Sorry but Gold for Gems never was meant to be the primary means to buy Gems. They want you to spend cash, they need you to spend cash. This is how a cash shop game stays open.

I buy my gems with real money and I still wouldn’t buy a single BL key with them. I understand the allure of gambling to some people, and if you’re paying to play the gamble boxes, then by all means, but I prefer to pay money for something I know I will get. To show ANet that, I bought a couple of those F&F skins they put up. Hopefully they do it more often so I can continue to speak with my wallet about what they should and should not do.
Because they want you to use real money, but in the end the results are lackluster.
RNG boxes need to go, its getting insulting.
If you don’t like the wings, don’t use them. It’s simple as that.
^This. Some of you act as if you are forced to get skins.
Ugh. I really wish “immersion” was a censored word that got “kittened” out.
Immersion is probably my least favorite word ever in an MMO. People use the term “immersion breaking” as a crutch for things they dislike.

I absolutely want to see wings with feathers. T3 cultural human armors on guardians + sunrise + that wings = angel witch will be very cool, something like red demon wings will be awesome too, i like and want more backpieces, no matter what are they (wings, quivers, books act. )
People in the champ train should reflect on the possibility that ANet might decide to nerf the champ trains to cut down on reports of abusive language rather than increasing their GM budget to handle them.
I don’t advocate nerfing events because of rude behavior, but aside from account suspensions and bans, removing the cause of the disagreements is the only recourse ANet has. People who want the trains to continue should be telling other trainers to keep it civil, and should use negative reinforcement if need be. It’s in their own best interests.
…just sayin’.
I guess the best policy is to myob and stay out of other peoples concerns. You just logged in and really, you weren’t directly involved. I say this reagardless of the fact that I believe people can kill what they want and when they want. But move on, play the game like you want to, let others play the way they want, stay away from direct confrontations, no matter if you like the train or not.
You have a good point. I’m just posting this here because I think it’s a big problem that the community treats others this way when they kill bosses in the wrong order….

You promise? Well I beg to differ. Have you attempted to reach out to others? Have you joined a guild? Have you used the LFG tool?
This game isn’t going to hold your hand when it comes to grouping. That’s entirely on us as players to decide for ourselves. I would suggest making better choices.
I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that if you make the effort then you will eventually build up your friends list and you might not ever play alone again. It does take time though as I’m pretty sure that the other game you played didn’t drop you into a group right out of the gate. I’m pretty sure that it probably took you a bit of time back then to get to where you were grouping wise but might just not remember how it was when you first started playing 8 years ago.
tl;dr give it time & effort…it will come.
Just my opinion of course but I make no promises.
I would like to see a split between commander types. Make pve-commanders separate from WvW commanders.
Step one: Refund all current commander badges. commanderstatus should be earned, not bought!
Step 2: add a new guild currency for WvW. A guild can earn this currency by capturing and holding forts/mines/camps in WvW (if claimed). If a guild runs boosters (WvW Fort +40 thoughness or things like that) they get more wvw currency. If they have enough a guildleader can buy a WvW commander tag for one off their members. This WvW commander tag is not accountbound or soulbound but only works when representing the guild it was bought for! This tag will be orange
For PvE a simular system exist. But here a tag cost influence and merits (im thinking bout 100 merits and 50k influence). Again this tag is not soulbound or accountbound, but can only be used when representing the guild who paid for it. This tag will be purple.
Result: You need a guild active in WvW to get a WvW tag and a guild active in PvE to get a pve tag. Due to the fact that it is challenging to get a tag for a guildmember, it is given to those that have a good amount of respect and trust within their guild.
Combined with the OP’s suggestions it would make the quality off the commanders better and also the possibillity’s they have.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Please, we need to be able to see guildies as green dots and squad-mates as orange dots (or pick some colors you like) on maps.
This is needed due to the very restrictive 5-person limit on parties. It would help in almost every aspect of the game including map grinding, farming, events, knowing who might be nearby to ask for help on missions, … … … [insert every other aspect of the game here].
Thanks.
Try to imagine a Charr in a bikini and sandals.

2 important qol changes
- give me right click on a stack bags/container the option “OPEN ALL”
- give me on Vendor right click on his items a option where i can write how much i wanna buy
it is more than anoying to open 1000 Bags or buy 5000 Jugs of Water – you guys on Arenanet should trie it than ya know what im talking bout
this clicking is sooooo 1995 and i dont wanna break my mouse
edit:
another qol change – not so important but would be very nice to have
give me option on my inventar AND Bank to build stacks/sort items – im a crafter and have tons Materials every day in my bank and my bank is most time chaos
edit again:
- give guildbank/master option “materials free to crafting” so we can use this materials when craft like we would have it in our bank

Nike, I strongly agree with this. One day, I was feeling a bit compulsive and went against my “spend real money” philosophy. I bought whatever $35USD represents in crystals. Within a day, I had the Master Crafter title. That totally put things in perspective because, for the person who would flat out buy a legendary, $35 is nothing.
So, they are telling the truth when they say “play how you want to play”. Is spending real money legendary? Go for it. Is grinding the mats legendary? Go for it. (Personally, the only thing that I think is legendary in that particular goal is world completion…but someone else might see farming 500 crystalline dusts as legendary.)
“you lose out” isn’t acceptable. Its a design flaw.
Maybe it’s a flaw in your point of view? Entitlement much?
I want a brand new Ferrari to drive. I can’t afford it because I get this tiny little paycheck, and that’s totally unfair that I can’t drive around in a new Ferrari. They should sell them for $1500 each so I can buy one.
Most of the states it IS illegal, as well as being Federally illegal. If you can not access the game to change your character name, it may be because you have been suspended previously, or had to change a character’s name in the past.
While I find to many pop culture references can ruin immersion, I enjoy little hidden easter eggs like this!
All hail Ceiling Cat!
Also, you should change the “don’t” in your signature to “do not” so that it’s a haiku :>

Feed them and they multiply.
Please do not feed them.
It would be nice if Anet introduced a similar system as in gw1, where it showed on your friends list who your recent team mates were.
If they were talking you should have names in the chat log.
From my experiences, comments made in party chat disappear when you are no longer in the party.

Especially in this game, I’m noticing that people buy the most expensive thing in the game to display their wealth instead of their experience with certain aspects of the game. Therefore, the tags are basically handed to complete morons that have no idea how to use it, so they rep 100% of the time and afk with it.
So they’re the MMO equivalent of European sports cars…
