Confirmed, Revs are all Kormir. Rytlock and Kormir had a thing for each other in the Mists.

New characters will level up as normal through all normal ways. I believe they referred to the beta and stress tests as to not mix players with unreleased content into the base game.
Think about it.

I was looking through youtube earlier and I came across a video that captures what the old login screen used to be. I forgot how beautiful it really was.
With the upcoming HoT expansion and the direction Guild Wars 2 is going, why not use the throwback login screen as it is more aesthetically pleasing than a splash with a ton of invisible pixels.
Here’s a link to the video. The video is actually a demo of a windows 7/8 desktop background that behaves the same as the older login screen. (I wouldn’t recommend downloading it because it’s been flagged to contain viruses but at least the video is safe to watch)

The way I remember it, Anet did comment on having “big plans for the mursaat later on”

My two cents:
Pale Tree warns that all magic (being used by Asuran technology and ghosts) are in danger. Upon hearing this news, those in charge of Ascalon decide that the only effective means to prevent Modrey is to remove the ghosts and lift the curse. Only problem is, it must be an heir to the throne.
That being said, Queen Jennah might have to be used or at least in the party (or strangely, pass the throne to Ascalon to Rytlock so technically he would be the heir). It could be that Rytlock tries to free the ghosts but fails, news comes that Marjory is in danger in DR because Modrey detects to Asuran gates (I don’t know why he just wouldn’t go for LA straight up seeing how theres a line right there.) DR is in danger so the player must save the queen with Logan. That’s part 1.
Part 2:
DR is under siege by Modre and his threat is becoming more evident in the ruins of Ascalon. Its decided that the Blood legion (under the leadership of Rytlock) will help the humans lift the siege (an idea most humans are still not comfortable with, especially those who sympathize with the Separatists) in exchange, the Queen will help Rytlock free Ascalon from its curse to prevent Modre from ever reaching the Charr. As I mentioned above, her method of helping could be many ways.
Next episode or “part 3”
The blood legion and the Seraph attack the Modres offensive group at, around, and even in DR securing the throne room. Its noted that among the survivors or the dead, Marjory and her family are missing, Kasmear then leads the group (while Rytlock, Logan, Jennah are stay back in the throne room) to the secret basement under the dead end bar where Marjory and her family are safe.
Meanwhile the plotline with Eir, Caithe, and Zojja are still in the wraps.
*Eir and Braham do talk and are looking for the blade that the icebrood hid.
This is just fun speculation. Nothing like this will probably happen but the dynamic between the Charr and Humans would be interesting to explore. “Scratch our back and we’ll scratch yours.”
Remember, part 1 of who knows how many is coming.

I’m just starting this topic because I would love to see the inclusion of the Endless Riding Clothes Tonic to either be re introduced as an outfit or a medium armor skin.
Reasons for medium armor skin; most medium armor skins are in the form of trench coats, which tends to go with the theme that rangers and engineers are included, leaving the thief out of the loop. Now, the Riding Tonics is not particularily an appearance that thieves would catch on, it does however separate the physical similarities between those who wear trench coats and those who don’t.
Reasons for tonic; I’m sure many players would use this outfit on any number of their characters, such as they do with the ancestral outfit.

My engineer and my main, Rohuun.
Wearing the Endless Riding Outfit tonic (an appearance I would rather have as armor skins because trench coats are blah). Hint* Hint* anet.

So I’m talking to a guildie and he showed me an unfinished jumping puzzle, codenamed “Cerebero” and I found a video on youtube about it.
I was wondering if anyone else has done this or can comment. I think its really cool that its a whole “underground area” to Caledon Forest.

I’m really interested. I like the videos too.

Hi, I’m primarily a WvW/Edge player but do events in PvE (like most people). I’m looking for a WvW guild to rep everytime I go into WvW.
Thanks

I agree in the concept of elaborating the Hall of Monuments.
Honestly, I was disappointed when I found the inner sanctum to be in shambles (granted, it was abandoned but..wasn’t it beforehand too?).
Main: Endeavorr
Okay, thank you guys for your input. So a higher population world?
What exactly happened to Dragonbrand?
Main: Endeavorr
Hey there,
I’ve recently begun playing Guild Wars 2 after a leave of absence (about 5 months), and would like to see if there is at least and active world in both PvE and WvW to keep me satisfied.
I’m just an average MMO, I play casually on both fronts but do like a change-up every once in a while. The world I’m on, (Dragonbrand), used to be all the rage and I moved to it when free transfers ended. Since then, I have not been able to stick to a single guild and certain aspects seem to die up altogether.
What world is a safe world?
Thanks!

Looking for a PvX guild. Dungeons and WvW scheduled nights and what not.
Aruros.

Hey, I recently got back into Guild Wars 2 and decided that I would like to join a guild again. I was originally part of Elephant Ambush and was kicked for inactivity (I totally agree with that decision) however, I am back now.

I would love Grawl, Tengu and Dredge to become playable.
The only race I could currently see as being playable in the near future in the tengu. They were a widespread race, there are many varieties, and there is the possiblity for appearances we’ve never seen in game (thinking tengu from Elona and other parts of the world), they have a sizable city and possible starting area, are seem to be waiting to make their move in the world.
They also seem to have knowledge of a previous dragon rise, which could make them valuable allies should the extent of that knowledge be revealed in the future. You’re missing out Kodan and Largo
Grawl will never be playable due to being a lesser race that others can choose as a racial sympathy. They would also have a difficult time regardless of this because they’re one of the races that has made little, if any, advancement in culture or technology over the past 250 years.
The problem with dredge is they’re extremely xenophobic and kill anything that isn’t one their own. Yes, they have internal problems of their own but they have too many disadvantages that would prevent them from being a playable race without a major overhaul.
The kodan all look the same so there would be a definite lack of customization. There’s also no way to distinguish genders without speaking to them which has its own problems.
Largos may have potential but the lack of information on them cannot be ignored. I would need to know more before making a judgment as to whether or not they could be playable.
With the exception of tengu, none of these races have a starting area or major city. The only one that could go either way is the largos, again this as a result of the lack of information on them.
Your point about Kodan is invalid. Let me explain why; in Guild Wars 1, all Charr were the same, with little difference. All were male and it wasn’t until EoTN where more options were added to them. I believe the same with Kodan. Also, if a Human can dye their hair, why can’t a Kodan? Also, if they ever released I’m sure the developers would take the time to really create a difference between male and female; you assume they’re the same but that’s because they’re currently not playable.

WvW is meant to be a bridge between PvE and PvP…not sPvP. WvW is intended to be a loose-ruled war. After all, there are no rules in war.

When someone is guesting, they do not contribute to the world’s pools but that of their guild on their own home world. Guilds are only important on home servers and lack cross-server seeing how influence pools are server based and not broad (strangely name is though).
Main: Endeavorr
Simply put, when someone is guesting, people cannot tell whether or not that person is actually from that world. Simple solution, put some sort of marking or indication (perhaps under their guild name or title or better yet, next to their name in parenthesis put “(guest)”)

The problem with Kain is that they MOB (Guild Wars 1, so retro over here), they mob and then leave. Sort of, as if, dining and ditching. Last night, all it took was a small team of 10, at first, to retake the camps and then towers -eventually Bay and Hills pushing all out of our borderlands. Now, that was a small victory but it showed us that Kain doesn’t care to hold on (worked for the best). Granted, it is pretty much a pointless week to begin with.
Lol…. I’m thinking about AB… “Cap in a circle, cap in a circle!”
Good times, huh?

I’m confused, are the refugees coming from North of current explorable areas? If so, I don’t see how the Steam creatures are up there unless other rifts exist. If anything, it sounds like double meanings to destroyers and icebrood.

His mistakes are minor but here’s thing; he does his best to describe and tell the lore and for that, it’s pretty cool. He doesn’t cover certain things and he goes too in depth into others but in general, I would give it a 93%. Not perfect.

While running AC, my PuG group went to path two and all seemed fine until the final event where it bugged. Naturally, we left dungeon and restarted but here’s the thing; it loaded up my world’s instance in which path 2 bugged. I changed my character (while still in party) and we re entered and still, my instance. I restarted the game, same thing. I left party, they loaded into the same instance and it wasn’t until they invited me back that AC kicked them and started fresh with another world hosting.

My guild does our daily run through him; granted, he is fierce but not impossible! The biggest thing is to know when and where his phases occur and how to react appropriately. That said, always be mobile and use ranged weapons (guardians use wands and chain him in phase 2 and 3) and on top of all, stay away from other party members unless you need to resurrect someone and even then, do it with only one or two people. The biggest thing is not to fret, if people die all they need to do is just respawn and run back while the others are surviving. Like I stated above, don’t fret and take close note of his phases or stages because that’s what he’s really about.

Post a picture of your current armor combination or full set! I’m looking at a combination of Arah and Ascalonian to really get that ghostly feeling.

Welcome to DB. My guild just moved from GoM to DB and merged with [EA]. Its proven to be a good world with active PvE, sPvP, and WvW.

Here you go!!!! =)
Hell yeah, I was there

What would be a decent world to move a guild of 15 people? We’re based in Gate of Maddness but with the announcement of paid transfers kicking in on the 28th, we’ve been having thoughts of jumping? Granted, servers will (supposed to at least) even out but that’s long term, upwards to a year. So, thoughts? What would be a world with suitable PvE and WvW balance?
Main: Endeavorr
7/10 I don’t know what you look like but I can assume editing every detail must have been pain staking.
My warrior is modeled after my GW1 warrior.. to the best of my ability with hairstyles and what not

It would be interesting to see Ebonhawke’s future involvement because I can see it as the launching point for a southern “push” led by the humans to reclaim the Crystal Desert from the branded.
Main: Endeavorr
False, there are in-game GMS. I know because I saw one and added them. They have a specific title.
Main: Endeavorr
Good luck Anvil Rock and Northern Shiverpeaks,
Sincerely,

Main: Endeavorr
Here’s what I think, paid transfers to begin and get rid of Tier 7 and 8 by merging the four worlds into 2. GoM and HoD or whatever. Only problem with world merging is people will take it as “game dying,” which is not the case. That’s my 2 cents.
Main: Endeavorr
Oh ok, that makes sense. I wish, eventually, there is elaboration on other human kingdoms. I mean, it’s said humans spread over all of Tyria, right?
Main: Endeavorr
Is that map reflecting the events of Tyria now or from guildwars 1? I ask because when I look at the fan one, the ocean in the Northern Shiverpeaks is technically on top of land.
Main: Endeavorr
Konig, can you please upload the map? I’m afraid I need a reference, I think I’m missing an entire continent but here’s the thing; the world is a sphere and thus wraps around, so whatever continent that is…
Main: Endeavorr
So it appears that Orr or South of Cantha… which would be north of Tyria technically according to the map I always see Konig use. Though humans started migrating from there, they’re not originally from there but another world with the Mists connecting?
Main: Endeavorr
So the question is, what will become of Ebonhawke? Will it become, much later down the road, the new “Rin?”
Main: Endeavorr
It’s interesting, the relationship between Charr and Human. With the defeat of Ascalon, Humans are slowly coming to the realization that it’s a lost cause and appear to be building south. Now, didn’t the humans originate further east than Ascalon? It would be interesting to see what lies beyond the borders.
Main: Endeavorr
I can see the fledging game concept become a major critic. I think that ANET just simply made the mistake of having too many worlds but then again, I can see why. WvW battles, more worlds, more opponents.
Main: Endeavorr
Is the possibility of merging worlds together even possible? To me, it would be tedious if not, incredibly hard.
Reason why it would be difficult:
- Guilds seem to be tied to worlds with their unlocks, wouldn’t moving everyone to a world, let’s go with Ebonhawke, cause those guilds to loose their unlocks?
- Imagine the surprise people get when they discover they’ve been transplanted to a world with a mix of former enemies and allies from WvW.
Reasons why it’s often mentioned.
- Too many servers at release, remove a tier by combing enough lower population worlds together so that WvW is at least challenging.
I’m not suggesting worlds be merged, I just want to hear the technical stand point and people’s opinions.
Main: Endeavorr
It’s possible, doesn’t sound like a bug or anything unfair. Armor also has speed boosts, top that off with consumables and you’re fast. Also, you’re a guardian, they tend to move slower (don’t know if that’s intentional or it just appears that way).
Main: Endeavorr
Makes sense, loneknight. It’s interesting to see the complexities between Kryta and Ascalonian descendants (I use that term since Ascalon technically doesn’t exist as a sovereign state anymore). Now, it would be really interesting to see the movement of the world progress to elaborate Ebonhawke’s purpose.
