I am find is everything stays as it is.

It depends on what you mean. Your PvE gear will remain. Your PvP gear will take the image of your PvE gear.

Extra Achievement Points After April 15th Cap

I kind of liked doing collecting as many AP as I could. Too bad that will be diminished.

If you’ve not reached the 12k mark yet, you’ve got many, many more months of being able to do all the dailies possible.

I’ve a little over 13k points and I’m not even to the halfway point of 10k daily APs.

This is what confuses me. if you are at 13K haven’t you exceeded 10k daily APs?

Please explain.

Hover over your AP menu. It will show you how many points come from Daily, Monthly and actual achievements.

I promise you do not have anywhere close to 10,000 points in daily.

2. People will be salvaging exotics instead of posting on the TP because they will get the skin for free and also a chance at ecto and sigil/rune. This means fewer of those exotics will be on the TP, driving up prices.

What? every exotic have a chance to drop a skin for example super skin or what?

He means to say that by salvaging the exotic that skin will be added to the wardrobe.

AP chests pre 15th vs post 15th

We’re I to open an AP chest today I would receive a box containing PVP skins, which admittedly most will be duplicate skins that I already have. Salvaging them is an option to pray for tokens, however.

I’d like to know if this system will be different post April 15th.

I felt this new topic was relevant as it was asked in many places but not answered in the Dolyak Express. If it was I apologize on missing the quote!

And the issue is non-relevant if the unid dyes are account bound.

IF. I haven’t seen anything that would suggest they will be account bound.

They’re giving free unid dyes for every dye that’s duplicated on your account. Some people already have 10-30 character slots. What’s stopping those people from cashing in on every fine dye to get hundreds, maybe even thousands, of unid dyes back. I find it hard to believe Anet wont have made them account bound in anticipation of such…dubious money grabs by players :P

This counters itself. Because everyone is doing this, we can tell by the price rise of common dyes, there will be millions of uid’s created on patch day. When everyone tries to cash these in on the TP the mountain of supply will drive the price of uids down to below 5s each. Thus no one really makes any money.

Why is this so hard to understand?

The people who are going to get rich off this are the ones that bought the cheap does for a few copper/silver.

And this is assuming unid dyes are tradeable after the patch.

Or those who choose to invest after the patch hits…but that’s a real long term idea which will likely only sit on the laurel conversion rate…probably not worth it.

Anyway – @OP – Yup.

yes, go buy all those “Cheap” 15s dyes so this guy can regroup from his losses.

Seeing as how unidentified dyes are worth double that amount, yeah they’re pretty cheap. Even if they’re made account bound, we can still use them to find masterwork or rare dyes (by chance) and make a profit, or at least score even.

You are comparing the wrong prices. But whatever – buy them all and get rich. Sounds like a gold mine.

I’m actually not.
I’m buying dyes for 15s each. Come the April update, duplicate dyes will become unidentified dyes, which are worth 32s CURRENTLY. That price is going to shoot up for the first few days of the update. People are going to want to unlock as many dyes as they can… and the supply will be more than enough. Still, the price will skyrocket momentarily.

See the prices here? I buy 6 dyes worth 15s, I get 5 unidentified dyes worth 32s back.
End result – 70s profit, minus whatever the tp takes (15% of original cost).

Let me spell out what Wanze is hinting at. The dye market will become saturated. Prices will plummet. But again, it’s cool. Don’t take anybody here for their word. Buy away.

Soloed a Camp as an ele and Complete the WvW achievement in 4 days (started playing on Monday) and this is from someone who used to complain about having nothing to do in the game 4 month ago and scepter ele been weak and slow in WvW.

What changed?

Got better gears. Exotics and trinkets improved the game play.

Improved knowledge of skills and survivability thought movement.

Changed to D/D in WvW and flexible to staff, scepter and focus as needed.

Guest to play Triple Wurms and met a larger and exciting player base.

Joined WvW guilds and made friends there.

Sold loot and purchased the Commander’s Compendium.

Most importantly, time in the game added about 178 hours in the last 4 months bringing total game time 518 hours in 585 days.

Really excited to see all the features in the upcoming Feature Pack that would address many of the causes of complain I had.

You also started playing, on average, about 45 minutes more a day. Maybe there is a correlation to time spent in game for you.

Prior to your enthusiasm 4 months ago you averaged around .73 hours a day over the course of 465 days. Can’t really do much in 45 minutes…

Elementalists will be HUGE, for sooo many reasons. They’re squishy, but they have SO MANY HEALS! Elementalists can also play crit chance, crit damage (arcane skills always crit), condition, power, boons, or basically any build and be amazing at it.
Also, they can summon the best weapons ever. Fiery Greatsword has the strongest damage in the game, and frost bow is no laughing matter either. Glyph of storms provides huges dps or constant blind…

Guardians will also be highly sought after, for reasons I don’t need to explain.
Warriors and engineers will kinda be neutral.
Everyone else will kinda take a backseat.

Time Warp will keep mesmers in a spot well above rangers/necros.

Also why are you trying to Crit things which don’t have the ability to be crit? Somebody has a case of the elelove.

Right now, AP chests have a PvP skin box inside of them that gives you about 6 PvP skins. Which I’ve always just deposited into my PvP locker because I don’t PvP. But on 4/15 those skins will become available for me in PvE, which is awesome.

My question is, will AP chests opened after 4/15 have a box in them containing skin unlocks, much like the old chests did?

Please answer this.

What I mean is: after 4/15, when we receive an AP chest, will we get anything new to replace the currently rewarded PvP skins box? Will we get a Skins Box that has a couple skin unlocks, basically replacing what the PvP skins will become? Or will we just not get anything to replace it? Or more WvW badges? Simply put, what change will the AP chest see due to the removal of the PvP box?

I’d be curious for an answer as well. I have a 9.500 rank chest I just received last night that I am concerned with opening so close. I could see it going either way. Open it now and get dupe skins I can neither salvage nor use. Open it after the 15th and get…nothing.

The skin is the only transferable item…the ability to always have best in stats is…priceless.

Ascended is much, much easier to obtain. If you get a Legendary, it’s for the skin, let’s be real.

to be frank, Legendary was introduced as a “Best in Stat- Always” situation. I could care less about the looks. I don’t want to grind ever again if I do it once for those weapons.

When they raise the cap on gear, and they will, you will have your compensation.

At the moment, due to the way they implemented this change, I would hedge my bets that you will go unanswered because of this very idea that the stats will one day increase.

Ferocity: A Failed "Solution"

pswendel.8179

You seem confused Cranked. Are people running zerer gear because they like it or because it’s the most efficient? You seem to think there is no difference between the two choices. I say there is. I bet you don’t wear it because you like it, but because it’s the most efficient. Make something else efficient, and you would just as happily use that. I say, make multiple choices equally efficient, and let the people decide.

On the contrary, I am far from it. YOU are acting like people only play it because it is what works the best. More than likely because you can’t survive in zerk gear, end up running some other build and then QQ here about zerks being bad for the game. I play it because it works the best AND I like it. I don’t want to run 4 hour dungeon paths when I can do it in 15 minutes and get the same reward for something I have already done 100+ times.

The problem stems from people wanting to run whatever build they want and still join the zerk groups so they can get a quick efficient run and get their reward as well. When the zerk parties won’t let them join they cry that they “can’t play the way they want”. When the reality all along has been you (or anyone else like you) can make a group of your own at any time and play exactly the way YOU like and leave others to do the same. The real “problem” is that is not good enough for most people.

I will play this game in DPS gear until they nerf it to the ground and dungeon paths take 3 times as long and when that day comes I will move on to another game.

QFT.

It’s rather coincidental that I can’t play the way I want because some people don’t like the Zerk Meta.

How much time will a dungeon take now? 10% longer? 30?

Form some groups with lfg. For God’s sake. Let me have my gear.

While I agree, other indications of the sales would tell me the opposite. I still conclude poor communication rather than sneaky behavior – as poor communication between a net’s marketing and development has occurred plenty of times.

A refund of gems is not a refund of money. So if I bought a dupe set of armor during the sale – I’m not getting my money back. It’s an aggravating company to deal with. They are either incompetent or sneaky. Which is worse?

I would vote that town clothes be added to the wardrobe pool as separate skins. They are already individualized items now. A lot of people enjoy mixing and matching town clothes and also would like to wear town clothes in combat. Without knowing the technical hurdles involved, I believe that keeping them as individualized items is the best compromise to satisfy the largest quantity of players.

As someone who has paid real money for some of the town clothes, I am disappointed at this change and reduction of enjoyment in my financial investment. To me, this is poor business practice and makes me hesitant of investing financially going forward.

I have to second this. 100%
