Hello, I am trying to craft aurora, I was wondering how much pve is required for the legendary trinket? Would me having 3k+ gold help me in anyway to avoid parts (or fully 0_0) of the pve? At the moment I don’t think I will have the mindset or time to forever grind pve, I only pvp (though I did the season 3 LS for trinket).

If I had to pve how long does it roughly take for the pve part?

Can the wizard hat not make hair suddenly disappear when wearing it :/ its a freaking hat not a bloody head shaver………

The baldness just makes changing hairstyles pointless when wearing the hat, a bald witch tryin to look sexy is hard to pull off (especially on female humans) unless of course the character is already bald or is an asura….

Seriously anet after 4 years can “The Predator” (legendary rifle) get its effect “FIXED”. The footsteps rarely appear and the aura is invisible most of the time, please, please, please “FIX IT”, its a bug that has been ingame for 4 years, far too long for it to be still in the game…..

Tanky as hell, dodge and run spam druid, I don’t mind condi chrono or bunker tempest, but the insta reset druid is annoying af :/

I know there is another topic already but I don’t really know what it means, anyway its been 3 days and I am crashing in wvw for no reason at all, whether roaming alone or in a zerg it randomly crashes, this has never happened before, anyone also experiencing this? Or is it just me O_O

I really want a fix for this, getting a crash as you stomp or see lootbags near you (I hate and do not use auto loot) this is just turning me off wvw Q_Q

That shaman datamined mursaat wings as back piece so we will probably get it as a glider/ back skin combo in the gemstore soon

The new revenge of the Capricorn map is far too open, its being coined as a new “wvw map” :/ it’s a ranger and thief paradise, attack from range then stealth or run, simply making them almost uncatchable or impossible to hit. Anet I hope when the new pvp season starts we are not forced to pick this map in ranked as it needs some major changes if you want people who don’t play ranger or thief to like it :/

I have at least 4 of the great monkey lantern Soulbound on my characters each with a green, 2 orange and black poly-undulating refractor, I have been trying to salvage the refractors using black lion salvage kit but it won’t let me salvage the back piece at all O_O why is this? I wanted to extract the refractors.

Anet why couldn’t you just make the floral glider into a backpack/ glider combo I would be happy to pay the standard 700 gems for it (even more if added), I do not PvE AT ALL so the glider is useless for me :/ and my slyavris need the floral glider as a back pack. Please….

Kill power is extremely vague, what does it mean? Generally speaking berserker stats weapon has the highest “power”, with ascended and legendary tier weapons having a combination of stat that supports power, keep in mind that raw power isn’t the only way to deal dps in the game there is also condition stats.

Anyway if you wanted a particular weapon legendary Greatsword Eternity, though any berserker ascended Greatsword will have the same stat.

Whilst I would love it as it is, it could always be toned down in size and the sound removed for back piece skin. Please anet O_O I hate PvE (only place where gliding is active) and only love wvw or pvp, I really want it as a back skin…..

I know people will tell me tough luck that I wasn’t able to craft it during the 2 months, but for personal reason I couldn’t play gw2. Please can winter’s presence be tradeable via the tp, like nightfury skin is, I would absolutely love to have the snow aura as it fits with my reaper style perfectly. Or can the winterpresence be turned into an upgrade or infusion so it can be bought from the tp, \o/ pretty please O_O

I recently purchased the ghostly infusion for my asura main as the aura looked good on videos I have seen before. However when I put the infusion on my asura it’s almost non existent I can only see the aura when I zoom in REALLY close :/ why did they make the aura scale down to character model, it’s completely useless…. Also because of this I won’t be getting night fury or the new snow fall aura as I bet the auras won’t even show up or be seen at all :\ no screen shot of ghostly infusion in here because the aura is unseen unless I zoom in max…..

Finally the gemstore purchasable exalted mail carrier also scales to character model, totally lame and I regret buying it :/ so I guess no more gemstore mail carriers for me then….

Dulfy has added videos of all the hero points in hot maps, I can’t even begin to thank her enough because I nearly went mad trying to find each one, I absolutely hate any form of PvE and only stick to pvp and wvw and dulfy saved me from quitting hot altogether. She’s also put description of the masteries that are needed to gain access to each hero point, once again I can’t express my thanks enough to dulfy and I know I should comment on her website but I wanted to make other hardcore pvp and wvw players aware of the video guides, THANK YOU DULFY

I love gw2 and HoT and love the wvw and pvp in this game, but would it be too much to ask if wvw players(who bought hot) had all the elite specialisation unlocked like pvp…

I play pvp and wvw with a hoard of players who absolutely hate PvE, don’t give a kitten about jumping shrooms or talking to stoned frogs (gliding is okay), getting 400 hp and playing even one of the elite spec is probably something that hot buyers who do only wvw will ever experience, I know this rant should be in the wvw section but no one kittening looks at the wvw sections at all >:(

I am gonna have to coin the phrase “learn to play”, can see from your signature that you play war, Guardian and ele, well mesmers hard counters war no doubt there, I don’t know what kind of guard build you play but a medi guard shouldn’t have much problem with a shatter mes, as medi has a ton of mobility, dps, burns etc, with ele staff has no chance with shatter mesmer or even condi mesmer, but cele ele might have a chance if you are good…

But anyway each class has its hard counter and to make sure you win you need to practice and ltp unfortunately….

PS if you didn’t know there was a bug last month where ppl could rally off of mes clones, it made mesmers unplayable….

I saw an enemy ranger today in wvw using gs and I think s/d had the signet of renewal and wild, also the health regen food. She was extremely tanky took a full shatter mesmer burst from me (champion illusionist ie very experienced with full zerker shatter mesmer) took out only about 20% hp then got hit by some war and thief aa the ranger had perma regen up and didn’t even need to use heal skill then she kills war with gs pet had taunt, then she runs away resets and kills another, whilst maintaining really good condi cleanse and regen whilst also being highly tanky and doing a lot of dmg.

Also she had near enough constant poison uptime on her enemy, black widow spider pet may have been used I forgot to check properly.

I haven’t played ranger enough to know what this unique build is but any pointers would be really helpful.
Also if it matters at all she was a champion hunter, but even then the pvp rangers are most often lb or condi :/

Are you in a guild right now? If you are not being in a guild helps out a lot especially for new players, you can ask for help from guildies, do dungeons and fractals with them overtime you will get to know your guildies and to be perfectly honest I have played this game since it’s beta days and the 2 main reasons I still enjoy this game is because I love wvw but hate PvE and also most of the people in my guild also has the same mindset as me so even if we do the wvw rotation for the umpteenth time it never gets boring because we are constantly either helping each other out, discussing RL or just chatting about something or another, trust me it’s the interaction that will make you want to play gw2

I definitely agree with Op, if a youtuber like woodenpotatoes were to do what he does now but with other games that are popular right now (like angryjoe does) he would be a very popular game youtuber regardless of if he shows his face or not, this is mainly because wp gets easily immersed onto every aspect of the game and he has that in depth interest on the lore of a game.

I always wonder why he is solely attached to the GW franchise, but hey its his call, but if he does start to review other popular game titles you can bet your bottom dollar he will be earning big bucks from YouTube, just like the people who post videos of them playing “minecraft” (shudders)….

I have been playing a condi, signet ele and even post patch it’s op as hell in wvw, I know the synergy you mentioned is removed and I missed it too at first but the amount of burn damage I inflict is so high after I interrupt with my focus 5 on air attunement and pop both the signet of fire and earth then switch to fire to inflict even more burn stacks my opponent does not even have time to react haha!!! I play the d/focus condi ele with stone heart or diamond skin depending on circumstances
Anyway I kid you not in a 1v1 situation unless some pesky thief backstabbed me when I had a different grandmaster on earth other than stone heart I have not lost since, maybe you need to change your gear or move some traits around, especially since condi ele is full dire you should be extra tanky, anyway I don’t know about you but as I recall I did not take the signet reduction trait pre patch so I don’t really miss it but I still fared well against other players, heck I haven’t lost to a d/d cele ele on my condi ele (maybe they were bad maybe they weren’t who knows)

Anyway don’t give up on condi ele ignore the meta train we need more elemetalist being weaned off that build

I love it, you can get double ports using mimic, really useful in wvw when there’s a golem rush, also helpful when there is a shortage of mesmer

Condi thief build should only be used by very new thieves as a “crutch” for them to get used to stealth, but the amount of platinum and gold ranked thief using cheese condi bleed thief in wvw is appalling… Anyway to op learn to play another thief build…… And cheese condi krait thief is more powerful than venom thief LOOL

Definitely a ton of build diversity now, makes me want to play all my 8 different profession all day, though I can’t because of work and studies

I know burn has been buffed quite a bit, but its enabling more ele to try out condi builds (I know there are a few ele who have been condi for a while) instead of the typical “meta” d/d cele ele…..

So even if you do nerf burn please don’t over do it, stacking for burning is opening up so many new ways to play different classes so yea, if you want us condi users to keep on playing the game don’t completely ruin burn for us.

Can not tell you how much I appreciate your help asterix. Please dont shoot me sir, I may of not explained it right. I will be using staff in WvW. Dagger Focus Is something I will use in PvE.
The Rotation you suggested, is that for the Staff? and if its not, could you PLEASE give me a decent rotation for the staff?? I have NO clue how to add you to my friends list in game, if I did, I sure would, have you school me how to play her.

It was my fault I only skimmed the question XD, though it’s completely up to you I can’t stress enough how a staff condi ele will not work in wvw especially if you are to go solo roaming or even try to take camps on your own, d/d condi ele sounds doable (with lots of compromises) but even then you won’t have the interrupts, invulnerability that you would get from a focus offhand, anyway it is up to you but for staff ele in wvw it is better to be a back line supporter…..
