Sure, lets put the anet sniper target on one of the few things that allows us to solo roam. I am all for open discussion on all things mesmer but this just seems like a bait thread for the anet monster to om nom nom on PU.

I run it. It’s rather nice, I do miss a more powerful Phant that what the torch has to offer but torch is there for the stealth and surprise element of it’s stealth, ileap, into blurred frenzy combo. What I’m really waiting for is a shut down/interrupt build from Osi! (Yes I know there are some from the other amazing dudes we have the forums as well)

I left GW2 about 6 months ago. I spend all my time in WvW solo roaming. I used to run a Condi PU Mesmer. Loved it. Jumping back into the game everyone now has ascended gear. As you can see I didn’t complete my ascended accessories and now people are running around in full accessories AND armor and weapons. I’m looking to jump back in and play catch up and I know it will take time but I need some guidance. Should I focus on completing my accessories first or move onto the weapons and armor?

Keep in mind I also have a power phant build set here with the following gear as well.

Truth be told I enjoy condi so much more than phant but if the condi spec is no longer viable then I will need to move on. I’d appreciate any guidance you guys can provide. I guess it all balls down to trying to find out what do I run for solo roaming. I have a thief, ele, and necro and they all have the ascended necklace so if moving on from the mesmer is the way to go I can go that route as well.

Its auto attack speed simply needs to match the speed of the Necro scepter. That’s it. I don’t get why Anet hasn’t addressed this yet.

Was good seeing Team Sav out in the field in WvW yesterday, glad you guys are back in T1. Good video bro, I made a Necro as well and have a blast when I play it.

I love you mesmers who run in Zerker gear in WvW! It allows my phantasms to crit you kids for 6k+. To the OP IMO a safe good build for just about anything that does good damage and has good survive rate is 20/20/30 GS/Staff(can run sword pistol with trait adjustments), knights gear, cav/zerker trinkets. 1800 toughness/2730 armor, 3500 power with blood lust stacks, and 73-78% crit damage. Works wonders for me.

Did the 4pc bonus always have a 15 sec cd listed? If not it does now after the 6pm est patch.

You don’t state your goal for the build. You don’t state what direction you’re going with the build. All I we see is a bunch of listed stats, a build, and nothing more. I’m aware of the last fiasco you started and in all fairness that thread deserved to be locked.

kitten like this is why I made another Necromancer that’s human. Gear, Aesthetics, etc. all look like kitten on Asura. So as I write this I’m power crafting a new necro to 80. 40 more levels to go.

With that said will you still run 6 runs due to this info or would you run just 5?

Some might say, “Don’t even joke about that”, it has happened before in what was truthfully deemed the worse nerf in MMO history. Yes! No debate. I initially thought the DAoC Left-Axe Nerf was bad. That one still to this day kittens me off just thinking about it lol.

Star Wars “Creature Handler”. Removed from the game, during an NGE “Complete Balancing” changes to the game’s combat" which left no stone unturned as the devs killed the game.

It’s a long painful story for those that lived it and the games demise, and has no place here but…I’m just saying be careful what you wish for lol.

Anet, kitten you. kitten you. This is just silly now. Instead of nerfing the thief that can deal 8k damage to someone who has 3k armor and over 1900-2000 toughness you keep kittening us over. Over this kitten. My Ranger is nerfed, my ele is nerfed, and my mesmer is nerfed. I guess i should play my easy mode thief…… Don’t care if this gets me banned as I am officially done, characters in the process of being deleted.

I started a Mesmer back in the head start and been playing it ever since. Started way back then kittenter and moved onto Confusion. When the Confusion nerf took place I moved on to the Phantasm build. Now with the nerf to IC I have no clue what the hell to do. Things are not as cohesive as they used to be. I also feel a hell of a lot squishier than I used, I got back stabbed the other day for 8k while having almost 3k armor…..

I tried to come up with various specs for WvW, it’s all I do, I’ve been checking the boards but nothing, NOTHING is working for me. I feel lost. I don’t know what to do. I’ve my condi set, I’ve got my power/prec/toughness set, I’ve got my power, tough, vit set. All with the usual accessorie line ups: cavalier, knights, zerkers, etc.

I’d ideally like to go back to a Phantasm spec but the fact that we have to go 25 points into the freakin Illusions line is absurd, I could understand if it was made 10-15 points into that line but 25??? WHY? Prior to the nerf I ran a standard 0/20/20/25/5 scepter/pistol & staff. Now that spec is rendered invalid and broken because I have to take 20 points out of either Chaos or Inspiration. If I drop Chaos I lose my staff cool downs and lose 200 toughness, if I drop Inspiration I lose 2.5k health and my scepter cool downs. I know we have tons of escape mechanisms but we WILL get hit so regardless of what line I decide to drop my survival takes a hit.

I honestly don’t feel like doing shatter because I’ve always felt it was too squish. I love the burst but IMO it gives up wayyyy to much protection. I’m at a loss here. Any thoughts guys?

What is this…..I don’t even……Ok. Back to Mesmer. The Shortbow nerf was not needed! WTF is this madness? They took possibly the most under powered class in the game and made it….worse. Longbow is a terrible weapon and needs a complete overhaul, not some 15% projectile travel time increase. Again, back to my Mesmer that just 1,2,3,4,5 weapon swap, 1,2,3,4,5 most classes. Throw in a dodge or two and insta win.

This needs to be fixed ASAP!

First of all I want to thank everyone that has supported me and shown interest in my play style, builds, and videos. I’m here only to entertain (and maybe even inspire) other’s who see Guild Wars 2 in the same light as I have.

I am leaving the game. It has been a great ride, and I have nothing but respect and love for Guild Wars 2 and everything that they have offered (and that they have in store for the future).

Real talk, you will be missed my man. You’re an amazing player and a hella down to earth guy. The few times I messaged you, you were always pleasant and respectful and were willing to debate and go over all things Mesmer. Between you, Pyro, Osi, and a few others all Mesmers who visit these forums have come away with so much knowledge. I wish you nothing but the best in life and future games. All of the characters in my sig are 80 with exotics and ascended items. I love my Mesmer the most because of her look, the class mechanic, etc. However I find my Ranger to be the most challenging and the most fun. The Thief is just easy mode and I don’t play her much anymore. With that said there are times when I’m on my Ranger and the few times that I lose a 1v1 I find myself saying “if I was on my mesmer, you’d be dead” lol. Things just go so well together for the mesmer class compared to some others. On my Ranger it’s an uphill battle that 90% of the time I don’t mind, the 10% comes from a lack of stealth that I use all the time on my Mesmer to exit the scene. In summation, yes the Mesmer has spoiled meh!

I do agree that there is a lot of bad rangers out there….I mean a lot..Who will AJ every fight they see…I actually let whoever i’m fighting kill the person who aj’s on them if they can..I’ll pull off and let them beat em..then I tell the ranger he shouldn’t AJ

My personal favorite part yesterday was me fighting a thief, that just killed a ranger…I’m bout to kill the Thief when the ranger shoots him and kills him, i’m like wtf you doing… and he’s like “I wanted revenge for him killing me” and i told him “get revenge by winning the fight”

I don’t think its just rangers though…People in this game just ugg… I don’t know..Maybe i’m just an old foggy having played DAOC…. but I view a lot of people in this game very poorly

It’s funny because if they nerf pets I’ll just go back to my Phantasm Mesmer who does a much better job at pretty much everything. On my BM Ranger I have to work for my kills which I prefer as opposed to my Mesmer where I just spawn Phantasm and run around and kitten dies lol. It’s so absurd. I’ve often questioned Anets balance/QA team because of how they’ve balanced things in the past. I’m going to bet they nerf the hell out of pets and don’t fix anything else for the class. So poor Anet, so poor.

We have master’s bond which is a stacking boon that increases pet stats.

That disappear after pet swapping..Why not have access to master bond all the time and for any pet active?

I just fought this guy, he’s insane. I was on my Mesmer and we fought for like almost 5 minutes before I had to run away. NEVER, EVER have I lost to Ranger before. This guy is on his kitten and is one amazing player. /Bow sir, /bow.

Well, that just broke my whole spec. WTG Anet!

Twilight, Dawn, Volcanus, Vision of the Mists, Corrupted Avenger in that order IMO.

Per my sig I play a Thief and Mesmer both 80 in full exotics. Prior to the Nov. 15th patch Mesmers were 50/50 now they are more like 90/10 now, in my favor. The fact that they changed it so that we cannot spawn Phantasms when blinded has crippled shatter/Phantasm based Mesmers. While the changed can be viewed as a fix to one issue it creates a whole new one when it comes to the functionality of the class and it’s specs. My Thief is D/D spec 10/30/30 for constant stealth and blinding when I stealth and it’s sad how I can steam roll most Mesmers now. As a Mesmer one of the classes biggest faults (depending on spec) is condition removal and my Thief’s spec exploits the hell out that.

With that said when I do play my Mesmer (20/20/0/0/30) unless I’m blinded by a Thief or caught off guard in a crowd I kitten all over a lot of Thieves who are glass cannon spec, one Mind Wrack is enough to kill them it’s hilarious. As a Mesmer you have to use more than just your F1. F2-F4 are key to surviving against burst classes, you HAVE to use them. Distortion saves lives. The game needs balancing in many aspects and i hope Anet addresses this.

Not a single GS Mesmer in my guild (fastest growing WvW guild on the server) has complained about GS being nerfed.
Most of them haven’t even noticed, and only one of them disliked the changes brought in with the patch, and that was the increased portal cooldown.

So it looks like some Mesmers just can’t play the class right or relied too heavily on bugs to win.

Dude, go find a corner. The DEVS have stated there’s an issue with the GS Phantasm. I hope it gets fixed ASAP.
