Cricket and pvd borderlands..but hey, some people like it, and got no problem with that.

So at the moment, I’m using an i5 4690, and all I play is mostly, WvW. Runs fine in medium settings, in blobs. However, I’m always travelling between two points, so decided to build a second budget rig, just for GW2, and programming. As for GPU, will be getting a r7 370, it’s cheap. My budget for a CPU is around 120 $. In that range, the CPUs are, Pentium G3258/G3260, i3 4170(haswell)/6100(skylake). No clue about AMDs though. All I know that FX is pretty bad for gw2. I am fine running in low-med settings with decent FPS on WvW, which is around 25-30 in fights, and above 50 in roaming. Resolution will be, 1920×1080.
Now you see my dilemma here. Halp..

I just don’t hope to see DBL anywhere near a PvP zone, forever. The changes they made, hopefully they are to keep the players happy until we get the Alpines back. I suppose, as Mike said, giving us back the Alpine bls might take a while.

There are many brilliant ideas here by tons of people, I’m sure Anet will use their head well. I just want old Alpine borders back, with the quaggans..most of the people here do. I’d rather log off or do PvE than to think about how to kill the Hills (Palace ?!?) boss, or remember how to go there at the first place, the thought of it put many people off. Wth is a rampart ? Make it garrison..lol.

So I’ve been playing GW2 for a while now, and experience lags from time to time like everyone else, mostly while blobbing 3 ways in EB and such. But usually it’s fine most of the time. Last night I was doing some PvE in Silverwastes, suddenly I experienced massive skill lags. I thought since map was full of people, it caused such, then I went to PvP lobby from that map, and got disconnected, with error code 58:11:5:504:101. I tried to relog, loading screen was shuffling from heart of the mists to lions arch and disconnected again. I managed to log in after a few tries but with massive skill lags and rubberbanding. Since then it’s continuous. Sometimes it stays fine, like in a borderland, even zerging seems to be fine. But when I switch to another border, loading screen stays for a while, and I start lagging again. DC from time to time when lag gets intense, with the same error code. Since I’m no expert, I can’t seem to figure out what’s the issue here, is it my connection or my PC, or client issue. It happened before with small scale though, but was fixed by itself after a while. I repaired the client, ran diagnostics to figure out if I have any packet loss. Nothing working so far. Here is the highlights from diagnostics report. Help me out please ! I suspect it’s my internet connection but everything else seems to be fine.

After all the fails with Zhaitan and season 1 bull honky, Anet did an amazing job with season 2. Thinking season 2 will be kitten as well, I ignored it, until PoNR. AFter just trying out PoNR out of curiosity, I had to play all. Anet proved me wrong and the story is so good now, I have no issues with paying gems just to see dragon stories and dramatic turnouts. Although I only paid for Echoes of the past, I had the rest unlocked for some reason, maybe I entered an instance I can’t remember. And this is coming from a hardcore WvWer, whom are usually poor lol.

Well nowadays the guild fights meta is to target the leader, corrupt boon and GG, spoils the whole fight. So, I guess there should be an option a player can choose to show/hide his/her rank. Nice topic. +1

Just can’t log in after hundreds of tries lol, getting error of Game Client is unable to gain access and stuff. I think I’m not the only one, from EU Far Shiverpeaks. After several tries I make it to toon selection screen but that’s it, same error while I press Play.

Then again, havoc/scouts/roamers/gankers are welcome at any time zone !

PPK is fine, white swords in the other hand, is utter kitten. With megablob servers like SFR and Kodash, we are gaining mostly from PPK, and fights are pretty awesome too. Except for the skill lag.

I see EoTM as a leveling up alternative, and some gold making opportunity. Boring as heck though..bad luck for me anyway, every time my opponents have the bigger blobs.

Well..FSP, Piken, Gunnars, SFR or Deso..all meet your criteria. Just take a leap of faith and join one ! Or look for a good guild which fulfills your requirements among those servers. I’m from FSP anyway…

Well in that case anet should make Lions Arch a home instance for all the servers, I thought it would be like that before reading the megaserver patch notes, I mean, come on. A server people needs a base.

Don’t blame Deso for it. It’s same everywhere, uplevels in critical blob vs blob always get criticized and bashed no matter what. Uplevels can be used during karma trains. Since Deso is back in T1 again, it’s always blob vs blob thus fights, they can be liabilities on such situations. Say Deso facing servers from our tier, she can run the upscaled all around off peak hours. Oh and never ever run one alongside a guild group !

You are right to blame Anet but not everything on them. Look at the top quote. Gunnar’s Hold and Piken Square shared the 2nd place with FSP even though Piken never won and Gunnar’s just once against them. It only required some thinking to find a loophole and handholding with the top server.

No Idea how it’s gonna work out better, free transfers ruin stuff often just before the season. Anyway this swiss system was horrendous and an epic fail from Anet. Probably a modified swiss system which will shuffle servers more randomly in tiers. Facing same servers over and over again prompts double teaming. Happened both at Gold and Silver.

Wow double taming. I feel ya Deso. Gz on SFR. People who wants or wanted to see Gandara at the top flank, It’s just a massive bandwagon EU server. Their nightcrew isn’t Gold standard. So I guess they will be around Augury Kodash area. They have almost the whole Underworld server bandwagon there so basically free food and loot for top flanks, which they wouldn’t want to be of course. I guess numbers will be lesser than of the season now.

Is there a gold ranked guild ? O.o

I don’t see why OP thinks Far Shiverpeaks (FSP) deserves a better reward than Piken Square (PS) and Gunnar’s Hold (GH). If FSP just ends second in the current match-up they will end on the 2nd place overall, PS will be 3th and GH 4th.
Clearly Gandara is the number one server in Silver League. All credits to FSP for beating Gandara once. But If FSP fails to secure second place in this match-up I don’t see why PS and GH do not deserve a joined 2nd place at the end of the season. Both defeated FSP in at least one match-up during the season.

Another thing is the format ArenaNet choose for this Season. In this format it is sometimes better to loose a match-up and end in 3th place than to compete for 2nd place. Luckily my fellow players on PS did recognize this situation last match-up so we still have a shot at joined 2nd place overall this season.

I think you don’t WvW much. Underlined point, neither Piken nor Gunnar’s have defeated FSP once on this season. Gunnar’s is on the brink of winning for the first time. Only server beyond Gandara that won against us this season is Abaddon’s. This “swiss” system was complete bizarre and I have no idea who in Anet comes up with these.

I can remember FSP being in this exact same position last year,while not as bad as UW currently is doing we were lacking people throughout the entire day and got stomped by servers that shouldn;t have been able to stomp us at all.People started making recruitment posts and things started to turn around,we got some of the bigger guilds to our server like Votf,Vcy,XxX etc.
Its not to late too revive UW if people are willing to put in some effort and try to get some guilds from other servers over,or even start making new WvW guilds and start trying to drag people away from pve into WvW.I would love to face a proper UW server again.I can still remember the days of FSP vs UW on a weekly base being some of the best times ive ever had in WvW.

They..I mean we tried, but the community and alliance politics was so dirty, plus the very high tag. Instead of bringing people in, people started to leave. Most of them were burnt out, or the little true wvw guilds were under pressure so much with regular matchups with FSP and Gunnar’s, they just left in the end. Now the whole Underworld server is in Gandara… While the FSP community was able to bring in many people even with the very high tag. It’s the community effort, the guilds and WvW situation of that server that can change things around.

The only guild i have seen running around that still keeps their numbers around 15 and is capable of crushing 30+ is RES on GH.
Heck even Vii is running 30 man blobs nowadays as are all the guilds mentioned in this post.

Could be. Anet implies everything at wrong place at the wrong time. Nothing new..promoting crappy PvP while ignoring popular GvG, guilds etc. Then again, you can’t escape from server drama which mostly destroys a server.

Well about Underworld..drama and politics destroyed the server, so called alliance crap. It was once glorious server, and was proud to be a part of it. The drama queens took their drama elsewhere and I hope they don’t spread the virus on their new destination. UW will never recover, sad to see.

This swiss system is the worst possible way Anet came up with for a season. People are playing as usual they do but after the season, there will be new pve contents, and huge pvx population will take a break. Raiding guilds will keep on raiding.

Well whatever is being spread, it’s publicity for FSP, and jealousy from other servers. People love fighting our server along with some others around our ranks for the fights we provide, for the guilds we have. We are a stacked server now. Anyway olo are a great bunch of people, if you are clueless at Vizunah, try them out for some competitive fights and raids !

Well Gandalf turned into Mordor is winning this for sure. Rest positions will be decided on coverage. So, 2nd place could belong to any server from FSP, Gunnar’s and Piken. Rest, I have no idea. Last place could be Fort Panic or RoF.

Erm..2:30 in the morning, 50+ Gandarans per map, that’s gold league crap. All I see are Underworld guilds ! XD

LOL Transfera, Stackdara etc. I always preferred Gandara, they have awesome serverwide tactics. Don’t know how’s that going to work out with all the new folks. Coverage and tactics will win this, primetime will be epic fights, skill tests (lags). EB will be awesome from the start of noon till midnight. Top spot ? My guess is either Gandara or Piken. Fort Ranik’s main huge nightcrew guild, I think it was EO, moved to Arborstone ..so, I can’t tell how they gonna do. Far Shiverpeaks are starting to get long queues due to a few guilds from AG joining them, not a Far Shiverpeaks man myself but I wish them best and hope their queues are always active (no more than 10 minutes).

Just 2 guilds joined, not very large. FSP has always been stable since last season.

I don’t hate or despise PT or even anyone on Deso. It’s game and everyone has rights to choose how they gonna play it. Good to know that PT is changed and stronger now. It’s just at your timeslot, there’s no proper zerg you can fight on Silver. Meanwhile in Gold, you’ll find plenty to choose from. I’m pretty sure SFR or Riverside Or Baruch won’t hate you at all.

If I may ask, zerg hunting with 50-60 people ? There is no zerg in silver league the time slot you usually play I’m afraid. You want zerg at night, gold league is your place. After 11-12 PM CET, it’s all karma training and headbanging on empty doors, except for EB maybe, and I’m pretty sure with the equal numbers, top Silver EB zergs are very very tough, which only can be matched by massive EXG train or the famous GoD deathtrain. So basically you can help a server by getting PPT at off peak with almost no resistance. So, fights aren’t your target I can say, the Tourney top spot reward is the target, which you can’t get being on Deso as they decided to go Gold league, where they belong. Gandara are top contenders for silver so, there you go.

Well FSP doesn’t need anymore on primetime, we are full . Sure we lost some but got some too. If you are EU primetime, go to Aurora, RoF etc. You can always contact community representatives as well. Off peak ? Why not.

I believe in Gandara. In the previous season I watched their spirit of winning competing with Desolation, beaten by Gold League sized Deso night crew. They will do it again with no Deso around this time with the huge influx right now. I’d say Gunnar’s will fight with them for the top spot, then there is Piken. Personally, I just wanna have a good season which means good fights. Not the monotonous blobs of Baruch, Augury or coverage of Deso. I just hope with the recent influx, server drama doesn’t show up at Gandara.

FSP is the only silver league server that has Americans and they recently got 2 huge guilds from Piken.

We also lost some since post season including some major guilds. Also couple Americans aren’t there anymore. Nothing has been changed much, gonna see what happens during season.

Things change I suppose, if Gandara faces a strong server, presence will be less. As OP said, free loot now. See you at the season Gandara, and hello to YaKslappers. Can’t tell what happened to Fort Ranik, maybe slacking before season. Last time we faced them, maybe couple weeks ago, they had a 50 men EB crew at 1 am on weekend.

FSP is still looking for off peak people/guilds. In search of NA and mornng/afternoon crew. EU primetime is full, so not looking for anyone at that time slot. 800 Gems, come on people !
