How do you suggest we “close down” a company in another country, on another continent? Yes, they have accounts. Some are purchased. Others are stolen, and they’re not stolen through a loophole in our systems, but through insecure practices on the part of the user or through a breach of another service where the user has used the same password. (Example: User has 123XYZ as their password on SomeMailProvider.com and uses the same on Guild Wars 2.)
This means:
- We cannot close down another company.
- We will not IP Block so that entire nations, regions, or continents are unable to join our game. (That would seem most likely to impact legitimate players, and the bad guys would use work-around.)
- We can help players who are hacked, and we can offer advice on how to best prevent it, but we cannot actively prevent individual account thefts because that’s simply outside our reach.
Which means that you should:
- Block them in chat.
- Submit a report (right click on their name in chat, left click to open the report window, then choose “gold seller” as the reason).
- Never buy gold from a third party and don’t accept it from those who do.
With your help, we can do our best to reduce the annoying chatter and, coupled with not supporting their business through spending, will have a significant impact on the company. Thanks for your help!

The ocx/sea (aussie, kiwis, asians) were the chill ones on a server. Dunno why peeps hated on them but needed them for the carry. It’s the NA kids that forget to take their meds that cause all the drama. Wish we had more asians tbh.

It can’t be that dead if TC is doing only doing marginally better than them.
DB for a while now were a consistent first or second place for most of their time in t1. Now there are almost 30k pts behind the second place server TC and headed in the wrong direction (or right one, depending on who there wants to go back to t2).
Really the only servers who seem to want to be t1 and enjoy it’s blob play style is BG TC JQ, and really after spending so much time up there by themselves building for that style of blob play it’s to be expected for other servers to falter after a while, YB and DB. Can JQ rebuild their NA to stay up there? they’re open again, or will Mag push up there by default when DB drops.
NA prime in T1 is blobby as hell but OCX/SEA actually isn’t that blobby and is the only tier where there is consistent action. If you’re looking for GvGs in OCX for example, T1 is the only place where you can do it (eN/LATE/TF/KnM etc).
If you want blob fights in SEA? T1 is the only place for it. Every other tier is PvDoor and that’s boring. There is a reason most OCX/SEA players transfer UP not down and it isn’t to PvDoor or win the PPT. It’s for people to play with/against.
What NA prime people fail to understand is, there is extremely low population of OCX/SEA players nowadays such that even to congregate on 3 servers there’d be maybe 1 map queue on each, or 2 if lucky. This is evident in all game modes, there aren’t enough of us to go around unlike NA. We don’t have that luxury to move to different tiers.
So sure you can cheer for DB’s collapse and look at it as lol wagonbrand kek but in the end all this NA bandwagoning is hurting OCX/SEA players on JQ/DB who just want to play the game really.
Also now with the linking business going on there’s no more stability of T1 so if you get a bad roll week then that’s basically no action the entire week (eg. JQ capped 10 keeps in SEA on a Saturday night). But yeah yeah PPT PPT PPT scoring changes blah blah is all NA ever cares about.
Ocx, sea is actually a very loose term. People always go “Asians” “Asians” but how many are REALLY Asians lol. This game is really unfriendly to people outside of NA and getting unfriendlier by the minute.

No one “hibernates” on purpose. It’s normally due to boredom. Dragonbrand isn’t Hibernating. Their guilds aren’t sleeping at all. They are leaving. Leaving to other servers.
All T1 servers hibernated to some degree around HOT to open up, and servers have done it since.
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro
T1 is cancer, a lot of these Tier 1.5 – Tier 2 servers that get “promoted” to T1 break up and go through this. This time it’s Dragonbrand, as it does not belong in T1. But hey thank Anet, think anybody there cares? Or maybe they do care, but they just don’t understand WvW enough to know how bad Blackgate is to the game mode.
Things are the way they are in T1 is a result of the system. No worries though, someone at the company is happy all these guilds spent gems to transfer. Working as intended.
When DN moved to DB we were very adamant about not wanting to go to T1. We stated if DB were ever to go to T1 we would be leaving.
It’s the ebb and flow of WvW servers. It isn’t imploding, it’s just going back to a tier it can be sustained in.

BG starts losing – Dey hibernating!
TC starts losing – Dey hibernating! (at a good time too since they got a link)
DB starts losing – Dey imploding! call the rescue pound the cats and dogs are jumping ship! Dey the next YB!
Maybe the smaller DB guilds are tired of running into t1 blobs and having to voltron to counter it, hell I heard DN moved to t3 SoS. T2 will be a better place for DB, maybe it’s time Mag went for first lol rotate the dream!

Dragonbrand will be okay and it’s not “imploding”. Before they went t1 they had a certain amount of guilds and a strong community. Some guild left yeah, but they’ll be okay. They still have their community. They don’t want to be t1 anymore and I don’t blame them. Being in T1 takes a lot of hard work and it can wear on you. Db will go T2 and it’ll be nicer for them.
2-3 weeks ago TC hibernated, 4-6 weeks ago BG hibernated. Nothing new to see here, DB plays hard and deserves some downtime too.
5 mystic coins for a reward track would be way too much. Essentially 150 mystic coins per month for every WvW player.
And this is a problem why? Besides, how many people are realistically going to do the GoB reward track 25 times a month so they can get 5 mystic coins from it each time? None. And if someone really has finished all the other one time reward tracks and also completed the repeatable ones enough times to have completed all of the dungeon sets as well as gotten all of the triumphant and legacy armor then I really don’t see a problem with rewarding such dedication by giving them mystic coins.
The problem with Mystic Coins is that they aren’t just used for legendaries. 82 other weapons require mystic coins as well, as well as feasts of food recipes and boxes of armor sets.
If Mystic Coins were only used for legendaries it would be fine, but they are used for so much more besides legendary weapons. I don’t know what a good solution is, because ANet has shown us that there is a large supply in game, its just being controlled by TP barons. I’m not sure if Anet can do anything about that without tanking the price, but short of that I would like to see some of the other recipes have their mystic coin components exchanged with something else.
There is plenty of reason to increase supply. 82 of them as someone mentioned earlier… I happen to believe its more then that as there are numerous food/consumable recipes that take these as well. The problem is that they tie in with legendaries. As i said before, these are obtainable at about the same rate of T6 mats droprates, so it doesnt make sense to keep them that rare.
