We all agree that melee staff wielders ( revs and daredevils) should have other animations instead of the recycled hammer one… This was asked ever since the first time staff was seen on the rev. Will we get new animations? Wait & see. :-)

While I agree with the OP and many other here, I’d like to take a moment to point out something I think is not being taken into consideration.
The Voice Actress for Glint is an amazing fit. I think given Glint’s Personality that a appropriate voice actress was found, However, when Glint is supposed to be making noises that a Dragon makes (assuming dragons were real mind you you), those of us in the community request that the Sound Team make something appropriately bestial.
There are examples of this everywhere in media, and even the Death Dragon of Orr had some great effects.
Again, The Voice Actress is a great fit for the conversational lines.. but when it comes time to kick some kitten , we need that beastly side to come out!
I agree with you. The voices are ok to me, even though I would be really happy if they tweaked these voices a little bit to make them sound more like some sort of a distant echo. This would give us more immersion to the legends. But Glints roar… for me this just has to go ! I would even be happy if they just replaced it with a roar of one of the dragon bosses we already have in game ( like Tequatl, Shatterer, Claw of Jormag or Zhaitan).
I like the idea of hearing the voice of the legend you’re chanelling, but Glint sounds horrible, especially when she makes that “screaming/growling” sound. This gets especially annoying when hearing it over and over again. Could we please get a sound that’s worth of Glint ? Otherwise just remove that growling thing please
Zodiac armors look really cool. Although I will never buy it ( just like most players out there ) because the undyeable blue parts. This fact makes the customization extremely restricted. Not everybody likes that flashy blue. I still don’t get the logic on that decision, since A-net will get a much lesser profit this way. If those blue parts were dyeable, much more players ( me included ) would gladly buy it. Maybe if this thread gets more reaction from the community, A-net will listen and eventually make it all dyeable ( fingers crossed ).
To the OP: Saying that Greatsword is the only useful weapon on Warriors proves that you are totally ignorant about this profession. No offense meant, but this looks more like another QQ-nerfwarriorsplz post.
UTILITY SKILLS ( only a few examples )
-Paralyse: shadowstep behind your target and stun it for 10 seconds, any direct damage reduces the stun effect by 2 seconds
-Imbued palm: deal damage to your target and push him back X meters away
-Imbue allies : Release all your mystic energy and grant nearby allies random auras for an amount of time depending of your mystic energy level when the skill was activated
-Mystic wave: channel a ray of mystic energy while your mystic energy bar is not empty of it, dealing damage to foes and healing allies
ELITES
-Avatar: You become one with the mystic energy. For the next 20 seconds, your weapon skills act as if you activated your F1. You also apply a random boon and heal nearby allies every 4 seconds.
-Mystic veil: cleanse all your conditions, gain all boons and become invulnerable to incoming conditions for 10 seconds. Does not affect direct damage.
-Mirror image: Create a Clone of yourself who will copy your weapon skills and attack your target for the next 25 seconds.
Here you go, let me know what you guys think of it !
Cheers !

Class mechanics:
Armor: Leather
F1 Imbue weapon – Similar to necromancer F1, Your mystic energy bar will fill while you’re fighting. You can toggle it on and off whenever you want, except when the bar is empty of course. While active, all your weapon skills have bonus effects, described in the weapons section. You will have to wisely choose the skills you want to use while Imbue weapon is active, since its duration is quite limited.
Weapons ( could add Greatsword and Hammer aswell, but I’m kinda sleepy right now ^^’ ). Note that I didnt go far with numbers such as damage, durations etc etc, not a pro at that…

Hi everyone,
I’m aware that there are tons of class suggestions already, but I wanted to share mine. I’m not sure of the name for this class, since I was thinking of a Monk, but there are already Monks in GW1, and mine has not much to do with them…
So I settled on The Mystic: a primarly melee mystical warrior themed as something between asian ninjas, samuraï and monks. I must admit, I absolutely love the class style of the monks from games such as Diablo3 or WoW, and I would love to see something similar in GW2. So here’s my version:
The Mystic.
Background: These swift and agile warriors find their origins in Cantha. The Canthan government chose a politics of isolation from the rest of the world since the rise of Zhaitan and Orr. Mystics were the elite protectors of Canthan people against the continuous undead invasions. Now that Cantha reestablished contact with other parts of the world ( Yes, yes, I’m looking ahead in the future expansion where Cantha will become available ^^), the secrets of mysticism became available to the most willing and brave heroes.
Does the Boss Week last for 1 week or 2 weeks like the usual living world content ?
I feel you ! While collecting his teeth I was constantly telling myself “Jeez, Tequatl has serious dental problems!” =D
You can’t do the fight without the turrents. You neither can do it without enough people to defend the charging megalaser. You can’t do it without the , lets say 80 people who on one hand tend to lower the boss’ HP, and on the other hand defend the 6 guys on the turrents.
Concerning the eventual trolls who just sit on their turret spamming 1, they will end up dead imho, so far I saw, people who don’t know what to do on their turrets don’t survive long enough :-)
Wait until the final chest drops.
On a more serious note, yes this fight is worth a dragon. However I see a nerf coming. Not mainly because de boss is way too hard, but because most people are way too used to no-brain bosses where you can be drunk/stoned/high/asleep and watch TV at the same time and still kill it with no effort. Bosses like Tequatl or Claw of Jormag or The Shatterer etc., should have been this hard as from the beginning. I really hope this one doesnt get nerfed and more content like this follows. This looks more like HL PvE, and I hope the rewards are worth it too…
The suggestion is in the title. I don’t understand the logic behind not being able to dye achievement armor pieces, would be glad if someone could explain it to me.
I imagined all possible reasons for that, but none of them made sense. The most common one being the idea that the white halo part on radiant armor pieces are not easy to dye, but when you use the “color change” function of the Box o’ Fun or other consumables that change your characters color, the achievement armor pieces ( and the halo parts ) change their color accordingly, so I don’t understand why we can’t dye them the way we want.
Being quite a fan of radiant armor pieces, it’s very disappointing to have to stick to one color pattern in order to make your whole armor set accord with these.
Please please A-net, let us dye our achievement armor pieces
I made a post on reddit and it seems it got a rather positive response overall, so I wanted to bring it here, too and know what you folks think about it.
So, I love GW2 etc etc etc, BUT…
As many posts on reddit and on the gw2 forums say, low level zones are actually dead and lvl 80 players has absolutely no reasons to go there except if they’re completing their exploration stuff. The way to improve the situation like it is now is to create some kind of daily quests/missions which would encourage players to do something else than farming fractals/orr events over and over again.
They should implement something equivalent to the Zaishen quests from GW1. For those who didnt play GW1, Zaishen quests are daily quests that will ask you to go do some stuff in X or Y zone, and those quests change every day, those daily missions could also involve specific daily explorable dungeons runs.
Imho, to implement it in GW2 and not totally copy/paste the feature from GW1, they could implement equivalent stuff in relationship with the Order you chose during your personal story. This would also make Tyrian Orders more “active” in the game, because at the moment, we just forget them once we go past our personal storyline. ( “Hi, I am a Warmaster of the Vigil. Wait, can you tell me what the Vigil is, again?” ).
As an example:
Every day you can get a mission/quest from your order, which would not be the same for each order, that to not to make only 1 zone overcrowded daily, and leave the rest of the world in its “dead state”. For instance:
Order of Whispers will ask you to go and infiltrate some Fire Legion camp and get a certain amount of documents by talking to some Flame Legion charr or by killing them in X zone, and after you get enough documents you will be asked to go and deal with some veterans or a boss in Y zone, or stuff like that.
The Vigil will ask you to do a bunch of completely other stuff and in other zones than the Order of Whispers.
Same thing for the Priory.
It would basicly be a kind of daily “heart” quests, which requires a little bit more time and effort than the regular “hearts” which take like 5 minutes to accomplish, while those Order “hearts” will require the player to spend something around 1 hour of playing every day and award you with some rewards like loot chests or tokens which you can spend to buy some cool stuff (like Zaishen keys from GW1 which would give you rare/exotic armor/weapons or cores/lodestones upon opening a zaishen chest ). This would also increase the amount of rares/exotics to gamble with for ectos or Mystic Forge and the amount of precursors players get and therefore decrease their insane prices on the Trading post.
This would get at least 2 problems solved ( more or less ): – Players will have an incentive to return to low level zones in order to do these daily quests ( and since I posted there would be at least 2 different zones for each order to visit ( or why not more ) it would make at least 6 different zones to be crowded daily which would make it more fun both for new players and veterans who are all tired of doing Fractals or stick to Orr events over and over again.
-As I said, there will be a new way to get rare/exotic items, cores/lodestones and t6 fine craft materials which would be way more fun than grinding same stuff whole the time. Now for those chests I spoke about, don’t get me wrong, I don’t want them to drop exotics every time you open one, but will still have a rather good chance to drop them. Cuz honestly, prices for exotics and especially precursors are just insane at the moment. Dusk at around 450 gp, count also the lodestones who are at around 2 gp each. So, without counting the prices for globs of ectoplasm + the 250 of each t6 mat, this is already around 650 gp for Twilight? Count around 150 gp more for making the clovers + 250 ectos + t6 mats, and thats around 800 gp for your legendary greatsword. Thats just insane. Most people want to be able to play the GAME to get their legendary, and not to play the TRADING POST.
So those are my thoughs that could ( in my opinion ) improve the game experience for all GW2 players and make the game a lot more fun.
Let’s hear your thoughts about how to make GW2 a better game :-)
Cheers
First of all, I’m not flaming in any way about the Legendary weapons, just posting my suggestion that concerns them…
So I already have my legendary weapon on my elementalist. I remember one of the dev’s stated somewhere that legendary weapons are there to show how good and skillfull the player who’s able to get one is. But actually, legendary weapons only show how rich we are ( or were ) and how many looong days we spent on farming the same events/spots over and over again. I didnt mind to farm/grind for my legendary, but I really feel like the future legendary weapons should be more based on your regular gameplay and your skill, rather than on the amount of gold you have ( make us do a super hard and extremely long “quest” to be able to get that precursor ), cuz let’s be honest, not everyone enjoys or is able to play with the Action House, most people prefer playing the GAME. Then I find that the RNG factor in GW2 is pushed a little bit too far. I’m not only speaking about precursors here, I’m going in general here. I spent 1000+ hours in the game, and in total I saw something like 3 exotic world drops and the price there fore never exceeded 4 gold, I have a friend that started playing like 3 weeks ago and is lvl 80 like for a little bit more than 1 week now, he dropped Dawn AND The Legend, got 2 endless “things” in the Christmas chests and got 2x Abyss dye already… I mean, yeah luck is good, but I sometimes feel like the game is almost entirely dependend on your luck and you being loved by the RNG-gods…
So my final point: I absolutely love this game but my bad luck is often ruining all stuff, please A-net, make the game less dependent on luck, and more on player’s skill/gameplay.
And on a personal note concerning future legendary weapons: MORE stuff like Twilight/Sunrise/Juggernaut and LESS stuff like MyLittlePoney bows and DiscoBall maces please :’)
Why are people constantly redirecting players who want raids to go in WvW ? That’s like the most pathetic comment I ever saw. So you’re suggesting a player who’d like to see more large scale organized PvE content to go and participate in mostly zergy PvP content ? Very helpful indeed.
To the OP, I’d like to see some sorts of more hardcore PvE content added to the game. Though, it doesnt have to involve huge raids ( like 40 people or something ), raid content with like 10 to 15 people would be enough imho.
All is in the title. Not sure if there has been a post like this already though…
I really don’t see any reason why the backpieces should not be salvageable :/
Vizunah doing great : /
AS is doin’ even better this morning :’)
Hi I’m playing a human male elementalist and I found 2 visual bugs when wearing my armor.
1st one ( see attached file ): Wearing one of those “Zhed’s / Mhenlo/etc” masks. The eye brows of my character come on conflict with the mask as you can see. I suppose this is because I remember making my characters eye brows thicker and the masks stays in the “standard” face proportions.
2nd one, see second attached file, : I’m wearing Crucible of Eternity leggins and again ZHed’s chest piece, and as you can see there is a void space visible on the belt level, between the leggins and the upper body. Hope it will get fixed soon :-)
Cheers,
Adén
Dude ! I love you !
I totally forgot about the Chantry… Thanks a lot
I got every single zone at 100%, got all new POI in the new zone and LA and I’m stuck with 718/719 POI and thus 99% of world completion… /sadpandaface :’(
Hi, I’m stuck with 99% map completion, I’ve got 718/719 points of intrest, even though I’m sure I completed every single map ( PvE and WvW ). I also completed the new zone and the 2 new points of intrest in LA. Just ran through every zone in case I forgot a point somewhere but everything is at 100%. HELP
I’m not putting a single rare item into the mystic forge anymore since i burned hundreds rare staves into it in hope to get the precursor for my Bifrost, still havent got it though
All is in the title. I’ve got a bunch of gold amulets/rings in my bags and i can’t salvage it or sell it on TP since its bound when acquired. Though I’m not sure if it’s a bug or an indended feature. If it’s the second one, I wish to know the logic behind it. Any official response given on the subject yet?
Thanks and my apologies if i’m posting this on the wrong forum
I agree that its not the most entertaining event of the game, but for me it was the only viable farming place, now it is no more
Yea now farming becomes really hard
Hey,
I’m not into whining on the forums usually, but now I just can’t hold it somehow…
With my elementalist, I used to enjoy farming Shelter / Penitent events… until the Halloween patch. I dropped 2-3 rare items per event most of the time.
Well since the last patch, this changed radically.
1) The mobs attack as soon as they spawn. Ok, its not a big deal, adds some difficulty to the event, BUT, they also often spawn invulnerable while continuing their attacks, which is less fun, and as staff elementalist, I’m only able to tagg mobs well when they spawn, when they’re packed well, but now, half of them are invulnerable, the other half are running in all directions which makes it impossible to tag properly.
2) I also got the impression that rare drop rates were lowered a lot. In 3 days, I only dropped 2 rares with a full MF gear + food…. In my opinion, if nothing is done to fix that, the PvE will be completely dead since it’s mostly based on farming once we get our exotic gear. I’m trying to farm my Bifrost, but with The Legend being at around 450 gold at the moment and the ridiculously low farming performance, it just kills me…
Any thoughts or official responses ?
Well, I personally love this game. I’ve got 2 level 80 chars and am not bored at all, but those points I quoted in my previous message would ( at least for me ) make this game much much MUCH better.
Though I totally agree with you about having to wear kitteny MF gear and putting my normal and cool looking gear aside in order to be efficient in farming
Hi, being a big fan of GW2 and PvE ( PvP is fun too, but i’m one of those guys who gets tired of PvP after an hour of it or something) I think it should be more rewarding and interesting for people to do it. At the moment, the only “effective” way of getting gold ( and gold means almost EVERYTHING in this game) is to farm zerg DE’s in Cursed Shore, and I have to admit that it’s NOT fun, it’s a competition of big aoe fest and is totally against the A-net’s philosophy of “everyone getting same rewards etc etc”. Beside, dungeons are fun, but arent worth running after u get all your desired gear set. Big meta events like Jormag’s Claw are not worth runnin’ since the reward is not interesting at all ( i never got any better stuff in reward chests than a few green items with full MF gear. Even though i would find it fun going back to some low level zones I enjoyed while leveling, it’s not worth it cuz i would loose money compared if i just stayed in CS. So, in my opinion, the following points could help GW2 become a better game and be much more interesting for people who enjoy its PvE side:
-Increase the HP’s of mobs in “zerg” DE’s so that mobs live a little longer than 1 second when they spawn.
-Add some reward “chests” or something at the end of each event.
-Optimize the drop based on your level in lower level zones and make lower lvl DE’s give us the same rewards as the lvl 80 ones.
-Make crafting more interesting, at the moment it’s nothing but a loose of money imho.
-Add some kinds of chests to the dungeon vendors which would drop rare crafting mats/ecto’s/rares/exotics. That would make people want to run dungeons even after being fully geared.
-Make mobs account for you after you hit it at least one time ( no matter the damage you did to it ). This would make zerg events globally more rewarding and friendly to the classes that cant pull out some huge aoe constantly.
-Make dungeons drops better.
-Make better rewards in the chests at the end of meta events. ( Yeah it’s kinda disappointing when doing Jormag’s Claw event for more then 15 minutes and get only a few blue items in return, while I can get easily 4+ rares in one single event in, let’s say, shelter’s or plinx event in CS ).
-Maybe add raids in the future. Even though GW2 is not a gear grind, imho it would be very cool to have some really challenging PvE stuff to do that would reward players with some cool looking gear and be a farming alternative. ( Think about GW’s Temple of Ages zones, Urgoz labrynth etc etc…)
Now i’m running out of ideas, feel free to share some thoughts and add your own opinions about how to make GW2 a better game
Cheers !
Ok, so I’m farming for my legendary, but i can’t buy any obsidian shards since the Temple of Balthazar is contested whole the time on my server… I’m not ito changing server just to get those shards, nor can I motivate people doin’ those events in the 1st Orr zone. We should face the fact that most people are farming Cursed Shore and Malchor’s Leap… So please make obsidian shards available at other temples too please sad panda face °-°
All is in the title. I think killing those harder mobs should be more rewarding in loot, this will motivate people killing veteran and champion mobs instead of trying to avoid them, because they offer the same loot as normal mobs. Made me quite upset when i soloed a champion mob, which took at least 10 minutes, and that mob dropped a grey item that could be sold for like 10 coins…
