I would like to be a thief in WvW. Would you believe me if I told you I actually have two thieves but have no kitten clue how to play one in WvW and not be a free bag. I’ve been a condi necro and power ranger since launch along with a power/condi mes and I’d love to main thief in prep of them potentially getting Rifle as I have Predator. Until then I’d like to be either a successful d/p dare devil or staff dare devil. I am mainly a solo roamer. I’ll zerg surf every now and then but I’d like to be to do good and win my 1’s. I quite GW2 shortly after HOT and I just came back. Was thinking HARD about picking up my Ranger or my Necro. This sealed the deal for me. This was freaking awesome, great job. Going to see if I can make this work for me. All I do is solo roaming so I need a build that’s built for it and this seems to fit the bill. Has anything changed in yoru build since you posted this? Don’t want to copy cat but looking for more guidance than anything else. Thank you for sharing.

Archer’s are always my favorite class in every mmo.. but in this game I feel so hurt with the ranger u dont even understand..

The archer in this game does not exist actually…now the ranger is a paladin and cleric mixed.. WHICH is very boring and takes the role of the ranger.

Maybe don’t follow the meta blindly, have the courage to go out there and actually learn to play ranger . It’s a devastating class in the right hands and build diversity is extraordinary ( most pets sucks though)

1) You cannot expect to pewpew 24/7, the ranger is a devastating class because can swap from melee to range without losing pressure and the swapping it’s not random

2) You actually need to know how to counter other professions

I run the same exact build in PvP and own left and right every 1vs1, I cover a different role respect to staff druid which is a pure healer but I still can hold my own against anybody and with the potential of killing every single meta out there

This kitten is sad and breaks my heart. Took like a 3 month break from the game to come back and find my main is now not viable for what I love to do. Anet, you kittening suck. I read that Donee quit his Necro and it made me realize just how bad it really is. I feel so lost. Nothing is working for me. I have 6/8 classes and I loved my Reaper the most. From a beta player to Anet….you dropped the ball with this patch.

He’s the best. Reaper is not perfect but it comes close. I was a mesmer main since launch, dibbled and dabbled and made other 80’s and played them for off and on but I was a Mesmer at heart. That all changed when I saw the Reaper. It’s been my main ever since. I have issues with it’s mobility and sometimes I get kited to death in WvW but I love the class none the less. I love it’s design, I love the feel, I love the look of Reaper Shroud. Reaper is love, Reaper is life.

Camelot Unchained backer here. Waiting for CU. I’ve done the Korean MMO scene way to many times and have been let down each time (Aion, Arch Age, etc.) I am really hoping CU turns out to be amazing. As a guy who’s first MMO was DAOC I’m a bit biased but I’m really rooting for this game.

2. Enter Reaper Shroud and apply more condies.
3. Afk and get a drink, text your girlfriend, or rub one out.
4. ?
5. Profit.

Revenants have TERRIBLE condie removal outside of Malyx. And guess what? No one freaking runs Malyx because they broke the god kitten line. 95% of the Revenants you will face will be power based and won’t run Malyx, the other 5% may run it but you should still be able to kill them with little to no effort at all. I don’t fight Necros when I play my Revenant as it’s just going to end with me dead. I see that you’re a power spec, dodge UA as it’s SO easily telegraphed, Hammer skills can be easily dodged as well except for maybe Hammer 2. It’s not hard at all man.

I play a Thief. I know what the class is capable of but please tell me how this is possible.

It’s sad how one change to a core skill of the class pretty much broke it. This change wasn’t needed at all Roy. There are other things that need to be addressed with the class first. Who complained about this? Who did it bother? It was a useful skill for engaging or disengaging fights and chasing runners. What was wrong with it before and why did it need to be changed?

Still cannot get in. Hope this gets fixed before I get home from work. This has been affecting me since 11 pm est last night…I understand and relate as I work in IT so I have sympathy.

Bad OP is bad. The skill is fine, can be easily telegraphed if your actually paying attention to the fight you’re in. If a mob or another person adds to the fight the skills dps is cut in half. Please, please cut the crap and L2P!

First, awesome video as usual. Your previous video inspired me to go Kitless and I haven’t looked back ever since. Thank you, thank you! What are your plans to mod this build when HOT drops? I’ve thought of incorporating a drone or two into the build: Stealth drone for assistance with thieves and mesmers and the purge drone for condi cleanse assistance. Was thinking of Alch, Fire Arms, and Scrapper. Running Rifle obviously, being that I won’t have mecha legs I’ll have to use Traveler Runes but they give boon duration so I’d have a total of 35% boon duration which is pretty nice. What do you think about that?

This was impressive as hell. That burst…..bananas. How do you plan if at all, to change this build when HoT comes with the implementation of drones & the scrapper line?

Depends on the race. If you do the right thing and make a revenant Charr, they have some cool racial armors in there :p

Seriously though I was waiting for you to drop this man! Your last couple of videos were amazing and I’m sure this one will not disappoint. Just watched it, this is what I am to be on my Rev when solo roaming. You’re a beast! I love the style and mechanics of Shiro and Glint is just the icing on the cake. I too am looking forward to the 23rd to start a new journey on the Revenant! Reading your text your mentioned staff as a potential sub weapon, do you have any footage of you using S/S and Staff? If so how did that combo work out for you?

Is a roaming WvW Power Rifle HGH Engi possible? Scrap, Alch, Fire Arms doesn’t seem to be able to pull constant swiftness or at least 25% constant movement speed. I’m aiming for a kitless (Mortar can be used so it’s not really that kitless) build focused around 2 elixirs and 2-3 drones. I’ve had great success with it running alch, fire arms, Inventions/Tools but both the latter have some form of movement speed :-(

OP, good job! Those animations look amazing.

It’s either I’ll be going back to my Mesmer or playing a Rev. Almost have enough for a full set of crafted ascended armor but I need to gather mats for a weapon or two. Considering buying a legendary shield that way I can move it between my Chronomancer and Rev. As previously mentioned I love the look, feel, and play style of the Rev.

Enjoy being heal bots. Rev main now confirmed.

Ranger was my first class from beta many moons ago. I loved it even though it was bad. Watched it evolve through the years, it’s gotten better but we’re not where we should be yet. I can only hope that they do this elite spec right and that it’s something we’ll all enjoy.
