I noticed that this HoT verticality and deadly enemies will not suit a lot of people. For example, my girlfriend refused to play in HoT map without me. It is just too hard and annoying. I’m not against it. I like the idea of party openworld content. I’m just saying it is not for everyone.

I got insta downed twice today on my thief. Im using the Power/pre/tough/ferocity amulet and i knew it was coming but it was a close match and i needed to get on it to prevent it from getting capped. Boom insta downed

As thief you are not really supposed to run onto contested point. You steal the empty ones and gang poor souls in the woods. Always on move and never against stationary targets like guardian ele or scrapper

Please, do daily restarts or something. I travel through the world and find almost no dynamic events and if I find some, they are usually stuck. It was said, that in Orr will be only dynamic events. I just made circle around a whole cursed shore and found 1!!!! (and some stuck events)
I really do not know what I can do in this game… sPvP is not for me; for WvW I have to wait half an hour and then I get disconnect for no reason…
This game should not been released until 2013, it is obviously still in beta phase.

I think all of these bosses are easily doable. Now please gimme 700 gold on second ascended set… (as reforging old armor with putting new expensive as hell runes into it is pretty expensive and not worth it)

The problem, at least for me, is the fact that every class needs very specific DPS build. Either pure dps or condi… All the runes and sigils people need for raids now cost so much money that I am actually unable to join some serious group.

tldr: Raids are locked behind gold, and only then behind skill.

- I think there is even +20% experience infusion for laurels.

Here it comes again. The game became F2P after more than 3 years of the time you could play. F2P is not really FREE, as you have limited character slots, inventory slots, chatting options, and Trading post limitations too.

Your deluxe edition already gave you deluxe stuff, it was some guild influence points, PVP rank points, ability to use 2-week long personal banker on every newly created character and the elite skill Mistfire Wolf. There is no reason for ArenaNet to give you anything more when you buy HoT.

Lol, does it really work like this on your server? Or where do you play? NA or EU? On EU region i always use group finder and nobody asks what equip I have. And AC is pretty lame easy dung, you don’t need full ascended zerker even on speed runs.

I consider myself such player, yet I was not accepted, because I’ve built my guardian on soldier stats and condi removing runes/traits which is very useful for the whole party, yet it lack some DPS so I was told GL BB

Those zerkers are just dumb. Sorry, but they do. The most fun is when I see them play open world and some champ insta-down them. Most of them don’t even try to dodge. Thousand Blades rulezzzz, I guess.

If you can’t farm tier 2,3,4,5 wood (example from Bifrost collection, probably the most expensive one), the I would like to see how you farm T6, lodestones, gold, and all the other requirements for full legendary.
I say, material costs of precursor collections are reasonable. Just chill and do it slowly…one ascended mat per day + PvP and wvw dailies for those new tokens.

What is the point of thrusting flowers when you don’t have to navigate? What is the point of geysers when you don’t have any fun finding out their patern?

After this nerf there could be just teleporters instead of flowers and pillars instead of geysers.

Yet most people I’ve pugged with seem convinced they need toughness gear for raids and are geared that way. So DPS is low overall.

That’s not even true, all groups managed to bean vale guardian have 1 tank with high toughness, that’s a fact.

I’m actually quite satisfied with current development. Player character voice acting would be nice, but if Anet does not have enough resources and making additional voice act would mean they have less money for gameplay development, then it is better to not have it in. But if it is only about localisation and timing then, please add it. 99% of current story is told during gameplay in chat bubbles + voice act. Your player character is just silent all the time like Gordon Freeman. If he/she could get some dialogue bubbles + voice act, it would be greatly appreciated.

I dropped a few tears of happiness and sadness when I heard this. This is exactly how I understand the concept of a hero. And it makes me both, really thrilled about playing this and forging my legend, but also sad as I kind of wish to live in Tyria for real :-) .

Well, non of the 3 editions is attractive.
The first one is too expensive…. I expected 35-40€. The extra 5 euros is not much difference but I it’s not cool of the NCsoft, especially when I need to pay 10€ more just to be able to play one of the main features of the Xpac – Revenant.
…. So the game is actually 55€, the same as the Vanilla pre-purchase release. And considering the Xpac is much smaller than the Vanilla, then meh. You are charging too much.

The second edition for 75€. Well, I suppose this one is nicer, especially for people who want those skins. But for me, 75€ is too much for game and a bunch of textures as a bonus.

The final edition is the only one which is actually a good value… Those 4000 are on a very generous discount here.

But the question is, who has 100€ to pay for a game these days? … actually just a an expansion pack.

i farmed for 1 hr once and 4, then another time 2 hrs and got 0. one time got i even got 3 within 30 mins, and then nothing for 3 hrs. sometimes using no MF other times close to 140+. the drop chance is so low thats just how it goes.

Before the Southsun event I was geting 2 per hour s I th h 160 mf. When the event started I went down to 0-1. I’m assuming the rng changed to reflect the huge increase mf in SS and anet made it a blanket nerf to the rng table. Even at 400 mf in SS my drops were sbout theb same as pre event

Am sure your asumption is false. No nerf to rng table… With 200% MF in SC it does make a big diferrence. You are just being unlucky with those lodestones…

I think we can expect something like rework of Claw of Jormag or maybe some other open-world bosses. But from what they said about the update it sounds like there definitely will be some filler content that can be in a way considered a living story.

We’ve cleared the Raid with a DH every week for weeks now, its really not that big a deal.

I know, but the problem is, I’m not a part of any community in GW2. I am in guilds but I didn’t create real gaming friendships. Thus, even when I meet some new people willing to take me to raid with them, it is completely understandable that they don’t want to take in guardian, because they can take burnzerker and chrono can tank instead. Just because they don’t feel like lowering party’s DPS just to accommodate some stranger. But I agree, there are people who don’t mind guardian. It is just sad to see all the negativity in Pugs/ semi-pug parties.

See??? That is another AMAZING idea!!! Add scribing recipes and materials to dungeons!!!! That would justify the gold reward nerf as people would be able to sell looted scribing mats.
