I think I need to lay down
Yeah I’d agree with what has been said, buy it directly off Anets official website. I have bought it in Japan and there have been no issues. Judging by the horrendous markup for physical copies of PC games over here, and the dubious quality assurance, getting it from this site is just safer and likely cheaper.
Good luck!
You, as commander, receive a missive from a forward scout.
“Hey Braham, great news! Even when your mother is malnourished and imprisoned for days, she still has what it takes. It says that the Vinetooth struck, but it hit only air.”
Braham – “Oh that’s a relief, I thought-”
You, interrupting. “Stegalkin, Eir Stegalkin. The vinetooth struck and hit Eir. Like, right through her midsection.”
Braham – “What?! I -”
You – “Oh my god, there is air inside Eir! That’s totally like inception right?! Wait, Braham, where are you going?”
Id like to get into a group to do Mai Trin 100 too, I’m at lvl 64 and the level grinding is taking ages. I have 150AR and am on NA.
Yeah I just ran into the entry 13 bugged event, and if the bugged event remains broken longer every time someone comes close enough to see the HP bar, it will never be clear, as every person starting the jumping puzzle comes close enough by default. Very disheartening to be on either side of this event, the people waiting or the people unknowingly stumbling upon it.
This happened to me just now, died because of the fear effect and couldn’t rez. I didn’t want to wp because it was very close to mordremoth’s demise, so lost out on all rewards and pods. Definitely not cool with such a long meta event, needs to be fixed asap.
Yes, I just updated the game now and as soon as I try to log in with one of my characters, it goes into strobe mode, unable to close, task manager wont respond to anything, and I am forced to manually turn off my PC.
Completely unplayable.
With skin of bark, the darkest sheen
Splayed with moss at most unseen
With wit as dry as leaves of tinder
And a tongue so sharp to leave a splinter
With a gaze of amber, grim and golden
Of which the whole world is beholden
With the surest of strength, marvel of sight
Caladbolg gripped in furious might
Trahearne, the one, both wondrous and fell,
Utters but a whisper, “This wont end well”.
It’s not a feature patch, we will be introduced to trahearne’s poetry corner.
Calabolg is here
In my hands it glows anew
Stealing all credit
Moving on

Perhaps think of it like this, the boxes you opened to get the ornaments had plenty, you just kept one yourself for the collection, and the whole giving the ornaments back could have been taken care of off screen. Much like how heart events are handled out in the world.
I got an Azurite Orb from the 2nd generosity gift I opened, so…yeah its pretty excellent!
Join CRZY, each member is equipped with a thimbleful of distilled awesomeness. Any more and the world as we know it would cease to exist, ripped apart by waves of uncontrollable excellence and talent.
True story.
Oh right, good catch. I don’t have much experience playing with charr, so it slipped my mind. I’ll change it!
Before he had been posted out to this god forsaken land of endless dunes and voracious wildlife, he had never thought much of the charr. He had been conditioned by years of pro human propaganda all through his early life trying to scrape together a meagre earning to live by, and all through his military career.
But that all changed when he met the gruff, unshakeable warrior he had come to know as his friend. Oh, it hadn’t happened overnight, years of racial prejudice do not evaporate without time. It had taken many long months sharing a small space, and moments of terrifying carnage, but it had happened nonetheless.
Now he counted the brave veteran as one of his closest friends, and if he was completely honest with himself, one of his greatest role models.
The time came when they were called upon to defend their outpost from a particularly vicious assault from the mordrem, horrific creatures of nightmare. He remembered crouching in one of the trenches, awaiting the call to arms, when the charr reached over and clasped his arm.
“Take this,” he said, holding out a folded piece of paper, his voice a booming bass, stark against the high screeches of the beasts on the offensive. “Give it to my mate in case I don’t make it back.” The man shook his head, and told him to give it to her himself when this was all over, but the charr looked into his eyes with a quiet intensity. “Promise me you will do this. For our friendship, promise me.”
So he did.
After the battle, he found himself sitting on a chunk of rubble, turning over the note in his hands.
His friend had not returned.
He debated with himself whether or not to read what the charr had written, eventually deciding to have a look so he may have a better understanding of what to tell his family.
When he read what his friend had written, tears came unbidden to his eyes, and he sat there, quietly weeping.
There was only one line.
“Thanks for pitching in.”

Picture this in your mind.
You take your significant other to a secluded place, an intimate setting, just the two of you. She looks around, taking in the sights.
As she does, you go down on one knee and take her hand.
It trembles slightly, as you look deeply into her eyes, and say those four magical, wonderful, amazing, terrifyingly perfect words….
“Thanks for pitching in”.
We get up to all sorts of shenanigans, and more people means even MORE shenanigans. Join up today!
A couple ways to make it as easy and painless as possible in the shadow dragon fight using a ranger…
Use longbow, the range will help you stay away from the vines to the point where you will very rarely take damage. As for the large one’s aoe attacks, you can easily walk out of the circles before they hit (they have a very long arc).
As soon as the mordrem wolf spawns, attack it with as much burst damage as possible and down it as quick as you can, it can really ruin your day if you don’t deal with it asap. Same goes for the thrasher to a lesser extend, longbow keeps you out of most of the danger if you max range it.
When the dragon is vulnerable, you can barrage, then rapid fire as soon as the channel is finished, with good damage this will bring it to the next stage.
And finally, if you have a lot of problems fighting the dragon in the middle of the room, there is a relatively safe point (in the northwest I believe) where you can avoid most of the dragons attacks. Still have to dodge or block the ground stomp though.
I’m pretty sure the gathering booster just gives you extra chops at the tree, it doesn’t give a better chance at rares per chops, just an increased chance through quantity of gathers. The swiftness is nice a nice touch.
No other class…..has such harsh penalties…..attached to the use of their class mechanic…..
I’d trade adrenaline for a rangers pet!
said no warrior ever.
If you truly cared about someone who would be more affected by what you just saw, and you had seen them coming towards you, I don’t think its unreasonable to start thinking about them rather than yourself. People go into crisis management mode at times like these.
Example, as Marjory comes over to Kasmeer, Kasmeer glances over at her. At that time, she should have grabbed her and told her not to look, maybe hold her head from turning and try to lessen the impact of what she is about to see.
My main thought was why didn’t Kasmeer try to intercept Marjory before she saw the corpse rather than stand there like a slack jaw idiot. If you had seen your significant others sister mutilated and crushed, wouldn’t you try and spare them the sight of it until they were sufficiently prepared for some bad news?
Hmm this probably wont see the light of day, since it was moved from the relevant thread… it only really works in the wvw forum :P
Didn’t the -INVULNERABLE- message pop up? Given that no one in the zerg noticed the blue flames before they engaged, wouldn’t this be a bit of a tip off?
As for defense against guard buff, I don’t think it would do much to mitigate the damage, those RI lords hit pretty hard.

And while you’re at it, why not get some of her skin to make a dress Wild Bill?
(It puts the lotion on its skin….)
I have done this fight about 6 times now, 3/6 times the no tricks achievement was instantly lost due to loading into the lazer and auto downed. One of the other times the invulnerable adds from the multi hologram section mingled in with different holograms so I probably missed it there.
But for 2 runs, I know I haven’t been hit by any lazer or used attunements wrongly, still haven’t been awarded the achievements.
I don’t want to be one of those people that stands by the door…..
The cores are already going way up.
I have had a similar experience, did the knight events 3 times in a row, hit all 3 knights with a lot of damage, didn’t go down or die or anything else to stop my DPS, in a full party and not a single chest from any of the knights.
That’s 0/9. 9 Knights killed. No loot. There should not be any mechanics to stop loot being given if you have participated enough to get gold contribution.
We need to be reimbursed for this, since its a lot of time spent for loot that is never given.
This needs to be fixed, simple as that.
That guy had better make a bad salad joke, there won’t be time to feel like it later.
Yeah, autoloot works, thanks very much! Though it would be nice for a fix so we don’t have to pick up everything we come across with bag space going at a premium.
Im having the same issue, I couldn’t get a single badge of honor out of the chests after taking a tower.
From player loot bags it was fine, just the ground chests were the problem.
It seems you misread my point entirely, this thread was mainly aimed at trying to balance out the hate that we as players receive for playing rangers. Yes the profession is broken and has a lot of useless baggage, but for those of us who play them it would be a nice change to have people actually see that we are making the best of a bad situation, even doing well enough to be accepted into certain situations such as dungeons. Rangers as a profession may be bad on multiple levels, but players who play ranger are not automatically bad by default.
And yes I know its in the wrong section, it was moved for reasons beyond my control and comprehension
It was something tacked onto the end of the post, not the reason for the post entirely, good job on getting it shunted into the dark wanze, maybe there are more threads that need their location changed. Go on the hunt!
On the contrary, it should be a healthy, light hearted way to try and reverse all the misconceptions and unwarranted hate that keeps coming our way, if it were buried in the ranger forums it wouldn’t really serve its purpose.
As many people know, rangers have had a fair amount of flak over the last few months, some of it deserved, and a lot of it (in my oh so humble opinion) not.
How about we take a deep, fresh breath and take a look at the things people like about the ranger, perhaps share a story about when a ranger managed to save the day, or just anything else that happened that was cool that may have been caused directly, or indirectly, by a ranger.
At best we could lift the spirits of a downtrodden profession, at worst… Anet will be able to see just how much we need the buffs.
To be fair, the ranger class is not balanced, we have too many useless traits and the good ones need a heck of a lot of investment to work, where as other classes can splash 10 points and get excellent utilities (Looking at you guardian! Wall of reflect with master of consecrations).
If we could have a work over of a lot of counter intuitive skills on weapons, utilities and a consolidation of traits (eagle eye and lb/sb cooldowns etc), we could begin closing the gap. If pet AI was altered to be far more responsive it would help even more.
Rangers make do with what we have, and some of us can do it really well despite the popular misconception that they suck.
We need a lot of work, but the ranger class is worth fighting for.
It seems that ranger hate is down to mob mentality. Its like propaganda, if you are bombarded with it on a daily basis, you believe it with no real grounding. Sure you may have seen a bad ranger every now and then, but you’ve also most likely seen every class have a few bad apples.
Ive heard commanders in WvW state that “Rangers are crap, they should just go off and die”, and of course the zerg following takes that on board without question since their commander said it was so. People who play rangers and play them well don’t want to have to continually put up with scrutiny and a “guilty of being bad until proven otherwise” way of thinking.
As for saying every class can do things better than a ranger, you obviously haven’t explored the class to its potential, and nothing I could say, or anyone else, would ever change your mind until you open it to the possibility that that statement could be wrong.
The class can put down a fire field, a water field and blast it with one of the better party buff skills (warhorn #5), it can give a continuous partywide buff to precision that doesn’t have to be reapplied and doesn’t take up a utility, it can add a fair amount of partywide might with blasting fire fields and using jungle stalker mighty roar, good ability to evade with shortbow and sword….there are many things a ranger can bring to the table if you would “allow” them to actually show what they can do without bias.
That being said I would LOVE a buff, Anet.
How about “Where’s the Tail?!” or maybe “Extreme Gardener”
Austin Powers isn’t that old…… is it?
When we finally get to kill Scarlett she will drop a Gift of Wood.
Calling it!
Well, that or a stack of ruined logs…
I’m pretty sure it has never been possible to open a fractal with a level higher than your own personal level, the player with access to the higher levels needs to be the one who opens it.
Hmm this seems very familiar somehow…
Will you choose to:
Destroy the tower
Control the tower
Send out a synthesis spore to combine all the races of Tyria into one master race.
Just remember not to put the genophage in by mistake.
Your choices matter!
If I may direct you to the title of the thread, and the first sentence, it clearly asks peoples opinions on the best weapons to use, not just whether it is worth it to upgrade.
As for weapons, I find Longbow is a lot of fun, especially when traited with piercing arrows and fitted with a superior sigil of fire.
Alternate weapon setup I use is the sword/warhorn for dungeons due to the 5th skill being such a nice blast finisher, combined with a flame trap you get a nice few stacks of might, or if you use the healing spring it adds a little area healing.
For general PVE Axe/axe also has some very nice combinations with the trap fields you can put down.
Only you can decide if the time and effort is worth it to upgrade them to ascended/legendary. If you use the weapons all the time and just want the best stats on offer, its worth it, but if you don’t feel that the slight stat boost brings much to the table, its not a must have. Legendaries are all about personal taste and goals.
Hope that helps!
If you were a wandering hero, from an RP standpoint, and wanted to keep the innocent safe from harm and suffering, wouldn’t you want to go out of your way, even change your intention of killing bandits, to destroy the much more menacing enemies threatening said NPCs you were talking about? I don’t know but it seems to me that doing things with RP in mind you would be MORE likely to go and kill those krait, since they are most definitely the worst problem facing the area.
Of course, if you were roleplaying a Robot and only intended to do the very narrow and specific things the heart npcs asked you to do, you could just do that. Its all about how you want to go about it.
The upside of having more players who want to play wvw means that in the off hours your server isn’t as likely to lose everything, so you wont always have to log on to a completely captured Borderland or EB territory. That said, the queues are pretty long. But hey, silver linings!
Can I get an invite to this guild? Oceanic time would be much easier for me to get to than server time.
Vas Malkesh is my character name. Thanks!
I just have to say I joined this guild very recently and the first time I jumped into a teq fight with them it was a success. Such a huge relief after a lot of failed attempts on overflows and even main maps.
Doing good things this guild!
Hey there, id like an invite if there are still places available, I’ve been in groups that have managed to kill him but I don’t have the greatest timezone. Id like to take him out as much as possible, looking at you greatbow of the sunless!
