Yeah, kitten customers for demanding better service! We should just take what company’s give us and keep our mouths shut!
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Wish I understood the reasoning behind number 1…
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
Anet has already fixed this. You can now transmutate an exotic stat over the legendary stat; the legendary still keeps it’s purple name. **In fact, you can also make it accountable by making it a white item, then moving it to whatever toon, then making it an exotic again while still keeping it’s purple name. I have done this with all my legendaries, and they have all remained legendary
**I wouldn’t do this to Sunrise, or Twilight, as it will not let you make Eternity afterwards.
And being player regulated has led to where we are now with the current prices climbing still. Its not going to stop.
Well, the majority of the playerbase still thinks its worth more to convert Gold → Gems than it is to convert Gems → Gold. Hence the increase. You’re looking at it solely from the perspective of people who don’t want to spend IRL money on the game. While you have a right to complain, Anet also has to look out for themselves. And the fact that you can purchase Gems with in-game gold is an admirable compromise.
I stopped reading after you said you only use staff.
Every class I don’t play is overpowered. <—- mantra of every single pvp player ever.
Economists neither sleep nor leave, I was never gone, I just require interesting posts
I bought 3 with cash. I have lots of cash though, and this my hobby. No matter how I slice it, it’s far cheaper than golf.
I’d rather they just make it a skin instead of rare armor. At least then we wouldn’t have to waste transmutation crystals on it :P
Tier 3 Cultural Armor is not meant to have the best stats. People buy it for the skin, which is meant to be expensive. It’s supposed to be a set that not very many people have, and lowering the cost would change that.
There is nothing you can do in game that is “illegal” (unless you’re somehow breaking laws), pretty sure you’re referring to “being against the Terms of Service”.
Anyway, it’d only be against the ToS if someone played on your account. You have no issues, outside of trust, giving people money to play with. Just be aware that ANet will not support you if you don’t get your money back.
It’s being sold for effects not for infinite uses
I got my ROI less than a second after I mined my first node with it. I bought it as a toy, not to save gold. I think for many folks the unlimited part wasn’t about mining nodes, it was about being able to have the effect an unlimited number of times. Even if some ubernode is added that I can’t mine with it, I won’t be sad because it will still work on all the other nodes.
He might start thinking he knows what’s right for you.

I have played GW2 for 5 months now, and I found it really fun, having leveled almost all classes to 80, and tried all classes in SPVP, played for 1,2k+ hours, however lately I’ve been getting really bored with the game. Please guys, introduce something new, not just new gear and make me grind fotm or cof more. Add new dungeons, new armor looks, something to work towards with new content. Just my 2 cents.
Because to be honest, most of the people are just playing the game the way its meant to be played. Anet then comes and retroactively claims something you are doing is an exploit and then bans you.
In the current form of the EULA, Anet does not attempt to define “Exploit,” and thus literally anything and everything you do in game can be labeled as an “exploit,” and result in a ban. This is fully in their legal right, but honestly very bad customer service.

So drive up the prices and make ppl who dont use real money grind much more? yea that plan makes so much sense.
And wheres proof of this intention? I dont mean the gem store prices are high I think they are super- but gold to gem rate is.. just I mean 4g wont even get me 140gems.
I imagine you use your money – Arena net only caters to those ppl any more though.
The ability of the Gem exchange rate to adapt to in-game inflation is an incredibly elegant system.
1. People who don’t like to spend real life money:
Benefits them, because you can use in-game gold to purchase things in the Gem Store. All other games with microtransactions off the top of my head does not have this ability.
2. People who want to convert real-life money to in-game gold
Because it adjusts to in-game inflation, the gems you buy today will be worth the same a year from now, when adjusted for inflation. When the game first came out, 100 gems got you like 20s. If that rate was flat, no one in their right minds would convert Gems to Gold. But because it adjusts to inflation, it keeps people who like to convert money into gold happy.
3. Anet
By allowing it to adjust for inflation, Anet encourages the activity of people #2 over #1, which is important since #2 spends real-money, and #1 doesn’t. If the Gem exchange rate stayed flat, no one in their right mind would purchase gems today, since Gold is so easy to get.
The Gem Exchange Rate which adjusts for in-game inflation is an elegant compromise of the 3 parties above. You’re looking at it from just #1’s perspective.
You can run zerks in fotm. You just have to be a decent player. Sounds like this guy wanted to just facetank crap.
You suffered from bad players , not bad gearsets.

7 weeks for Twilight. 5 weeks for Bolt. No farming and no real money involved.
And for sure no CoF.
So… basically, you only played the market.
Nintendo hard only appeals to a niche within a niche. The ping thing is certainly an issue that 8-bit games didn’t have to deal with, so I don’t think normal mode SAB will get Nintendo hard even in the last world because we want as many people as possible to be able to do it. (It’s going to be a tricky balance to not make it too easy in order to accommodate those with bad ping.) But future Worlds will be much much harder than World 1. And hard mode will be there for that niche within a niche who have good ping and want to punish themselves.
10 bucks for a pick. It looks cool, no arguments here, but considering the price.. It would be nice if it at least gave us a couple for alts. That, or at least multi-tool for wood and herbs.
But I was a Charr born in a Human body. Halp, Asuran technology!
Life must be very hard for you. :P
World 1 cages are meant to be a cake-walk. The problem comes with grinding and feeling the need to fight them 20 times a day. That’s a problem I hope to address next release. Also the cages in future worlds will have more interesting attack patterns that will require some level of strategy. Also I fully endorse finding secret spots where bosses can’t hit you. That’s part of classic platform game strategy.
Nice to hear that….those safe spot actually made the cage fights something to look forward to (you just have alt-tab back into the game at the right moment
) thanks @PolarTank
Well.. that kinda is your fault. You see, there are many people with multiple alts who we all want to gear up with Super weapons. Requiring us to open 25 chests for 1 skin, it’s kinda hard to avoid the need for grinding it.
Don’t grind then, you always can buy those skins from TP, not a big deal.
People grind because it is faster for them to grind baubles than to grind the money they would need for the skins. Not a great advice, sorry dude…
Welcome to Ascalon, the Citadel of Flame is this way.

The legendary weapons, being the endgame equipments, having limited stat combinations is a really poor idea. We should be able to transmute it and retain any options we’d normally have if we didn’t. Transmuting shouldn’t reduce an item’s value.
As for other items, ascended backpieces can be transmuted and still be infused, so there.

the light helps in some of the darker areas (first “dark area” is woods in zone 2 but zone 3 is where it comes in handy)
It also burns down the sticky plants in zone 3 allowing you to pass unmolested.
I like SAB a lot and I do few speed runs every day…you could say I am looking forward to it.
However, I have noticed that the only moment when I feel like it is a grind and I am not enjoying it, is when I have to auroattack the cages at the end of each zone while watching closly the boss to avoid the beam. It seems little bit too repetitive….I’m still not annoyed fighting the frog (I like it takes only 2 crystals to kill it so it doesnt feel extremely long)
How do you guys feel about them? I just hope we won’t have to hammer on those cages in every future zone. Hopefully we’ll get something else…or at least something that destroys the cages really fast.
They had male/female versions of outfits in Guild Wars 1.

Just as examples. Almost all their costumes had a male/female version. They could design outfits that looked different, depending on whether your character was male or female. Sort of like how the cook outfit changes according to race. On my Sylvari, it’s leafy. On my other character, it’s cloth.
Edit: my guess the problem is the multiple races. They have to design at least 5 different versions of each outfit as is. If you make a male/female version then it’s the 2 separate designs then another 5 designs, so it adds up. A lot simpler just to make a unisex version.
