I think the real question is, why are you not dodging an extremely clearly telegraphed attack?

You can purchase them from directly in game from the Black Lion screen.

You got that right. You should listen to yourself.

Depending on your server you might be able to ask them to help you out.

There was a few times when, in the lull after we’d taken and secured one location, I’d ask if we could go after a particular tower or even a keep once, because I needed it for map completion and people would go for it.

Of course it does need to be a realistic goal, but if it’s possible people might well go for it.

Other than that and the ideas already suggested it’s pretty much a matter of waiting until your server switches colours.

1- Jump on your server’s karma train and pray they go to the locations you want.
2- Grab several people and 3~5 man them if you don’t want a zerg.
3- Pray your server gets the “right color” every week because certain keeps/towers in EBG seem to never flip owners.
4- Dead server? Either #2 or server transfer.

I have no problems with my Ranger in PvE, and I enjoy pet classes. They’re always my first choice.

First way works too, at least that’s what I’ve been doing.

All achievements are account-wide, so you can do them using any character. On a related note, achievement rewards can also be shared between characters.

They are only repetitious and the arguments stale for those that have been reading the forums for a long time. For people new to the forums, the topics are new and the arguments fresh.

Stifling discussion because you have heard it before is not reasonable nor is it healthy for the forum to constantly be closing off polite, well meant discussion. Any discussion, no matter how hackneyed and stale it is to you, is new and fresh to someone else. They should be allowed to discuss it, just as you once discussed it for the first time.

If you came up with a idea, would you feel it best handled by being immediately shut down with the reason, others have already discussed this subject. Wouldn’t you feel dissatisfied and feel maybe you had something to say that they didn’t and that it wasn’t fair to tell you to be quiet just because others had had their say.

Your post, OP, comes across to me as the long term forum posters saying to new people, “I had my say and now I’m not allowing you to have yours”.

First off, no on the stat parts. That would be a nightmare in pvp and second, how do you think this would affect charr players?

I would be ever so honored if Anet planned something like that. I’m really having fun with this story. I only wish I found out about it sooner.

This is, in my humble opinion, one of the best kitten ed threads I have read in any forum anywhere EVER….

I would humbly suggest, that in homage to the wonderful characters that have come to life through this thread, that you might consider immortalizing the characters in the story by placing non-interactive NPCs in LA. If one were to try to converse with them, they could say something about their story.

I do believe that these wonderful people with the big imaginations should be honored.

I know it may hurt ArenaNet’s pride or something but, seriously, why have you not just implemented the Google search idea yet? Search has been pretty much unusable for as long as I can remember and even the most recent dev posts on this thread suggest that ArenaNet literally has no idea whatsoever why it’s not working. It’s pretty clear that the issue will not be resolved for a very, very, very long time (read: it will never be resolved). Please just implement Google search and be done with it. I’d rather have an in forum search that can target particular sections or threads but obviously ArenaNet is only capable of programming MMOs, not complicated stuff like forums.

Fyi, the Explorer achievement is not the same as World Completion. The 174/175 you are looking at is for Explorer and has nothing to do with vistas, poi’s and such. Look at this link for any missing areas you need to uncover:

Wait, wait, wait and wait. I know it’s annoying but really, besides that annoying missing 1% complete in the corner of your map screen there is no real rush for complete unless you have your precursor and everything else that you need to make a legendary.

Word to the wise: After guesting and doing your temple purchasing, port somewhere safe before you log back to your home server. Or you’ll get eaten by Risen before the loading screen clears.

You can’t salvage karma gear directly. But there is a work around.
1: get a regular level 60 (or above) gearpiece of the same kind and a transmutation crystal
2: transmutate the rune to the level 60 gearpiece
3: This is now salvagable. Use a BL salvage kit to peel the rune off.

It’s not a breach on privacy because they have no idea about any personal information about you. Would it matter if they were harassing you because of something you said in game as opposed to something you said in the forum. Either way, you report and block. People who are going to harass will find someone and something to harass other about.

Of course sales drop, the games been out a year.

EDIT: Box sales are not the primary source of income for MMO’s.
