It is called “Holy Trinity” for a reason, you need to worship her and follow her rules tight to works. It is a MMO religion, a faith.
To make it work, by the cost of freedom. Freedom to build your class, freedom to create better combat mechanics.
I am not a believer, and GW2 is not a religion, so NO, this game is a minority out there for non-believer, are you suggesting to rip away our freedom with your believe?

I have to play devil’s advocate here.
Some people have to really go away just for 30 seconds – 1 minute because of something happening in real life. These things include getting a important phone call about work, spilling drinks all over the keyboard, a child needs attention, or something else.
I once had to afk in just a PvP match for two minutes because I tipped over my water and had to get it cleaned up and switch chairs. Water was dangerously close (on the carpet) to my computer so I just ignored the game and get a towel/moved my pc a little. Came back with two hate mails saying I made their team lose, how I was this and that, and how I was reported for botting.
They were in the same guild and this happened about seven months ago but still, some people just have to afk for unknown reasons and giving players the option to report afk is too much power and will annoy the devs in the report areas.
The new composers are above and beyond anything Jeremy Soule has done recently.
Just saying, but as great as Soule is, I am really hoping the new team of composers get the opportunity they deserve for the spotlight.
From the memorable Christmas themes, to the theme of Southsun Cove, to the elegant Zephyr Sanctum, the LOVEABLE Super Adventure Box, Marionette, Tower of Nightmares, and now this… C’mon ANET, give these guys the attention they deserve.
Yes, this cue is fine indeed, and my thanks go to Leif Chapelle for following such a leitmotivic approach by using variations of Scarlet’s theme (first heard during her appearance in Queen’s Jubilee). The prior theme is twisted into becoming a dirge as it goes through different movements. The melancholy feel of it with dark choral presence, wailing strings, beautiful piano and a steady beat in rhythm create an almost tragic atmosphere for someone who could’ve been a great asset to the world but who fell from grace and became a pawn of a more sinister force in the end.
Agreed. The music really goes well with the event and if you like to listen to it or download the theme, you can find the music at https://soundcloud.com/arenanet/guild-wars-2-battle-on-the
Can’t… I don’t play anymore nor have the desire to get rid of 400 glory boosters i got…
Cool story brah, but you really did not have to take the time to come tell us that you quit. Reminds me of people that graduated from H.S but still go back in their lettered jacket.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.
Of course it’s way better than ESO in every way.
Nope. Not outdoors. Not in dungeons. Not in WvW (RvR).
I do not miss them Sam I Am.
I used to play Tank, Healer and DPS on 3 accounts at the same time while raid leading. (Doing this manually without any keystroke copies, reaching over and hitting keys and moving manually.)
GW2 got some things rights. Lack of trinity and all that goes with it is one of them.
I hate trinity, thanks Anet for not putting this unfair feature in game that always make certain classes welcome in groups wile others (usually assassins) are not welcomed and cant find pt entire day for a dungeon
No real need to be derisive of other people’s opinions. Some would rather have bi-weekly releases rather than waiting much longer periods of time. Some believe that what might be found in what is normally termed ‘expansion’ can be delivered through the Living Story method of content releases.
No one knows, as of now, how said content may be released, only that it will come, according to the Devs. You can believe that, or no. I would prefer it was released through the Living Story, but that is my, and just my, preference.
A hint. Tails do not grow out of your back. They start a little bit lower than this.

Nice thread. I don’t know how many of these issues we can feasibly tackle, but I’m sure you’ll see at least a few fixes come from this.
I do a LOT of running around in this game.
I’m quite pleased that my home nodes are w/in just a few steps of my entrance point.
How about we get to employ the orphans to mine the resources for us while we’re busy fighting dragons?

Long before there were emotes, people RPed. I"m pretty sure emotes don’t equal RP. I’m an old school RPers who can’t RP because emotes are just silly.
Go get yourself a personal guild bank (everyone should have one, anyway) and use that as personal storage for your gold.
Guild Bank already has restrictions.New guild members can’t withdraw from the guild bank for 24 (or 48 or….i don’t remember how many hours) and you can add restrictions yourself through ranks. You let others to “steal” from your guild bank..
“We are now! We are forever!”
I think it is implied that reports of foul language, insults, harassment etc. are actually being investigated and the offender dealt with rather swiftly.
Just logged into Star Trek Online after ~10 months away… Zone chat was absolutely the worst I’ve seen in some time. I mean, terrible: sexism, racism, homophobia.
HEY! Yeah, you.
Whatever team is in charge of keeping this—my primary game—welcoming…thank you! Seriously, thank you, moderation team. Sometimes you don’t know what you have ‘till you don’t have it. <3 and cookies and stuff

Been a while ago, but so funny i remember it as if it was yesterday.
Ive just capped Lowlands camp and saw 3 thieves running into me, the moment they went stealth i dodged 2 times in front of supervisor, just to see 3 downed bodies in front of it ( this was before they nerfed the supervisors damage ). Got to love being a ranger and watch greedy thieves die like that.

Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.
I’m headed back from a 3-month stint in World of Warcraft.
The amount of content Arenanet puts out for free is absolutely stunning by comparison. People complain about “temporary content is temporary” and “I didn’t like X event” or whatever, but hey… you never know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone.
I sure as heck wasn’t going to raid SoO for another YEAR while waiting on WoD, which is essentially featureless as an expansion.
