everybody likes the idea of Heroes as far as I know
I don’t.
Please no more braindead NPC “helping”, knocking mobs away, removing defiance, spamming light fields, bugging out somewhere 10 miles away, aggroing random stuff
Sounds like a lot of pugs. I’m all for heroes. They can’t be any worse than the pugs.
Alright so the new meta class is Mesmer
That way you get the two most valuable items (greatswords and cloths)
anyone know a mesmer farming guide? ;3
Time to start getting my Mesmer those last 40 levels he needs. Maybe next patch we can get race drops too
It would need a serious cooldown, something like 15 minutes. If you could do it whenever you felt like battles would become never-ending.
With the addition of Ascended Crafting the demand for silk scraps went up considerably, yet the demand for Leather didn’t go up at all. There’s almost 8 million Thick Leather Sections sitting on the TP going for minimum price and not a single buy order. The amount of Thick Leather Section sinks needs to go up. Maybe require more for ascended equipment, maybe new armor skins requiring a generous leather sink, just something to make Thick Leather Sections useful instead of just wasted inventory space.
That’s too sensible for ArenaNet to implement.
To me, this means I should be able to access content in the game without needing to do any excessive farming
Except you do have access to all the content (except high level fractals). Name one bit of content that requires you to have top gear besides fractals. Not dungeons, people have soloed them naked before, not world bosses, people bring under levelled characters to them. The word you are looking for isn’t “content” it is “rewards”.
People complain about not enough dungeons. they added a path to atherblade path
They also removed a path. 33 + 1 – 1 is still 33.
Wait what? We can now farm clovers in PvP? I had gotten to rank 10 in PvP, but not played too much as I lacked a team. I’d definitely play it more if I got some reward for me PvE character too.
Considering that we get updates every 2 weeks for free, I can’t complain
Tried this ingame before complaining on forums?
Yeesh, kids these days….
Considering you said it sucked in your other thread, should I assume you’re trolling?
Read the post.
I had it in reverse. I thought they would let us exchange 1g for 9 gems, until I saw the “gems for gold” on top.
Up until now, gold for gems had always been on the left side. Changing it was kinda dumb.
…The irony here is kinda funny. You didn’t read what each side was, and I didn’t read your whole post. Sorry for my part in all of the confusion.
I’m hoping for a return of the old ones, and new ones.
Most likely Human. I don’t know why, but I enjoy playing as humans in fantasy RPGs. Not sure if it’ll be a male or not. My current main is already male, so it seems uncreative to basically copy my old main onto the Revenent, but making someone of the opposite gender always strikes me as kinda perv-y, especially when the majority of female armor borderlines skimpy.
I’m just hoping for new armor. I’ve started trying to 100% the wardrobe, but I’d like armor I’m likely to use.
- Given that we have that feature, why should anyone be immune?
To prevent pugs from kicking you at the last boss in a dungeon to let guild mates run with you.
I’m not much of a roleplayer, but my Sylvari is now a crazy prophet preaching about the coming of Mordremoth and the end of the oppression the Sylvari face.
I am actually afraid of guardians.
Every time I see one in PvP I go:“Nope” and turn around.
If you ever fought me you’d know not all of us are good.
We already have an unacceptable, monsterous and vile race that only exists to be hated and, Lyssa willing, eventually destroyed – the Humans.
Fixed it for you!
Will we still be able to get dungeon master? If not, I need to run this path by 1 pm tomorrow.
Only problem is if in my overflow there aren’t 80 players
How will Transmutation Charges work? Will we just buy them on the gemstore like Transmutation Crystals/Stones or is there something different in mind (apart from the conversion of crystals/stones to charges).
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. =)
Not if it’s plagiarism.
I don’t think having people run around in their underwear is the vision Arenanet has for their game.
We could always just take off our armor.
GW2 doesn’t stand for Guild Wars 2 it stands for Grind Wars 2.
Yeah, they’ve even confirmed the day it will be released!…
…the day Half-Life 3 launches.
I see no problem with people farming mats. They’re what keeps the prices low.
Weapons aren’t too hard to get, and offer 5% DPS just from the straight weapon strength bonus. I suggest at least getting that. Armor is mostly for completionists.
There are plenty of PvE exclusive armor skins, it’s just that people don’t bother to go looking for them.
Except those exclusive pieces of armor don’t have any hard content attached to them. The closest we have is Arah, which can be soloed.
I’m sorry, but PvP can have their new exclusive skins. I’m glad they have them, and I’ll congratulate anybody who puts the work into getting them.
No one is asking PvP exclusive armor be removed, we’re just asking if we can get some hard-to-acquire. skill-based armor too.
GW2 will probably never come to consoles, and if it does, it sure won’t be the Wii U. I don’t mean to come off rude, but the Wii U isn’t powerful enough to handle GW2, and regular consoles don’t have enough buttons.
I heard that theyre only started with wii and wiiu would be wiiu2 or whatever , then it’ll be even better then ps4
The Wii U is Nintendo’s current gen (PS4/Xbone console). Anything other than that is simply rumor, and doesn’t change the fact that the Wii U cannot run Guild Wars 2, even on minimum specs.
- We know that none of them will be level 80 (Hopefully, none of them will be > level 77)
Imagine everyone farming for a level 79 rare that’s better than a legendary.
As much as I want harder content, I do not want it at the expense of other content. If I had a say, id say for a new hard boss and leave this one as is.
This. We do not want Shatterer to become a ghost town like what happened with Tequatl.
Tequatl isn’t a ghost town. I kill him every night at reset.
I really don’t know. The play-how-you-want crowd are really hypocritical, because they’re getting mad at someone for playing how they want. They aren’t really a play-how-you-want crowd, they’re an I-have-a-right-to-every-group crowd. I don’t participate in zerker only groups, but I don’t yell at them for playing how they want.
Major: Profession Stat
Minor: Vitality, Power
It’s a LEGENDARY weapon … work for it and stop whining like a kitten
But you can buy it. Not really Legendary.
I haven’t played Guild Wars 1, but a lot of the ideas sound pretty cool. Guild vs Guild in particular.
I’m fine with Ascended weapons if that’s where they draw the line. Exotics were a bit too easy to feel like I really accomplished something so Ascended weps look like they’ll give me some satisfaction after crafting.
It needs to be removed. I was playing a tournament yesterday and one of the guys says “This is my first time in PvP” and he ended up with the most points but was easily the worst player on the team, as he would cap a point and it would be lost 5 seconds later, whereas the rest of the team held the points.
and will that really help you anyway? revenge is nice but it doesnt get you back the time you invested before you were kicked
Arresting a murderer won’t bring back the dead person.
Getting my awesome bunker Guardian turned into a frickin Moa bird is really annoying. That’s my only complaint about Mesmer.
Number of 80 toons.
Achivment points.
PvP Rank.
WvW rank.
Acquired legendaries.
AP, PvP rank and WvW rank are a good idea, but legendaries and 80s aren’t, imo. Legendaries come down to gold grind, and the amount of 80s only tells you anything about the diversity of what they play. I only have two 80s, but I’ve played enough to have many, many more. I don’t want my opinions on endgame, dungeons, boss events, etc. discarded because I like my Guardian.
Why would they have to be fully redressed? As far as I know, it would cost the same amount as it would prior to the patch because you can still get different armor, you just pay the same fee you would for a transmutation crystal beforehand. Same cost, except you only need one skin for as many transmutes as you want.
why is player to player trading considered bad? I thought that was a part of MMos
Players are allowed to trade, they just aren’t allowed to use the LFG as a form of free advertising. The LFG is specifically designed for players to find other players for Dungeons, Story Instances, and Open World Content. It would be the equivalent of going onto a dating site and trying to sell a TV. While nothing is wrong with selling the TV, the dating site should and will take down your advertisement.
It probably has to do with changes to the commander tag, including the ability to change the icon color to differentiate you from other commanders.
/puts tinfoil hat on
Or maybe ANet’s trolling us and the first mount will be a rainbow.…. Can we fire toy pony bows from the top of it?
No, just pink Unicorns.
They respawn almost as soon as you kill them. Ignore them until they’re about half way through the room, since they go down really easy.
How about they just don’t upscale the events?
Thing is, its not just not getting new stuff, they’ll still get Sp taken away from them. Atm there’s still too much alck of information, but already it seems that there’s too much “buy it or lose” it around this expansion. It all seems to point that people will miss out on the conclusion of the LS cliffhanger without the expansion. Now on Skill Points. It just seems to pile on stuff that “forces” people to buy it or leave themselves kitten. (As if not getting the new stuff wasn’t enough of a handicap).
I’m really not speaking for myself, unless a disaster strikes i’ll be on the forefront to purchasing it, but just the principle of the thing kinda Irks me.
1. We don’t know that players who don’t buy the expansion will have their Skill points on level up taken away. You’re basing this all on speculation.
2. Well what would you do about the cliffhanger ending? Everyone who bought Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (or saw it in theaters) did not get a free copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, they had to buy the next part of the story. Those who went to see Captain America: First Avenger did not get a free ticket to see Marvel’s The Avengers. Just because there’s a cliffhanger ending doesn’t mean you are entitled to see the next part of the story for free.
3. The “new stuff” is reserved for those who paid for it. With the exception of Eve Online most MMOs require you to purchase the new content to play it. You are not entitled to get the new content that the developers have made just because you bought the base game.
Unforunately this take all the risk out of dungeons. Also the effect on the economy…
Risk in dungeons? My worst dungeon run only cost me 10 silver. Your armor still breaks, it just doesn’t cost to repair it.
My guesses for some Specializations.
First one is obvious.
- Necromancer/Deathknight – Uses Greatswords to slaughter enemies, and applies lots of crowd control.
Second one is mostly speculation, but makes sense to me. Devs have been trying to get Guardians into a more offensive place (Litany of Wrath for example.)
- Guardian/Crusader – Uses Longbows as its new weapon, and applies protection and aegis to allies from afar. Applies might and fury to him/herself and allies.
A little far fetched, but I can see the pact training Elementalists into hardened soldiers for dealing with Mordremoth’s minions.
- Elementalist/Battlemage – Uses swords as its new weapon. It imbues allies with the power of the elements.
Let’s not make Belinda’s death a sad thing ArenaNet, let us have her sword!
I predict… disappointment. It’ll probably be good, but after the living world I’m wary of anything Arena Net does. Hopefully the expansion will be better.
