I agree completely. I was so disappointed to find out that they were not going to do expansions. I don’t care how many times they claim they still can, they aren’t doing ANYTHING that is expansion worthy, and there is nothing on the horizon as far as players know since they wont tell us anything other than “oh yea uhh…we are working on big stuff sure…”
I was extremely optimistic about this living world nonsense when I first heard about it back in may. I stopped playing guild wars 3 months after launch mostly due to not having any friends of mine playing it any more. However a couple buddies of mine decided it would be a good time to give the game another go due to the thought they were going to “churn out a lot of new content” due to the expansion of there living world teams. My first thought was wow that could be really awesome think of the things they brought to us when the game first came out south sun and 2 rather fun festivals loaded with cool stuff.
Here where the problem is. Nothing they have come out with is permanent. We haven’t seen a new zone, a zone getting reworked, anything at all. In fact we were told around june time that the content was going to be more permanent due to a larger living story team. But we still haven’t (excluding the cometic rework of the great collapse).
Looking back it makes me wonder, I bet anything south sun, winters day, and the mad king event were all completed pre launch. Just look at the evidence, have we seen anything near that large since december? Not even close! SAB is the only exception but its not hard to churn out an 8bit world.
Another thing the living world was suppose to do was evolve the world. Things were suppose to change the world “forever”. A good example would be the karka attack on lions arch destroying the tower or the mad king blowing up the lions arch statue in order to get into lions arch. Well once again haven’t seen any of that since december. And whats the kicker to that? The lions statue is back!??! out of thin air? why? so we can recycle the mad king event for this year. Its a complete joke! I remember the interview with colin johanson talking about players being able to say thing like “I remember the lion statue that used to be in lions arch”. Guess they were to lazy to stick to that.
The point is, the living world system NEEDS to get scraped and just do expansion they can’t keep up and all there doing is hyping the kitten out of content to keep people interested. Our next “big” update is a “rework” of tequatl that just makes him a bit harder and adds a couple steps, and aLFG tool that should have been in the game pre launch. This is such a joke, anyone with a brain should realize this. Guild wars 1 expansion every 6 months was way better due to people getting all these features and more (new zones, story, skills, professions).
I can’t be the only one who thinks this living world system is all a gimic.
The pavillion will be used again in the future, like SAB. I just banked my tickets for next time.

There are STILL bugs that when getting attacked or certain skills/passives are active that I will get ruined chunks of ore and logs even though I’m using the highest level pick.
My friend (Guardian) and I (Mesmer) were running through the CS area for map competition and on multiple occasions we both ran across this bug completely ruining harvesting. The worst was when this bug happened while harvesting Ori or Ancient Logs.
Please fix this bug. Thanks!

Worry not, a fix is inbound.
The mesmer trait Deceptive Evasion is supposed to create a clone at the end of your dodge roll. This functions, however the clone has the incorrect target – often targeting the closes enemy instead of your actual target.
This is extremely frustrating. For example in wvw, you may dodge an attack from another player and summon a clone, but that clone instead starts attacking a nearby mob. This means not only do you have a wasted clone up, that mob is now aggrod – due to a bug – and means you have more to deal with. Also it messes up shatters as you will be hitting the wrong target.
This is essential to resolve for mesmers in wvw/pve. Please ensure the clone summoned correctly targets your current target on dodge. Thank you.

Mesmer phantasms are supposed to continually attack the target they are summoned on and not change target, however they constantly change target. This happens a lot against thieves in wvw – which is extremely frustrating when you are fighting a thief, they stealth then the phantasm starts attacking the nearby drake instead.
I do know what what triggers the change, some times they remain on target even after a long stealth, other times they change immediately. This makes managing phantasms difficult.
I have noticed this also occur when fighting mobs in pve/wvw.
Thank you.

I was doing a search on Guardian Charr and for some reason it found no matches. I know there are some threads out there that contain this.

You don’t need the wallet. As long as you enter SAB with all of your baubles, you can use them all. For example, if I were to enter SAB with 5 stacks of baubles, it would show a max of 999 on the UI but I can continue to make purchases. The only thing is that I cannot gain baubles above the bag capacity.
Hmm, didn’t know that… I never tried it as I don’t like to waste baubles :P
And are there dig sites in world 2?
That would be like Liadri and Giganticus Lupicus having a kid who goes on to give Hitler public relations lessons.
Just... no. There’s evil, and then there’s EVIL.

I think he’s annoyed at the bugged checkpoint in his picture. Having done this trib mode level for the first time tonight and encountering the same thing, yeah it’s really heartbreaking. Finally getting there then dying afterwards and getting sent back to the previous checkpoint you just spend 20 min finishing. Not to mention that checkpoint before the trampolines has you ressing and insta dieing because the res point is ontop of spikes…..
Very surprised these issues haven’t been fixed since GW2 has been patched 5 or so times since SAB came back.
Agreed with everything mentioned. The volume of the Boombox to the owner carrying it is about 1/3 compared to the flute, horn or bell. And on top of that the radius is near non-existent for anyone passing by. You have to be practically on top of the person with the boombox to hear it, and even then, its only 1/3 of what the owner hears. Barely audible at all.
Super Adventure Box Teaches Skills!!

I have been playing Guild Wars 2 for a little while now, but am still very much a noob. However, this post is not about that. My three year old daughter loves Super Adventure Box. When it first debuted, we played it every day. When it went away, every day we got on the computer, she’d ask me if Super Adventure Box was working. Now that it’s back, we’ve been playing every day. The first day we played for eight hours. Healthy? Probably not, however, Super Adventure Box is more than just a game for us. It’s a tool that allows her to learn problem solving, critical thinking, and coordination. She can work on numbers (in Pain Cliffs we synchronize hitting the number 9 to push the logs). When things go wrong, she used to get very upset and start panicking. Now, she calmly figures out what she can do to get out of the “gooey water” or get out of rushing rapids. She used to sit on my lap and play with me, she’d steer and I’d control the mouse (her hands aren’t quite big enough to do the keyboard and mouse at the same time.), but now she plays on her dad’s computer while I play on mine. We just finished Rushing Rapids on normal mode (usually we play on easy for her sake), and are attempting to tackle Pain Cliffs. I just wanted to say thank you to the developers of Super Adventure Box. You have made my daughter’s life complete, and have assisted in teaching her some valuable skills. Who knew an April Fool’s joke could be so beneficial? ArenaNet rocks. This is a short video of her playing Rushing Rapids for the first time on normal. Maybe not very impressive to you, but for being three, I think she’s pretty awesome.

I would bet on red weapons for trib mode, and underwater weapons for baubles. But armor would definitely be nice.
we need ascended food that can swap stats too.
As an owner of two legendaries, I fully support this idea. It would encourage farming through the reward of obtaining any build at any moment: diversity. Furthermore, I’d accept to pay a small fee for changing those stats, like we can do now with traits.
Something like this will be enough for me for not leaving this game when I finishes SAB TM.
“Guild wars is for everybody, freedom is ascended, zerg is strength”
~ G. Orrwell, great shaman of the new flame legion, 1984 AE.
I’m a legendary owner, and I completely support this.
As stated above, legendary weapons were meant to be aesthetic only. The swappable-stat feature currently on them is great, but I don’t see why it should be a legendary exclusive, it was merely an attempt to fix the transmuting legendaries problem.
At least anet could do this for sigils. If weapons had 3 or so sigil slots, and you could choose which one is active at a time, it would save those who use multiple sigils and weapon types a huge headache, especially for people who have multiple characters. Having to make 3 ascended weapons of the same type to accommodate different sigils is extremely user UN-friendly…

That looks amazing, and I approve entirely!!!
Edit: to expand on your idea, I have attached a photoshopped version that could be used as the “night time” eternity, maybe?

Amazing. If eternity turned into this it would certainly remind people of the fact that it actually is a legendary
As I have been reading from many people now, even with the small changes to the super legendary sword Eternity most owners of the sword are quite underwhelmed. Let me tell you I have been playing this game from release, and for me to just finish this weapon and see the exact same look of sunrise and twilight just kinda makes it seem less legendary than having sunrise and twilight separate. Yes the foot falls were nice, but having black fire and black footprints while wielding sunrise in the daytime looks very weird at least for me. I have to say I would expect no less from Anet seeing their fantastic art team to create an entirely original skin for the much neglected Eternity. I mean its name is Eternity for petes sake! That name alone cries out for its own unique look. So what I have done tonight is create my own idea of how I would love Eternity to look. I hope you Devs take a good look at this post and I especially hope they like my idea and use it in the future for Eternity. If you guys like my rendition of Eternity Bump this post and leave comments so that the devs can see and maybe take it into consideration The file is attached to this post, tell me what you guys think
P.S. don’t comment about other legends needing attention, in my opinion all legendary’s are fine, I am only disappointed with Eternity simply because it is the only one of a kind super legendary in the game..you work for 2 which is ALLOT of work and you get what you already had only you are at the beck and call of night and day..to me eternity is a step down from sunrise and twilight in its current state.
+1 as well, anything that takes weeks/months/years to complete needs to be an account achievement, not a character achievement.
Laptop: M6600 – 2720QM, AMD HD6970M, 32GB 1600CL9 RAM, Arc100 480GB SSD
I will +1 this suggestion whenever I see it. Legendary weapons should be account bound, not soul bound.
Watch the 19:05 mark of this video by MattVisual:
Guild Wars 2: Colin Johanson PAX 2013 Interview w/ Your Questions!
Like Colin said, it takes ages to make a legendary weapon, not to mention it’s very expensive. Precursors are extremely rare, and even if they are becoming (most likely, according Colin in the same video from the link above) craftable, we can all assume it still won’t be easy to make them. Gifts of Exploration are limited to two per character that achieves world completion, so you would have to create a new character and use its own gifts if you want more than two legendary weapons for your original character (or pay thousands of gold buying one from the trading post). World completion itself can be a long and tedious process.
While it seems the question wasn’t exactly about what I’m referring to in this topic, it made me think of how it would be much more convenient if, for example, you could have your same currently soulbound Eternity from your Warrior be used by your Guardian.
Now, this may invalidate the effort that some players have already put into making extra legendary weapons of the same type. To counter that, they could be given options to unbind them once, or even dismantle the weapons into their original, base ingredients.
What are your thoughts?
EDIT: I believe that making legendary weapons accessible to your whole account will also increase the value of this hard-to-earn weapon class, being the only one to provide said feature.

EDIT #2: This is NOT a thread requesting we get any sort of runes, color, or colored runs on the HoM Fellblade skin – this is a thread requesting either the new smoke effect from Lord Taeres’s Shadow or the GW1 effect to be reimplemented on to GW2 Fellblades
That being said,
The attachment shows the difference between the original Fellblade from HoM and Fellblade 2.0 (Lord Taeres’s Shadow). Please for the love of all that’s holy apply the same new smoke effect to existing Fellblades from HoM.
As you can see, the old Fellblade has almost no noticeable effects. I took the screenshot for it when I saw that it was most prominent in the preview so I could accurately compare and that’s all I got. There are videos showing this as well.
So is there any chance we can update the Fellblades to share the same smoke effect or even get the old GW1 effect back? Preferably the GW1 effect.
Go ahead and take a look at the concept art or the GW1 version and then look at the Gw2 version.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fellblade
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Fellblade
“The Fellblade is a rare sword with black, shadowy clouds moving across it. It is one of the largest swords in the game. "
Even the concept art seems to have the GW1 affect of the shadowy clouds moving through the blade. So why did we end up getting such a plain weapon when the original was so epic?
Off topic but sort of related, when you transmute a Fellblade to an actual weapon, the icon changes into something way less epic than the actual Fellblade icon. Any chance that will ever be remedied as well?

So after many (9) hours i finally reached world 3. Since I doubt few people would record gameplay just to pause it to translate it, here is an approximate translation (Some of words seem to be partially spelled, so i extrapolated what they were not sure if this was intended for some reason)
