Where do I go to see if BG is tied with JQ for 1st place in NA Gold?
https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/wvwgold
BG is likely to tie for 3rd with SoS.
the Black Lion Armor guy gives you a town clothes tonic if you talk with them. It’s the same as the default town clothes.
In the key bindings you can set a key to lock onto the current auto target when held down.
I have a question about content access and LS:1-2. They said that they’re going to bring back some of the major things in LS1 for people to revisit? Are the Zephyrites and such what they were referring to?
Also, do I have to be max level in order to take part in the festival?
Don’t worry about that, Living Story stuff up levels characters to 80.
Okay but would not want to have more powerful weapons to progress in one way or another?
I would like to
Because as I see it game over at level 80 instead of startingI see, you’re asking for vertical progression (increasing stats). Most of the people play this game because it doesn’t pump out progressively stronger equipment every few months. If you’re feeling inept at the game it’s either your build or your personal playing style getting in the way. So you need to either theory craft better, look up viable builds, or practice playing more efficiently.
The endgame is doing things you liked while leveling up, like dungeons or map completion. There’s also Fractals and, though not currently, Living Story updates. Level 80 stuff usually focuses on horizontal progression (cosmetics and skills) where you do dungeon runs and world exploration to get traits, skills, and skins to make your character more efficient and look better.
Also WvW and PvP are things to do at any level but could be easier at level 80 if you learned how to play your character better through PvE. If you just want to have fun playing then activities like Southsun Survival or Keg Brawl are also something that’s often forgotten but can sometimes be fun to do.
Keep in mind the game is still in development and so more things to do will come.
I hope there will be more things because pretty boring to me now
Don’t force yourself to play it if it bores you. There’s no subscription so you can stop playing if nothing is going on and come back refreshed.

Social interactions in MMOs? How strange!
At the moment they’re unavailable but I’m sure they’ll make a return eventually.
What if conditions with higher condition damage and duration modifiers took priority and knocked off conditions with lower modifiers at the 25 cap? That way the cap could still stay but allows condition focused builds to not be affected by other builds.
Though, I suppose it still makes having multiple condition builds less than ideal.
It’s probably the Halloween scythe from 2012.
I’ts not. The Destroyer Scythe has a molten theme, like the Destroyers.
I like how people assume Anet isn’t trying to work on fixing the sorting hat servers because they added a new chat option that was added because people were being rude to each other for speaking other languages. In fact, the patch notes even bring up reporting and blocking people because of this.
It’s optional and I’m going to be turning it off, not because I think it’s dumb (from what I’ve seen some people really need this because they’ll tell off anyone who doesn’t speak their language) but that I don’t care if people speak other languages around me.
I’m at work so can’t remember the name, but I bought the fiery armor for two different characters…with gems. Does that armor now become account based and if so I get a refund for one of them?
As long as it’s the same weight class, yes.
Actually I think this makes transmuting level 80 gear easier than before. Considering how rare Transmutation Crystals were, now charges can be earned from exploring towns and PvP reward tracks. If you don’t want to pay for charges then you can earn them by playing the game instead of relying on a RNG reward from a black chest or daily.
When you buy the game you get a serial number. You give that to your cousin so he can make an account.
I’d like Cantha but I’d like Tyria to be finished first.
Blocking everyone except friends or guild members ruins the experience for people around you if they aren’t in one of the few groups that you can actually receive messages from. Since you block all communication from them you become incredibly difficult to work with.
If you really needed to tune out everything around you, then you can do what Smooth Penguin said.
Logan Thackeray is my favorite character.
Is there still going to be guesting? If I want to play with someone specific from another server is there a way I can still guarantee that I can play with them?
Even if there was danger there, living story areas tend to level you up to the required level. You won’t have all the benefits of a level 80 player but it’s enough to hold your own.
I wouldn’t say it rewards dying, it just lowers the penalty. I think there should be a higher penalty for dying though, but that’s probably cause I grew up playing Runescape where you lost all but 3 items when you died.
I also don’t think repair anvils should be in dungeons, even before they remove the cost, but that’s something else.
The critical damage nerf is mostly set up to normalize stats since they were all over the place before. The gold reduction is to balance the loss of the trait reset and repair costs. The changes are probably so small that they wouldn’t even be noticeable.
Also, I don’t run champ trains but doesn’t most of the money come from selling the loot and not from the gold that comes directly from the champ bags?
*Spoilers* Mordremoth final battle leaked.

It would be cool if the magic poisoning cannons didn’t work and they needed a new way to fight the dragon. Already having the gear to kill a dragon seems too easy.
I disagree with that. Europe is a prime example, not to mention Asia. Those states have largely retained their cultural uniqueness for over a thousand years, whether in war or peace. Granted that uniqueness is slipping a little more every day, but it’s no where near becoming marginalized yet. And it’s a good thing, too. Losing that heritage to homogenization would not only be unfortunate, but diluting to humanity.
I’m referring to a world like Tyria where all the races get along without any problems create a perfect mechanism by which ideas and believes can be shared and adopted, thus leading to homogenization.
Also… not so sure Europe get’s along all that well with… well Europe. I also can think of a couple of Asian countries that really really don’t like each other. I might be wrong on both account… I’m very far from Eurasia, so my perspective is different.Well true, but that’s a modern, in-game, phenomenon. They hardly used to get along at all, even within the same race. It actually led to a much more interesting(and believable) setting. This universal hand-holding is swell and all, but I think limiting it to LA and the Orders is the right thing to do. Sometimes I feel like this game exists in a Coke commercial.
If you play as a Sylvari and talk to some NPCs around Lion’s Arch some will be a bit aggressive towards you because of your race.
I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
They’re saying you’re getting a free unidentified dye if some characters have the same dye unlocked already.
I would just like to state that the removal of things from the game should always be announced at least a week in advance on the GW2 launcher.
Personally, I check the forums all the time because I know how bad ArenaNet is with announcements, but you can’t fault new players for not knowing that yet.
I don’t fault new players for not knowing that. I just don’t think ANet should have to fix it for them just because they don’t.
My point is that in the same amount of time it took them to post it on the forums, they could have posted it on the news feed in the GW2 launcher and would have ensured that every one of their players had the news delivered to them (even if the players chose to ignore it, they couldn’t argue that they weren’t told).
I still don’t get why the merchants couldn’t be added back. It would reinforce players “bad habits”? By bad habits you mean not looking at the dev posts like a hawk to see if some of your stuff is going to be deleted. Maybe next time it could be announced IN GAME with a mail or something, or like with glory in the launcher. They wouldn’t have to add any more merchants back then.
Oh, and why is sonder the seller trading stuff like candy corn?
Yes in game would be the best choice but they didn’t and you can’t really change that since it’s come and gone.
Candy corn is a reoccurring collectible, unlike heirlooms and lost belongings which where only available for this living story arc.
I did, that’s a terrible analogy since to play guild wars 2 you already have a computer and internet connection available.
A better analogy would be an ice cream shop telling you to look at the menu on the table.

Principle is one thing, irking your customers is another. Just put the merchants back in and these guys will shut up.
But they won’t learn anything. If they make a habit of bending backwards for unnecessary reasons like this then the players would just walk all over them.
It’s not that it hurts anyone. It’s that it’s dumb to put effort in this because someone wasn’t paying attention. Next time try to be more vigilant.
No, they gave a warning beforehand that they would be removed with this update.
It’d be kinda cool if the rare RNG rewards could also be obtained from working towards getting it too. That way you can either get lucky and get it fast or do the event enough times to get it that way too.
Though I guess it would kinda lose the rare aspect like that.
Seriously ? Liberator of Lion's Arch chest

You do get a skin. Scarlet’s Veil
I actually would like if they made the green Quaggan look like the backpack version instead of that ugly one we get.
I’d actually like to have more adult Quaggan tonics.
The personal story takes place before the Living Story. So,he would be dead long before the Aetherblades banded.
Pretend to be a puppet master whenever people point out you’re wrong.
Scarlet’s real plan is terrorizing Quaggan settlements.
Actually if I remember correctly they remake the decorations each year for events, so they do actually throw out the holiday maps already.
I believe it’s mentioned in this video around 10:50 or so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGq0a92tM88
I don’t recall them self-destructing though.
There were already broken ones that said they self-destructed back in the marionette release. I think they did that so they wouldn’t have too many probe events, since there were a lot of probes.
I only found this out because I was using a probe map to find power cores and most of the probes had self-destructed instead of being probe events.
These have been around since the marionette release.
White is the most reflective color, if you are under a yellow light for example, white will without fail appear yellow equal to the saturation of the light source. This happens in real life too…
Problem is it’s not equally distributed among the armor and looks mismatched.
It really shouldn’t be equally distributed, even if that would make it look cleaner. Why? There is always more than one light source. Even if there is only one literal ‘light’, there is always bounce light from everything in the environment. And it doesn’t just affect the light but also the shadow. In this situation, the overbearing ruddy brown from the environmental bounce is being applied over every surface, but to varying degrees depending on how much of their surface area faces the color.
You can actually significantly decrease it if you turn your post-processing off, but trust me when I say it won’t make it look better, but much worse.
I think he meant that when you dye different parts of armor they don’t come out the same all the time. The plant part of his armor is lighter than the metal.
I believe this was intended though, so if you do dye all one color it would have variety and be easy to see what’s doing on.
Horses are fancy in Tyria. Have you ever seen one that wasn’t part man?
I think they did it the way they have it now for more contrast. It’s easier to see red on green than green on green.
Hopefully Evon and the BLC dies in the attack.
And then the Consortium replaces the BLC and inflates the prices.
When she went into the cude Primordus managed to get in her head. He’s been whispering her what to do in order to free him.
I don’t think it’s Primordius because Vorpp said that anything Scarlet brought with her when she left the cube she had with her before. If it’s a dragon then it’s probably Mordremoth because it would make more sense for a forest dragon to have dormant influence over a Sylvari than a rock dragon.
Not really, a person could have good intentions but not make them a good person. It depends on the execution, not the result. She killed a lot of innocent people and quaggan to try to prepare to fight against some currently unknown being that was really only bothering her.
Actually, when you put it like that it seems kinda selfish, haha.
Since when has someone having good or neutral intentions make them a guaranteed “goodie two shoes” or kept them from dying?
Job-o-Tron -> Hob-o-Tron -> Ho-Ho-Tron -> He-Ro-Tron
I can live with that, but what happens to the Minstrel?
He becomes the first battle bard, previewing the new bard profession.
