Before you buy two whole sets of armor to merge into one set with the looks and stats you want, follow what Mystic Starfish says. Each of the dungeon vendors has 3 sets of the same skins, with different stats. You have to scroll down to see the other two sets. You might find CoF gear you like as-is.

I agree get rid of this. It is very annoying, and I hold on to mats that I will never use simply because of it.

If they do this I hope they bloody well make it retroactive. :<

Simple idea, one-handed wepons can have one sigil same as two-handed.

If i have equiped 2 one-handed weapons that means i have one more extra effect on them as i would have by equiping a two-handed.

I like two-handed weapons and they are my play stile, but why would i lose that one extra effect that those who weild 2 one-handed weapons have, seems not fair.

Not sure if it was a subject like this, if it wasnt pls tell me what you guys think

Well, it’d be time two handed weapons would get the stat bonus of two single handed weapons – like giver’s prefix.
As they also implemented dual-infusions, I don’t see a big reason not to get a second sigil slot …

I salvage all my blues and greens with basic salvage kits. I’m up to 90% luck so far, and I don’t really farm, just play events, monthly content, WvW, etc.

Highly impractical, friend. What would a warrior do with, say, a scepter or a focus?

Use Transmutation Crystals. You can buy them in the gem store, or, rarely, receive them from Black Lion Chests and Daily Reward Chests.

I’m pretty sure if you’re talking about games in general anyone who plays an MMO qualifies as a hardcore gamer. On a broad scale like that ‘casual gamer’ would be reserved for the people who play Angry Birds on the train to work, or have regular games of Facebook Scrabble with their friends.

True, but I think most people know this. The OP wants to buy obsidian shards. They cost 2100 karma. So thats 3,5 days per shard in that method. The more important part off the daily is that you get laurels. 3 dailies means 3 laurels that can be spent on 3 shards. So yes it is good to do your pve daily. it gives you 1 shard a day, plus and extra 2 every week cause off the karma (not calculating the karma from events in the progress off the daily)

No, I’m not talking about the “daily” achievement where you complete 5 of 8 options. I’m talking about the option that’s always on the daily list to do the daily “activity” which chooses between pvp games, like Keg Brawl, Sanctum Sprint, etc. Each time you do one match, you get 600 karma if you lose, and 1000 karma if you win. Sorry for the confusion.

Also guild recruitment spammers. It doesn’t stop them but it does stop them filling up the whole bar.

As for how long until you can chat again as far as I can tell it varies depending on a number of factors. How similar your messages are definitely affects it (for example saying ‘thanks’ over and over will get you blocked sooner and for longer than switching it up with ‘ty’ or ‘thank you’ every so often).

It also seems to be affected by how many other people are talking. If chat is fairly busy you have to be literally spamming to get blocked, if it’s quiet you can say 2 things, 10 minutes apart, and that might set it off.

I’m not sure what else might be involved, those are just my observations.

1) If you are in PvE you are not obligated to follow a commander just because one is on the map. There can be a lot of different things happening on the same map, many of which might benefit from having a commander involved – some people might be doing a guild mission, there might be champions up, one of Scarlet’s Invasions might start etc. etc.

But if you’re not interested in doing the same stuff the commander is you don’t have to follow them. You definitely don’t have to follow them whilst berating them for not doing what you want and demanding they drop everything to comply so that you can follow them around.

2) But on the other hand if you are a commander and you display your tag while on a PvE (or WvW) map you have to accept that it’s a giant sign to everyone else there that something interesting is happening at your location and (unless they’re already in the middle of something) they should come and join in. If you’re actually just playing solo and don’t want people following you around, turn it off don’t leave it up and keep yelling at them to go away.

I can’t get in-game to experiment with the character creator but off the top of my head I’d recommend choosing human female (obviously) and probably one of the faces to the left. You’ll definitely need to play with the sliders but I think it should be possible.

Oh and if you’re wanting that specific name I’d check first to see if it’s taken. It’d be a shame to spend ages working on the face only to find someone else got there first. (Although you could always go with a slight variation.)

Man I just posted about this very thing 5 min ago on another thread. I for one would love to see more duelist or human cultural tier 3 styled sets for medium armor. It doesn’t even have to be skimpy, just feminine at least. I’m tired of my character looking awkwardly encumbered by their gear. I do kinda like the cash shop skins they have added lately although one did still have a trench coat theme I thought its pleated mini skirt and tighter waist made it at least look feminine.

I have to respectfully disagree with you there. anet puts all their attention on female armor while the male armor suffers. As a male player that actually roles a male character, I want to see less feminine male gear. I’m tired of seeing armor with one sleeve or shoulder, and ridiculous head gear. I like the heavy armor more, but sadly I cannot wear it with my chosen profession.

I think you misunderstand, my comment about more feminine armor is directed specifically at the female armor. As far as I’m concerned the male equivalent can be equally masculine

Medium armor wearers would kill for skimpy/sexy/bikini/whateveryouwanttocallitbecauseitdoesntfreakingmatter armor. Our choices are tenchcoats or duelist. That’s it. Well, there’s racial armor too I guess.
