I can’t enjoy a game unless someone is telling me how to do so. Thank the lord for this post.
You’ll get a new race with an expansion, which they’ve confirmed that they aren’t working on right now.

Personally, I rerally hate the whole leader board thing. This was supposed to be a friendly cooperative, game. Will it now turn into a stupid competition over points?
I think I will ignore the boards completely and try to tolerate the braggarts.
I wouldn’t worry about leaderboards so much. There is nothing impressive about playing a game more than someone else.
Anyone that brags about that is just sad.
Since the achievement points were doing exactly nothing up to now (and still are, until leatherboards are open for viewing), you haven’t lost anything as well. And the devs said they will do something about infinite achievements for few months already, so it’s not like there was no warning.
Actions, not words.

I can only assume that the number of players willing to shell out money for a chance at something via Black Lion chests far outnumbers the players that dislike this sort of thing. If people were unwilling to gamble for rewards, I doubt this would be done. Personally, I don’t pay money to gamble in a video game, but it seems clear to me that many, many others do. Therefore, we see it repeated.
You’ll see small tents perched on top of a Veteran Karka soon or a Char riding a Veteran Karka.
its a perfect place for two races who are known warriors if you ask me…
Braham explained this in the quests. He asked the charr first because he had personal issues with some of the norn and wanted to avoid dealing with them if possible. The anchor for this part of the story is Braham and his story led him to the charr before the norn.
It’s one of the things which increases the importance of the player in the story. We choose to ally with him regardless of what the norn or charr are doing. We are heroes, not one in an army of many.
It… tells you why in the dialogue. It’s pretty much the first thing Braham explains to you when you talk to him. Do you people just skip all the text to get back to bashing skulls or something?
This is just part 3/4 of the Flame & Frost Living Story.
Yes. The next Priory representative will be a Karka.

They better not only be available through the chests. They handled it correctly during wintersday with the weapons themselves being listed on the gem store. You would think they would learn from their past mistakes.

My advice is not to rush leveling. Take time to explore what GW2 has to offer, and it does offer up content even for low to mid levels.
GW2 gives XP for almost everything you do: explore a new place, get to a vista, place of interest, gathering, crafting, extra XP for killing new mobs. And when you run out of place to explore or quests to do in your starting area, consider visiting other races’ starting area, via the Asura gates found in Lions Arch, which can be reached via an Asura gate in your race’s capital city.
I get your point, but I think it all comes down to taste. I don’t find fart jokes funny, but some people think they’re hilarious. You don’t like the somewhat goofy humor, I love it. I loved Sieran and Tybalt both. Tybalt because of his backstory and Sieran because of her “loose cannon” attitude.
I would recommend the Vigil storyline if you like a more serious note, don’t know if you’ve already done that.
Your leaving because of Tybalt? Ok leave because of treherne leave because of logan but Tybalt
Hating Tybalt is like hating kittens

You can’t have a good story with ONLY seriousness all the time, real people aren’t like that. When things get bad, sometimes a bit of humour is all you have to keep morale up.
I don’t think you read all the tolkien books.
Welcome to my world – http://emikochan13.wordpress.com
Tybalt is actually a wonderful character. I think you’re just too focused on the whole “we’re spies, we look cool” vibe. He’s round in that he acts comical to hide his inadequacies, but when the moment of truth arrives, he redeems himself by making the ultimate sacrifice. Original? Not really. But he’s certainly well written. Much more than I can say for one particular plant.

When I played GW1, I seriously did not know the White Mantle were the bad guys. I remember stopping and saying “what? whoa whoa whoah, wait. what??” for a few seconds :p
Don’t disturb me, I have a cat in me at the moment.
Are you using the transmutation stones correctly?
Once you have clicked and dragged the two armour pieces into the boxes, you must click which armour style you want of the two, which core stats, and which upgrades if any.
Then it should say “Transmutation good” or something similar.
99% of people would not have bought. Pretty obvious.
Most people I tell about GW2 tell me they haven’t bought it themselves because they assume there is a monthly fee. When I tell them there isn’t, they are all of a sudden really really interested.
I wouldn’t of purchased it if it had a monthly fee. It’s probably good enough for one (if WoW can have one, GW2 definitely can), I just don’t agree with that philosophy. I usually play huge online games for a couple/few years, and even $20/month is $720 after 3 years. too much for something that passes the time. I never get into these games enough to make it my life.

In short, how do you guys occupy yourselves at max level?
Mostly by doing all the same stuff that we were doing before max level.
To me, it seems like the biggest problem for wow vets isn’t that there’s no “end game” as they know it, it’s that they’ve been trained to rush through “leveling” to reach “end game” and when they reach max level, they realize that it’s still the same game they were playing 1-79.
ie: no magic switch will be flipped at 80 that changes the game you were previously playing into a whole new experience.
if you enjoyed the stuff you did while leveling for it’s own sake, you’ll enjoy the game at 80… if the stuff you did on your way to 80 was just “something I need to rush through so I can be 80”.. you’ll hit max level and immediately feel bored and directionless.

The game was never going to become a WoW killer anyway. Not straight out of launch, at least.
What the people who were screaming ‘WoW-killer’ and the people saying ‘WoW has 9mil subs’ seemed to forget was that WoW didn’t start out with them numbers. They built up to them.
That being said, this game doesn’t need to be a WoW-killer to be a huge success.
Life is a journey.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Really depends on a number of factors.
1. What profession do you play?
2. What enemies are present in the quest?
3. Do you have level 10 gear or starter gear on?
4. Is this your first character, and/or are you comfortable with the combat system and dodging?
Short answer: You can do quests a couple of levels up, but it will be more difficult. I did a level 14 quest at level 10 earlier today. There is no harm in trying it and seeing how you do.
let’s face it: people waiting for a boss are not playing. they wouldn’t be playing somewhere else if they weren’t not playing, they would just be not playing somewhere else.
that’s ignoring the likelihood all of the people waiting for a boss for 1 hour are bots.
I’ve waiting 20 min for a boss before. had GW2 windowed, an episode of The Office on next to it, and eating 2 slices of pizza.

It should not be a bannable offense. The guild is in complete control over who has access to the the guild bank. The dinner party analogy is flawed. Here is a better one: Would you put someone on your real life bank account that you just met? Would you allow someone access to your real life bank account that you don’t trust?
In other words, if you give someone the opportunity to misbehave or commit a crime he is entitled to do so?
How is it a crime when someone gives you access to the money?
Exactly. If someone’s name is on a bank account, they are perfectly able to drain the account and never talk to you again.
Being ABLE to do something does NOT mean you should do it.

And now I am putting Crabman.6839 on my list of people not to invite into any of my guilds.
To the OP – the fact that “everyone will have one too” shouldn’t be a factor in your desire to obtain a legendary. That race was won about a month after the game was released. You should get it to make yourself happy, not to flaunt in front of other people to show how “cool” you are.
Just my opinion.
