A penalty?? Why, i get improve server loyalty but some people like to chase good fights and dispise mindless blob ppting. With how the match ups are near impossible to predict, its easy to get put in a tier that you hate. If they ever implement actual punishment for changing servers they should bring stability to tiers first.

What a lame excuse for not giving us fun gamemodes. Just like any other game out there all anet has to do is balance for conquest(the “main” gamemode), and the other game modes are just their so people can actually have fun in pvp rather than play the same thing they have been for 5 years.
I honestly don’t care about how the armor looks, im just kittened its raid only. Theres 3 different games modes in this game, each has hardcore players. Why should only one get the best armor?
Winning is so heavily placed on the skill of you teammates, that it is silly the game doesn’t take personal contribution into account when adjusting mmr. One bad player dying far all game can lose you whole game, nothing you can do about it.
Id rather them balance elite specs than create a whole new queue list. But I wanna play core spec too, without being at disadvantage by default.
Sense HoT there has been a lot more power creep. Combat feels more like spamming all your skills off cooldown and the outcome of the fight is decided by comp and numbers. Pre HoT the game felt much more skill based, dodges mattered much more, timing was important. I also want to play some of the base specs again and almost none of them are really viable atm.

I got paired with a DH that walked into a glass warriors hundred blades. Then while dead called be bad for not stomping the person I had downed with 10% and no stab, while that same warrior was still there.
i think id love this system if i was top10 also.
Doesn’t seem like it but it really should. Also you personal contribution should count for something. I could be the best player and my team yet still lose becasue one person has no idea what they are doing. I shouldn’t be punished the same as them mmr wise.
Is it viable anymore?
I really like a lot of these outfits that anet is putting out. But i’m not buying them because I really can’t customize them that much. I like having my own unique look, and I would love to incorporate certain parts of these outfits in to my armor looks, but I can’kittens all or nothing with outfits and that just turns me off to them.

yay six months of playing warrior while its kitten. now i get to enjoy a good class. oh wait nvm i quit.
Just got teamed with a shappire and ruby vs. full diamond team. Due to a diamond on our team decided to 3 man with those 2. Lost by 47 and still lose a pip. Awesome.
I feel like people would use it to flame rather than to actually coordinate. Most people that want to talk will join a guild with friends and use ts.
I’ve never experienced that. All the way up to diamond I never lost more that 3 in a row.
Is there any plans for pvp? Right now it feels like we are waiting months for some number tweak balance passes. Then some change to the MM system.
Warriors are underpowered right now because of the insane power creep every other class has experienced.
Anet just put me on a team with 3 other revs, all solo queue. What match making.
On my warrior i got all the way up to t4 shappire with only losing 2 games.

Overall pretty balanced, requires a bit of skill to pull off. One thing that I think could take a hit is HeadButt (beserker elite). The base damage (according to the wiki) says that it does about 1.9k damage. That is on a 20 second cd that breaks stun, fills adrenaline to the max, and stuns for 3 seconds. That is a bit too much imo. I think it could take either a damage nerf, increase the cd, or reduce the stun. It is a bit too much.
Another thing is Gunflame. I have many times run into a battle, been hit by a 13k gunflame, which really takes the fun out of the fight. I think it could use a slight damage nerf.
Other than those two things war seems pretty okay.

Awesome, I wouldn’t know because I don’t play war, but how would you like warrior to be buffed without it becoming too overpowered?

Anet does really need to step up on content side of pve. We havnt gotten in new good maps. Stronghold with one map is really all they have to show for a couple of years. And may people believe stronghold is a failure. I’d like to see something more fun like RA from gw1, bring some type of solo queue back.
The only problem with matches right now is people who are toxic and think they are better ruing the matches for everyone else. I cant tell you how many time I’ve had to play with some “top teir” player that thinks they are amazing due to being on some team. They if they don’t win from the outset they complain and afk. All i want is casual fun matches. Please add back ranked so the toxic no lifes can go back to there and let me play in peace.
Whatever buff they have in mind or dont have in mind, we will probably have to wait another season for it.

You made a post about balance but everything yoy said was to make the rev stronger in every category with unlimited condi cleanse. The class is already basically immune to condi when played correctly.
Actually you are only good against condi when playing as mallyx. If you want to play the power shiro/glint build you have 0 condi clear or resistance, considering staff 4 is still broken and doesn’t clear the 2 conditions it should. That being said Mallyx does need a nerf, so does shield 5 along with other things like hammer 2. If rev gets buffed anywhere it needs to be in Jarlis and Ventari.

Worst part about bunk mes is that you can down an enemy player but the mes will res them in a second and you can’t do kitten about it what so ever.
Just like Build Templates. Everyone will agree they really want it, but alas anet will do nothing. Instead we will get another kittenty gamemode added that will be eventually removed or break.
You always been able to kill a wall with ballista. Done it multiple times
Didn’t help your ele when versed in stone proc’d. That also means the rev was using determined resolution which reduces dmg taken by a further 10% when he went below 75%. He was also using devistation which would apply vuln to you and increase his damage by 7% and also steal health due to minor traits. Those along with more traits like Vicious lacerations and assassin’s presence helped boost the sword damage even in the absence of power. Not discrediting the swords strength but this is a stupid test with no controls.

Splitting balance makes balance easier but it doesn’t make it a good decision. The problem with split balance is that it is extremely hard on new players, which isn’t good if you are trying to grow your playerbase.

All new player do is get a build from meta battle anyways. I doubt many of them will even realize a pve pvp split.
This is why most competitive games have a different queue for pre-mades.

Except you are facing premades.
Instead of buffing war and thief they need to nerf everything to their level. Slow the game down from the random skill spam it has become.
Right now pvp feels like this. Go to metabattle, pick the most op build for your spec. Mash all your skills off cd and hope your teammates are doing the same.Then pray you, for some reason, win.

Things need tweaking, but lets be real. Every single class in the game has threads calling for it’s nerf. The 20k gunflame thread being the warrior one.
You have to realize that no player base will ever believe that asynchronous classes can be balanced. Players will go to great lengths to be able to declare one class better than another.
Balancing a game is easy, getting the playerbase to believe that it’s balanced is impossible.Besides having a perfectly balanced game may not even be what you want.
Last i checked gun flame hits around 6k full zerk. Only time it was hitting 20k was when it was bugged in the beta…
It’d be great if you clarified what is going through dodges.
CoR is 100% too strong. Its carrying bad revs atm and they are trying with their all to keep it from getting nerfed.
Why, if you are playing pvp what do you need masteries for. Nothing will be worse for pve’ers than people who somehow have all the masterys without stepping foot in pve and not knowing anything about what they are doing.
OP, make a favor to yourself and others – go read some guides regarding how conditions work.
Because if 653 damage per tick is a lot for you then I suggest stop pvping.
This thing would take like 10 mins to kill an afk Warrior with Healing Signet.
Sure maybe not a lot of damage for a damaging condi, but the thing is chill also slows you and increases cool-downs…

The problem hoogley boogley is that rev is extremely easy and forgiving to play. You’re not even that good at it and you’re getting hate.
Extremely easy? How so, please tell. I wouldn’t say managing energy and the risk/reward high cost skills have or having to swap between weapons and utilities independently is particularly easy. Rev is a class that requires high apm and the know of how much energy should be saved up to be able to break stuns and negate damage in hectic fights. A reckless rev will spam his skills with find them-self with no cds or energy to be able to survive focus. The only thing making rev easy atm is that people aren’t going out of their way to learn the class and how to bait or counter them and rather are just complaining.

You can play for free. Doesn’t mean the game is a f2p model. Mike O’Brien specifically said they are still considering themselves a buy to play product. So essentially your entire argument is invalid.
