Just wanted to remind people we are looking for more people

Hello,

This is an unusual request but I am from multigaming community The Chaos Vanguard We are looking for guilds to host. Essentially what that means is we will give you a free space on our TS and website and all we ask in return is you allow our Chaos Vanguard members to join your guild.

We’re looking for both NA and EU, preferably guilds that are self sufficient already (have guild missions and a leadership team) but we’re willing to help out as well if needed.

Our only requirement would be that your guild would be in line with ours in terms of membership rules. Currently we allow only people 16+ to join the community.

Another benefit to you is that we have multiple well established game divisions across games such as League of Legends, CSGO, Heroes of the Storm, Smite, Archeage, Warframe and more, which your members will all have access to.

And yet the value of materials can shift from hour to hour. Especially if a bunch of gold sellers buy a couple of thousands of them. Thus it will make it much more annoying for them to conduct their sales.

Why did you only partially quote me? Don’t cherry-pick my point. What about communities or guilds that want to do gold giveaways like GW-EN do for Pink Day in LA?

If anything this is extremely detrimental to the community as a whole especially for fan groups that want to do giveaways or raffles/lotteries.

As someone who volunteers with GW-EN and GW2Community I see this having a negative affect on such events, I only hope there is a way to contact support to temporarily lift the embargo from specific accounts.

My name is Bnok I am the leader of the Events team over at GW2Community, those who do Teqautl and the TriWurm will know us as the people who host those through our 1000 slot TS.
Our community has a great group of volunteers who dedicate their time to bringing the people of Guild Wars 2 the best events possible.
The newest project we will be planning is the Spring Community Weekend. Across the 27-29th weekend we will be hosting numerous fun events with 1000+ gold worth of prizes.
These events include Cards Against Humanity, Asuraball, Hide and Seek, Belcher’s Bluff, Funny world boss runs, Naked Drytop farm, Quaggan Hunt, Riddles, Quiz and Town of Salem.
We also have a raffle running up to the event where we will be giving away the code to a Mini Llama! (All gold raised will be redistributed into the event’s prizes)

Hardly, they’re competitive minigames almost. Calling them hearts with a different name doesn’t do them justice.

Alliances really serve no function currently, there’s no real content that demands them. I can think of uses of course but it seems overall more like a luxury than a commodity.

I have the full soundtrack on my PC in flac and was wondering is the stuff played ingame 16 bit loseless? Would it be worth replacing the ingame stuff with the official soundtrack in flac if that is possible?

Agreed but I believe it is possible Rytlock could have lied about it. We never see his warband and he mentions that he left them ‘somewhere east’ is it possible that the sword was in an ascalonian ruin and his warband argued over what to do with it culminating in their deaths and Rytlock leaving them. It’s an exciting prospect.
I’d much rather Anet build on what they have rather than create new lore. Rox wants to join the stone warband, learning of Rytlock’s past with Sohothin and also his warband is great character development for both characters.

Everyone and their mother wants to find out how Rytlock got Sohothin but everytime he comes close to telling us he shrugs it off and says it’s irrelevant. IT’S NOT! We want to know.

My suggestion is you create a fractal which follows the adventures of a young perhaps more reckless Rytlock Brimstone as he acquires Sohothin. What this would entail? I am unsure as I figure the developers have an idea of how he acquired it already thought up. This would help not only bridge a lore gap but also develop Rytlock’s future further by allowing us to delve into his past. Perhaps as part of the fractal we take on the role of Rytlock’s warband as they explore the Ring of Fire. There are numerous possibilities.

Hey got a glitch on my game, when I click unlock on the skin for the Adventurer’s Scarf and Goggles it doesn’t unlock the other skins for the other armour classes.

Was the original poster a Ranger as well? I’d find it odd if the pet was tracked for the achievement along with the Ranger, but we saw it happen before with the Scarlet Hologram, so it’s a good place to start.

Nope Guardian. Maybe I will jump on my War and give it a go.

I have done six tries, four have succeeded, zero have given me the achievement.

After my first two fails my GL suggested that I wait on the lightning rock and jump across and tag at the end as this is what she did.
I did this twice, both times I jumped across at the end, both times I tagged and got the chest but no achievement.
I asked in map chat if anyone was having a similar problem, somebody told me to do it legit. So I did that for two tries, even relogged beforehand. No luck, both times the achiv bugged and I got a Bonus chest but no achiv. Please fix it Anet so I can get my achivs completed.

It’s a nodachi not a katana, learn you Japanese weaponry better guys (Other than Clyan who got it right)

Nobody said they represented 100% of the fanbase but as you can see from the thread thus far the majority are in favour.

I tried to find my screenshot of the Jester outfit datamined a year ago or so, but I have too many shots to slog through without a better time frame for the search. If you google for gw2 jester outfit you’ll find reddit posts that include the code (only visible on humans).

Now that we can’t mix and match, I’m not so psyched for it to be introduced to the game.

The new system makes it so it is like an armour skin so you can mix and match. Me personally I think a clown outfit would be awesome on Mesmer or Necro

The new system does that if the skin is released as armor. If it’s released as an “outfit” it would be one piece, only the head removable (not replaceable), with somewhat random dye channels that make no sense.

I don’t want outfits in the gem store. I want mix and match items.

Well I personally don’t mind but I guess it would be cool if it was released as an armour.

I think it would be cool if we had a Clown outfit in the gemstore, it is something I would definitely pay 800 gems for. I have included a pic for influence and I am sure others will agree this is a good idea.

It’s literally copying and pasting two npcs into the game, I really can’t see how it’s anymore then as small patch.
If anything it’s balancing so the Airship and Royal Terrace are on equal grounds.

It’s about time you upgraded the Royal Terrace considering it has two less NPCs than the Airship. It really shouldn’t be hard to add two more NPCs to the terrace.

Pretty sure Kiel wasn’t voted into power, considering WP and many other GWs 2 community sites supported Gnashblade exclusively.

I also overheard a conversation where Kiel is trying to run Gnashblade’s business to the ground by forcing him to give up weapons and supplies for free, all Kiel’s idea. I don’t see the Consortium helping LA out, seems we know who Kiel favours.

Congratz on the World 2nd guys, about time someone caught up with Desolation

I think they should revamp Firthside Vigil Waypoint and turn it into a Vigil ‘hub’ or settlement/fort.

At the moment all that is at Firthside Vigil Waypoint is two tents, a fire place, five Vigil soldiers and a handful of skritt.

It should be turned into a settlement with crafting vendors, merchants, banks etc. After all this is the central point where players gather to take on the Wurms.

Lorewise it fits also because you have 100s of people gathering at this point constantly and they’re all huddling apparently around 3 tents and a tiny camp fire instead of a settlement.
It could be a Vigil fort with Skritt structures created from the refugees of the wurm.

There could even be dynamic events going on involving the fort/hub that give players something to do between wurm attacks so they’re not just afking and also how successful you were against the Wurms effects the state of the camp/fort/hub.

Food for thought.

As far as the rewards are concerned I think most WvW players are ok with them.

We apparently don’t know the same people. I don’t think one person on Deso agreed with the rewards. People in my guild even started using the ‘WvW S1 achievement’ as a metaphor for bad things.

I think the rewards should have been better but I don’t think that there should have been a drastic difference between 1st and last.

brb going to go do some PvE and make the same gold value as the 7 week meta in 5 minutes.

I’m having a lot of fun in WvW, and that should be enough, gaming should be it’s own reward. I only play WvW (and lvl new chars that I use for WvW) and I don’t give a flying kitten about any reward chest, I didn’t even know what achievements I had to do to get it, even though I spend close to 100% of my time in WvW. Does that make me better player than anyone else? No, but it seems to make me a happier one.
If you’re only doing WvW for the reward, then something is wrong. You should be playing for fun.
And if you are having fun, why does it matter what reward you got?
I know a lot of ppl do not agree with me, but these are my thoughts anyway.

Because there are other types of players in this game, PvErs, PvPers etc.
And one specific group gets Anets undying attention when it comes to rewards, content etc (PvErs) when Seasons came out I thought this was Anet finally balancing it out but I guess I was wrong.

Nope – these rewards would have been way out of scale.

It did not take 7 weeks to make this achievement – two-three days at most for a couple of hours work in WvW. The rewards were correct and balanced.

I look at this as a something you could work towards over 7 weeks of play – just like a living story achievement which most players get within the first two days.

How is three days of hard work worth the equivalent of one CoF P1 run?

This is a really simple one and seems like it should be fairly easy to implement.
We’ve all been there you’re running out of bag space you get some loot from a champion/boss/chest and that fills you up but game autoloots a Porous Bone or a Ice Stone before picking up a weapon or mat etc.

That’s where the suggestion comes in. Why can’t we autoloot in rarity? So when a mob drops multiple items you pick them up in order or rarity.

Obviously this isn’t a massive issue but it’s a simple little fix that would make things easier.

Sympathy Races can’t be playable races, it’s a simple fact. As much as I’d like to see one of those races as a new race (namely Quaggan and Skritt) it can’t happen without completely revamping the personal story and changing the mechanics of it.

As for the four you listed that aren’t sympathy races:
Jotun seems like a an ok race, I don’t particular like the idea of them as a playable race as they seem redundant since we already have the Norn as our ‘niche’ tall race and they also seem to be lacking in customisation, this could be changed though to make them a viable race.

Kodan are in the same boat as Jotun except they can never be a playable race. How are you supposed to customise a Kodan, they are polar bears therefore they are always white furred, every player character would look the same.

Tengu, seemingly the only race you’ve suggested that could be implemented, there is already part of the map saved for their ‘city’ and ‘zone’, they have their own struggles and are barely involved with the main story (apart from at the end saying that after The Pact defeated Zhaitan they may help with fight against the dragons HINT HINT).
Tengu are known to have different tribes so you already have your racial story choices and are fairly good customisation potential. Anet have basically left this open as a potential race.

Largos. there are two reasons why this can’t happen.
A) Lore – The Largos are known for their many houses and are highly trained assassins, this means they are a race with only one defined profession. Could this be changed? Yes more lore could be brought up to clarify better on this.
B) Customisation – Greyish skin and White/Silvery hair are your only options.
I’ve listed Largos as a maybe because I wouldn’t mind if it happened, lorewise it would be pretty easy to implement. It would also make sense that The Pact would use the ‘Houses’ as a base of operations against the underwater dragon in a potential expansions/update.

Better yet start a guild with the rest of them so you can complain about not having mounts, gear treadmill, holy trinity etc.

e.g. a banner of sorts or flag stabs your enemy that has the logo of your guild on.

This zone was a challenge but rewarding for that reason but now you have made it cake and are practically giving away ‘Storm Wizard Z-1’, what’s the point in the reward if it’s not challenging to get? We have a normal and infantile mode for a reason, you’ve made this tribulation far too easy, change it back please.
