who has been weighing ET, DR, or AR, I am curious what made you choose ET. All three of these servers seem to be roughly equal and have good communities, and I’m about to just put three names in a hat and draw.
Uh between those three. It took a week or two to get a response out of AR which kinda put them on the back line for us. DR was looking good for us, except for the fact the person we talked decided they were transferring with a few other guilds. ET however went out of their way multiple times to talk to me, and the entire group of us transferring. Plus size wise it’s what we wanted. So both of that was a big plus.
Awesome! I look forward to meeting you… We had a great turnout at reset, I’m excited about where ET is going
TAC – They are either fairly new to the server, or perhaps I’m just noticing them, but they know their business… I know fights will go well when I see their tags.
We are not new to the server at all, but I am glad you like us.
We have been on ET for a very long time, since September of 2012.
My apologies… it’s obvious that I’m the new one
I joined ET’s WvW just over a month ago and I am very happy with my decision… give em a look
I love the server’s coordinated effort and friendship that goes beyond any guild… you must use TS to appreciate
For newcomers, I would recommend jumping in TS and following different Commanders before joining a Guild… the downside to this server is that it doesn’t necessarily have a full 24 hour coverage, so you want to hook up with folks that are consistently on during your play time. There is no hurry to sign up since you are welcomed by any group… we all fight together anyways.
My take on Guilds I have experienced:
MoS – Small guild, but growing… they have 2 of the best Commanders I have run with. If your play time matches theirs, you are in for a treat. They are very experienced and you can learn alot by running with them regardless of the tag you wear. A great balance of extensive WvW experience, free share knowledge, and dedication to keeping things fun. (bias alert… I’m tagged, but trying to be honest)
END – A fast growing guild that has their act together. Even though tags are almost irrelevant on this server, if you like to run mostly with members wearing the same tag, this is probably your best bet. They may crow a bit about what they can accomplish, but they have been proving they can back it up.
BOM – Great people… never met a BOM I didn’t like very active in WvW as well as PVE
TAC – They are either fairly new to the server, or perhaps I’m just noticing them, but they know their business… I know fights will go well when I see their tags.
PIC – Huge Guild. They have to make room for new folks trying to get in by trimming the inactives because of the member cap… very very active in PVE, and I’m excited that they are starting to show themselves more in WvW. Oh the possibilities here
My apologies for the guilds I didn’t mention, but my main point is that this is a great group regardless of the tags.
Yes Fortus, it is fixed, once I revisited all the zones I received the Gifts of Exploration. I’m happy and can go to bed now )
I revisited every zone then received the reward
And yes, I did gain it in an instance, so that may be the reason for the bug
Read on the wiki that one possible fix is to revisit every zone… that worked )
I believe I have everything, “Been there done that” is listed as achievement, and I have option to list it as name title… I put a support ticket in… how reactive are they for tickets?
and thanks for the reply
I completed 100% maps, got title and opened chest, but did not have Gifts of Exploration… thought maybe there was another step, so looked at utube videos. I guess there was another icon next to the chest I was suppose to click on, but didn’t. It’s no longer there. Am I screwed?
I put too much work into this and don’t want to play the game anymore if all that work was wasted.
Completed Map, received achievement, but I did not receive Gifts of Exploration… I worked too hard to not receive these.
