Staff should be much lower priority now, skill 2 only got 2 bleed stacks due to Deathly Chill, skill 3 & 5 on scourge doesn’t proc bleed. Also skill 4’s condi transfer can be replaced with dagger’s 4 and mostly unnecessary with Nefarious Favor and Abrasive Grit. Skill 5 can be replaced with torch’s 5.
Personally I’ll be using scepter, axe, dagger and torch. Shades and wells are plenty of AoE.
I thought by “amount of barrier” he meant “maximum number of barriers”, not barrier HP – since he said “max barrier” later which couldn’t have meant “maximum number of barriers = 1/2 target’s health”.
Welp, I see now that basically healing power conversion to barrier HP is >at most< 50% of target’s HP. That was rather slippery even after reading ingame chat, forum, and reddit :P
Huh, that sounds even more grim if there’re healing power thresholds to gain integer amount of barriers. I guess that makes barrier survivability, lf generation to keep them up, and how much stats sacrificed into healing power into something for trial and error instead.

I was really confused by the difference between “amount” and “potency”, but I guess it means base barrier HP is 50% of ally health while healing power adds to that base value? If one healing power scales barrier HP less than 1 vit/10 HP/5 barrier HP (hopeful but not likely), I’ll probably keep dps stats in armours and runes and only stack healing power in accessories and weapons.
Also curious whether getting hit under spectral armour still generates LF if the damage is absorbed by the barrier. Nourishing Rot trait’s ICD made me feel like LF generation is gonna be pigeonholed to utilities (or axe/x sideweapon, can’t be trigger happy with axe #3 so it doesn’t corrupt boon which can be turned into torment/burning lol).
Asura’s Pain Inverter, poor men’s Rune of Perplexity + Spiteful Spirit ;_;
sigh relevant bump, still issue from scaling, salvage location, turn-in NPC greeting dialog, etc.
Turning off post-processing takes out all the darky-darky stuff except those around the border.
(I don’t think I’ll be wearing the wings constantly anyway, just theme-wise it looks fitting).
Edit: Oh woah, I have something in common with Lethe’s chest, legs, gloves!

Oh, wrong name >.> Well, one or the other, I didn’t really play the FF series and I mixed up some Japanese names, that’s all!
Aha, nice thread. I enjoy this song when in Orr: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ine3_jdQIIs (+1 to Nobuo Uematsu).
Wasn’t meant to be Ironwoman-ish until I fiddled around with red dyes and Gasmask, but it’s a sight at least.
Lol, took me a few seconds to get my “Ah”.
Despite the fiasco in town clothing system, I have to say I like the new hats options.

Alternatively, make legendar(ies) and let the aura(s) cover it, or spam-eat Omnomberry Ghost :P
Knocked an enemy off the cliff while an ally thief was heartseeking him. They both fell, yeah!

In the meantime, you indeed can transfer by putting it into white/basic-rarity items as long as it’s level 60+ (then the salvage kit later after grabbing the item via bank). But yes, oversight indeed.
Fascinating hypothesis
Boots are the same, crafted Masquerade; chest on the left is crafted Winged, chest on the right is from the Order of Whispers
Nothing personal, I just don’t like the floor.
Don’t forget to buy Mini Risen Knights and Dragon Coffers, lots and lots of them, while you’re at it!
Do not be conceited, ye sub-humans without legendaries.
Small thread necro. Regarding new weapon sets, they honestly should just rename/reanimate existing weapon set skills. Some should still make sense, for example guardian’s staff #2: Orb of Light into rifle #2: Acupuncture Bullet or something.
Saves them from brain aneursym in balancing stuff for content or new spvp map :/
S/he meant selling them to vendor/merchant NPCs
“Now we hope Zhaitan resurrects as Risen Zhaitan and goes Xzibit”
<- making Mystic Salvage Kits incase they nerf the recipe
Luck is a heathen’s way to describe god’s blessing. The time is nigh, repent, sinners!
Just kidding.
I was talking about pvp when I made the comparison between both builds. And what I’ve said is true. Shatter Mesmers can bring both Portal and Illusion of Life, which are meta-changing utility skills.
And I was talking about build-defining trait choices/bonuses, not utilities which can be switched on-the-go. Isn’t in Shatter line there’re really only manipulation range/cd and burst to rally someone, both related to Illusion of Life? Portal is in Inspiration, and the line (should) prevent from getting downed in the first place.
For pve (and even for pvp), it’s common for your phantasms to last enough time to strike at least twice. Not everyone in pvp decides to kill your phantasms, because it’s usually a much better strategy to burst the mesmer player instead. Granted, the change to the minor trait might change that situation, but at the same time, the buff to the signet is going to compensate for it. In general pve, as long as you know the best time to cast your phantasms, they can easily overlast. Use clones as decoys, cast both of your phantasms, interrupt foes when they are about to attack, etc. Again, the nerf to the trait is compensated by the buff to the signet.
Sure the choice is there, but that is also tied to dead target and disengaged target factors, which are also important rather than considering manual destruction (and active shatter) only.
[phantasm builds i.e. inspiration line] didn’t see more play because shatter builds bring very valuable team support with its utility.
Lol? Most of your posts here (e.g. “stays on the field until it’s manually destroyed”) are genuinely village joke materials. Your posts in ele forum are somewhat better, except the MH sword… thing.
Best explanation I’ve ever read too
I could say the mesmer is rather… not optimal as well. Random invisibilities (clone, elite, and torch #4 – this does good damage on appear too) without being used to open Blurred Frenzy (sword #2) or point blank shatter, but instead uses scepter #1 or #3 to break the stealth.
Don’t even use Churning, it’s weird for a mesmer to be hit by it. I agree with everyone else on pressure. If they go shatter → phantasms → shatter as dps rotation, you should push them to use clones defensively as soon as possible.

T1 human shoulders and Order of Whisper’s shoes :>
If only profane pants’ front can be longer (just a bit), and could dye darker (that’s how ‘light’ Midnight Ice is). The second/latest one has more triangles down the middle ;o

Supplies are 1-4, prices are 2-10g. Buyers are still 40s-1g (relative ecto price).
Since when did this happen? o.O

Then lollygag after the skill duration is over, because you don’t have enough AoE to kill them. Errm, just kite them while blasting with staff.
Still, your point about knowing your class’ ins-and-outs is valid.
Epic events need momentum. It becomes borefest during bomb planting and reinforcements with the champions (veterans are rather okay).
Overflow size. I’ve crashed twice mid-event which meant restarting fresh twice. There’s just no chance of rejoining my party through right-click join or exiting & re-entering.
Was it crazy and did you give him your number?
^ Now essentially killing zomb… err, risens > gathering. Funnily any fresh/uncaught bots would make more profits.
Yep, it’s insane <33. The dagger trait doesn’t make any difference since weapons are stripped, it seems.

Inquest Gloves (CoE dungeon) and Profane Shoes (store armour).
The underwater issue doesn’t appear if you’re swimming on the surface, only if you do submerge. It is fixed by either changing the dye or re-quipping armour.
Human/Female/Elementalist.
Edit: Doesn’t occur when watermask (from Cursed Shore’s Gavbeorn karma merchant) is un-equipped, seems like this is the culprit.
