How about upcoming Deadeye Riffle? From some videos on youtube it looks like deadeye have a big, big damage with 1500 range.

We had demo test, stress test 1, and stress test 2 for the elite spec
The stress test 2 is just yesterday (Using the CD map, Mount, and new elite spec). But it already ends so we wouldn’t know if there will there be any more stress test or not. keep an eye on the forum, maybe they will give us another stress test before 22 sept.

It looks like Deadeye will have big DPS among all ranged character.
Scourge IMO will have spot in raid / dungeon since they have sand support for up to 15 people for condi removal. (sorry if i’m wrong)
Haven’t tried ranger and ele so I can’t give any input for these two classes.

They did have spider mount, but it’s canceled because of arachnophobia concerns

Even if you can get ascended gear from fractal, world boss chest and achievement… if you have the mats to craft it instead to get it faster, why not?

As for what you probably will need as a necro
- Tailoring for Light armor
- Artificer for scepter and staff
- Weaponsmith for dagger
- Huntsman for warhorn and torch

It’s better to just pick two in one character, and use another character to pick another two crafting skill.

Joke aside, I don’t think this will be implemented as a fully 24/7 reward system where you can just AFK idly with auto-fishing and get items as long as you have enough bait.

BUT! If it going to be implemented, maybe it will be one of this:
- mini-game on home instance
- new gathering nodes near the beach or sea with new tools (fishing rod) using ammunition system (bait)

Just GW2 without HoT or PoF? The core game can be played for free, you just have to download it and make account.

I don’t remember it ever being there, before or after Claw Island in the past, which is why I’m asking. If it had been there, wouldn’t it have vanished once you completed the story mission of Claw Island? It would help if there was a more recent video (probably before August 8th just in case) showing the story mission, before entering the instance, so I’d know for sure if it was the same ship or not and whether or not it has always been there.

I can live with most of what is being introduced except for that. And the salvage kits (salvage all) shouldn’t touch the UI gear drops. Additionally forcing one to do Hearts so one can pay (too much)to RNG id gear needs to be reconsidered and redesigned.

If they leave this as is, I don’t share your feeling of success.

Yup, hope they do consider some of our complain and do some tweak before the release. For us, and for the game itself…

For me, I’ll spend for things like:
- copper salvage o matic is a must for me. It’s not about the return value, it’s the convenience of not having to stack up several item salvager in a meta.
- Inventory slot on main character until its full
- Bank slot if I have some gems left
- Lastly, things that are on discount that I like. Such as glider skin or unbreakable tools

AFAIK, demo character will be deleted after demo test

But… one more month to go, Hype!!

As a necro user, I completely agree with you
- Portal range needs to be longer, I think 1500 is good.
- Portal need longer duration to stay on the ground too, maybe 10 sec after it placed.
- We should not get teleported instantly when we used the portal skill.
- In the trailer video I see a scourge using portal from above to below. But when I try it, “No valid path” is popping out on me, not sure if this is bug or it’s me who use it in wrong way.
- Barrier decay way too fast, I prefer if they give use another endurance bar to evade instead of this kind of barrier.
I’ll stop here (otherwise this will be a class rant thread)

Have you try talking to Ridhais near the entrance of the groove? He should be standing near the Trahearne statue

Agreed, I hope they make the decay time longer or increase the barrier number, this mechanic feel way too weak since we lost our second health bar

I think it will be the same as the map demo
New slot demo char that automatically have all the skill point and placed in either pvp or wvw on start, an the pvp / wvw map is separated from the real one.

But again, this is just assumption. we will know it in about 3-4 hours

For world solo, I believe necro and ranger is good since they have minion / pet to tank the mobs

Trinket always have stats.
Some have multiple stats to choose when acquired, but for stats like viper only specific ascended trinket have it (Such as trinket from LW3 map)

Unlike ascended weapon and armor, you cannot change it through mystic forge
But AFAIK, if you have ascended trinket that can be infused, infusing the trinket will reset the stat (There’s some exception tho… bloodstone trinket stats can be changed by using bloodstone capacitator)

No no no, you should not avoid ascended armor…
You will need it sooner or later, pick a main class and a main build for that class
And go for the specific ascended armor stat
Don’t worry if you want to change the stats, you can do so by changing the stat on mystic forge (You will lose the rune on that armor)

And.. “all purpose, PVE, Surviveability type mode”
Most of the PVE content is easy enough that you can go full glass cannon and still survive.
But… if you really want to survive while doing enough damage for PVE, I think something with toughness and vitality plus damage stat will be good

One example is Dire Stat (Toughness, Vitality, Condition Damage)
Or the more expensive is Trailblazer ( Toughness , Condition Damage, Vitality, Expertise)

Hey Everyone, feel free to share your suggestions on Mounts, I got few so far.

1# It should be possible to dismount without mount disappearing. Have it follow player until player “stows” it. Possibly give it a “Stay” order.

2# Having some emotes designed and/ or allowed while being mounted. Being able to /wave while in saddle for example. Plus Mount emotes, that would work only while mounted. /sit, /roar, etc.

3# Noticed that current Raptor can be dyed only with one Dye. Having more options would be nice.

EDIT: 4# Pets can already have their own names, why not allow our mounts to have one, too!

Especially that #1… It’s kinda weird to see my character goes poof and zoom in awkwardly when talking to npc or bounty board and again poof for mounting it back and zoom out awkwardly.

I suggest a Necromancer with Reaper-Condi-Minion-Master build
- Flesh Wurm most of the time will tank your mobs for you
- You have traits that will give 10% of your condition damage as heal for yourself. I usually have around 1.5 – 2k heal per second on me. with epidemic, just multiple it by 5
- You have traits that will give 30 toughness per minion you summon.
- Using scepter-dagger as main dps / staff for AoE utility like chill and fear, all long-ranged.
- Death shroud as a second health bar.
- Death shroud skill number 2 for go away from mobs while you not targeting it
- Death shroud skill number 3 for reduce damage and give nearby enemy fear.
- Death shroud skill number 5 for AoE freeze the mobs (not boss though)
- Still do nice damage around 6-7k condi damage per tick (this is only bleed, theres more condi damage like poison and torment) with this build

Yes, you can solo em all.
The only roadblock you will get if you don’t have enough mastery point to do some story (Gliding, Updraft, Bouncing Mushroom, etc)

It’s vary…
Things like bank expansion and material expansion also living world story is account wide.
Things like bags expansion, salvage o matic, and gathering tools, is per character.

Answer for number 2:
- Copper Salvage O Matic is a must, you can only carry 25 item per stack (250 for mystic but only use it for rare or above)
- Silver Salvage O Matic (When there’s a special event, it’s the same as mystic salvage but unlimited)

What do you mean by “can’t uninstall successfully”?
Is it giving you some kind of error message while uninstalling?

Or, after uninstall success, there are some file / folder left? If so, deleting those file / folder left manually should be fine.

If only opening those bag will cost no money at all…

It’s okay for me, I still get 100% condi duration with only super veggie pizza, just need to change a few of my sinister trinket to viper as for now (this indeed will reduce some condi damage).

We have this two nice trait to boost our condi duration:
Fell Beacon – Torch skills gain reduced recharge. Gain expertise based on your condition damage. (Gain Expertise Based on a Percentage of Condition Damage: 7%). Meaning that if I have 2k Condition Damage, I will get +140 expertise
and
Sand Soul – Gain concentration and expertise for each of your active sand shade (Expertise: +75 per Shade). Meaning 3 Sand will give +225 expertise

365 expertise should give about 24% condi duration
This will result in me changing some of my viper to sinister, to get more condi damage as well as condi duration from the trait

My only concern right now is the scourge damage output, since some says scourge will be taking the support path…
